(R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

OOC: Alright, I copied this over to the new training school, hope you post back soon, R-San! And secondly, I forgot to add this a long time ago: Tokumaru’s profile says that he is 19 years old. But I thought, that since he has a thirteen-year-old son, that would involve him having sex when he was merely 8. + , no? So, He is actually 26, and I guess I’ll add that it was customary for him to get married at thirteen. Ok, moving on… BA warning: Rated PG-13 for Miniscule Sexual Reference, slight gore, and language.

BiC: Tokumaru sat on his bed, looking at the Hinotama, his sword, as it dangled from the small sheathe holder by two silk strings. He thought back at the greatly appreciated “gift” Aurora had given him only a few moments ago.

“I’m so sorry, Alex…” The mercenary said, thinking back at the words that came from his son’s mouth:

“I’m sorry too, that mom went away.”

Tokumaru cringed as his white knuckles grabbed the soft, yet durable fabric of his blue kimono. “Dammit, Alex…” He said as his eyes began to water. “I had to lie to you… If you had known the truth, then… then your mind wouldn’t be able to grasp the thought…”

Tokumaru fell back upon his bed, and a faint tear dropped down the left side of his face, transcending colors as it passed by the scar on the mercenary’s face. Soon enough, Tokumaru fell into a deep sleep…

His dream in this sleep was not very pleasant, and in fact, it could also be signaled out as a malicious nightmare. “No…” Muttered Tokumaru in his sleep. “No… Don’t go… Don’t betray your family…”

“Ethinia..." said Tokumaru as he gazed upon the small blonde baby boy in her arms. "His hair is so beautiful... just like yours..."

The Elven woman smiled faintly, but looked upon the boy that looked just like her husband; the complete opposite of what she oh so selfishly wanted. "He is a male... And he only has my blonde hair, and that's it. None of my other characteristics." She closed her eyes and sighed loudly. Tokumaru was suspicious...

Tokumaru awoke that very same night to find that Ethinia was not in bed with him, and that his sword was missing from his bedside holster. "Wha, what?" he said in strange confusion. The mercenary got up and walked over into the bathroom to freshen up, but his eyes met a horrible sight.

"AUGH!!!" he said in disgust. "E, ETHINIA!!!" She was on the ground, his sword in her hand. "WHA, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?" Her wrists were slit open, and she lay there on the floor with her blood all over Tokumaru’s sword. In her final breaths, she looked up to her husband in utter rage.

"You see??? You failed to fertilize a child with my characteristics or gender! So...in my rage, I have committed Seppuku... I would rather die than live with you and our failure son!" Her head fell to the ground. She had died.

Tokumaru shot his eyes open, and took notice that even in the quiet serenity of the Dome, he was sweating with fear. “I will never forgive you…” he said coldly as he went to his luxurious bathroom to freshen up. But as his feet walked along the velvet carpet towards a little relaxing bath, there was a knock at the door. The mercenary pivoted on one foot towards the oak-jeweled door. Then, with no effort at all, he opened it.

“Master, Kyô…” Said a strange looking fellow whom Tokumaru assumed was the person who knocked.

“Yes?” Asked Tokumaru kindly. “How may I assist you today?”

“I am a Domerii.” The strange man said. “We wander the halls of the Dome, providing service, message delivery, and in some cases, we even teach students miniscule tasks until they are given a proper teacher.” The Domerii dug into his pocket, which was laden with an assortment of different fabrics, and pulled out a note. “Here you are, Master Kyô. It comes from Ms. Aurora.”

“Thank you.” Said Tokumaru politely as he held the door open, as to see if the Domerii needed anything else.

“I bid you adieu.” The creature said. And with that, he disappeared unto the halls of the Dome. Tokumaru then closed his door, creating privacy for him to read his sensei’s letter.

He unfolded the parchment, which was riddled with a scent of different perfumes and feminine scents of the sort.

