Battle for Supremacy (LadyElvenArcher, and 2 others)

Alrighty, since LEA was kind enough to approve my most recent character, I'll be using him. You can find Jaden in my profile in my sig.
I would like this to become a four person battle, you can make or break alliances, do whatever, but make it good.

Intro:

A scorching sun beat down upon the wind swept sands of Hyrule. These sands however belonged to an area known only as, "Desert Colossus". Many legends were told about this forgotton place, whether they are true or no, who can say? Yet, in spite of the howling wind, the grains of sand brushing up against each other, and scavangers cries for blood, one could hear the distinct sound of footsteps in the sand. Closer and closer it came, a flash of light, a drop of blood, three pesky sand crawlers lay slain. Whomever it was, they were ready for anything.

A young man stood atop the stone arch that is before an ancient temple, a breeze ruffling his clothes as it blew by. "It would seem I am not alone." he said, looking out across the sea of sand. He spotted one person tromping through the not quite solid mass, but they were too far for his eyes to declare a definitive stature...

OOC: Okay, so not the best intro in the world, but it gets the job done, no?

I'll fight with my character Asher

Asher had been traveling for days. Less than a week had passed since he had gained some rare power. A power that gave him immunity to the very enemy of vampires, sunlight, but only to an extent. If he let the light touch his skin for too long, all would be lost. So he traveled in cloak, searching the land. However, he no longer endured the wait of darkness. And through this he had been tracking a mortal through the desert, feeding off the energy held within him. He had long since left civilization, and this was his only chance to survive and gain back enough of himself to escape this barren hell. As he approached the remains of a long gone temple, he sensed the uproar of energy in the being. He stood still, sensing the warm life inside of him. He also notice another life force, nearing this place. He disappeared near the ruins, in wait.

OoC: Challenge accepted, KC. Yay! Jason's here, too. *waves at ForeverKnight* Alrighty, on with my intro.

IC:

The wind stirred faintly among the dunes of sand as a young woman named Liya Karonan steathily moved across the great expanse of desert. Tiny grains of sand caught in her shoulder-blade length black hair, and she automatically brushed them away. The last time she'd had some water had been at that Gerudo ecampment a few miles back. Thirst, however, didn't seem to touch her, due to her rigorous training she'd had as a child.

Before her mind had a chance to drift back to days long past, something on the horizon caught her eye. It was a stone structure of sorts in the shape of what appeared to be a woman. What's more, she could pick out two figures already there. One was standing boldly in front of the structure, while the other was attempting to hide near a corner in the small shadows cast by the sun beating down upon the building. Shading her eyes against the glare of the sun off the sands, Liya put aside all stealth and caution and openly strolled toward the temple. Perhaps...one of those figures would be...him. She tried to restrain herself from running to see and continued on.

OOC: It seems the Jason's have flocked to this thread, the second Jason is here to battle! I am fighting with my one and only character, GoldenChaos.

IC: With his new-found power, GoldenChaos entered his second desert. This one was far different than the other one, however. The sand was cool enough to stand on, and it seemed much less trecherous. He waled with a sense of calmness along the grains of sand, but he felt something move near him. With his new tablet power, he raised his hand, and shouted "REVEAL!". What appeared around him was a desert filled with sand scorpions, annoying little enmies that he easily stepped on to kill. He made his way through the desert, and came upon a temple.

He saw that three other people were gathered around the ancient landmark, apparantly waiting for him. But he had never met the before, how could they know he was coming? It mattered not to GoldenChaos, he walked toward them, and met with them. As soon as he said, "Hello," the three attcked him head on. Showing no mercy, they beat him, for no reason whatsoever. But a battle had begun, and one that would be the toughest GC would ever go up against.

OOC: Just as a side note, I was thinking, and if you want to(as the fight progresses) we can move inside the temple. But if you choose to do so, keep it contained to the couple of major rooms. Such as, the entrance room, then maybe take the elevator up and into the main statue room(like the one outside) and no further than the boss room, if even that far, but don't go off into every side room, it IS an ancient temple after all(I.E. blocked passages). Just one little tid bit I wanted to share. Oh yeah, and Jaden's scimitars, are sheathed one on his back, one at his side.

