Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
**Here's my chance to tryout my second character Alexi. Her bio is in my sig. And this battle is open to anyone. You can either help me or fight me, it's explained in the intro. Here's my intro. I would like to fight someone that will carry on with the fight, and post relatively often. Thanks.**
She didn't ask for much, least of all...death and destruction in her wake. Being hunted, she had traveled across the land, searching for a sign of her people. An inkling of her family and tribe. To her her family was her life, the tribe was her obligation; to stand and fight for them, to own the troubles, and earn the honor. Having sensed some kind mundane spirit, Alexi had been led to a city. As she entered the main delta of trafficking merchants and citizens, she looked around. Everywhere there was the jovial sounds of laughter and merryment, and an overall feeling of satisfaction spread throughout the establishment; the city was alive for the day. Alexi stalked the streets, her ragged cloak hiding her body and all else, especially her eyes. If anything would give her away it would be her eyes. They glew pale orange and any person would know what she was, what she could do. Long since had they been tortured and lynched that her people had diminished almost all contact with society, choosing to live within their own ways and customs. And to give away her identity would produce unknown results. The effects of her continuous trek had left her famished and full of thirst. She had nearly given up on food and water, only finding her people mattered to her. She looked around, the streets were receding in and out with a tide of customers and merchants. She noticed a small establishment, a small, stone pub-like place. She moved towards it, weaving through the crowds. As she neared the doorway, she looked back to a loud commotion near behind her. A tall, proud man approached her through a enlarging gap in the traffic. Three others stalked behind him. They each were dressed in a red stained leather uniform, shiny armor decorating their shoulders and head. They all had swords sheathed to their sides, the soldiers gripped their's. The leading man approched, his auburn red hair curled around his ears. He spoke in an arrogant tone, "Traveler, in this fair city, we have certain laws to keep riff-raff and the like at bay. Anyway, the point is that we want to know who you are and your purpose here if we allow you to travel through here. " "I just want to rest a little. I have money enough. I just want to rest a little. " "That is fine and well. Just remove your cloak, and we'll be on our way." "I just want to rest. I'll leave tonight, please let me be. " The man lunged at Alexi, toppling over her, and landing on top of her on the doorsteps of the pub. He stood up and ripped off her ratty cloth, exposing her and her newly fashioned clothes. She backed away crawling, and finally stood up, her back to the door of the pub. The man examined her, top to bottom, and let a wide smirk across his mouth, "I knew it, she's one of them. An abomination of mankind. And you know what the law is. Fetch the traveling warrior in the inn, he'll help us capture her. " The man held out his sword, and the guards behind him followed suit, brandishing their newly garrisoned blades. They approached Alexi, the man ever still grinning. Alexi backed into the door, giving her a scare with the jolt. She tore at the door handle, but it wouldn't budge. She looked at the encroaching enemies. That small part of her that she still had of her humanity slipped away, and she plunged into the deep ocean of nothing. Her mind went blank, and she slipped away far into the gray. Pulsing brighter by the second, her eyes were ablaze with a burning light. The chains around her arms glistened and they shot from her wrists, the wretched blades flying out and sliding into the guards. The red haired man gasped as he dodged a flying slicer and swung around. He was caught in the movement of another chain, and fell over, his waist hanging on a swinging line. Alexi screamed and another blade burst into the man's back and out of his chest. Blood exploded into the street and the gathering crowd was overrun by incoming guards. A central opening gathered in the throng of soldiers. Alexi subsided and she gained consciousness. She slid out of the "gray area", but it still loomed across her mind. Power pulsed through her body. The killing had excited her, this horrified her more than the killing. She looked at the blood on her flowing skirt and at the still gathering chains, they all came back to their places, wrapping perfectly around her arms, and locking into place. They reeked with blood and the smell. A smell of death and bodily fluids. She puked to her side, and looked back up still focused on the soldiers moving in. She stabled herself, leaning on her arms. The feeling rose again, just below the surface. All she could do was focus on not releasing it, to not murder the crowd. The force gathered and loomed in. A large man looked back into the throng of men, "Warrior, we require your assistance at capturing this woman. She has killed four of our men, murdered them. Will you help us? A movement inside the crowd erupted, and a lone figure came to the surface of the movement. **Whew, well, let's see how this turns out** |

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
Hmm... this sounds very interesting indeed. Very well, I will fight you if you do not mind. I will use my character, Sho. Posting often won't be a problem, I'm on here almost every day.