Please come to my quarters at your convenience. -Aurora

“Hmm….” Thought Tokumaru as he opened a jeweled chest at his bedside and placed the note inside, concealing it from prying eyes. Not as if anyone would go into his room, anyway. “Alright…” The mercenary said. “I wonder what she wants…”

* * *

Tokumaru walked down the Dome’s mysterious halls, noting once again the fathoms of mythic auras that phased in and out along the walls. “What is this place…” he asked himself. “The Dome… If it really is in another dimension, or… like Aurora told my peers and I, if it is in a multitude of dimensions, then… why? Why does it exist? If it has no beaten path… If it just wanders aimlessly through the dark void of space, then… Oh… Never mind…” he said, gripping his head at the intense thinking.

Sooner or later, Tokumaru came across a large and beautiful fountain. The support holster was made of a strange, crystalline substance that Tokumaru had never seen in his life. The crown of the fountain was also of this mysterious substance, and it shot out the clearest, most awing water Tokumaru had ever seen. And to top that off, the water even had a wonderful scent!

As he strayed a little from the fountain, he noticed that the walls lost their strange aura, and gradually became a bluish marble. The marble was so cleaned and polished, that the mercenary could even see his face in it!

But then, as he felt the aura of his teacher getting more powerful, he found a door. This door seemed completely out of place, as it wasn’t marble at all, as it was made of oak, just like his own door. It was a large door, and upon its surface were intricate designs of nature scenes that enraptured Tokumaru’s eyes, as they were quite beautiful indeed.

But soon, being the kind of person he was, Tokumaru snapped out of his little trance and, with somewhat of a nervous effort, knocked on the door.

“Come in!” Yelled a voice from inside the room that the door guarded. The mercenary twisted the doorknob carefully, and walked in to find Aurora on sitting on the floor, scrolls of many designs sprawled around her.

The room in which he was now in was god-like, and it even made his own room look like a hobo’s cardboard box. Red-oak hardwood glazed the floors, reflecting a beautiful shine of light that came from the dying embers of a stone fireplace that seemed to have been lit quite some time ago. Small, yet valuable objects sat upon the fireplace’s top, and were so strange, Tokumaru couldn’t bare to look at them, as his mind already hurt from thinking about the Dome at such an intense pace. The walls were a bluish-gray stone, similar to those outside the room. There were two plushy chairs facing the fireplace, and they seemed unused; it was as if Aurora had never sat in one for more than a minute. There was a kitchen to his right, and if he looked carefully, he could see the faint outline of a bedroom door past that.

Aurora stood up, looking at Tokumaru kindly as he stared in awe at her room. "Well, don't just stand there, come in, I've been expecting you. I was about to get myself another cup of tea, would you like some?"

Instantly, Tokumaru snapped back to reality. “Um… Sure.” He removed his sandals right inside the door, and carefully walked into the room. Before he sat down, he noticed that the scrolls that were all over the room’s floor were of a very illegible language, and the mercenary, even in his intelligence, couldn’t decipher a thing. “What were you reading?” He asked curiously.

Aurora poured some steaming green tea from a diamond-like pitcher into a similarly diamond-like cup and handed it to Tokumaru. “Here you go.” She said softly, looking down at the misplaced scrolls. “It's an ancient text from my homeworld.” She picked up the scrolls and hastily put them to the side, and they were no longer a distraction. “Please have a seat.” She offered to Tokumaru as she swayed her hair a little bit.

The mercenary did as he was told, and sat down like he would back in his hometown, Nakashimi: On his knees. He took a sip of the hot tea, and a rush of tantalizing heat and sweetness flooded his mouth. “The tea is very good.”

His teacher smiled. “I had a feeling you might appreciate it. Now, down to business. First of all, I'd like to ask you something.”

Tokumaru was puzzled at this inquiry, and asked, “What is it sensei?”

“Tell me about your arm. I know it’s somehow connected to your magical ability, but I’d like to know how.”

The mercenary thought back at that horrid night when he first gained his magical powers, and the Flames of Destruction, his signature move. “Well…” he said nervously. “It happened like this: When I was born, I learned a lot about swords way before my fellow peers. But soon, I foolishly got in over my head. When I was about five, I stumbled upon a swordsmage who used Pyronic-Alchemy to defeat his foes. So, I approached him and asked to see some of his work. The swordsmage quickly obliged, and summoned a ball of flame in his hand. Being young and naïve, I was dazzled, and I stupidly flung my sword around in the excitement. In this happiness, I accidentally cut off the mage's arm, sending the ball of fire into a "rage" of sorts. The ball was flung at me, and it enveloped my arm, burning away at the skin with a pain I will never forget.

