Enemies of Humankind (Quark)

I need carnage.

So thought Kreed as creeped through yet another empty city. The past few he had been in had been deserted also, something, or someone, had been taking his job. Someone had been killing the humans before he got there.

Lately Kreed had realized that killing wasn't just his form of revenge on humanity, it was also what kept him sane, or at least, sane for him. Without humans to kill, he wasted ammo on walls, fruit, anything he could shoot at.

Suddenly the Goblin Man heard a crash from a jewelry store on his left. A thief, thought Kreed. And another murderer... He shot the store's window and stepped through into the ransacked jewelry store.

After stalking through the empty halls for a few minutes, the murderous Kreed found a staircase and began to climb. He reached the top and found, on a dead end of the hallway in which Kreed was now, a rather fat and ugly man browsing through a sack of his stolen treasures.

"Die slowly," Kreed growled. The man looked up to see the hideous thing in front of him and screamed in terror. Kreed shot his right arm.

"You filthy," Kreed shot his right upper arm, "disgusting," Kreed shattered the man's kneecap with a well placed bullet, "hideous," now he walked quickly up to the man, dropped his gun, and picked the human up by his throat, "human!" The Goblin man dropped his gun, took out his pocketknife, and stabbed the man in his right temple.

Kreed felt good now. There was fresh blood on his clothes, and another one responsible for his mother's death was dead.

"Damn," cursed the Goblin Man, kicking the bloody corpse in front of him. He retrieved his gun and left the jewelry store.

Down in Hell, the thief basked in the endless pain that was Satan. He had escaped his Earthly Tormentor, and would never sleep to have nightmares of his last sight again.

Compared to Kreed, Hell was Heaven.

Ooc: What's the time period/technology level of the city in this battle? I'll keep it vague for now.

Bic:

A monochrome figure sauntered casually down the city street. Many stopped to take a gander at his strange form, yet no one was alarmed. Although he looked to be a frightening individual, most of the human beings had weak minds susceptible to his good influence. It was a curse, though sometimes it had its advantages. He nodded and waved to a few civilians, not reading any particularly kind surface thoughts. That was a very good thing... or rather bad thing, which is why he liked it so much.

In the man's right hand was a green apple freshly snatched from a nearby vendor. He had just eaten a rather large meal and couldn't possibly eat another bite, but he did anyway. Such was the nature of gluttony. He took a large bite of the apple, his teeth cutting it straight to the core. He tossed the spent fruit to the ground, a satisfied grin filling his face.

A rather clumsy crash caught his attention from one of the buildings off to his side. Ordinarily a crash meant something was being broken. Deviating from his current path, the stranger took a meaningful stride off toward the closed jewelry store, interest filling his dark eyes.

A burglar? How mundane. Still, it was the most interesting thing that had happened today. He might as well check it out.

Not slowing his pace, he drove his course right through the open door. He followed the noises, leading to a staircase. There, at the end of the hall, stood the greedy little booger. A rather fat fellow, but still a human who knew what it meant to be alive. A crash sounded from below, down on the ground floor. Alien slid into a side room and closed the door, leaving a small crack so he could see out clearly.

Another intruder? This one looked rather out-of-place, almost as much as he was. He obviously didn't look human, at least completely anyway. But what was more interesting was the evil glare in his eye, and the magnum clutched in his hand.

"Die slowly."

Alien watched in partial awe as the humanoid took killing to the next level, doing something that he himself frequently had to do before putting his foe to death. He let the man suffer. It was brilliant.

"Damn," cursed the Goblin Man, kicking the bloody corpse in front of him. He retrieved his gun and walked down the stairs. Alien emerged from his hiding place, quietly following. The moment the killer took his first step out the door, he made his presence known.

"Damn indeed." Alien announced. The criminal spun full circle, now facing him from outside. Although it was dark in the jewelry store, Alien's bright white form could be seen clearly. "I came into this store looking for a thief and Hell's blessed me with a murderer." He smirked, fiddling with the Roman Scissor in his left hand. "It's like Christmas." His eyes lit up at the word.

Ooc: Modern time.

Reflexively, Kreed loosed a bullet at the new enemy's stomach, who grinned as the bullet was deflected off an invisible force field and shot into the ground.

Kreed took a step back, dumbfounded that the... thing in front of him hadn't even been wounded. Not a scratch.

In this small moment the Goblin Man took in his opponent's appearance; the ghost-white skin, the metal thing in place of his hand, and the stitches across his face.

"You're not human," Kreed said.

"You're very observant," said the man in front of him, apparently on the verge of laughter.

"Then you aren't a target," Kreed began to walk towards the man, in the pretense of attacking. But instead of striking, he pushed past him. "Move. Humanity must pay, and you aren't getting in the way."

I'm going to kill them all. I don't care what he is.

The Roman Scissor caught Kreed's shoulder and gently tugged him backward, preventing him from leaving. “Ho ho ho, hold on there partner.” Gently nudging with the weapon, he suggested the goblin to turn around. Kreed glanced over his shoulder at the stranger, eyebrow raised. “You hold some sort of vendetta against the human folk?”

“Hate the beasts.” Kreed replied coldly.

Alien gave the goblin's arm back to him. “Oh splendid!” He stroked his chin, thinking for a moment. “Uh, I may have a proposition for you.”

“Not interested.” Kreed growled, beginning to get impatient with this stranger. He began to walk away again, but the hooked blade of the Roman Scissor caught his shoulder again, this time just barely puncturing his skin.

“Tsk tsk tsk, Kreed, this isn't something you can blow off so easily.”

The idea that he'd used his name, despite him never telling him what it was, caught his attention only for a few moments. Deciding it wasn't worth it, he moved on. “Watch me.” He grunted. He began to walk off once again, but the Roman Scissor clamped down hard this time, drawing blood. Kreed ducked low to escape the claw and popped back up, gun pointed toward the strange, ghostly figure. “Who the f*** are you and what do you want with me?” He hissed, maintaining his cool.

“I just want to test you, Kreed.” He chuckled. “Now let's pretend that I'm a human. Try to kill me.”

Ooc: Sorry for the delay. Let me know if I used your character incorrectly. xP

Ooc: What delay? I'm the one delaying... Craaaaap I've gotten slow... I went paintballing with my team today! Speedball MVP right here!!!

Bic: Now Kreed was pissed.

"You want me to kill you? Fine," said Kreed, slowly turning towards the creature behind him. He was already thinking about how he could "accidentally" kill some humans who got "caught" in the crossfire.

"Good, good, Kreed," grinned the man, a mad glint in his eye. The Goblin Man suddenly realized he had never told the strange man his name.

"What are you?" exclaimed Kreed.

"Good question, but you can call me Alien." With that, Alien pulled back the Roman Scissor and brought back forward with such force that it sent Kreed flying back, taking out the wall behind him.

"Now I'm mad," muttered Kreed. he let loose three bullets in quick succesion, distracting his foe long enough for him to get to his feet and take his staff out, gripping the wooden weapon with his left hand, pistol in his right.
