A Demon's Test (Gamer XL)

A bolt of lightning flashed across the night, lighting up the otherwise pitch black sky.

Kai blinked and continued his trek across Hyrule field. The journey was long, so he summoned phoenix, and suddenly Kai's body shapeshifted into a great fire bird. The bird flew across the dark sky, dodging bolts of lightning that came down around him. It was raining lightly, but the bird wasn't bothered. Suddenly, with its sharp eyes, it made out a figure in the distance.

A bolt of lightning caused the figure to wince, but it kept walking. The fire bird saw it was a zora carrying two katanas across its back. He was obviously a warrior, and the bird landed in sight of the zora.

Suddenly, the bird transfigured itself back into the demonic Hylian Kai. "I am Kai" the demon spoke. "You are a warrior, no?" he asked the zora. The zora hesitated, then replied "I am Golath, and I have been sent on behalf of the zora tribe to eradicate the demon menace known as Kai!" the zora said boldly. "Heh" Kai started laughing. "My power is to great for you to even comprehend." Kai drew his legendary demonic broadsword. The blade had a mind of its own, and sensing the zora's fresh blood, it spoke telepatchically to Kai.

"Kill him, my child, kill him Kaidranis, and show the mortals of this world the glory of the demons!"

A bolt of lightning fell, causing a pause. Kai laughed, he had gotten used to the haunting voice of the blade by now. "As you wish, master." he said. "Prepare yourself, Golath!" Golath drew his twin katanas and faced the demon. The battle had begun............

Golath was on his way to the beast who had killed his family so he could avenge them but to him it was a test of strenghth to fight this one known as Kai. As Golath drew his swords he said,"this will be an intense battle. I can sense your power from here. You have definatly have gone through a couple of rough fights." Kai responed," i have and i can see you have to." The two warriors walked closer to eachother circleing. Golath made the first attempt to land damage on the demonic hylian. His katanas cut the air at speeds that he couldnt even measure. He swung his swords at the creature in hope to hit this demon.

Kai's broadsword parryed both blows with such force that Golath was knocked right off his feet. The zora rolled out of the way of another of Kai's attacks and jumped to his feet and slashed with a katana, and the two clashed blades. "Who are you?" the zora asked Kai. "Heh" the demonic hylian laughed at the zora. "I am darkness. I am death itself. I have been through hell and back again." Kai smirked. "You cannot defeat me." Golath hit Kai's side suddenly while the demon was talking. It was only a scrape, and a drop of blue blood fell to the ground. Kai picked it up with his finger and licked it. "Demonic blood courses through my viens."

Suddenly, every muscle in Kai's body tensed. He fell to his knees and began breathing heavily and gasping for air. Great bat-like wings shot from his shoulders, and extended to the heavens, then gently folded at his side. Kai's breathing returned to normal, and he got up to face his foe. "Heh" he smirked. "See if you can catch me" With that, the demon flapped his bat wings and took to the sky.

Golath looked around frantically, but could not find Kai. Suddenly, he felt a blade to his neck. Kai was hovering above him with his sword pointed at Golath's throat.

"Tell me why you are here mortal or I will kill you!"

With quick thought Golath ducked down and got behind Kai but he flapped his wings before he could hit him down. Golath yelled out,"if u werent such a cowered u would fight me on equal terms on the ground." Due to the rain and lightning Kai didnt hear Golath and came from behind him.

Golath saw this the last time. Kai had been circleing around him. Golath saw him everytime and when he didnt come around he knew he was behind him. With great speed Golath ran in circles and jumped in the air. Golath yelled out,"lets see you handle this."

A flash of light appeared in the sky and out of nowhere a dragon 10 times the size of Kai appeared. Golath spoke in a wicked manner,"this is one of my ultamite power. Bahamut destroy that simple minded fool and his sword.

Bahamut opened his gigantic jaw and a huge beam shot from it. Kai's body dodged the blast but his wings got caught. He fell to the ground but appeared unharmed except for his crippled wing. Golath anounced as he jumped from Bahamuts back and the beast went back to the sky," now the real fight begins.

"Heh" Kai smirked "Phoenix, I summon you!" Kai's body was transformed into a massive fire bird, and the bird flew up after the dragon.

The blazing bird dodged lightning bolts as it flew. Suddenly, a huge bolt of lightning hit Golath right off Bahamut and set the field below on fire. Golath fell and the flames below engulfed him, charing his zora skin. The phoenix laughed and thought to itself "mmmm fish sticks" And dove from the sky to confront the wounded Golath.