The crowd parted as Sho made his way to the source of the commotion. The noise was almost deafening, people shouting curses and evil oaths, babes crying, children screaming. This was the part about normal humans that he hated, their tendency to hysteria when calmness was required. He shook his head slowly and quickened his pace. He followed the two armed men as they had requested. They had offered him a reward to kill a monster, of course, he gladly accepted. He finally made his way to the front of the mass and heard a strong voice call out, "Warrior, we require your assistance at capturing this woman. She has killed four of our men, murdered them. Will you help us?" Sho came upon the scene, four men, brutally killed, obviously the work of a demon. Blood flowed over the pavement, through the cracks, finally making its way to Sho's feet. He wrinkled his nose in disgust. Definatley the work of a demon. he thought. Yet, strangely, he felt no demonic presence. He felt the people, the guards, their leader, but no demon. He looked farther ahead and to his surprise, he saw a woman. She was beautiful in his eyes. Her short, black hair shone in the sun. Her skin was pale as the moon, and fair as well. Yet, her eyes disturbed him, not in their appearance for they glowed a soft orange, warm and gentle. But they were wide with fear. She looked at him as though he were a monster bent on her destruction. Her figure was as a child, cowering in fear of a wild animal. He frowned in confusion; he looked down to her arms and there it was, the proof that she had indeed murdered those men. Around her arms were chains covered in blood, the blood of the men who were now sprawled on the ground in the cold embrace of death. Sho furrowed his brow, he could not see how one so obviously innocent could have slaughtered these men so horribly. He quickly became lost in his thoughts, but the voice of the guard snapped him back to reality just as quickly. "Will you help us, Warrior?" Sho looked to him, then to the girl, then to the men laying on the pavement. He had to think quickly, he did not want whatever had happened to these men to happen again. He knew that something was wrong with this woman, and he had to find out what it was before there was a massacre. "I will, give me the money." He said to the guard. The guard looked confused. "You must kill the monster first." Sho glared at him. "I prefer to be paid beforehand, for I have learned all too well that people become stingy after they are out of trouble." The guard growled angrily. "Very well," he tossed Sho a bag of coins, "now kill the demon." Sho frowned at the man, he did not like it when people called those demons, who were not. He turned to the girl, her expression more laden with fright. He walked slowly towards her, unsure of what she might do. He came within a few yards of her, his hands widespread in an attempt to show that he meant her no harm. He could hear the crowd becoming restless again, for he was not acting as they had expected him to. He whispered to her, "I won't hurt you. Let me help you." The girl's eyes widened even further in surprise.... |

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
**Cool**
"I won't hurt you. Let me help you." The warrior offered out his hands, a surprising gesture of kindness. But Alexi had seen the exchange of money, and heard the deal. She probed the man's mind, but something slid under the surface, preventing her from furthering her clairvoyance. She wiped her mouth again and could still smell the nostalgia. Bracing herself, she stood upwards, blood still ripe in the air. A group of men appeared and took their leave, carrying the bodies from the scene. Alexi looked at the outstretched man, glancing over his eyes and features. His face shown with a battle warn glance, and his eyes gave away something more. Alexi took his hand and instantly her mind flashed upon something long ago. Images of death and blood, screams and fighting. Violence filled her head, and she fixed her returning gaze upon the man's eyes. They burned red. Her mind, still buzzing with the images, sliding her away. Alexi snatched her hand away, staggering back into the door. The connection was broken, but the images didn't fade. They coursed through her head and her world convulsed. A ripple of energy pulsed from Alexi. Unconsciously she stood, her eyes brightly lit with a white light. Losing control had never been easy, not today anyway. Alexi couldn't control her body, she could only watch as her body moved and the battle began. The bloodied chains began swiriling from her wrists. Sho jumped away, narrowly missing an incoming blow. Another swooped around and caught him on neck. He fell and caught himself, pushing his body back into the crowd. The chains swirled higher and longer lashing out at the crowd. Soldiers had encompassed the people, and now they ran, dodging the blades and fatal blows. Alexi came to the surface, using all her will to talk. "Run. Everyone run." Alexi thrust herself into Sho's mind, barely enough to send him a message, "Sho, me touching