Uh, boom? (GoldenChaos)

ooc: Ah, titles, I lov--er--hate those. Oh well. So....a place to battle.... First off, since I still have not gotten off my lazy ass and made a new character, I shall be using my only character, whose profile, and cruddy bio are listed first on the approved characters list, Caffran.

bic: Caffran stepped out into a large open field. Behind him stood a forest-he was no longer particulary sure which forest it was, since it seemed he had found himself in a multitude of places. He might have been in Hyrule, he might have been in some other place he had never heard of. However, that did not matter, for he felt there would be combat, and combat soon.

Caffran looked up. It appeared to be around 1 in the afternoon, and there was a small storm in the distance-too far away to affect where he stood. He turned his attention to the wind. There was a light, pleasant breeze blowing from the east, lightly shaking his shirt. There were small birds chirping and flying about.

He suddenly heard a sound that did not sound like something which belonged in this peaceful enviornment. He drew his sword from its scabbard, quickly and nearly silently. The sword glinted slightly as he brought it above his head and in front of him. His shield, which he removed from his back, created a bright reflection on the ground.

Caffran's green eyes narrowed slightly, and he watched the path from which he heard someone approaching.

OOC: I told you I was coming, so here I am! Without any further delay, lets start this out...

IC: GoldenChaos approached the boy, staring at his green hair, and emerald colored eyes. He petted him on the head, "What adept are you, little kid? I don't think I've ever heard of a green adept."

"What's an adept?" The young boy asked. He looked up at the man, who seemed to be much taller than him, and much more powerful. But at the same time, it seemed that all the armor would make him a lot slower than the Kokiri boy, so he decided to have a little fun. "Catch me if you can!"

"Playing games, eh? I will play along." Everywhere the boy went, GC was there standing in front of him. The game was won all to easy. GC was suspecting something about this boy, but he did not know what the kid was hiding. "Who are you, kid?" But the Kokiri boy kept moving.

He struck GC hard on the back, who fell to the ground. He picked hiself up, rubbed his back with his right hand, and took out his staff. "I see you are not one to be playing games with. If you are going to be that way, than I will be forced to fight you."

"Bring it on, I need some practice." Caffran pulled out his sword and sheild, and stood in a fighting stance. The battle had begun.

ooc: I have to hand it to you...You made a really creative name for your character. FYI, I know what an adept is....but my character does not.

bic: Still wondering what an 'adept' was, Caffran circled around his foe once more. Now wary of what he'll do, GC continued to face Caffran as he slowly circled. Caffran decided to test GC, and charged him. Just as he was about to hit, a large magic hand appeared and forced him backwards. "What the...? What the heck was that hand?"

"You...uh...you can see that?" GC asked him.

"Why wouldn't I? It was a giant friggin hand!" Caffran replied. Before Caffran took any further action, GC lunged forward, and swung his staff at him, aiming for the midsection. Caffran rolled to the side, in the direction of the swing, allowing the staff to pass overhead. As soon as the staff had passed him, Caffran returned to his feet, spun around, and charged into GC, bashing his chest with his shield

OOC: Kokiri Kid, was that finished, because the last sentence you wrote seemed to not end. If it is not finished, say so, and I will edit this part of the battle to fit whatever happens.

Oh, and about the name, I suppose GC is his nickname, I will put into his profile that his real name is Hunter, if it is okay. (Hunter is that name I would have had, if my mom had won "the naming fight". Thank god she didn't )

IC: Caffran seemed to be moving far too fast for GC to keep up by himself. But then he looked down, and remembered just what he was wearing. The golden boots, with their power, he could catch up to Caffran. And so he caled upon their power, and rushed toward the Kokiri in a mass of light and gold, and struck him hard on the nick. He had caought him off guard, but something was amiss. "That was too easy," he thought to himself. "There is something about this kid... but I don't know what it is. Whatever it is, it is probably essential to my jouney. I will have to force his secrets out of him, whether by extreme injury... or death."

Caffran stopped, "Hey, why did you stop moving?" GC Noticed that he was standing still, contemplating his thoughts, and did not have his guard up. He still pondered about the boy, that something strange was within him, he was just not normal.

"Kid! How can you move that fast, who taught you to do that?"

"I trained myself, my master, the Great Deku Tree, gave me a few tips too."

"Who is this "Deku Tree"?"

"He is my master, he saved my life, now are we going to fight? I'm not getting any younger... doubt that I am getting any older too, but c'mon, lets fight!"

ooc: ...sorry for the amount of time this reply took...I haven't had the time. Nothing critical was left out of the last post, so it's all good. A couple of clarifications (ok, one), he doesn't refer to the Deku Tree as 'his master.' So, just for my own egotistical fufillment, I'll rewrite that little conversation.

bic: "Kid! How can you move that fast, who taught you to do that?"

"My best friend and I trained ourselves."

"You trained yourself? But how? You're such a little kid!"

