My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

OoC: Alrighty, Mr. Venomous, here it is. I hope you enjoy Viratious' last hurrah.

BiC: As most travelers find themselves doing from time to time, Black Shisho was walking down a path. He admired the surrounding greenery, although there was very little green to speak of. It was the height of fall, and all of the green had already turned to royal reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. The longer he walked on, the thicker the forest became, the more vivid the colors turned. Trees on each side, the tall and the small, were making their inexorable change. Leaves made a thick coat over the ground, though the path was relatively clear.

The pure yellows stuck out in his mind. His whole grasp of color flashed through his conscious. The yellow of an Autumn leaf could stand against any other. It was an uncorrupted hue, the most pure yellow the eye could behold. It could rival the brilliant oranges of a magma flow, the crystalline aquamarines of a tropical tide, or the nostalgic green that swirled in the cauldron his other half once tended to. The color spoke to him, setting his heart aflutter whenever a tree replete in yellow would pass by. They grew higher and higher around him.

The trees were not getting higher. The ground on either side of the path had been steadily rising since before the walking mask could notice. The earth climbed upwards, first likening the path to a creek bed, then a river bed, then a ditch, and then a valley. Gradually, the earthen, mossy, walls began to reveal rock. The vertically faulted rock well complimented the magnificence of the Autumn colors. Layers of grays, browns, and oranges soon became slanted walls as the path became first a fault line, then a ravine, and then a canyon. The walls, though slanted to a degree, grew several times his height.

As far as his shaky memory could tell, that place was a unique sight. Forest paths had, of course, come and gone before, but not many were comparable to the one he walked on. Stone formations so rarely formed the kind of slanted walls that stood over him, and even more rarely in such close proximity. They gave the already crowded forest an even more cramped feel. B. Shisho resisted the urge to climb them. When, eventually, the walls would begin to shrink, he would be more suited to exercise on them rather than observe them. As he walked, looking was just fine.

In the trees above, he could hear an animal approach the edge. A short distance ahead, a tail popped out from the tree line, and hung down the side of the wall. With a graceful kind of agility, the animal suddenly hopped down onto the path. The walking mask was caught off guard by the person he would call an animal that had leapt onto his route. “You’re trapped,” the animal said, not trying to hide the other animal that had approached from behind, “Now surrender your valuables.” Those animals walking as men did not know who they had just angered.

“Just kill me now, and get it over with,” B. Shisho said, after a pause.

The animal in front of him drew a long, straight, sword. The animal’s big finishing more was a simple, brutal, rush. The swords of the animals pierced him straight through both back and front. Their thrusts were halted by the armor of the animal on the opposite side. Hesitating only for a second in which to scoff, he took a hold of both blades with his thumbs and pointers. He slid one sword back and one sword forward. Their plating gave way easily. A second passed, and the animals fell, slaughtered by their own weapons. Scoffing even more intensely, the walking mask unsheathed the swords from his belly.

With a flick of the wrist, Black Shisho tossed the bodies back up the walls. Had he eyes, they would have been glinting. Those two had given him an idea. He would do just as they had. The territory was perfectly suited to such an animalistic scheme. He would lie in wait for an unsuspecting traveler, leap upon them, and avail the person of what they could give him. Perhaps a lovely little lass would pass by. She would be helpless. Perhaps a big bulky brute would pass by. He could give him the fight of the century. There was nothing the walking mask did not like about the idea. All he had to do was wait.

Re: My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

OoC: Wow, I just read this guy's profile...
Wow.
Although, I don't know how we're going to incorporate the kill into the fight, with both Iro and Viratious being mostly energy-based fighters, that would put Shisho at a strong disadvantage, even with his regenerative powers and his song of healing...
What do you think?

BiC:
Viratious was walking along a serene forest path with a new-found friend. His name was Iro, and he seemed like a quiet person. Viratious liked him, though. Soon, they found themselves at a fork in the path.
"Well, which one?" Iro asked. His voice was not quite bass, not quite treble, but almost exactly in the middle. Viratious pointed right, and they headed up the path to a top of the mountain. Viratious really wanted to see the view, and by the expression on his face, he could tell Iro was a little anxious, too.