you unleashed this dormant 'other'. It has only came out once and I don't know how to stop it. But I know that it will kill you. I've seen its thoughts. It wants to eat you, and play with your body before you die. Please run. Alexi was thrust back into the void, and her body moved. Suddenly the chains wipped out and became still, forming long stranded lines. The light that encompassed her eyes formed around her body and black ripples appeared around the chains. Several strands became engulfed in a black shadow. Creatures formed around the chains, wrapping and snapping into place the fibers of the matter. Blood flowed from Alexi's wrists and down the chains; the blood flowed straight, defying gravity and remaing down the chain. As soon as the crimson life reached the shadows, they sprung to life, materializing into huge, black cat-like creatures. Seven huge monsters snapped and snarled at Sho. They flashed their teeth and wipped their tales. Large spikes grew from their backs, and a large flame lit from their tales. The chains formed large spike collars, keeping the beasts at bay. They formated around a single leader, a large version of themselves. Its ears remained longer and more spikes protruded from its back. The large beasts became quiet, waiting for the command of the larger one. It glared at sho and then sent a low growl. The others became at attention and in one large movement, the group was upon Sho, racing for his throat. He moved backwards watching the oncoming death. A single voice echoed in his head "I'm sorry" |

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
The monsters lunged at Sho, claws outstretched and teeth bare. Sho stood in place, glaring at the creatures, waiting to make his move. He raised his blade above his head. The creatures were almost upon him, he channeled energy into his sword and slashed downwards. A wave of energy flew from his blade, colliding with the monsters in mid-air, knocking them from the sky. They crashed into the ground, causing the earth to shake from the impact. They lay in place for a few seconds, but quickly got back up, seemingly more angry and bloodthirsty than before.
"You don't have to do this!" Sho called. The girl seemed unable to hear him. This isn't good. We can't do this in the middle of town. But he didn't know what to do. He had to get the both of them out of there, but how was still a mystery. The black monsters recovered quickly and were soon upon him. One of them caught him with its paw. Sweeping him aside, like a child's toy. He was sent sailing into the wall of a shop, he collided with it with such force that he had to struggle to stay awake, to keep from blacking out. He stood on unsteady legs, but he shook it off and gripped his sword. "It's my turn!" He dashed towards the creatures, sword at his side. He came to the first monster and lept in the air, slashing down, cleaving it in two with ease. Its two halves fell to the ground, exploding in clouds of smoke, and a bloody chain was left in its wake. The chain quickly retracted, wrapping its self around the woman's wrist and locking in place. "One down, six to go." Sho said aloud as he wiped his forehead and readied for the next attack. (sorry it's so short, I wasn't sure what I was going to do) |

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
OOC: Okay, I’m joining this battle with the consent of ForeverKnight.
IC: As the shadowy feline creatures closed in on the embattled Sho, discs of light suddenly descended from the sky, raining down hard upon their backs. Their vociferous screams echoed about the buildings of the town as their bodies exploded, sending showers of dark blood flying everywhere. Sho looked up at the sky in amazement, but Alexi was still immersed in her maddened state. Like a rock, a magnificent Silver Dragon plummeted from the azure sky with a passenger nestled behind her left foreleg. She landed with a loud thump, causing the ground to quake slightly at her arrival and sending up a thin cloud of dust. She was a gorgeous sight with the radiant sunlight shimmering on her silver scales. Her emerald eyes glinted with a noble and intelligent light as she swept her gaze swiftly across the scene. Alexi was shivering over against a wall, both of her chains now wrapped securely around her arms. With a something between a snort and a grunt, the Silver Dragon lowered her muscular neck to allow her passenger to leap down to the dusty ground. Sho gasped in awe at the sight that stood before him. A female Elven warrior stared across at the strange girl against the wall, and her emerald eyes shone with the same light as the Dragon’s standing protectively behind her. There was no compassion, no concern, only a grim determination. Her waist-length, silver hair caught the breeze and swept across her back. Sho’s eyes shifted to the Elf’s back, widening in even more astonishment at her weapon. The Elf grasped the hilt of the great broadsword and slowly removed it from its elaborately decorated casing. The wondrous blade, tattooed with ancient Dragonrunes of power and