IC: As the the hazy effect of rising heat off of the surface loosed its grip, Jaden could make out a female body moving quickly, yet reservedly towards the temple which he stood before. While the searing heat was doubtless very grievious for her, he had the advantage of his magical heritage. While the temperature around him rose, he remained comfortable, even wearing his armor and black clothing.

When she was yet a good ways off, he called out to her, "Who are you? And what business have you at this sacred place?" he could tell that she had heard his voice, but was not certain if she perceived what was said. When she stood below him, a few paces from the great stone arch, the young woman looked from the shadows cast by the structure, and brushed a loose lock of hair out of her eyes. "I am Liya, nothing more will I tell you as yet."

Jaden scwinted his eyes at this, 'No one is allowed on this hallowed ground without permission or reason.' he thought to himself, recalling words told him by the last Gerudo queen. "You will state your purpose here,..." flipping off of the rock, he landed gracefully behind her and drew one scimitar, Boa, and held the chilled blade at her throat, his arm fully extended. "Or you will suffer the consequences."

Liya smiled, enjoying the cool mist that was emmited by the frozen sword, but soon smacked it to the side with her hand and did a double backflip handspring, in doing so she avoided Jaden's retaliation. When she stood firmly on her feet once more, she then began pulling out knives from the air it seemed, since she was throwing them just as soon as she had them out.

Jaden, blocked three of them with his sword, leaned his shoulder back to dodge another, and finally ducked and then backflipped to avoid the rest. "I give you but this once to leave peacefully, if you refu...." Jaden stopped midway through his sentance, and turned his head around looking in the opposite direction. He could sense magic being used out in the desert, and knew that someone else was coming. As he was looking, he picked up on another being, this one very well concealed to his magical senses, but accidently showing themselves to the naked eye.
"It would seem I am indeed alone no longer." he said, turning around, to find that Liya was no longer standing there, but in truth he was not surprised. He put his sword back in its place, and ran to a convenient hiding place, to lie in wait for whomever was out there.....

Asher knew his chance was nigh, and stalked closer towards the place where the two battling foes had been, avoiding the light as he could. As he neared himself under the withered, stone archway, his hand slipped from under the flowing ends of the cloak. An burning sensation crept up his arm, and into his very heart. It grew stronger as the light shone on his pale flesh. Coming to his senses he jerked his naked hand back into it's place under the cloth. He removed two leather gloves from under the robe, and quickly placed them on. He moved under the arch, resting in the shadows. Instanltly, he sensed the energy of the flowing blood in his nearby enemies. Noticing the emergence of a third being, he watched him trudge through the unforgiving sand, to the temple site.
Focusing all of his mind, Asher began riding the energy being produced by the nearby day-walkers. Something in his mind "clicked" and he began feeding off of their essense. Slowly, but surely he drained a minute amount from each of them, and took it in hungrily. His flesh became luke warm, and then nearly hot, as a rosy color enveloped his flesh. With his vigor restored he could compose his power enough to fend off the sun and then combat these threats. His pupils dissappeared in the blue ocean of his eyes. He located his nearest hiding opponent by their emmission of their aura. He dissappeared in the shadows and reappeared behind the resting girl. Her falcon nestled upon her shoulder instantly caught his movement. It let out a scream and the alerted girl who gasped in confusion. Regaining her composure, she darted from the rubble she hid in, and ran into the light.
Amused, Asher glided behind her, dodging her blows. He caught her with his right fist and sent her flying into the sand dunes. He was quickly upon her, brandishing his sword over her chest. He rose it high in the air, and it flickered blue in light. He thrust it down with the force of boulder towards the girls neck. She knocked it astray with a slight flick of her dagger, sending it into the sand. She kicked Asher back, knocking him down unawares. He hissed at her, showing fangs, and the lap of his tongue. She screamed in digust, "What are you?".

Asher glided back up from the ground, and smiled sweetly, "
My dear, I am a very powerful vampire. And I don't like lying on the ground. "

Asher dusted the sand out his face, and in that instant she was gone. However he could still feel her heart beat. And among her's, the other's. He moved back into the shadows of the rubble waiting.

Liya stared up into the sky at the wheeling speck that was Kryanak. Thank you for warning me.

Kryanak answered. It was nothing. Just be more careful of that foul creature.