"I'm older than you, boy," this, of course, sounds odd coming from the voice of an apparent 10-year old, especially addressing someone noticably larger than him, "Enough of this."

Caffran suddenly dives forward, and GC barely manages to move aside in time. As he passes, Caffran kicks a foot forward, and he does a backflip in the air, and brings his sword down at GC, who manages to raise his staff to halt the blade, but he doesn't halt Caffran, who lands on him.

GC forces Caffran off off him, and then does some sort of movement, resulting in the ground below caffran to lift and shake.
As the local earthquake subsides, Caffran rolls further away from GC, and says, "Using magic, I see. Okay then...two can play that game!"

As he says this, Caffran holds his sword out in front of him, pointing it at GC. After a moment, the sword begins to glow brightly, and Caffran drops it down into the ground. Suddenly, a large storm blows in, and freezing rain and hale begins to fall upon them. Nothing touches Caffran, it all whips around him, dodging out of his way. He picks up his sword again, watching GC's reaction.

OOC: Sorry for how long this one took... been having some things going on, but now I am ready to write.

IC: "You are truly an amazing kid, I must give you that. But, even with your age and experience, it if funny how you have absolutely no chance at victory in the is match."

"How so?"

"How get distracted much too easily, like you are now!" GoldenChaos held his hand up high and called upon a large frozen sphere, which crashed upon Caffran and sent him fling backward. "You should learn to pay more attention to your foes. I can teach you this, you just have to learn the basics. Lesson 1, never let your guard down!" GoldenChaos struck the boy with brute force, making him choke. "Do not think your apperance will make me go easy on you. I can see from what you know and how you speak that you are decades, maybe even centuries older than I am. Do not think I haven't encountered this before. You may have skills, but you don't stand a chance, Kokiri boy."

"H-how did you know I was a Kokiri? I never told you anything. Ah! What is that?" Caffran was staring at the medium sixed purple energy waves going into his mind.

"As you can probably see, I am reading your thought, Caffran. I am learning about you, and your fighting experience. I am learning of your past and even of your present and future. There is nothing you can hide. And nothing you need to hide, either. Attack me, boy. Show me you strength!" GoldenChaos let his arms span out, leaving his chest open to attack, and waited for the boy to make his move.

ooc: 3 years, actually. "Be mindful of your thoughts, young Padawan."

bic: Chew on this, screwy! Caffran thinks to himself, and considers how to best shoot GC. There are other things going through his mind, but the most prominent is that an arrow to the face would teach this mind-reader a thing or two.

Caffran pulls out his bow, readies an arrow that glows blue, and fires it. Expecting the shot, and knowing where Caffran aims, GC moves his head aside. As the arrow streaks toward him, he realizes that he ignored another thought that appeared in Caffran's head right before the arrow flew out, stomach. Before he can react to this realization, the arrow strikes him in the stomach, and it suddenly feels to GC as if his midsection is frozen solid. He looks down, and sees that there is quite a bit of ice on him, originating from the arrow now surrounded by ice, and stabbed into him.

"Lesson 2, be mindful of misdirection," Caffran says to him, then runs forward, and kicks GC over onto his back.

As GC scrambles back to his feet, somewhat akwardly, since his midsection can't move too well, Caffran moves about 25 feet away, and fires off another glowing blue arrow.

OOC: Well... this is getting interesting. Lets just sday my character thinks he is older... I guess....

IC: "I see you have a few things to teach me as well. Did you have a master? Some who tought you to fight? I am not going to violate you again, if you wish to tell me anything, tell me your thoughts yourself."

"I have no master," Caffran said slowly, his words seemed to tangle before coming out of his mouth, as if he was unsure of the statement.

"Very well than. Of course, your ice has little effect on me. It may slow me down, but I weild the power of water and ice, along with others. Now, witness what has come to be with much training and hardship, what I have worked my entire life to achive! I can control all four elements!" He raised both hands up, and the ice flew off of him, and melted as it hit the ground. Out of the spot where it melted, the earth shifted and rumbled, and a small earthquake shook the ground. Out of the earthquake came a river of lava, which moved toward Caffran, thean stoped and hardened. From the lavas steam, a tornado formed, which then hit Caffran, sending him back. GC moved so that he now stood behing Caffran. He sent the elements away, leaving the ground normal again. Caffran got to his feet with ease, his pupils got smaller as he glared at the Lemurian.

"Lesson 3: Always have one good ally," GoldenChaos tapped into the power of his Golden Boots, and ran circles around the Kikiri boy, liteally. He seemed to have stopped, but it also looked as if seven GC's were surrounding Caffran. They all spoke at once, "In my case, 7 will do," The seven GC's left their original places and started to beat on Caffran, using magic as well as brute force. Caffran had no where to run.

ooc: Fair enough, I suppose. I'm still not here... you have no idea where this post came from *waves fingers mystically* I don't recall a multiply ability in GS. Perhaps that's because I never go around to finishing it...
"No where to run" eh?

bic: Caffran did his best to stop as many attacks as possible, sucessfully stopping about half of them, using his shield and sword. This was not enough to make the duplicate GCs stop attacking. If anything, it made them attack more furiously.

