Battle in the Void (random)

OOC: Okay, well, this is a fight between me and anyone. Basically, this is going to take place in a room full of many secrets and surprises, and you can find those out on your own. Anyone who wishes to challenge me can, and I will start off.

IC:The sun began to rise on a dimly lit room. The room had been stored away in the ancient chamber for centuries, untouched by time or man. But one would come to face a historic battle between the very walls of such a room… such a room as to twist the very minds of the occupant. Toy with the senses and drive a man mad. But this would not be for a while…

GoldenChaos strode along the side of a thin dirt road in the middle of the countryside, not a person in sight for miles. The road led to a small mountain village that held the next clue to get to where he was headed, and hidden there was the supposed to be the next tablet he had heard so much of. He had already received one of these ancient symbols from a creature by the name of Shien, and it had given him an important ability to get through a treacherous desert alive and well. But now, far from that desert, he was in search for the next Tablet. He did not know what power it brought, but he knew it was powerful, much like that last one. He was about to get his wish.

He felt the ground beneath him tremble, back and fourth, and it split in half. He took out his hover jade and lifted himself before any damage could be done to him, but to no avail. The rift pulled him in, deep into the crust of the planet, into an ancient shrine that seemed to wrap around him as he flew down the path to nothingness. He landed in a small, dimply lit cube shaped room; on the walls were ancient Egyptian writings and pictures. The room moved around him, so it seemed. He turned his head around when he felt someone, or something, breathing down his neck. It spoke gently to him, with a deadly tone.

“I have been waiting for you.”

ooc: Btw, you do realize that a 14 year old lemurian would only be about…umm…1 years old because lemurians age veeeerrrrryyyy slowly…anyway…

GoldenChaos whirled around to see a demon facing him. “I have been waiting for you” he repeated. “My name is Kai, I have heard of the great adept that calls himself GoldenChaos.” GoldenChaos stares blankly into Kai’s eyes, clearly befuddled. “I’m sorry, but you go no further. You die here GoldenChaos the adept!” Kai said cockily.

GoldenChaos swiftly pulled out a staff, and got into his battle stance, challenging Kai. “Bring it on!” he said confidently. Kai looked down at the floor of the temple, and slowly drew his’ demonic broadsword. GoldenChaos seemed transfixed on the blade. It was six feet long and a dark sliver color. The awesome blade ended in a hilt made of a black metal, with a red gem in the shape of an eye. “Pretentious, overconfident fool” Kai sneered at GoldenChaos. “See if you can match the might of the demons”

Suddenly, Kai charged forward, and quickly swung his massive broadsword at GoldenChaos, who met the blade in midair with his staff. The battle had begun…….

OOC: Yes, I know about Lemurians. But Lemurians only don't age when they are in Lemuria, which is why Lunpa was able to live do long. My character has Lemurian ancestry, and it says that in the bio... "His families were descendants of the ancient Lemurian race, and so were skilled in the area of alchemy." There you go, he ages normally.

IC: Just the sheer force of the impact between the blade and the staff cause a small earthquake in the ground beneath them. They both fell to the ground at the same time, standing and staring in unicen.

“You can’t beat me, I am darkness… I am death. You can’t live against death.”

“Just watch me,” GC retaliated, and threw his staff forward, into Kai’s spiked armor. The armor did not shatter, nor crack. A spike chipped, but that was all. The staff made its way back to GoldenChaos. He stood, nearly paralyzed, and charged.

“Foolish Lemurian… let me show you what a true fighter is made of!” They faced each other in midair, and struck, one blow after another, staff to blade, fist to knee, over and over. The two were so evenly matched; the fight seemed to beg to go on for centuries. But it would not. The demonic Hylian called upon the room, and moved it. Parts of the room came out of the wall, and homed on the young Adept. He tried to dodge, but as the antique particles of stone hurtled at him, Kai commanded the walls itself to slam in on GoldenChaos. His Asura’s armor protected him, but he was injured near the leg. The armor slowly began to heal the leg, but it was almost unnoticeable how slowly it healed.

Kai commanded the walls of the chamber to secede back to whence they came. With the room in it’s normal state again, Kai held his dark silver blade out at GC, nearly touching the area under his chin. The red eye on the hilt of the sword glowed and gave an evil eerie look, it almost seemed to move. Kai’s eyes turned as red as the jewel on his sword.