Liya nodded slightly, gripped two of her daggers tightly in her hands, and stalked over to where her first assailant crouched in the shadows, his eyes focused on the approaching figure across the golden sands. Completely unaware of her presence, Jaden jumped visibly when Liya lightly tapped him on his right shoulder with one of her daggers.

She brushed a strand of her raven black hair out of her eyes while smiling at the surprised warrior. "You didn't think I could forget about you, did you?" With the tip of her dagger, she tapped the underside of Jaden's chin. "Come on. The dance of death awaits."

With a fierce light blazing in his mismatched eyes, Jaden raised his sword invitingly. Liya sheathed her daggers back inside her clothing somewhere and drew her rapier, taking up a fighting stance. Jaden flashed an eager grin and lunged forward, sword seeking Liya's heart. Knowing that her rapier could not withstand the force of Jaden's blow, Liya dove aside, rolling on the sand, and came up, stabbing her weapon into Jaden's left calf.

Wincing against the pain, Jaden whirled swiftly, sword flashing in the radiant sunlight, and sliced a gash into Liya's upper left arm. Liya couldn't stop the curse flowing from her lips, but thinking quickly, she grabbed sand and threw it into Jaden's eyes. Rubbing vigorously, Jaden was unable to clear his vision before Liya kicked him in the stomach, sending him reeling into the shadows right on top of the vampire.

OOC: Word of note, GoldenChaos will not be joining us further, I will take care of his character. But a spot is now open, someone new may join since we've not gone that far in this battle. If you think you can write with us three, then you're more than welcome to join up. Oh and Asp is the fire sword, Boa is the ice sword.

IC: Jaden quickly put the distance of a few paces between he and the Vampire, holding his swords up in defence. He soon noticed the slight paleness of the man's skin, and also the oddly shaped teeth in his mouth, with a quick glance to check Liya's position, he asked the man, "What manner of beast are you? What is thy name?"

"For your sake, know that I am Asher, also know that I am a vampire, you would be wise to leave me be." Asher said, remaining hidden in his cloak.

"I'll not let you be as long as you disgrace these holy grounds with your stench!" Jaden shouted, and lunged forward, Asp striking for the presumed heart, and Boa ready to attack or defend as its wielder saw fit.

As the flaming scimitar neared its intended target, Asher drew his long sword, and deflected the blow, only to be forced to duck that he might avoid the other. As the two fought with one another, Liya came up from behind and caught Jaden by surprise once again. She quickly pierced his side with her sword, but withdrew it before he broke it in half with his mighty blades.

Jaden was becoming sick of the seeming double team he was receiving, and in a back handspring roll, he was soon facing Liya. While he had turned himself around, he had sheathed Boa at his side, and with his free arm, latched onto Liya's neck, and threw her at the awaiting vampire. Asher did not appreciate people being thrown into him, and almost effortlessly, jumped to avoid the flying girl. With nothing left but a rockside to impede her flight, she slammed into the wall.

While the three dueled with one another, another person entered the battle. A young man, younger than all the rest, carrying a sword, stood before them.

"Hello" he said, but the rest were apparently too busy with their own battle to want a fourth contender. So they turned on him. Jaden was closest, and running up he shouted, "Leave immediately, you don't belong here!" he then jumped over the boy and kicked him in the back, sending him sprawling into their midst.

Liya was getting up from her encounter with the stone surface as the young lad was shoved her way. However, she did not see him, only noticed him nearby, and thinking him to be one of the other two, she made a small wound with her rapier in his back, and then followed it up with a kick to his head, the force of which shoved him out into the vampire's waiting hands.

"Leave this place child, it is not a playground." Asher said, and then tossed the teen aside.

"I'm not some kid, hey, let go!" he pleaded as Jaden grapped him from behind, not suffering the young man any means of squirming out. "You do not belong here, but I shall grant you this one chance to leave." Jaden whispered in his ears, "You may take it, or I will kill you now, decide."