“I cried in pain as it bit through my muscle, and eventually only left bone! But luckily, the mage had died of bloodloss quickly, and fell over, releasing his soul unto the heavens. His magic stayed on the earth, and floated in front of me. Realizing that I was in pain, it wrapped himself around my bone and formed new, scarred flesh. I found that my arm would forever be in pain, but it gained magical qualities, allowing me to use most magic in general, especially pyro tactics. This also led to the development of my strongest attack, The Angelus Estuans Dragonis, or Angelic Burning Dragon.”

His teacher sat, intrigued by this venture that Tokumaru had to endure in his childhood. “Now,” she said, eager to learn more, “may I see the scar that the mage left upon you?” Tokumaru happily obliged and rolled up his kimono sleeve, revealing a flame shaped scar that gave off an awing aura. Aurora sat back and sipped her delicious tea, and didn't make a sound for a few moments.

After awhile of waiting, the summoner spoke. “I called you here to give you your prize for winning the piefight.” Tokumaru beamed in excitement. What could this prize be? Would it make him stronger? Would it take him home? Aurora somehow knew what he was thinking, even though she wasn’t a psychic, but it seemed to be sort of a student-teacher mental bond thing. "Your prize is this: a choice.” She said sternly. “You have two options. First off, I can heal your arm. Unfortunately, this will remove the focus you've been using for your magic. You will have to relearn the magical skills you have mastered, but that shouldn't take an incredibly long time under my tutelage, seeing as we will only be covering magics you already know by heart.”

Tokumaru’s mind raced. “How does that help me?!?” he thought.

“OR,” said Aurora, whom reached into her pocket and pulled out a shining vial containing a liquid of mythic qualities. From the vile flowed a thin goldenrod chain. “you may have this. It is a phoenix tear. It is a powerful healing agent that can cure nearly any ailment, from burns, to poisoning, to cancer, or even some mental instabilities. It can only be used once.”

Tokumaru’s eyes widened as he thought back at all the pain that his arm had caused him. But then again, that phoenix tear could heal anything, even the most deadly of wounds from his mercenarial battles! What was he to do?!?

Aurora took note of this expression. “I wouldn't recommend it to cure your arm, I'm afraid you would lose your magical abilities permanently. Now, those are your choices. The decision is up to you.”

Tokumaru thought long and hard, his brain near the bursting point. “Uh…” he said, very nervously. But then it hit him. He knew what he had to do. It was for the best.

“Aurora,” said Tokumaru straight off. “I want you to heal my arm.”

OOC: There's my choice.

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

"Very well," Aurora answered. She scooted over to Tokumaru, and sat on her knees next to him. "This might very well hurt." She wrapped her hands around the scar and bowed her head, closing her eyes.

The summoner reached out to the aura surrounding the scar. It twisted and constricted around the young mercenary's arm, pulsating with the dead mage's anger and surprise. Tokumaru's own chi barely moved past the restriction. That explains the pain, she thought ironically. She spread her own aura around the scar's, pulling it outward. Then she gave Tokumaru's chi a small boost, actually forcing it to redistibute and channeling it all to move down through his arm. The samurai gasped as his muscles contracted and spasmed, pushing the bulk of his life energy down through the restricting aura of the scar. The scar's aura bulged and strained as it stretched under the pressure.

Aurora gave her chi one final push, and the young warrior screamed in pain, passing out, as the mage's curse, and the scar, burst open, blood spurting out onto the woman and running onto the floor. The teacher laid her student down, now focusing on repairing the damage.

Slowly, she knitted the flesh together again, blue light emanating from her hands. She worked for what seemed hours, sealing the wound, and trying to maintain the tie to the old mage's fire magic now that its emotional framework was gone.

Tokumaru finally woke wincing at a shooting pain in his head.

