[R-San]Kaid Rei's training

OOC: I know I’ve been slacking but that’s all changing with this post I am dedicated to making it my best to this very day.

BIC: Kaid opened the door that lead out of the strange room. He still chuckled to himself about what had happened in there, especially when Aurora turned Starfire’s pie around and attacked him with it. The archer had to admit, his teacher was clever if not more. As He walked to his room he received several comments on his attire, no one thought pie crust was an appropriate thing to wear in public. He responded by telling the story of what had happened, and those who happened to pass by chuckled to themselves. The elf grew tired of repeating the tale and soon began to ignore the comments, however brutal they may be he was determined to ignore them. Kaid reached for the door handle to his room, he was still laughing over the décor of the interior. It must have been coincidental that the door handle happen to be of a bird’s talons. Maybe Aurora had planned it this way, just for laughs. Either way this was Kaid’s new room and he supposed it would be for a while if he kept up his shoddy work. The archer needed to remember he was here for training, not for petty games. The sooner he could graduate from this strange place the sooner he would be able to track down Hefru, the one who gave him this accursed eye.

Kaid was wondering how he was to bath. He was accustomed to a river or maybe a large pond. He thought of how awful it must be to not be able to stretch one’s arms while in the water. To him it would seem like drowning, but these things always had a way of working themselves out in this place. Surely enough he found a new door in his room that lead to a large steam filled room. It was like a hot spring and steam rose from a large bathing pool in the center of the room. Rocks surrounded the exterior holding the water inside the pool, and small plants had been planted in exquisite vases and placed around the pool. Kaid glanced to his left and noticed a large piece of glass that reflected his image back at him, almost like his sword but clearer and more focused. He now saw why those people had criticized his appearance, he looked dreadful. The elf was dressed in little more than rags which had been burned and singed. Mud covered his travel worn pants and his skin looked black with dirt. He touched the reflection and it gave slightly, Kaid drew his sword in haste, but there was nothing there. Only a new pair of clothes lay behind the strange glass for him while he repaired and washed his others. A pair of brown pants and a white shirt with a black tunic laid waiting for him when he had finished his bath. He put his weapons in the strange enclosed area behind the magnificent metal. So many things were strange to him here; while he lived in the woods he had never seen such wealth. Jewels covered a basin filled with cold water. This bathing area was the most elegant thing he had ever seen in his life. Kaid shed his old travel and battle worn garments and tossed them over into a corner. He dipped is body into the steaming pool, it was so refreshing to him.

After he had finished cleansing himself he adorned the new garments that waited for him in the enclosed space and re-equipped himself with his short sword, potions, bow and, arrows. He thrust his face into the cold water, and Kaid could feel the dirt leaving his pores. He decided that he would venture for something to eat, and brought along a book of melee combat techniques from the bookshelves in his main room, he always enjoyed a good read. He reached the cafeteria and decided that he could not eat this pre killed game. He must do it himself for it to mean anything. Although no one knew wear he might find some fresh game, a man suggested some of the mice in the gardens. They were a problem anyway might as well get rid of them. Kaid hurried off to the gardens which had become his favorite place in the Dome. He pulled out his sword; it was not beneficial to waste arrows on such small game. He caught several mice and started a small fire and cooked his meat. He had earned his keep; it was the only way he knew how to live. He soon relaxed under a large oak tree and fell fast asleep.

OOC: Kaid awoke abruptly; birds woke wake him. Apparently something had happened while he had slept. He felt for his bow, and short sword; they were still on him. He must have dozed off, sometime. Oh well, the elf felt rejuvenated and stood up quickly, he felt one of the feathers from his arrows brush the back of his neck. A note was pinned to the oak behind him using one of his arrows.

“About time she called for me.” Kaid yawned and headed off towards the fountain room, again. For some reason Aurora always called him to the fountain room, he thought that may hold some significance for her. But, he suspected that it was just a convenience for her. He gathered a few extra potion provisions and jammed them into their corresponding bottles and headed out of the gardens. It was just a short jaunt from the gardens to the fountain room but somehow he still managed to get distracted. It was just natural for him; he always had problems staying on task.

“I better get going.” Kaid muttered to himself. He went to the fountain room without delay this time.

“About time you got here.” Kaid heard Aurora say as he rounded the final corner.