Without any need for further contemplation, he nodded and ran off as Jaden let go of him. "A wise choice. However, you two will not be so fortunate." Jaden said turning back to face the other two, and drawing his swords. "Ring of Fire!" Within mere seconds of its mention, a literal blazing inferno surrounded the three fighters. Asher tried to hide his well founded fear, as fire was very harmful to vampires. Liya wasn't afraid, but also did not like being trapped like an animal. She stood up straight, in her fighting stance, and walked towards Jaden, rapier pointed for his throat. Asher held his long sword close, prefering to wait for the encompassing danger to subside.

The fire ring lept high into the blazing hot air, as the sun beamed down upon the three combatants. Seeing the danger in his whirling cloak, Asher gathered all his strength, and tore it off, allowing the sunlight to caress his skin, along with the heat of the fire around him, he feld human again, for a moment, but it lasted not long, fore the entirity of his humanity had long since passed. The other two warriors looked at him in wonder. His shirt was torn, he hadn't had a replacement since his last encounter at a city. Blood stains were on the shirt, dried and the blood a dark crimson. The shirt was unbuttoned almost, with it hanging closed by two fastens. The "V" created by the shirt showed off his pale chest, and the crossed-shaped scar was in plane sight among the center of his chest. His body was glowing with his undead energy, giving his skin a luminescent presence, even among the bright light of the blazing sun overhead.

"It has been long, since I've been able to enjoy the day. To bask in the son's warmth. It was a pleasure of mine as a human, and hard to compare to as the dead."

Asher centered his attention on his nearest foe, Liya. He stalked near her, making no sound, however her gaze had never left him. He held his sword beside him, and sent his energy riding into Liya. She gasped, and moved back, her bird ever present beside her. He lifted his palm, and Liya came off the ground and hovered in front of him. Her bird shrieked and fell upon Asher. It toar at him, tearing at his skin, and ripping out bits of flesh, but proved to be of no avail. The skin instantly healed, and the flesh returning anew. He wispered to her, allowing only a breathe of air between their faces,

"You search for someone? Who? I can't seem to delve deeper into your thoughts."

Half-annoyed, Jaden approached the two, holding out his blistering cold sword,
"I will not let you two dishonor this holy site.

Asher's voice rang in Jaden't head, "Do not disturb me mortal."

Asher thrust out his hand, sword clasped in it. The gesture sent Jaden flying out of the ring of fire, catching the ends of his garments aflame. Asher looked back to Liya, still clutched in his miraculous grasp. But she had hold of a knife, and staggerdly cut Asher along his neck. He instantly released her, and she went running. The wound healed instantly, but the pain of the cut lingered, a slight silver content in the blade, hand nearly burned his flesh. He rose from his knees, and stalked towards Liya. With a wave of his hand, the fire dispersed, and he drew his sword. He came upon her, striking at her torso. At the same instant, Jaden leapt in, knocking the confused Liya out of the way, and took the blow with his sword. The ebony gem in Asher's sword came to life, swirling with a white haze. Instantly Jaden's arm hurt. His muscles tensed, but he fought it, and kept the sword at bay. Asher noticed the fatigue, and pain in the man's eyes,

"So, you feel the effects of my sword. The power it has comes from the gem embedded in it. And in the gem is the remains of a very powerful vampire, a lord among our kind. I sley him in a duel. However, I have yet to see the full effects of the gem's power."

Asher thrust the man away, and he landed beside Liya.

OoC: Been asked to jump in this fight, so jump in I shall. ^_^

IC: The sun continued to beat down on the desert land as it moved across the cloudless sky. The sands that encompassed the entrance of a vast opening soon began to part, revealing the silhouette of what appeared to be a man, draped in a tan hooded cloak. With the hood pulled over this one's face, there was no possibility of knowing exactly who it was.

He trudged through the desert sands, his feet sinking slowly every so often.. one foot after the other.. making his way toward a sound.. the sound of a battle.

His head began to lift as he made his way around a seemingly large boulder, glancing upon those ahead. He continued to walk as he examined each one of them , but as his head turned towards the female he was stopped dead in his tracks. The only thing that moved were the tattered pieces of his cloak, dancing in the wind. But once he noticed one of the others nearing her, his pace returned, each second quickening. Faster and faster, until he became nothing but a blur, moving quickly on the desert floor until he came behind his target. With one quick punch to this one's back with his left, it sent him flying forward, skidding across the entranceway of a temple, and into its front doorway.

