Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
OoC: Nostalgia...
It's ok to start with a short post, yes? The dry wind of the dessert hit Aronin in the face as he stepped out of the portal from the Dome. Somehow, he had ended up in a dessert, somewhere, in the middle of the day. But even how desolate the dessert seemed, there was something he could not put his finger on. There was something familiar about this place, even though he had never been here before. The portal shrank silently and disappeared into nowhere as Aronin began walking. He had the feeling there was someone he should be meeting over a hill somewhere. A shiver went through his body as he got a déjà vu experience, something about fire and ice clashing in the dessert. As he cleared the sand dune, he noticed him, the man walking towards him from the other dune. Cautious as usual, Aronin prepared for the worst, an attack or an ambush, but as the man didn’t seem to mean him any harm yet, he relaxed a bit. “Hello,” Aronin said as they got closer. Then he remembered. “I know you,” he continued. “From a dream.” |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
OoC: Sorry for... Alot of things...
BiC: Viratious stepped on the white sands beneath his feet. They pushed through and on top of his toes. He smiled softly as he enjoyed this sensation, and continued walking. He enjoyed this heat, even though he previously hated heat. Before, the arctic planes were his calling. He would lay in them for hours, and cover himself with snow. He would ride the blizzards, and challenge the polar bears for their last piece of meat. He almost always won. As this memory faded away, he looked ahead, to see that he was still walking. He came near a man, who stopped. Viratious stopped, and looked at him. "Hello," he said. Viratious knew that voice... But, he couldn't place it... "I know you," he said. "From a dream." |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
”I don’t know what happened,” Aronin started, and thought back at the memory he had. “But I met you, in one of my dreams… And yet, you stand before me here.”
“In the dream, we never finished the battle…” Aronin continued, “so unless you have no other things to do, let’s fight!” A blue flame engulfed Aronin’s hand. OoC: You didn't say anything, so it had to be a short post :/ It's just a "I'm chaotic natural, you're lawful evil, let's fight" battle. No deep story or reason. eh? |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
OoC: Sorry for being lazy.
Oh, and I'll explain the black fire later. BiC: Viratious stared deep into this man's eyes. He saw the reflection of the blue fire in his eyes. He whipped out his left hand, and snapped his fingers. His hand was engulfed in a reddish-black fire. He looked at this, surprised, but felt a deep satisfaction. "Three steps?" He asked... The man nodded in agreement. Viratious turned around and took a step forward. "One." was called out. There was some sort of excitement rising deep within him. He cracked a smile, almost as if he was about to finish something he started. He took another step. "Two." this time he said it. He felt power from deep within him rising up, and spreading out to all of his body. He started his arms, and his other hand on fire. He continued to spread the flames throughout his whole body, and on top of his pants. He was engulfed in the dark fire, but he felt no heat. Instead he felt calm, and in control. He took another step. "Three" they cried out in unison. Viratious swung around and ducked, to avoid any incoming attacks. He stuck his hand out before he could see anything, and shot a stream of jet black fire from his fingertips and what he thought was his opponent. |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
"Three!"
A black jet shot out at Aronin from his opponent. A similar, but blue jet of hot substance countered it and resulted in a explosion between the two combatants and Aronin held his arm up to protect himself from the sand that was flung up in the air. The battlefield was now clouded in fine sand floating around; the previous breeze had somehow subsided. "Let's see what you are made of," Aronin said mostly to himself as he lifted a hand. The sand around him followed the motion and soared motionlessly in the air around Aronin. He tilted his hand, and the sand shoot out towards Viratious, aiming to blind him, or at least create enough confusion for Aronin to get around him to attack him close up. He wanted to properly see the man beforehand. |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
Viratious looked out at his adversary, only to see a mass of sand flying straight towards him. He held out his hand and set it on fire, and burned any sand that came in contact with it. He smiled as he quickly snapped his fingers, and the fire leaped off of his hand towards a nearby plant. It caught fire, and the inferno quickly rose to a great height, towering over the battlefield.
Viratious quickly dashed behind it, placed his hands on the flames, and spread them out through the air around him. He looked upwards, and was prepared to counter any attack. The wall of fire would stop any coming from the sides, and he could easily deal with any coming from above. |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
Fire, that guy's no joke, creating an inferno in the dessert! Aronin gasped as he dodged to avoid the flames shooting up all around him. The heat from the flames added drastically to the already baking hot air, and Aronin could feel his t-shirt getting damp from sweat. But still, his distraction had worked, and the stranger did no longer know where he was. He dissolved the cloud of sand he had been hiding in, and charged at the stranger from behind.
He was just a few feet away when the man turned his face around and they both got eye contact. Aronin gasped; the man he was fighting, and the man he had fought in the dream, was only a boy... His attack faltered as he realized just 'what' he was fighting. |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
The man Viratious was fighting tripped into his circle of flame. He forgot to secure the back.
Immediately Viratious ran a good distance away, and collapsed the fires onto the man, quickly putting them out when re realized how hot it was. He didn't want to kill this man. His opponent got up, turned around, and stared directly at Viratious. His eyes were soft, but confused. He did not understand something. Viratious decided to use some other form of magic, something colder... He stuck out his arm and froze it into a blade-like apparatus. A quick gasp from the man standing across from him revealed surprise, and possibly fear. |

Re: Deja Vu [SnareSticks]
I can't fight a boy? Aronin thought to himself as flames crashed down on all sides. He's just thirteen...
The flames withered away, and the barriers Aronin had put up shattered into thin air. The boy stood a little distance away from him, emanating power all over the place. How could such a little boy be in possession of so much power? Aronin felt sorry for the boy, who in such a young age had to fight for his life. How much fear and loneliness such a boy must have faced.. He could not attack anymore. He felt sorry for being the one who started the fight, for being the one to attack first. But the boy had been fighting back, and not only for defense. And just as Aronin watched, the boy's hand turned into a sword blade. Aronin bit his dry lip, and tried to think of a way out. He wondered if he would insult the boy if he told him to stop. The boy charged at him, and Aronin put up another air barrier to block his attacks, not completely willing to fight the young boy. OoC: But don't stop the fight already. ![]() |