“Leave, this tablet was not meant for the likes of you.”

ooc: ok, thanks for clearing that up, I was just wondering about his age

ic: GoldenChaos responded confidently “I believe it was meant for me.” Kai brought his blade closer and closer to GoldenChao’s neck. He nicked the flesh of the young adept’s neck, and a drop of blood splattered on the floor. “You are a fool then” the demon said to GoldenChaos, who wiped the blood from his neck with his hand, then suddenly knocked Kai’s broadsword back with all his might...Kai lost balance and fell to the temple floor for a second.

GoldenChaos would not strike an opponent while he was down…not even a demon. And a second later, Kai was back on his feet, broadsword in hand. The demon smirked. “Why did you not take advantage of my blunder.” He asked the young Lemurian. “I-I cannot strike a foe when he is down.” Golden Chaos hesitated. “Unlike you foul creature, I fight with honor!”

Kai started laughing. “Heh” he said. “Honor, I have heard of it before.” GoldenChaos looked at Kai suspiciously. “It is not noble of you, it is foolish! It is a weakness!” Kai said. “I have seen many great heroes meet their demise because of it.” GoldenChaos was speechless.

“Now, En garde!”

The two warriors clashed weapons again for a second and Kai spoke again to the young Lemurian. “You must overcome your weaknesses, you must rise above them to amount to anything.”

Kai again called upon the room. The wall in back of GoldenChaos suddenly darted forward, and then stopped, inches from his back. “You are so predictable” Kai sneered.

Suddenly, the walls all shattered into many pieces and all at once, and then flew at GoldenChaos. He blocked and dodged many of them, but one hit him in the shoulder, tearing a section of his armor clean off. GoldenChaos screamed in pain, and another hit him in the leg. His armor was slightly broken, but he was alright.

The pieces of the wall cleared, and the two weren’t in a room anymore. They were standing in the middle of a clearing in a deep, vast forest. Birds were chirping all around them, and the wind whistled high in the canopy of the trees.

”Your move” Kai said with a smirk.

OOC: I am starting to like this... it is getting interesting.

IC:“What did you just do? What happened to the room?”

“We are still in the room. I merely changed it. Now, as I said your move.”

“Very well than,” GoldenChaos prepared his staff, tapped it on the ground a few times, just to make sure this was no trick. When he was sure the ground was real, he swung his staff hard at Kai, who was knocked back, but instead of screaming in apin like most of GC’s foes would have, Kai lifted himself up with a smirk on his face, that same smirk that he had showed when he cleared the room.

GoldenChaos waited for him to see what he was doing, he held on to the broken part of his arm, and called upon his Asura’s Armor to heal it slowly. It felt slightly better.

“Are you finished? Or would you like to take another swing at me?”

“I will keep on hitting you until you are dead, Kai. Hand me the tablet, and I won’t kill you. I know what you have done, you can’t hide from me anymore…”

“What are you talking about? I hide nothing from you.”

“I can read your mind, Kai. Now do not hold back on me. Show me your full power.”

“Fool, it is not something an amateur like you can even begin to comprehend, but on your request…” Kai’s lifted his arms halfway into the air, and his from began to change. His eyes glowed a deep blood red, and his back began to change. Out of his back, gigantic wings spread themselves out over the clearing in the small forest. “Now, who shall make the first move?”

“You can. Give me your best.”

“GoldenChaos, such a foolish adept you are…Very well than, you are about to experience true pain. Prepare yourself; I will give you five seconds. One…” As Kai began to count to five, GoldenChaos slipped his hand in his pocket, and pulled out a small yellow ring. “Two… three… four…” GC did one last move before five, he ran, he ran completely around to the back of the demon, and tapped Kai on the edge of his right wing with his staff. Kai turned his head around to face GC. “FIVE!!” Kai screeched the number in a bat-like tone, and held a fireball in his arm. He shot it at GoldenChaos, who dodged the blast with ease.

“You’ll have to do better than that to beat me!” Kai once again flew straight at GC, his wings spread out to their entire sixteen feet. With a mighty blast, he shot a cyclone of flames out of his mouth. GoldenChaos reached for the yellow ring he had pulled out of his pocket.