As the man pulled his arm back into the cloak, silencing the fire that burned at his arm, he turned his head to the other male, who seemed to be in a fix of his own. He cared not to do anything about him for the meantime and brought his attention to the lady now beside him. His right arm withdrew from his cloak while his hand moved gradually under her chin, holding it up as he looked at her.
"It's been awhile."

Gawking in astonished surprise, Liya gazed into the face staring down at her, and her pulse quickened. Could it really be true? Or was the heat beginning to affect her brain? Slowly, Liya raised her trembling hand to the man’s face and softly stroked his cheek. Realizing she’d been holding her breath, Liya released a sigh, and her lips curved into a smile.

“It really is you. Oh, how I’ve longed for the day when I would see you again, Junai.”

Throwing pretense aside, Junai pulled Liya toward him and enveloped her in an embrace. He took in the smell of her, the sweat, the sand, and even a hint of herbal soap. He just couldn’t get enough of Liya, and he never wanted to let her out of his sight ever again.

Reluctantly, Liya put her hands on Junai’s chest and lightly pushed herself away. Pure ardor radiated from her face as their eyes met. Taking both his hands in hers, she squeezed them gently.

“I wish this moment could last forever, but unfortunately, there are things that need dealing with.” She glanced over in her two opponents’ directions and then looked upward at the wheeling Kryanak as the falcon spoke to her.

I am happy for you, Liya, but you are right. Your reunion will have to wait until all threats are removed. Oh, and let Junai know that I’m glad you two finally found each other.

Liya relayed Kryanak’s message, and Junai smiled up at the falcon just before she emitted a screech of warning.

Jaden had emerged from the temple and appeared very irate. With his sword gripped in his right hand and his mismatched eyes burning, he cut a very intimidating figure. With the initial shock of Junai’s appearance gone, Liya could focus on the task at hand. With her rapier in hand, she smile and nodded once at Junai before turning to face the Gerudo warrior.

OOC: Hmmm, I hope this goes well. By the way, that's an awsome new sig and avy LEA.

IC: With his blades drawn, Jaden came back out of the temple, angered by the sneak attack from this new warrior. But once he had focused on him, his eyes widened and he clenched his swords tighter. "You disgrace these hallowed grounds with thy presence!" Jaden shouted at the cloaked man who had struck him, while he usually could discern most men, this one was an enigma to him. Not much unlike the vampire, but something more, his aura was a most foul thing. "I've given you chance to leave, now I will no longer extend that favor!" he shouted, and grabbing the peculiar trinket from his neck, locked his blades together, forming a large swallow like weapon.

Dashing forward, he met Liya before she could dodge him, slashing a cut on her arm, and again on her leg. She however did recover in time to thrust her rapier into his leg, drawing more blood from his body. While she was crouched though, he swiftly kicked her over and spun around to attack the man in the cloak.

When the ice side of his weapon was about to dig into the mysterious foe, a katana blade blocked the attack, almost effortlessly it seemed. He then spun around and landed another punch into Jaden's stomach, sending him flying back into the temple entrance, where he crashed into the short stair case inside. He quickly got back to his feet and unlocked his blades, prefering to have them seperate for this time. He was just about ready to run out when Liya walked in and leaned her rapier upon her shoulder. "Wow, nice place." she said looking around at the architecture.

"You will die for your mockery." he said, leaping into the air, both blades behind his back, coming forward, with great force and power.....


OOC: Yeah, that was short, I'm kind of unsure of what to do actually. But I'm sure something will come to me.

Asher neared the hussle at the entrance. He could feel the attraction among the two, Junai and Lyia. Yet, there was another force in the man. Something that felt familiar, but much more twisted. He could feel real evil emitting from the man, like a ocean waves lapping out onto the beach. He glided through the sandy ruins, merely moving along the edges of the burning ground.
He neared the group, and he could feel the sensation from the man growing stronger. Something lingered inside the man, a darker force slid under the skin and ravaged through the body. Intrigued, Asher approached the pair, just inside the great temple. Jaden lay on his backside, staring sternly at the man. Asher slid on the outside of the temple. The hawk, belonging to the girl, perched upon her shoulder. Silently Asher grabbed, barely crossing the threshold of the ruins. Liya jerked back leading Junai's attention with her's. Asher spoke to the enraged girl

"Invite me in."

