"I guess you can come after me... if you can keep up!" Zebshar exclaimed, propelling off of the tree he had settled into. He quickly threw four ice shards at her, using the water around him to affect where they went. He then pulled out his dagger, and threw it at her, dropping a sphere of darkness over two of his ice shrds, and then a third over his dagger. He hoped he had aimed this right. He threw/shot the dagger out of his hands, just ffast enough so that the dark spheres were aligned. then he immediatley began shuffeling them around, Throwing two darkness globes into the line, neither having anything in them, at her.

"Choose wisely... else you could be dead. Zebshar said, holding something behind his back.

He then turned his attention to the mechanical man.

"Freeze!" He comanded, the water around the man, Hayao as he called himself, immediatley froze, Now...

Always so entertaining when death stares them down, Hayao had to admit it was a hinderance but not a fatal one.

The ice made have immobilized the flesh but the machinery was not completly lost. The Blast Shell upon his back, always hot with steam stored to propel the weapon, had already begun to wear down the ice and now was growing hotter and hotter.

Certainly a minor hinderance.

The ice was weakened and with even a slight room to move Hayao begun to free himself. The chains shot off, shattering his icy tomb and bit against the frozen mass. Chunks floated away and already Hayao found mobility returning.

As the ice feel away from his mask, Hayao laughed eeriely. The entertainment was good but still not up to his standards.

Cole picked up the ice with her staff and threw it at Zeb, he quickly jumped out of the way but she kept them coming, until one finally knocked him out of the tree.

"Hit you," she said excitedly, "want another," she asked as she tossed another block of ice at him.

she turned around and saw the other man begin to move, "you want ice to your head," she asked, "attack him now or you will get it," she said angrily.

Zebshar shook off the minor ice shots that had been shot his way.

"The question still remains... which one holds the dagger?" he replied grinning, still holding something behind his back. Zebshar's Ice prison had done it's job. It had found the cracks in the mechanical mans armor, filling them with ice.

"Ice. Melt." Zeb commanded, the ice the mans suit immediately melted.
"Water, freeze around me!" And it immediately did so, Zebshar Launched his dagger at the man, scoring a small nick on the arm. He immediately dropped the darkness globes, and sent the ice shards at the man too, scoring more, smaller nicks.

Zebshar, your time in our realm is up, continue fighting in your realm!

Zebshar found himself back in his forest, the smoke from the fire that had bee recently burned had long since gone away. "I hope that hurt. Zeb said, grabbing his dagger.

blood streamed from Hayao's many wounds. Small nicks, not far penetrating but still finding their mark and cutting into the flesh.

Hayao was growing increasingly agitated, though at this point he noted a change once more in the enviroment, as though it had returned once more to its previous state. Just a forest, no more water.

No wide sea to manuever through, once more this battle was caught in the tangles of a forest, and should Hayao get his way it would end here.

Lets see that nit spark a fire once more, heh heh.

But it remain good and well that he remain cautious, but perhaps the time had come to switch to the offensive!

"Hey," Cole said angrily, "get over there and attack that ****er!"

Him ignoring Cole was pissing her off, "thats it," she said angrily, she attacked him with her sword, "you don't ****ing ignore Colecartha," she said as she brought blow after blow on him, "now," she said sternly, "are you going to attack him or not?"

Zebshar turned his attention to Cole, who was attacking Hayao. Spying an easy target, He brought out his dagger, and cut deeply into her exposed flesh. The poison began imediatley, freezing her mid strike. Zebshar then turned to Hayao.

"Why have you come to my domain?"

"Expansion of course," Hayao mocked, "always looking for resources and new land to boost the economy of my homeland!"

"This are may make a nice settlement for my people," Hayao continued, "tear down the forest and large swathes of forest, build a road and homes and led the seeds of industry be nutured in the soil where the trees once stood!"

All the while, without the enemy noticing Hayao's chains slithered through the grass, over fallen trees and uprooted bushes looking to ambush either of his opponents.

"Some of my fellow Deities may not agree," Hayao scoffed, "especially that natural floratiean, to think the Writer paired me with her! Bah!"

"I look to the future of my people, somewhere far from the jaws of ghouls and chaos!!! Deny me this and I shall strike with all my fury!"