“Good thing I always keep a spare… oil drop!” He thrust the yellow drop at the insane pyro, and the fire grew, it grew all the way until it hit Kai’s mouth, and he burnt all the way to the ground. The demon Hylian lay near unconscious, and the room shifted again. It changed back to its normal form, and a small tablet appeared under an ancient drawing of the same tablet. While the demon lay at rest, he walked over and placed his hand on the tablet. A surge of light swirled around him, and a new power arose. He had received the power to see things his normal eyes could not, the power of Reveal.

But his excitement was soon ended. Kai’s body began to shift around, and he found his way up.

“You may have gotten the power of the tablet… but you will not be leaving here alive with it.”

Kai rose to his feet. Surprisingly, he was barely injured. “Ha, foolish GoldenChaos, you think that fire can hurt me?” GoldenChaos was astonished that the demon had risen again. He stretched his bat wings to their limit and gazed at GoldenChaos with flaming red eyes. His teeth became fangs and he sneered at the trembling adept “You don’t know the meaning of true power. I am true almighty darkness, you will not leave alive!” Kai bellowed at the top of his lungs. GoldenChaos was knocked back by the sheer intensity of his voice.

“I must congratulate you, however.” The demon took to the sky. “You see, you are the first one to make it this far, no one has ever retrieved the tablet before. “However, you will not leave alive!” he repeated again, and the demon’s blood boiled with rage.

Kai rose higher and higher, and the room was gone…or lost. All became foggy and GoldenChaos lost all sense of direction…and his foe.

Suddenly, as quickly as the fog came, it was gone. The young adept stood on a mountainous hill. He didn’t know it, but he was standing on an active volcano, in fact, a series of volcanoes. However, he did not realize this yet, and frantically scanned the skies for any sign of Kai.

Without warning, a massive, blazing fire bird came from the sky and dove right into GoldenChaos, burning him from the inside out. The phoenix seemed to smile, and then gracefully perched right next to the adept as he rolled around madly trying to get the flames off of him. The phoenix transfigured itself back into the shape of Kai and he stood over the blazing form of GoldenChaos, smirking as always. “Heh, how do you like my phoenix summon?” the demon asked the near dead adept. GoldenChaos managed to put out the fire surrounding him, although he was burned badly, and weakly rose to his feet. “Well” Kai said “I’d love to stick around, but unfortunately, I have other plans.” With that, the demon took to the sky again, leaving GoldenChaos standing there. Suddenly, the volcano erupted just inches from GoldenChaos’ face, singeing his hair slightly. He jumped back in shock, and ran for his life as magma flowed down the mountain. GoldenChaos began to tire, and suddenly tripped over a rock, and the lava overtook him, he felt it flowing over his body, yet he was unharmed.

And Kai was standing over him, looking confident with his usual smirk. They were back in the room with the hieroglyphs…

OOC: Sorry for the delay in the reply... been tied up with a lot of battles, I have I think 3 at the moment. Oh well, here is my part:

IC:“Stop playing with me, Kai. Attack, and stay in the room. You needn’t run every time you attack, if you are as powerful as you say you are. And I am sure you don’t need wings to fly away from me, if you are as powerful as you say you are,” GoldenChaos made sure he would get the demon where he needed him to be, his proper place in the grave. “I do not have time for your games; we will settle this with brute force and weaponry. Take out your blade,” As GoldenChaos said this, he raised his staff and pointed to the Hylian, who took out his gray steel blade.

“Do you agree no magic? And I will not be using psyenergy.”

“I agree with your silly terms, but attempting to weaken me is useless. I am too powerful for you. This room is connected to my spirit, my soul. I am the room.”

“But how do you control the room, Kai?”

“Using my… oh. Then I disagree with your terms.”

“You can’t, you already agreed. And now I will be attacking you head on, lets see if you can defend yourself.”

GoldenChaos thrust himself forward, and jammed his staff clear into Kai’s mouth, which blew through the back of his head. GC let go of the staff, and watched the gruesome sight of Kai, who now could be seen with the blue stick running through him, a bloody mess. Kai pulled the staff out of his head with both hands, and broke it in half using his knee. He gave the two separate pieces to GoldenChaos, hoping to psyche him out.