"Yeah, you'll feel like you have a heck of hangover, but it'll go away in a few hours. You'll have to wait a couple of days before we start your magical training. Your chi will need time to recover and redistribute. It's been a long time since it's been able to flow freely through that arm, and I used a lot of it breaking through the mage's aura."

"You used my OWN chi?" The young man looked down at his arm. The scar was still there, but the flame shaped mark was now a shining silver, like a metallic tatoo, glistening in the firelight.

Aurora yawned deeply. "That's right. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need some sleep sometime this year."

Tokumaru left, flexing his now pain-free appendage, and Aurora went to bed, ignoring the blood stain that was still on the floor, in her exhaustion.

OoC: There you go, dude. You won't be able to use your magic for a while. You'll need some personal and intensive training, not to mention recovery time, before you regain any of your abilities. Now, head to the "Home Room" thread for your next assignment.

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

OOC: Here you are!

Tokumaru lay on his soft, velvety bed and gripped his arm, painful as it was, but stood against it. “How long could this take?” He thought to himself, full of worry. “Without magic, I am merely a swordsman with a keen edged blade.”

The swordsman stood up and walked to the center of the carpeted room, looking around for something of little to no value. After a few seconds of searching, he found a tin can that he had drank the contents of the other night. He stared at the can, and sighed loudly.

The warrior held out his hand and his arm… did nothing. “Flames of… Destruction…………” he said, contemplating that nothing would happen. And nothing did. He looked at the silver scar upon his arm and sighed, for the third time. “All the pain you have caused me… All the hope you brought me… All the troubles you caused me… and all the battles you won me… What did it mean? If it weren’t for the Angelus Estuans Dragonis and Flames of Destruction, I wouldn’t be here right now… But if I have to learn you back, all the pain and suffering will be gone, and I can still use you. But with your elemental attributes gone, I am left with your simple alchemy. But I suppose turning objects into equal but better objects is better than nothing. Whatever… Que sera sera.”

“Um, master Kyô…” said a voice from nowhere.

“Yes, who is it?”

A Domerii made itself visible in the room, its plaid shirt unnaturally not wrinkled in the slightest bit. “You really shouldn’t talk to yourself… It is very strange.”

Tokumaru smiled at the apparition and rolled down the sleeve of his kimono. “Heh, heh. Okay, what can I do for this time, fine sir?”

The Domerii was taken aback at the samurai’s politeness, but he soon recovered from his shock and pulled out another goldenrod envelope. “From Madam Aurora.” Tokumaru took the note from the Domerii’s hand, and it quickly disappearing unto the halls of the Dome.

The samurai broke the message’s seal and unfolded the white rice paper letter. “Meet me in the Fountain Room for your next assignment. -Aurora” Tokumaru sighed for the fourth time that day. “Again with the fountain room, eh? Well… I guess I’ve got nothing better to do. I might even learn some more about my arm and its health.” The warrior placed on his sandals and walked out his large oak door quickly.

* * *

He walked quickly down the halls, not taking as much time to examine the aura’s that spanned across the walls, seeing as he was now used to their glory. “Wonder how long I’ll be here..” He said, seemingly in a cranky fashion.

It took awhile for the samurai to notice that he was walking around in circles, and he, the so-called “Most Cunning Mercenary” forgot that their was only one way to access the fountain room, or least their was only one way in his understanding. “Oh, of course.” He stopped his pacing and breathed deep. “Fountain room.”

At that moment, a large door popped out of the ground. It was a beautiful shade of cerulean, and it was pinpricked with a stunning array of rubies and emeralds. The samurai opened the door formally, and he emerged to find Aurora and his fellow students standing by the fountain, waiting for his arrival.

Chaos stood beside Aurora and Kaid, and a new student stood behind them. “Hello, sensei.” Tokumaru said kindly. Chaos laughed quietly and whispered into Kaid’s ear, “Hewo, senswei!” He mocked. Tokumaru walked over to them and hit Chaos on the shoulder in a friendly way. “Watch out, shape shifter.” the samurai said warningly. “I may have lost my magic, but don’t think I can’t beat you with my Hinotama.”