Cole's attention was on her wound, see looked at it and took out her Karder's Aura and healed herself quickly then look back at Hayao.

"You are an *******," Cole yelled at Hayao, "you, guy you want to kill this ****er with me?"

Cole once again, with her staff, picked up ice and smashed it down on Hayao's head, hard.

Zebshar knifed at the woman one more time, setting up a thirty second break.
"Be quiet for a few seconds, okay?"


"Now...Expansion... for your homeland?" Zebshar asked Hayao. "The only reason I am out here by myself is because others have shunned me, not allowed me into their cities, or their towns, or even where ever they hunt! notice that there is no wild life near us, just because of my race. Cursed thing." Zebshar said, eyeing the man carefully.

"If you would allow me to live amongst you, and your people, then I would gladly give up my small spot of land."

Hayao sneered, "people like you are of the most dangerous sort."

"You're isolation, shunned by others I care little for that," Hayao ranted, "I would not reject you for what you are that would be barbaric!"

Hayao strided forward, his stature baring itself ever more intimidating.

"What makes you dangerous is that you have no loyalty beyond yourself and what you have!" Hayao scoffed, "this forest so dear, that as the fire turned the leaves to black you fought with such feroucity! Now you will give it all up, and let the world around be putrid with smoke and industry."

"You are loyal only unto yourself, you claim to seek a home yet when the one that has sheltered your existance is at risk you shall see it brougght down for your own welfare! I would spit if I could!"

"I am not one to argue chivalry or honor, but those who herald nothing in life are the greatest of threats as they dig for gold and prosper only for themselves!"

Cole began to come out of it, "why.... the.... **** DID YOU DO THAT?"

Cole stumbled to her feet, and grabbed her sword, "you die now ****er."

Still stumbling, she swiped at Zeb, it missed, "stand still damnit," she swiped him again, "I SAID STAY STILL ****ER!"

she fell down to her butt, "I don't feel good," she took out her Karder's Aura to let it recharge, "LEAVE ME THE **** ALONE ****ERS."

Zebshar seemedto shrink in size of the man, letting his eyes slip into the infrared spectrum, and switched his knife to his left hand as he feined cowardice. His ears were working in over drive now , listening to the clicks and whirs of Hayao, and eyeing those points with the most interest Zebshar noticed that he had nothing obvious over here his heart should be, so...

Zebshar plunged his knife deep into Hayao's chest, straight into the heart.

"Good answer. I would never give up on my home that easily, especially to someone as cruel as you!" The drow said, twisting the blade this way and that, cutting the heart to shreds. "Do you truley believe that I would offer up the one thing good in my life, for some one who walks among the land of humans?! And then you expect me to give it to you? You sir are truly more foolish than I expected. And on some points you are right, I would willingly give you a small portion of what I have, if you in turn would share with me! Almost all of my Life, I have lived in these forests. Alone! Learning the ways of it. Today, I was off to venture into a part of the woods that may have had some humane type of life in it, in hopes that I could communicate with them. It looks like I've found it between A psychotic *****, and some half human mechanical thing!"

Zebshar Jumped Back, eyeing the bloody pulp he had left the mans heart. It was blue. the dull blue of death.

"Heh heh heh," Hayao chuckled, "did you expect we to cry out in pain?"

Hayao picked at the wound, pulling from his flesh a peice of his heart left over from the slaughter.

"The flesh is weak you know, amazing yes in its complexity but frail and pink after all is said and done..."

"So the same should apply to you my dear jester, dancing across the battlefield playing your games of deciet, lets bring you into combat!"

The trap was released, Hayao's chains whipped forward, lashing out catching his enemy off guard, barbs and hooks tearing at flesh and their steel grip constricting...

"Perhaps I should offer you a truce, on my terms of cource!" Hayao chuckled, "lets set a fire shall we? Ease up the constructive time... after all you seemed quite content in setting the spark initally!"

"I may have toppled a tree but you've charred the earth to stand upon so you may achieve your ambitions!"

the Aura recharged, and she healed herself, "ok," she jumped up, "I'm ready to **** you up now."

she looked around at the two, "so, which of you should I kill?"