Phoenix landed and took the form of Kai again. He found the burnt form of Golath lying on the blackened grass. "Heh, the true battle, eh?" The zora coughed and sat upright staring into the eyes of the demon.

Golath still have enough power to jump over the flames. Golath used his power of ice. "Ice Shards," he yelled out. The ice melted into water and the field was safe again. Golath then summoned more ice to heal some of his wounds. Golath then took out his Obsidian Bow and shot Kai.

As Kai fell Golath used his magic of the elements to ice to enhance his katanas and as fast as Kai fell Golath moved. As Golath moved he said,"he will never expect this." Then Kai started to get up and Golath stopped. He knew it was unhonnerable to attack and unpreperred foe. Golath knew that Kai was mad but he didnt show it. Kai then said,"i geuss this really is the true peak of this battle."

As the two exchanged looks the massive Bahamut appeared once again but Golath ordered it to leave for now. The beast did as it was told. With Golaths blades still empowered with the element of ice he charged at Kai. As he got to a point were his blades could cut Kai, Golath dodged to the left avoiding the swing of the demons blade and through some of his throwing knives. All but 2 hit and hit him in the side of the rib and stomach.

As the pain got to Kai, Golath ran tord the demon and knocked the sword from his hands. It fell and said to me," You pathetic creature. Dont you know that that fool is not the one who has been fighting you. It has been me and the only way to beat me is to destroy me." As Golath went to cut the blade in half, Kai got up suddenly and the blade to him. The blade had possesed the body of Kai for the moment and he knew that Kai was not the enemy now but the sword that he held.

ooc: Btw that blade is demonically charged and indestructable. And it dosen't possess Kai, it merely speaks to him telepatchically, he still has the will to do as he pleases.

Kai looked at the blue blood that fell from his side. "You are weak" he said and took up his broadsword again. "Dark Wave!" he yelled, and a black vortex engulfed the two warriors and everything around them.

As quick as it came, the mist was gone, leaving Kai completely healed and Golath on his knees in pain. "Heh" Kai smirked. "Like my dark wave? It heals demons and hurts holy creatures." The zora wiped blood from his side. "Yo- You are more powerful then I thought" Golath muttered weakly. Kai started laughing and spat into the face of the wounded zora.

"I am a demon, fool" A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, causing a pause. "None can oppose me" Kai took out his long bow given to him by the goddesses.

"Why?" the zora asked. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" he repeated. "I was once Hylian" Kai started. "We were the last survivors of a long lost race" Kai lowered his weapon and looked down. "My village- my family- it was all destroyed. Lost forever in flame and darkness." "Bah" Kai said, coming back to his senses. "It dosen't matter because your about to die!"

"Now, can you handle the heat?" Kai said. He took an arrow and notched it to his bow, and the arrow tip was magically coated with fire. "Fish sticks on the house tonight!" Kai said mockingly as the arrow flew right into Golath's chest, hitting him HARD!

OOC:btw Golath isnt a holy zora. He is just wondering looking for the beast that murrdered his family.

Golath pulled the arrow from his chest and used his ability Ice Shards again to heal his wounds. "This battle is not over yet but let me ask you something." said Golath." Why do you want to fight me. I have done nothing to you. I dont even know you" All of a sudden Kai was running towords Golath. Golath knew now that this demon just wanted to kill until he found the one who killed his family.

Golath used his one of his range attacks while Kai came running towords him. "Fireballs," Golath said. In an instant 3 fireballs came shooting from his hands. Kai dodged 2 of them and one got him in the leg. Golath used the fireballs ability again hoping to hit Kai while he was down but he jumped out of the way.

Kai said," Hehe you think that one little ball to the leg will stop me." Then in an instant Kai used his Dark Wave ability again. Golath saw this and called his beast from the heavens once more. Bahamut apeared once more and again it fired its massive attack from its mouth. Unfortunitly Kai saw he beast and dodged the attack. Golath then enhanced his sword with his ultimate attack.

"All Element Unite," Golath said. In a flash both of Golath katanas glowed with the emence power of the elements. He ran toword Kai and knocked him to the ground. With both blades to his neck Golath said," I dont want to fight or kill you." Golath released the blades from Kai neck and boarded Bahamut.