Caffran attempted to dodge and block attacks for a moment, then he remembered that he can jump-and jump very well. He squatted down a bit, still being pummelled, and by this time in a large amount of pain, and launched himself straight up, out of the group. In mid-air, he quickly stowed his sword and shield, then came down on one of the GC's head, and stood on his new target's shoulders. From there, he managed to grab a hold of the staff.

The GC attempted to knock him off, and as he tries to take down Caffran, Caffran jumps backwards, still holding the staff, and kicks with both feet into the back of his target's head. This launches him, and the staff, away from the cluster, which had reformed around him.

He studied the staff a moment, just long enough for the 6 consious GCs to try and attack him with various magics. As they cast, he jumps to their sides, and out of the line of fire. His opponents spread themselves out a bit, and continue to try and blast him. He continues to dodge, jump, weave, and generally avoid all that is thrown at him. At one point he manages to get one of the GCs to hit another.

"Friends are good, yes, but they aren't everything!" He says, and throws the staff he carries at the nearest GC, who dodges to the side. As the staff passes near, it explodes suddenly, sending splinters into the GC.

"Agility is everything!" He calls out, and catapults away again, taking out his bow upside-down and in mid air.

OOC: Ack, sorry for the very late reply. It has been chaos here with homework, and now my parents are trying to severly cut down my computer time... oh, and the multiple GC's thing isn't psyenergy. It is one of the effects of his Golden Boots, which boost his agility enough to make 6 extra of him appear. Oh, and BTW, your story can get confusing at times switching between present and past tense so quickly...

IC: And so the battle raged on, from fist to fist and knee to stomach, the six concious GC's continued to attack the tiny Kokiri boy. The seventh one had dissapeared, and the Green haird kid took a moment to notice this fact, and pondered on where he could have went.

But he was still in the air, he remembered, and took aim with his bow while the GC's tried to attack him. He fired a shimmering golden arrow at one of the Adepts, and made a direct hit. The Adpet then disintegrated and dissapeared. This was obviously not the original GoldenChaos. He grabbed hold of the staff he had taken from the man, and used it against them after he landed, swinging in in circled, he was not anywhere near a staff master. He took the sides of the staff and used it to hit two GC's at once, who fell back and dissapeared.

Four GC's now remained, and Caffran had the intention to destroy them all, or if he could not do that, at least find the original GoldenChaos. He began running circles around his opponents, in hopes he could have confuned them, be they just stopped him with their staffs. They felt solid, and he wondered how GC had made these fake images of himself so real. He continues to bash on them until he was knocked back and lying on the ground. One of the GC's walked up to him, obviously the original.

"You see, there is hardly a way to win this, get up, Caffran. We will fight a one on one from now on, okay?"

"Hmm.. okay GoldenChaos. Only one of you sounds good to me."

"Please, you can call me Hunter. Now, get yourself up while I get rid of my other selfs."

GC walked over to his three other images and ordered them away, striking each of them with a mighty blow and watching them dissintegrate and dissapear. Caffran made his way onto his feet and put himself in a fighting stance. GoldenChaos, or Hunter as he had asked to be called, stood reaqdy two, and he orderd the fight to start again. The two charged at each other, using nothing but their bear fists is weapons, clashing them together and then finally holding them together with sugh an equal force that after holding the fists against each other for too long they were repeled away.

The fight continued on as Caffran threw away the staff of the image of GC, and that dissintegrated too, along with everything else. Caffran took out his blade and sheld, and GoldenChaos took out his staff and had his hand ready to summon psyenergy.

"Okay, Hunter," Calling his opponent by his name like that under such friendly terms was unusual for the Kokiri boy, and he almost laughed, "we will start this fight again. I promise I won't hold anything back!"

ooc: HA! After...way to long, I finally do it. (And I've written that 5 times, but never finish the rest...) I won't have time the rest of this summer to continue battling...

bic: Caffran gazes at his opponent a long moment (thinking about how long this post took...gosh, must be a really long gaze...but we'll assume it wasn't a month long), then charges forth, starting the battle once again.

Hunter swings his staff just as Caffran approaches, so as to stop the charge, but Caffran spins around and under the staff, and barrels into Hunter, knocking him down.

Caffran stands over Hunter, and puts his sword tip right at his throat, and speaks again. "It has been a good fight. I commend you. But now I must depart. Perhaps we shall meet again. He withdraws his sword, backs up, and, with a sudden jump into a nearby tree, is gone.

A month you had... and all you could think of was a retreat? Heh, I guess it means that the battle is over... how boring... well, good battle, I guess, even if it did take over a month for you to think of the ending.

Actually, it took me 5 minutes to think of the ending... it took a month to decide to do that. And a crappy ending it was...I appologize for that.

Perhaps we can battle again when August rolls around, and I have time again.