protection, gleamed silver in the sunlight. Twin Dragons were entwined around the hilt, their jeweled eyes shining. The weapon was as long as three-fourths of the Elf’s height, truly a beautiful object of destruction. As she held it at an angle in front of her body, the Dragon spoke only to her. Small One, I do not care too much for this situation. It reeks of strange happenings. “It’s all right, Lithiuan. I know how to handle myself.” Lithiuan snorted and clicked her great foreclaws together, a sign of exasperation. Very well, Dragonfire Wielder. Just remember that if you find yourself in trouble, my brethren and I will come at your call. She paused for a few moments. And I’ll laugh when we find you cornered, and I’ll roll with mirth when the great Sileya, Elven warrior, cannot “handle” herself. “Hey!” Sileya exclaimed. With a bellowing Dragon laugh, Lithiuan beat her leathery wings and lifted into the sky. As she went, the Silver Dragon glowed and turned into a silvery vapor that wafted away in the breeze. Sileya continued to stare up into the sky until the Dragonrunes on her broadsword ceased pulsating with the same silver light. Sho flinched as the Elf’s gaze halted on him. With purposefulness in her stride, Sileya moved toward him, her eyes filled with nothing but cool calculation. She stopped in front of him and poked his chest with her index finger. “Who are you and how did you get involved in something like this?” Sho replied coolly. “Frankly, I'd like to know who you are first." Sileya balked; she never expected anyone to talk to her like this. "I am Sileya, if you really want to know.” Her respect for the man rose slightly. Sho nodded. "Well, I'm grateful for your assistance. Do you know what is the matter with that girl?" "She cannot be reached where she is right now. Can you not see she has no control over her own actions? She will continue to attack and summon no matter what you do or say.” Sho’s eyebrows rose. "A girl capable of summoning? Very interesting, indeed." Sileya glanced over at the still-shaking Alexi. “Listen, buddy. You can do whatever you want to do. Run away for all I care, but something has to stop that girl before she destroys the town. Now, are you going to stand there gaping all day, or are you going to help me?” Before Sho could reply, the chains wrapped around Alexi’s arms shifted slightly. Sileya sensed the movement and was able to push Sho to the side just as the chains sliced through the air where he had just been standing. With that, Sileya completely ignored the warrior and focused her full attention on Alexi. She whispered to herself in an inaudible voice, shifting her weight forward slightly and balancing the Dragonfire easily in her hands. “Alright, girl, I’m not going to let you die, but I’ll have no choice but to finish you if you can’t control yourself.”

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
**Cool. Let's see where this takes us**
Alexi could feel the disturbed air passing around her, still filled with dust from the exit of the dragon. She looked around, barely peering from outside her body. The new warrrior, an elf, stood facing her, the wind blowing in her face; dancing in her hair. Her mind burned, like a boiling soup. Her thoughts melded in and out of each other, forming a thick hazy layer over her consciousness. Alexi continued to fight the ever-present, ever rising 'urge'. The strange new sensation loomed just beyond the surface, beyond her understanding. It swarmed their, full of hate, anger, lust, all of the sensations that mankind restricts. It loomed their, growing off the fresh murders; it grew big and black, dark with evil. Suddenly dark eyes flashed in her mind, thoughts of blood and killing enveloped her. They settled on one scene, continuously playing the violence over in her mind. A young couple, a pair of fresh elves were in the forest. They were close, each nestled to each other in embrace. 'IT' blinked and the view was behind the pair; a lound, rattled breathing alerted their keen hearing. The male turned, facing the cloaked predator. ' IT' blinked again. Suddenly it was upon the male, crushing him to the ground. It toar at his throat, exposing fresh muscle. Huge, dark jaws toar at the wound, ripping out bloody cartilage. Enormous human-like claws took hold of the neck and easily broke the spine. The elf gave a slight shudder, his spirit leaving him to yonder existence. His body went limp, leaving only the horrified expression on his face; his eyes a glassy shade of green. The large, hairy hands left the neck and the gaze moved upon the fleeing girl. She moved fast, and quick with the forest, but was soon taken upon by the beast. Her body was smashed into by 'IT', knocking her off balance. Her back was grabbed, and the hand jerked her violently backwards. She was thrown sideways, flying backwards into an awaiting tree. Her frail frame hit the mighty trunk. She broke as her frame wrapped around the base, and fell silently to the ground. Blood decorated the trunk, giving the rich hue of the bark a dark ebony accent. The eyes flashed once