Stained Blade (nikuvillain)

Ooc: I suddenly had a spark of inspiration, and I had to act upon it. I still feel like writing more!

Sonlen was sitting in his room, polishing his sword. Not that it needed polishing, part of it's magic made it unable to be stained. No, he was polishing it for the simple fact that he had nothing else to do. Zachary had recently been away from the Dome quite a lot, leaving Sonlen with a lack of assignments.

Of course, Sonlen explored the Dome regularly, hoping to find some adventure. But the Dome seemed to spite him, only leading him to the nonmoving rooms and ones he had already been to. The library had been interesting, but it seemed to have shrunk. The Dome clearly had plans for Sonlen that did not involve adventure.

"Damn!" yelled Sonlen, bursting from his boredom, "give me something to do! Someone to fight!" The Elf quickly took up his sword, and walked impatiently out of his room, as if he actually had somewhere he was going.

Sonlen wandered around the Dome hoping for a door he had not seen yet. After about an hour of searching, he found one. How could he have missed it? In the past week he had been past this very spot at least ten times.

The door appeared to be made of some type of unrecognizable deep red colored wood, engraved with a scene of war and blood upon it.

Sonlen should have been happy, he had finally found a door that he hadn't seen before, but for some reason he was apprehensive. There was a sense of death around the door, and it repelled him. Nevertheless, Sonlen was determined to find adventure, no matter what his feelings were now.

He reached towards the brass knob and entered through the door.

His eyes were met by an image of a vast desert. Winds were constant, stirring up dust that hurt the Elfs eyes. Small rocks were everywhere on the ground, wiggling slightly when a strong wind caught them. A mountain range was visible in the distance, an impossibly rainless thunderstorm hovering over them like a dark guardian.

"This is what I came here for," said Sonlen, and he began to walk towards the mountains.

“Where am I?” Melantha asked, viewing out at the vast deserted land around her. She couldn’t remember how she’d got there. The last thing she’d remembered was feeding on some poor human. His blood flowed through her mouth still, but he didn’t taste good. The dose of fear just wasn’t high enough for her. She sat up from the ground still thinking about how she got here.

“Whatever,” she yawed bored of thinking. The young maiden stood up dusting her clothes off; as she wiped herself down her eyes noticed something shine into her eyes.

What’s that? Could be food or gold, maybe fun, Melantha thought walking over to the shiny steel buried into the sandy floor. Quickly she snatched up the steel blade feeling the dull blade rest in the palm of her hand. Hmm… A sword. She flapped the sword through the air; swirling around she gripped the hilt of the katana and swung it downwards.

“Not bad for something so old. This could replace the sword I can’t use for now,” She said raising the sword next to her mouth. “Now, to breath life back into the blade.”

The young vamp showed her fags and opened her eyes wide as they turned green. A low pitch growl echoed through out her body as her fags sunk into the hilt of the blade. Saliva poured from her mouth onto the hilt and rushed down the blade of the sword. Small bits of blood soaked into the hilt of the sword.

The old sword’s blade shaped from the vamps powers being transferred into the object. The whole sword slowly became newer with as she more poured more of her powers into it. She stopped, noticing the odd odor of other being near her. She gripped the blade tight holding it behind her back with her other behind her.

Melantha gracefully walked towards the odor she smelled hiding the sword as she song, “Now he lays me down to sleep. Forever his soul to keep. I shall not fear the devil in my sleep. Because I walk through this deserted land with god in my eyes.”

The sight of a tall elf like male came into view. He seemed like fun from the way he stood there. She hummed her devil song with nothing, but evil in her mind. It been so long since she been able to fight and it was time to play.

Before Sonlen had taken two steps, he heard something. What's that? he thought, looking around. The Elf soon spotted a woman with long purple hair slowly walking towards him. He didn't know why, but something about the strange woman alarmed him; there was something familiar about her.

He knew he hadn't seen her before, but there was still something familiar. "Hey!" he called, "who are you?"

"I am Melantha, wanna play?" she smiled evilly, revealing two pointed canines, the unmistakable fangs of a vampire. That was what was familiar! She was a vampire!

Normally Sonlen wouldn't attack a woman, but he had enough experience with the vampiric race to know that her definition of playing wasn't a simple game of hop scotch.

The Elf took out his bow, and aimed straight towards the vampire woman, but she interpreted his attack and smiled. She moved out of the way just in time, purposely letting the arrow nearly reach her.

"Is that all? Aww, I was hoping for a bit more than that," and with that she moved her right hand from behind her back to reveal a blood-spattered katana. She began to walk towards Sonlen, her hips swaying with each step.