Aurora rested her back on the fountain and nibbled on a piece of straw. “Now all we have to is wait for Starfire.”

Tokumaru walked over to Lunac and held out his hand. “Konnichiwa !” Welcomed Tokumaru in his native tongue. “What’s your name?”

The wolf-man turned to Tokumaru and smiled at the samurai’s natural kindness, and outstretched his hand. “Lunac.” He said as Tokumaru grabbed his hand with his own and shook it. “Lunac Canis. Nice to meet you!” Tokumaru replied with the same, and they both leaned back on the fountain and began to chat.

OOC: How that’s good enough for you!

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

BiC: At last, the long awaited assignments return!!!!

OOC: Tokumaru looked over towards the other tower deceitfully from the top of his tower, thinking in his mind that cheating might score him a win. Every other player, in the samurai’s eyes, that is, had cheated, and Tokumaru did not take lightly to the phrase “Two wrongs don’t make a right”. Unsheathing the elegant Hinotama, a brilliant flash of plasmic embers was (were? Both of them sounded ok, seeing as how flash geos well with "was" and embers goes well with "were") sent into the wind, matching against the single red satin flag that his team had left, high up on the tower. “Alright then…” he said softly as he raised the blade to his face.

“Sôryûsen Ryû! Activa-”

Instantly, Tokumaru’s voice was cut off, just as the sky above the playing field transcended, revealing an ominous, future-like ceiling. Its designs were all digital, and glassy monitors were laden across its corners, all protruding a light towards a gargantuan black speaker in the center, overlooking the playing field. “What on earth is-” Said Tokumaru, being cut off once more.

The deafening voice of an exasperated Aurora came from the large speaker, causing the samurai to close his hands over his ears in pain. “All students of Aurora are to report to their rooms immediately! This idiocy has gone on long enough. I would like all of you to think over your actions and decide what can be done. I will be in my private quarters, and I expect no disturbances. Be at the breakfast hall tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM.”

With a loud feedback screech, the voice echoed off into the far corners of the Dome, signaling a blunt end to the capture the flag fight. Tokumaru descended the old cobblestone stairs of the tower and walked solemnly towards the exit of the field.

“Come on,” said Chaos angrily as he too walked away from his tower. “Why is that chick cutting the game out like this?” Looking over to Tokumaru, he said, “Hey, Tokumaru, you’re pissed about this too, right?”

Tokumaru gave the warrior a neutral look. “Whether or not we finished wasn’t my concern, Chaos. It was the fact that we all got to see how devious we truly are inside is what got to me. I don’t want to really talk about this. Aurora is right though, we should retire to bed.”

As the samurai exited the field, Chaos stood there, dumbfounded at his peers’ resilience to the situation. “Tch, typical of the samurai. Can’t stand to look angry, even for a second.”

* * *

Tokumaru walked into his room and removed the top of his kimono. The finely made cotton quilts of his bed flopped around as he jumped upon them in anger. “Damn it…” He said, letting the soft silk sheets rub up against his sweaty back, cooling him off slightly. “Had Aurora let the fight go on, I might’ve been able to train my fire magic more. Ugh! Sometimes she just makes me so ma-” For the third time that day, the samurai was cut off, this time by his Sôryûsen Ryû Doppelganger jumping outside of him out of its own will.

The transparent green, winged formation of Tokumaru sat on the old oak dresser that lay beside the bed, and sighed at the look of his creator. “Tokumaru-sama…”

Instantly, the real Tokumaru shot up from the case of sheets in which he resided in disbelief, and a tingle went down his spine. “D-did you just say something?!?”

The Doppelganger shook his head in utter defiance at his creator. “Of course I can talk, Tokumaru! You and that god forsaken sword of yours are always too busy getting blood all over yourselves to even realize it! I even have a name, my lord!”

Tokumaru paused briefly, looking at his doppelganger, flabbergasted. “Uh…” he said quietly, “What is it?”