"What?"

"Invite me into this old sanctum, or I shall leave this place, taking the bird with me."

Junai gleamed at Asher, almost in a snarling glance. Asher could see the darkness sliding behing the man's eyes, a beast of some sort. Liya touched Junai's arm, and the tension released. She turned toward Asher and motioned him forward.

"I invite you in, vampire."

Asher slid into the building. He moved in a blur of motion, dodging the near blow from Junai, letting the bird fly to its master in the same instant. The place reaked of holyness, however the faith in it had lost been lost. He leaned against an ancient pillar, gazing throughout the huge sanctum. He looked upon the ancient walls, wondering how much force could send them crumbling. The group was in a huge hall, several branches of hallways lead deeper into the ruins. Dust had settled on every crook and cranny, dust and sand. Asher look over to Junai, Jaden facing him, standing with his sword at his side. Asher spoke to Junai, a look of pleasure and confidence on his face, and the same mingled in his voice,

"Does the girl know what you are? Does anyone know what you are?"

Junai moved his head slightly to one side and gazed at the vampire. The way those words came out of his mouth...Junai knew he was a little overconfident about it. His head bent down and he let out a short laugh before he raised it again to reply.
"In time...all know what I truly am...it is inevitable in battle. Only few have accepted it."
Junai stretched his right arm out from the cloak and grasped onto its collar. With one quick pull, he tore it from his body and tossed it to away to his right. He grabbed the hilt of his katana in his left, but proceeded not to take it out of its sheath. Junai looked around a little, observing his surroundings. Where most seemed to lay in ruin, there were others that possessed their old beauty. His eyes stopped at the serpant statue, scripture strewn on its belly...but it was far too worn and what little he could see, he couldn't make out.

As he turned his head to the young man near the stairway he could see this one wasted no time in returning to the battle, his target set at Liya. Junai watched him leap into the air at her and smirked quickly as his right hand thrust forward at him. A dark flame swirled around it, and soon enough, the warrior, as Junai left him suspended in the air. When the man finally lost the grip on his scimtars, Junai bent the ends of his fingers, sending him crashing through the ceiling. Junai quickly twisted his wrist toward him and clenched his fist before his eyes loomed toward Liya, a faint smile etched across his face.
"That certainly was a nice warm-up."
It was something of an impulse as his hand drew to her cheek when he spoke again.
"Let us finish them quick--"
His hand slipped away from her as he looked up. In that same instant that warrior came crashing through the hole in the ceiling and slammed into the rubble that now lay on the floor. As he managed to push himself up and get to his feet, Junai laughed a little before he returned his attention to the vampire, still nestled against the pillar.
"I believe you shall be the better challange for me."
He walked a few feet towards him, unsheathing his katana with his right, then resting it at his side. Junai's eyes gleamed, smirking as he watched the one before him.

This'll certainly be amusing..

Liya’s were fixed upon the prostrate Jaden who was still lying in a crumpled heap in the middle of the cool, stone floor. Without taking her eyes from the warrior, Liya whispered in a voice audible only to her own ears.

“Yes, let’s finish them quickly.”

Jaden stirred on the floor and slowly pushed himself to his feet, rage flashing in his eyes. With both of his weapons in hand, Jaden swiftly scanned the room, noting everyone’s position until his eyes fell on Liya. Scowling, he brandished his swords in her direction, attempting to intimidate her, but this worked about as well as trying to make a boulder fly.

“So, you choose to stay and face my wrath, woman? There will be no mercy for your transgression.”

Liya smirked and took on a sarcastic tone. “Oh, there won’t be? Oh, no. Whatever am I going to do?”

With a cry of outrage, Jaden leapt forward, swords whirling in his hands, but Liya easily dodged the blow. Jaden’s back was now exposed, and Kryanak lifted off Liya’s shoulder to slash cruelly with her talons, taking advantage of the opening. Jaden was quick to retaliate; he spun on his heel, slicing the tip of one of Kryanak’s pinion feathers. Liya shouted at her falcon companion.

“Kryanak! Get out of this! I’ll call if I need you.”

I am only trying to help. Kryanak responded in a hurt tone.