more and they subsided, yet the energy still flowed within her mind, still dark and deadly. Alexi could still smell the forest, and the blood. And still horrified she was, for she had, in a strange way, enjoyed the slaughter. The killing in the memory and the blood on her arms excited the energy, and it felt like it might leap out of her skin and form from her flesh. The slightly fading vision hurt her, scared her. Deep down she realized that it was all too familar. It was an ancient recollection. A well-kept and thoroughly enjoyed memory. A new invigoration filled her blood, giving her an untapped power flow. She watched in horror as this vision triggered the unconscious movement of her limbs. Chairs snapped too and frow, biting at the heels of the two opposing forces. The gleaming blades crashed into the environment, smashing in the windows and building structures, all the while giving chase to the prey. Alexi's body moved in unison with the unrelenting hunters. The metal locks coursed through the air and wrapped around a small, wooden beam. The wood cracked from its home, leaving the remaing canopy in ruins as it crashed down upon the entrance to a shop. Dirt and dust flowed from the site, emmersing the fighters in a cloud of haze. The elven girl seemlessly dodged the raining blades. They followed her, striking and plunging into the settled earth. Finally fed up, the woman stopped in her movement, her feet sliding across the soil. Sileya brandished her sparkling blade. The pursuing chains grouped together; dozens of bladed strands swirled towards her. They spiraled in advance of violence, and chains flooded around Sileya. She shifted in stance watching the oncoming horrors. Dodging a near fatal blow, she leaped over the flow of the violent metal. The strands curved to the left, chasing Sileya. She quickened her pace, running flush with the current. Her spped quickened and she braced herself for impact. Subduing Alexi was her only chance of stopping this escalating battle. She noticed a flash of colr and then a body beside her. The warrior Sho met her stride and paired with her target. "So, you wish to help the girl too?" "Yes, warrior" "Well, I'm not splitting the money with you if that's what you think" Sileya sped up, and left Sho in mid stride. Alexi's body convulsed, nearly sending her to her knees. The chains suddenly dispersed and reshaped near Alexi. A black haze engulfed her and she cried out in agony. Blood flowed brazenly up the mobile chains. It covered the metal, leaving only hints of the former elements. The ground shook near her body. Black, misty energy pulsed from her body. She cried out again and more than tears flowed from her eyes. Blood seeped out of her mouth, down from her eyes, and pooled around where she stood. The pulsing stopped and the chains remained motionless, as if hovering in the air. Alexi muddered to herself and a black formed grew from the mist. It moved and reshaped, layering slowly around itself, forming a huge beast. A glow of darkness covered the forming creature and his mistress. Some time later the shape pulsed and the cover imploded. The beast formed remained horrific and perfectly new. A dragon-like creature appeared from the remants of the black. Huge, leathery wings flowed from its back. Four leg-like limbs held it still, and relatively short arms came from its chest. Another creature was formed from the top of the huge dark head. A man like creature formed from atop the huge, glinting red eyes. The half body was featureless except for two black voids where the eyes should be. Nothing but a leathery shell covered the man-beast. It flapped it's wings and sent the two incoming warriors abreast. They stopped and gaped at the lying danger. |

Re: Bloodshed in the streets (Anyone)
Sho stared at the hideous beast that now stood before him. It stared at him with cruel eyes, filled with malice and destruction. He grabbed his chest, he felt a pain that was enormous, for when the monster formed and burst from its covering it sent a wave of energy flying at him and Sileya. The energy was cold and empty, completely deprived of compassion or forgiveness. But what scared him, was not that it had come from the beast, no, it had come from the girl. Whatever had taken over her body had completely drained her soul of warmth. Sho lifted his eyes and glanced in the girl's direction, she stared at him yet her eyes were out of focus, tears rolled down her cheeks. Suddenly she turned her head to the dragon-beast. Sho too looked at it, just in time to see its gigantic claws ripping through the air toward him. He quickly lifted his sword, to block the attack but the force knocked him back. He flew through the air, and landed on the pavement with a sickening thud. He rolled a few feet and then stopped. A giant, clawed foot came crashing down next to him, exactly where he would have been in another second. The appendage rose, revealing a crater where it had been. Sho looked up, as he layed on his back, and saw the foot bearing down upon him. He rolled to the side, barely dodging it...