The winged Tokumaru sat up and unsheathed his sword. “I am the Strong Spirit of the Flame-Samurai, Kigai!” As soon as those words passed the being’s mouth, a hush befell the room. Tokumaru didn’t know what to make of the situation. At first, his day seemed as if it were going to be fine, but now his Doppelganger had popped out of him, and is now spewing out names? The samurai hated being in this position.

“Kigai,” he said softly, “why have you left my body out of your own will? It really doesn’t make much sense for you to do so if we aren’t battling a tough foe.”

Kigai pointed a finger at his creator. “that’s where you’re wrong, Tokumaru. You are fighting a tough foe: Your own mind. It’s obvious. I am your soul, Tokumaru, and I would know more about what you’re thinking than even you yourself would. I know you’re upset about the game, so, why don’t you go talk to Aurora about it?”

Tokumaru lay back on his bed, the bulk of his shiny black hair being scrunched up by the golden-edged pillows. “I suppose I could do that,” he said reluctantly, “but she did say ‘No disturbances’. And besides, I don’t even know where her private quarters are.”

Kigai stood up and walked towards Tokumaru, shaking his head in ridicule all along the way. “Ask a Domerii, Tokumaru-sama. They know this place better than anyone.” And with that, the Doppelganger, Kigai, disappeared unto Tokumaru’s subconscious.

The samurai stood up, and walked across the red hardwood oak, putting on his kimono top as he walked towards the large maple door. With a turn of the knob, he walked outside once more, engulfing himself in the enchanted halls of the Dome. The cosmic ceiling still remained, protruding its ever-illusive aura across the entire hallway. Cupping his hands around his mouth, Tokumaru called out, “I request a Domerii!”

Within seconds of his query, a mysterious Domerii, one of the many loyal servants to the Dome, popped up right out of the ground, holding his arm taught at his lower torso. He looked more like a waiter at a five-star restaurant than a trekker of the Dome’s hallways. “What is it that you request, master Kyô?” The Domerii said in his unique, sleek voice.

“Could you lead me to Ms. Aurora’s private quarters, please?” Tokumaru said politely, bowing in respect as the Domerii turned to the longer side of the hallway.

“It would be my pleasure. Follow me, if you will.”

The Domerii walked in a predictable pattern down the Dome’s intricately designed hallways, his glassy-bottomed shoes click-clacking against the marble tiles that were laden across the floor throughout most of the complex. Tokumaru sighed as he looked at the walls of the Dome’s hallways. He was so far from home, and by now, Naoru could’ve destroyed the land. Another possibility was that Hanshin might’ve destroyed Naoru and taken over the land himself. But yet, what scared the samurai the most was, was his son alright? Taking the life of a mercenary was a dark and relentless choice to make, and it left Alex, Tokumaru’s son, with scars he shan’t soon forget. Especially if Tokumaru got greedy, in which he would take jobs as not a mercenary, but he would be paid an overly-large amount to become a hitokiri, or manslayer. (OOC: Hitokiri IS NOT copyright Nobuhiro Watsuki, thank you very much. So I did NOT copy this from Rurouni Kenshin!!!)

In his wild thoughts, Tokumaru lost track of time, and before he knew it, the Domerii had led him straight in front of Aurora’s private quarters. “Master Tokumaru,” said the Domerii once more in his sleek voice, “we have arrived.” And then, just as quickly as he came, the Domerii disappeared unto the Dome, off to help another student like Tokumaru, who had become lost in the infinite corridors of the complex.

The door to Aurora’s private quarters nearly doubled the size of Tokumaru’s door, and was made of the finest yew. Intricate patterns were carved into it, and Tokumaru felt as if he was transported to another world each time he looked at a different carving. “Alright.” He said nervously, “Here goes nothing…” With a great sigh, the samurai knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

With a large heave, the Samurai pushed opened the great yew door, and his jaw dropped. Aurora’s private room was a sight to be seen. A goldenrod rug lay across the floor, and had many scrolls lain across it. The windows where draped with gold satin, and the chairs were of the finest build. The fireplace upon the eastern wall had its hearth ablaze with a spectacle of flames. Upon the fireplace was gold China, and Tokumaru could clearly see, from the western wall, the bedroom had a bed made of pure white, and the sheets upon it were made of milky blue silk. The room was so amazing, and Tokumaru’s eyes couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“Tokumaru?” Said a voice from the bedroom.