“That won’t work, Kai. I have seen your tricks… and the weapon does not make the man,” to prove this, GC started to punch at Kai, who dodged most of them, but on the last blow, GC hit the demon, knocking him back. He ran at him as quick as he could, as began hitting at his stomach and face. When he was finished, the demon Hylian was badly injured, but able to stand. Since the terms were no magic, he could not heal himself. This was not just becoming a fight to the death, but a struggle as well.

occ: Sorry for the big delay, I've been very busy lately...

Blood dripped from the wounded Kai’s mouth. To GoldenChao’s astonishment, he began laughing menacingly. “Heh” Kai said. “That won’t work, Kai” GoldenChaos said confidently. “You will not psyche me out” “Ha, you are so predicable” Kai said mockingly. “All of you are the same, predictable, foolish, honorable, Heh” Kai snorted and wiped a drop of blood from his face. Kai smirked and looked up into the eyes of GoldenChaos.

Suddenly, rain began to pour down on the two warriors. “You broke our agreement” GoldenChaos said through gritted teeth. “No, I didn’t” Kai replied, somewhat surprised. “The room has a mind of its own.” Kai thrust his sword suddenly deep into the chest of GoldenChaos. “Gah” he said as blood spewed from his mouth. “Heh” Kai said with a smirk. “You must be ruthless if you wish to survive…” A clap of thunder from above caused Kai to pause. “Now, young adept, get up and show me your true power!” the demon sneered at GC. GC slowly got up, wiped the blood from his lip, and a broadsword appeared in the middle of the room. “What is-” GoldenChaos started. “Take it” Kai finished. “The room has a mind of its own as I stated before. Its giving you a chance.” Kai laughed and GC slowly stepped toward the blade. His hand grasped the hilt, and pulled it from the ground. There he stood, ready to fight the demonic Hylian with his newly acquired weapon….they stood, glaring at each other, waiting for someone to make a move……….

OOC: Sorry for the VERY long delay of post... but things have not been going so well around here the last few days, plus I have been a little lazy .

IC: But neither of them moved for quite a while, a stare-down, so to speak. Both holding their weapons, still as a brick wall each of them were, simply waiting for another to make their move, to finally strike. GoldenChaos broke the silence, “Yes, I completely agree with you, Kai. I am a foolish, foolish man, to try and stand up to a demon such as you. What kind of insane Adept am I? I must be out of my league,” As GoldenChaos talked he slowly made his way toward the dark Hylian, rain pouring o both of them, drenched. He closed in on the Hylian, and stopped in front of him.

“I like what you’ve done with the place, Kai, but you will not be fooling me anytime soon. I have been in far too many battles to fall for this. I must agree on how foolish I was to even challenge you, though. But… foolish people are normally driven to do some very foolish things…” GoldenChaos’s fingers fiddled with the hilt of the blade that had been given to him from Kai and the room. He became very excited and seemed to be on the break of paranoia, his facial expression told this. His eyes seemed to twitch and his mouth moved back and fourth between bleak smiles. Within the next second, GC thrust the blade into Kai’s chest, near where his heart lay. The demon coughed blood, and the room changed to normal once again. GoldenChaos took the time to meditate for a second and restore some of his power using his armor, and then left in the air with his Hover Jade. He had calmed himself down now, and raised his hand one last time in the air. With the choking Kai lying on the floor below him, he charged an energy blast, made of freezing energy from deep inside himself.

“By the way, thanks for breaking our promise,” And GoldenChaos thrust the frozen sphere at him, and as he did, the balls split into two, then four. Finally, seven frozen sphere came hurtling at the demon, he could not dodge, nor had the energy to do so. The demon was frozen by the first blast, and shattered to pieces by the next. The demon melted away soon after.

As GoldenChaos let himself back down on the floor, the room began to twist around him. The walls faded, revealing the very spot that he had fallen down the break in the planets crust. He walked once again along that path, and he knew that it would be the demons honor to have the broad blade of his own sword lodged into his empty heart for all eternity.

Thank you, I look forward to having another battle with you next time I get to do so, you did a great job as well. Just your character being himself made the story/battle even more interesting than I had ever thought I would have been. Great battle, I hope to do battle again sometime.