Before Liya could soothe her falcon’s pride, Jaden dove in at her side. With the stout end of her rapier, Liya knocked the blow aside. Flourishing a knife, Liya lunged at Jaden and stabbed him deep in his right shoulder. Leaving her weapon embedded in his flesh, she hopped backward to catch a breather. She glanced upward to find Kryanak nestled in a remote corner of the ceiling, safely out of harm’s way. Turning her attention back to Jaden, Liya noticed that he was pulling her dagger out of his shoulder and attempting to staunch the flow of blood. A grin spread across her face.

“Come on, now. I’m sure you can do better than that.”

As Jaden grasped the bloody knife in his hand he stared angrily at his opponent.

"Come on, now. I'm sure you can do better than that." she said, teasing him, and trying to wound not only his body, but also his pride. "Oh yes woman, I surely can." he said running straight at her, but by his movements decieved her. He appeared as though he would slash downward at her, so she prepared herself for the attack. As he came, he stopped just feet in front of her and stabbed his swords into the ground. Using them for balance, he layed his body horizontal, avoiding Liya's rapier strike, and using both legs he kicked her in the stomach, sending her outside.

He stood and grabbed his swords out of the ground and turned to the other foes, "I'll deal with you abominations later." he said while rushing out, the one who had caused him great pain was about to follow after him, until a voice from behind reminded him that he had a prior engagement.

Rushing outside, Jaden looked around, she wasn't here, but he could see a small drop of her blood from some wound of hers. A single feather slowly floated back and forth, landing in his hand, he looked up just in time to flip back out of the way of Liya who had been flying in the air by aid of her bird. She came at him with her rapier already in position. Stabbing for his heart, he easily brushed the sword aside and using his swords hilt, punched her in the throat, knocking the wind out of her and forcing her to push back. He continued pressing upon her, with both swords slashing at her. She managed to dodge most of the strikes, but one left a small cut on her fore arm, and another cut across her thigh. After swinging both his swords from the same direction and missing, Liya took the opportunity to run forward, use Jaden's knee as a stepping spot, jumping up into the air, and striking him across the face with her knee. She rolled to the ground once down, and stood up tall, rapier held out for the fight.

With a grunt of pain, Jaden rose to his feet, one eye burning with rage, the other cooly planning his next move. He approached her slowly, and when he was sure he was close enough, he raised his hands and looked towards the sky crying out, "Ice Wall!"

Before she could move out of the way, a large cube of ice formed around them, trapping them both inside. Jaden put away Asp, as it would burn the cube down sooner than he wished. Holding Boa confidently, he spoke only loud enough for her to hear him, "Your move."


OOC: Somehow I get the feeling Jaden doesn't stand a chance of winning this thing..... not with Junai anyway....

Nestling among the oldened pillars, Asher watched the man and woman continue the battle outside. He remained alone with the other, Junai; tension building in the air. Asher could feel the power surging just under the man's skin. He had figured out who he was, a demon or something like it. He had felt this kind of aura once before, while fighting in the old days with the council. They had slain one such demon who had invaded their lands, and commenced destroying their people, and everything else; it was bad for business.

He watched Junai, noticing the how comfortable the man was with his sword. From years of experience he had discovered that many whom he had fought carried around their arms like new toy soldiers, stiff and awkwardly. Asher removed the top of his cloak, letting it drop to his waist and exposing his head and torso. He shook his head, his silky black hair falling around his neck and curling over his shoulders. He smiled and laughed at the opposing force. Letting his energy pour over the man and embracing the returning favor.

Asher moved away from the wall, and paced sideways in a strafing like manner. He neared the Junai, his back facing the doorway Jaden and Liya had went out of.

"So, Junai, you search for something. A prey of some sort?"

Junai looked at him, minutely puzzled, but at the same time amused.

"Ah. Do not tell me you do not know what I can do. You being what you are, you and I are a sort of cousin." Asher laughed, enveloping the room with his voice, filling it until the air seemed to freeze. Junai straightened, and Asher could feel Junai lock him out of his mind; setting up invisible barriers to Asher.

"You are quite powerful my friend, quite indeed. To fight now would ruin my amusement, yet it might prove entertaining. However from what I can sense, we would wound each other much before the end. Hmm...."