"You fool!" Zebshar grunted through the pain of the chains, wrapped so tightly around him. They tore at the armor, bit through, and pierced his flesh. Zebshar knew that If he didn't submit to Hayao soon, he would bleed out later rather than sooner. "What do you mean that I set the spark initially. The only thing I did was set the dead trees and bushes on fire, just look around..."

" Oh no! What ave I done?!?" Zebshar quickly began to panic, the Fire he had thought had only burned the dead trees to make the ground more fertile, had indeedcharred most of the acre they now stood in.

"I am not fit to live here, where I cause more harm than good, "Zebshar said, trying to hold back the tears that he knew inevitably would come weather it be from the pain, or the realization that he had harmed his once beautifle home, he could not, would not know. "I shall not help you destroy the forest that way, nor any other way of your choice! I shall indeed burn it, but only for as little as you may need. And then I will serve in your army, as one of the more dangerous of them, but please, I beg of you! Do not make me burn down the entire woods? not when they have been so kind to me! Sheltering me for years, providing for me, and giving me peace of mind?! Please good sir, take only what you need, no more! Please!"

"Tis' the glory of vassalage!" Hayaoi laughed manically, "I shall spare you for now, this spot show make a grand location for my dear colonists!"

"Should you prove valuable, I shall rethink feeding you to the ghouls!"

The chains loosened and the hooks came loose from the enemies/allies flesh... though he let go, he remained weary of his ambitions for he has no doubt when he claimed people like him were of the worst variety.

"Prove your loyalty my minion!" Hayao roared, "expell that intruder from my territory, it is up to you if she shall live or die!"

"Me," Cole started, "intruding?!?"

Cole walked calmly to Hayao, "hello sir, I would just like to ask one thing," she stated calmly, "WERE YOU ****ING TALKING ABOUT ME BEING THE INTRUDER?"

She ran to Zeb before Hayao could answer, she drew her sword, and began to slash his at his face and limbs, "I'M NOT A ****ING INTRUDER," she yelled, "DON'T ****ING LABEL ME **** THAT I'M NOT MOTHER ****ER!"

She stood back and looked around at the clearing, the ground damp and the logs chard, and she got angrier, an eagle flew over head, moving toward the lake, Cole was once again on the defensive.

"Yes Milord, I shall do as you say, how would you like of her disposed? I notice that she seems to have a irational fear of fire, almost to the point of paralysis." Zebshar replied to his new found king.

"And I do have a demon in mind that could send her ino a frenzy, although he could do so much more if he was at full power. I also have a demon to put her to sleep if you do not wish her harmed."

"Use her natural fear of fire! Let her own weakness be her downfall!" Hayao told Zebshar.

"As you wish, mi'lord"

"ixion! Come unto me! I summon you to the realm of humans! "Ixion! Bar! ixum! Iblith!" (translated Ixion, Spawn, Demon, Iblith.)
All of a sudden, a demon appeared in a puff of smoke, resembling a fire golem.
What is it you desire of me, Zebshar?

"I wish for you to send her into the fiery torments of a non burning fire. Let her own fear be what ends her life!!" Zebshar said, his voice taking on a cruel, maliscous tone.

As you wish, Barixum.

With out any further questions, The demon conjured up a ball of fire, and hurled it right at the girl, encasing it over her body.

As you have wished, so is it done. the demon said.

"Thank you, my demon. Now... BEGONE!"

"As you have wished, so it has been done, Mi'lord."

"Now... I must get her out of this forest. Before we begin work."

Zebshar grabbed the woman by her hair, and began draging her out of the forest. Much to zebshars surprise, That was only about fifteen minutes away, While pulling the girl. That ment that His lord intended on getting rid of the vilages with the humans that had shunned him. Zebshar could see that his new lords leader ship would be very hospitable indeed.

Cole, was paralyzed with fear, the flames surrounded her, the call of the eagle was heard over head.

"Eagle," Cole yelled with fear, "save me, PLEASE!"

"As you wish," the eagle called out in it's native tongue, it swooped down, picking up the light weight girl with ease, it carried her to the north, toward the mountains. With that Cole was away from danger, and out of the battle