For a moment, Sonlen seemed to be hypnotized by the grace the woman possessed. No! She's a vampire, attack! he thought, and managed to take out his sword. "Well," the Elf muttered, never taking his eyes off the woman, "I asked for someone to fight..."

Ooc: I'm not sure if I portrayed Melantha correctly, tell me if I haven't and I'll try to fix it.

“Hmm… Cutie can use a sword too?” the vamp walked closer to him with nothing good on his mind. She was enjoying the game they where finally starting to play. Her sword dragged along the sandy ground as she continued to show off her sexy walk.

“What? Try me!”

“You shouldn’t temp me.” She dashed forward running with the same sway in her hips. She swung the sword carelessly in the air at the elf and he quickly blocked the attack. She hopped and flipped over him landing behind him. His blade danced around and she ducked moving around to his back. Rising up she ran her hand along the elf’s butt and back before jumping back.

“Fast.”

“Good. Though, did you attack me out of fear? From the way you blocked you didn’t seem like an attacker.” Melantha stared into the man eyes enjoying being able to tease the elf. She knew if he was much faster or lower on that attack she would be the one dead. It didn’t worry her much, but getting an attack in would be hard. Luckily, she had all the long in the world to finish him slowly.

“This one will take sometime to finish.” The vamp almost laughed at the thought of worrying about time. She never planned to end it quickly at all. “Good.”

"What? You thought it would be that easy to beat me? In your dreams," Sonlen smiled, rather kindly for some reason. He didn't mean to kill her, not if he didn't have to; this seemed like someone he would like to fight again.

Melantha, as the vampire woman was called, seemed to have no such reservations, though she did seem to be holding back. She ran straight towards Sonlen, who raised his sword, prepared to block the attack. But the woman sidestepped at the last moment, and Sonlens blade sliced through air. Melantha, just as quickly as she had sidestepped, jumped back to try to land a fatal blow to Sonlens side, but the Elf was fast, all his kind were, and Sonlen easily turned and blocked the attack.

The twosome's blades were locked, their faces only inches apart. "So, how did you get here?" asked Sonlen, gritting his teeth.

"Ooh, cutie's curious. Well, I don't think that is much of your business," replied the woman, laughing slightly.

"Well then," and Sonlen twisted his blade upward. Melantha didn't have time to react, and she was thrown into the air, her sword still in her hand. But she had amazing agility, and was able to touch back down easily.

"Cutie's pretty strong," she smiled, and she began to walk towards Sonlen with the same old sway in her hips, "but I don't even know your name."

"Sonlen," he replied. This is no normal woman, well, besides from the obvious fact that she's a vampire... He raised his sword and prepared to defend himself, trying to concentrate on the womans blade and not her body.

Melantha sucked, licked, and tasted the tip of her index finger dragging her sword behind her. Her red nails still painted perfect as always. She enjoyed subduing men with her looks even in a fight. Her ruby dress swayed with her body as she made her way closer to him. “So, Sonlen… How about we go out after this?” She giggled to herself teasing the young elf enjoying being able to take her time.

Mel swung her sword, kicking sand through the air as her blade met his. Her arm shifted the blade letting his blade ride down her. She smiled staring at him in his eyes before jumping back from his counter attack. “What about our date? If you don’t want a date how about becoming my right hand man?” She asked thinking only how he could be her slave.

“So, what you say Sonlen boy? Join me!” Lady Melantha reached her hand out showing of her pretty nails and beautiful see through ruby top. The rest of her body ready to dodge at anytime if the boy made any attempts to attack.

She waited, but only a few seconds before returning her hand back to her side. “No?” With a look of disappointment. “Are you sure?”

I... want... to... thought Sonlen, entranced by the vampiric beauty. No! he argued with himself, she'll kill you! And who knows what else she can do!

Sonlen lunged towards Melantha, his sword thrust in front of him; but the blow was halfhearted, and was easily dodged.

"Is cutie having second thoughts? Hmm? Maybe you don't want to kill me after all, maybe you do want to be with me," Melantha concealed a dark smile.

No, don't fall for it, distract her! "So, how did you become so bitter in the first place," asked the Elf, attempting to avoid looking at Melantha for fear he might be seduced by the vampire further.

Ooc: Well, Sonlen isn't exactly young, but his age is in human years, and he is young for an immortal elf... (He won't die of old age or disease). Not sure if a vamp year is longer or shorter than a human year though. Melantha is 36 in vamp years, correct?

OoC: Vamp age slower than humans do. The young thing I do a lot unless I'm writing with Rika. So, that was my fault. Yes, that 36 in vamp years. Moving on to the battle.

IC: “Interesting… You want to know how come I'm so bitter. Will this help you fight?” she asked, walking around him glazing at his body. His body wasn’t bad for an elf she’d never took notice of this before. As she walk the though of fighting him at his full strength excited her.