Junai smiled, and gripped his katana tighter. Asher could feel the steadying of his energy, and the focus of his mind. Asher readied himself, brandishing his sword, the blade ablaze with it's blue ethereal glow. Even in the lighted hall, it glowed bright and firm. The gem on the hilt swirling in delight.

**Sorry it's short**

"You are quite powerful my friend, quite indeed. To fight now would ruin my amusement, yet it might prove entertaining. However from what I can sense, we would wound each other much before the end. Hmm...."

As Junai gripped onto the hilt of his katana tighter, he knew these words were true, but he knew if he didn't face this one now, the vampire would take his chances with Liya. It was just a feeling of his. He hadn't a clue what would happen if something happened to her, and what little rage he started to feel just thinking about it he calmly let subside.

With his hand still on the hilt of his katana, he tilted it about forty-five degrees in its sheath, then slid his right foot back a little, cocking it almost parallel to his body. With his eyes stern, he glanced over this one's sword. Junai could feel something seeping through it, an essence of some sort, like some unbelieveable power...and it intrigued him even more.
"You certainly have a point, but whatever I find most entertaining is what I always wish to go for first. I hate to deal with the runts. It's a waste of my time...and theirs."
Junai lowered his eyelids a little more, almost as if he was squinting and looked at the vampire before him. Almost enough it was as if he was looking straight through him. Junai clicked the blade inside the sheathe a few times, then pulled it out quickly with his left, sliding it across his face, then grasping the hilt with his right. He opened the palm of his left and slid it all the way down to the tip of the blade.
"So then..."
His left arm when back to his side as he gripped onto the hilt tighter in his right.
"You willing to fight me now?.. or shall we save this for later.."

Liya gritted her teeth and glanced everywhere, stalling for time. So, the man wanted to bring magic into this did he? Well, she could rise to the challenge. Smirking, she sheathed her rapier, trading it for two of her knives.

"Come on, element boy. Bring it on."

Growling something under his breath about arrogant women, Jaden lunged forward, ice sword whirling in his hand. Liya dodged to the side easily, and Jaden slammed into the wall of ice hard. Taking advantage of his brief moment of incapacitation, Liya linked with Kryanak and spun a web of Wind energy, temporarily trapping the gerudo warrior against his own ice.

With time available now, Liya channeled more Wind energy and formed something resembling a spear. Concentrating all of her strength into it, she rammed her Wind weapon into the ice. To her surprise, there was not even a scratch left from the bombardment.

Cursing under her breath, Liya's mind raced for a way to break free of this frigid prison. Her eyes fell on Jaden's other sword which was sheathed at his side. Grinning, Liya used a gust of Wind to rip the blade out of its casing and stab it into the ice barrier. To her satisfaction and Jaden' dismay, the ice melted rapidly, exposing both of the warrior's to the desert air.

Releasing Jaden from the entangling tendrils of Wind energy, Liya sheathed her daggers back within her clothing and stared across at the warrior as he fixed her with his angry stare.

"You're definitely going to have to do better than that."

OOC: Sorry, it's not that great. I didn't have a lot of time to write.

Asher laughed at the remark of the man. He looked on to the doorway, still feeling the power expressed beyond them, their blood and life flowing outside the door. He pushed away this thought and settled on the enemy at hand. "A demon", he mused to himself. He knew what power the man had, and that the battle would be long and hard. This interested him more than anything. Such a challenge was rare to Asher now. Long ago he had been challenged much, and he had almost been slain many times. The rush of near death enthralled him, and now he could experience the feeling again.

A slight breeze forced itself into the small doorway, and almost completely dispersed into the giant cavern-like room. Asher adjusted his cloak at his waist and unsheathed his blade. He held it up and the power poured out of it. Asher laughed, almost surprisedly, at the blade, and spoke outwards to Junai,

"The sword, it wants you, demon. To cut your flesh, and taste your blood. The latter part wouldn't be that bad at all."

The ebony gem on the sword hilt swirled with delight. A blue ethereal light encompassed the sword, and it flowed unto Asher. His eyes followed suit and they went blurry with swirling blues and blacks. The sword convulsed the glow strengthened. Asher look in astonishment,

"I have no knowledge of what's going on, but this shall be interesting. Yes demon, the sword wants your blood, and I need it as well."