“Um…” Said Tokumaru in complete and utter amazement. “I-I’m in the main room.”

With that, Tokumaru’s teacher, Aurora the Ominae, stepped out of her bedroom. “Humph.” She said distastefully. “Didn’t I tell you that I wanted no interruptions? Please leave.” As his teacher walked back towards her bedroom, Tokumaru outstretched a hand and placed it on her shoulder.

“No, Aurora, please.” He said quietly. “There is something that has been bothering me. I really must ask you about it.”

The Ominae sat down on her chair, and summoned a glass of wine from the Dome’s magical abilities, and sipped it slowly. “Fine then,“ she said meanly, “what might I be able to do for my cheating student?”

Ignoring the blunt quote by his sensei, Tokumaru rolled up his sleeve, revealing his scar. “Aurora,” he said with a sigh, “I am glad that you healed my arm. Yet, I do have my doubts. I fear… I fear that I may never be able use my magic again, despite what you said. I mean, the Flames of Destruction is what defines me as the Fire Samurai, and my Estuans Angelus Dragonis has saved me many, many times. I don’t want to rush the process, in fear that it will corrupt my magic with mess-ups, but I do want to know if I can even learn one measly fire spell ever again. And this time, Aurora-dono, I would appreciate proof.”

Aurora sighed. “I’d rather not,” she said , causing a look of discouragement to befall her pupil, “but I’ll prove to you that the magic is within your grasp. Unsheathe the Hinotama.”

Tokumaru stood up taught, and unsheathed his mighty sword. “I assume,” said his teacher, “that you miss the Cyclone of Flames that once surrounded the sword?” Tokumaru nodded wholeheartedly. “Alright then,” continued Aurora. Place your hand a bit above where the hilt meets the blade, and concentrate your energy to the sword.”

Tokumaru did so, and placed his hand above the Hinotama’s red blade. In an instant, embers spattered everywhere, all coming from Tokumaru’s hand. “Yes!” He said excitedly. “The blade has made a reaction! I must be able to use magic after all!”

Aurora smiled, and patted her student on the arm. "Tokumaru," she said, "you will always be able to use fire magic. So long as that scar remains upon you, the spirit of the Hinotama will remain as well." The Ominae stood up and brushed herself off as Tokumaru did the same, pulling the sleeve of his kimono back down.

"Now," said Aurora hurriedly, "I have other matters to attend to -- private matters. I must ask that you return to your room."

Tokumaru nodded solemly, and walked out of the grand room, shutting the large yew doors behind him with a grin from ear to ear.

OOC: Finally, im finished!!!! Whoopy doo doo doo!

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

If you'll remember, Tokumaru HAS been in Aurora's quarters before. It's in the first post of this thread! I'd appreciate if you didn't describe the room in two completely different fashions. I told you to create a NEW room, not revamp an old one.

Besides, all the gold and so forth is way too upscale for Aurora's taste. She far prefers simple comfort over luxury.

One other minor note, she doesn't drink, so she wouldn't have summoned a glass of wine. I know you had no way of knowing that, but just log it away for future reference.

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

Um... I thought I had been in her reg-reg quarters, not her private ones. That was where I put the enphasis. bhecause you said it was a completely different room, I 'd assume that she was in her PRIVATE quarters wher no one would ever bother her. Had it been her regular quarters, I would've referenced the previous post to make my descriptions accurate, so please give me the benefit (sp?) of the doubt. And as for the gold and such, its the same as the wine: I had no Idea. Once again, the benefit of the doubt would be greatly appriceiated. <-- sp?

Re: (R-San) Tokumaru's Training Thread

Each resident of the Dome has one room that is catered specifically to their needs. That is their quarters. Aurora didn't have to go there to be alone. She could have just as easily been training, meditating, or any number of other relaxing activities in another room she'd found to her liking. I expected everyone to think outside the box for this one.

I apologize, I suppose it was my bad for not making myself clear enough. This always happens. Maybe I need to review my communication skills...