“Maybe,” the elf replied, gripping his sword watching her every movement careful. Melantha couldn’t tell if her subduing skills were working on him.

“I really do want you to fight at you’re best,” she asked stopping in her tracks. “I was born a vampire! I didn’t get bit nor have I been human before. So, really I've never had that much fun. Well, fighting and drinking is fun.“ She turned towards him and evil smile came across her face, glaring at him.

“So, how old are you really?”

“In human years, its hard to say. I’ve lost track of how many years have gone by.” Her other hand finally touched the hilt of the sword. “I’ll tell you one thing though.”

“What that?”

“I’m growing bored of this game!” she finally said dashing forward swing her sword in the air. The elf blocked her upwards attack with his sword. She hopped back and leaped above him. She swung her blade down above him only to be flung through the air from the elf.

Melantha growled, she was being man handle by an elf. She glared into his eyes with her vengeful eyes. “That more like it now,” she said raising to her feet. “You seem to be focusing a little better. “

The only reason I'm focusing better is because I'm not looking at you... Of course, Sonlen didn't say this, but he knew it was true. "Yeah..." and with that Sonlen tried something he hadn't ever done in his life: he threw his sword.

The blade flew straight as an arrow. Melantha looked startled and was barely able to avoid being killed. But Sonlen did accomplish one thing: the vampire began to bleed.

"You.. cut me..." for a moment she looked angry, as if she couldn't believe she had been injured, then she began to laugh. " I said I wanted to fight you at your best, didn't I? Oh, cutie, we're going to have some fun."

Sonlen smiled, still trying to avoid looking at her directly, "And now that I'm fighting at my best, how about we have a more... exciting, battlefield?"

Melantha smiled, "And where would you have in mind?"

Sonlen motioned towards the mountains in the distance, and they both took off towards the mountains, Sonlen making sure to retrieve his sword.

Neither took their eyes off the other, though whether it was in distrust was unsure.

Ooc: Not really sure about that post, if you want me to change it just say.

OoC: This will get us back on the road we were on. Now that I'm back this will end a lot faster. Hope you're ready.

The dusty land kicked up in her face, reaching the top of the mountain range. She grew bored of this chase, dashing toward the elf across the rocky cliff. Her foe jumped away dodging her sword attacking landing on another rock just above her. She flipped in the air landing on a flat part of the cliff. She smiled jump across to another rock with great ease. “I think this is far enough. You clear can handle yourself on this rocking world.

The rushing breeze from the mountain did nothing to help. The dusty dirt and sand blew pass her eyes making it hard for her to see him clearly. It made things hard , but she seemed happy to take on the challenge. She swung the sword she’d found pass the loose part of her hair, glairing back at the man. “Now, are you going to be a baby girl or!”

She jumped across to the next rock dashing at him with great speed. Her face stopped just short of the blade that swung pass her face. Her pony hair swayed pass her touching the man face before she jump back in shock. That was good for a child, newbie to the sword. She stayed away on her guard wondering if he still holding back.

“You are you still holding back?” she asked jumping to another rock. “You have skills with a sword, but I can’t help, but think something is off;” She said staring at him unable to put her finger what out of place. “No matter, your death is foreseen,” she said relaxing her guard readying herself to attack again.

Ooc: Sorry for the wait, I've been slow lately... And I've got about a million posts to do... And guess what? Your other one is up next

Bic: "Forseen? Dammit, are you some kind of fortuneteller?" said the Elf, more confident now that the flying dust concealed enough details of his foe's appearance so that he wouldn't be distracted.

"Hmm, now I might be, huh cutie? But you'll just have to find out," Melantha smiled darkly, though there was a strange look in her eyes that was visible even through the storm; it was as if she were searching for the answer to a question that she didn't even know.

Realizing Sonlen's guard was down, the vampiric beauty attacked. Executing a perfect fake backhand slash which distracted the Elf long enough for her to land a blow to his arm. It wasn't extremely severe, but it bled and hurt!

Melantha's eyes glinted at the sight of Sonlen's blood. "Ooh cutie, you look tasty..."

Taking advantage of his opponent's mesmerization in blood, Sonlen charged Melantha and made a thrusting move with his sword. Quick as lightning, Melantha jumped and performed a front handspring, using Sonlen's head as support, and landed behind the Elf.

I'm going to have to fight smarter, her reflexes are amazing... thought Sonlen as he turned around yet again.

Melantha's dress was rather... wrinkled. And Sonlen glimpsed a few things he probably shouldn't have, though he didn't doubt the vampire let him. She smiled as she corrected her dress.