~~

Iro walked up to the peak of a small mountain with Viratious, one of his friends. They got up to the peak, and stared out for a moment. The place where they were standing was much higher than any other point on the path, and it had a nice view to it.
Viratious playfully shoved Iro, and he started to fall. He took out his staff and shoved it into the mountain, pausing his decent near the bottom. He pulled the staff out of wall of rock and fell to the ground, making a safe landing.
"Get down here!" Iro yelled up at Viratious. Viratious laughed, and quickly scaled down the mountain. Iro could tell that he had practice doing this.
Viratious's decent faltered near the bottom, and he fell headfirst. Iro laughed, knowing that Viratious would be safe in the end. Suddenly, a previously unnoticed being jumped from the ground, grabbed Viratious's leg, and slammed him into the ground. Iro ran towards him, not knowing what would happen next.

~~

Usually, with attacks like this, Viratious barely felt the pain until later. He felt all of it now. Every last bit. The being was laughing. Viratious quickly jumped up from the ground to view his companion running towards the being, which seemed to be a man. Iro held his staff in his right hand and he raised it. Viratious leaped at the man to distract him, hoping Iro could hurt him.

Re: My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

OoC: Hence, the name of the thread. He'll have to seriously push himself to avoid all of those attacks.

BiC: Two boys approached Shisho’s position. Brothers, by the looks of them. One, the younger, was armed with a dangerous looking weapon, a fun looking weapon. Whether the younger was skilled with it or not was subjective. One, the older, was tattooed with numerous runic symbols. What skills the runes imbued on the older was subjective, as well. If certain conditions were met, they could possibly be worthy opponents.

There was only one way to see if they could endure a prolonged incursion.

The two boys leapt from the forested ledge down into the path without noticing him. Perfect. The walking mask approached the edge, and let himself fall forward. As he smacked against the rock, he flung himself down the side, getting behind them faster than they could react. Before the older could make the smallest of defensive efforts, Shisho seized the boy’s wrist. With one motion, the boy was flung overhead, to the ground.

The older was still alive. The walking mask could do nothing but laugh.

The younger, not taken aback in the least, drew his weapon in a flash. With a fluid motion, as beautiful as it was efficient, the younger swung his weapon at the mask’s head. “That was a very impressive move,” Black Shisho said, not sounding like a man who had just caught an axe with his hand. Not bothering to elaborate, he thrust his head forward, harshly smashing into the person in front of him.

Both of the boys fell to the ground, yet they both sprang back up. Now that the surprise was gone, he prepared to distribute his muscle with more intensity.

OoC: Sorry for the continuity problems. I didn't write this immediately after reading your post, so I forgot a few things.

Re: My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

OoC: Sorry for my laziness. I'll post now, mmkay?

BiC:
Viratious's head was aching, but he knew he couldn't give up. He had to protect Iro. He quietly snapped his fingers, and made a small spark near the man. The man didn't notice, because Iro was fighting him. Viratious manipulated the spark, and set the man on fire.

The man quickly dropped to his knees, and screamed. Viratious smiled, but, too soon, he thought. The man soon got up, and started walking toward Viratious. Viratious simply fed more energy into the flame, and the man fell once more, but always got back up. They repeated this process three times, until the man was arm length away from Viratious's neck.

The man clenched down on Viratious's neck, nearly crushing it. He gasped for air, and struggled to live. He was being lifted up from the ground by the man, who was laughing.

~~

Iro stuck his hand out at the man, who was choking his friend. He quickly shot a black ball of dark energy. It hit the man, and fed itself into his body. Iro snapped his fingers, and the ball inside of the man expanded, filling his whole body. He dropped to the ground, screaming. Viratious had escaped his grasp when this happened.

Iro strained his eyes. Something was wrong with the man... Something, odd... He looked, closer, and the-.

"Ugahh-" Iro fell to the ground. He had used up too much energy with that ball spell, he couldn't walk. And it certainly didn't help that he saw Viratious sending the weird man back to him with a blast of fire...

Re: My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

OoC: Sorry if this post seems a little weird. To be honest, you threw me for a loop with your last one. I guess I just didn’t imagine how many different ways the character could be looked at. Oh well, at least I’m getting a chance to write a bout someone who’s fighting whilst on fire.

BiC: Some how, some way, the flames that suddenly leapt upon the walking mask’s body did not melt him down into a puddle of goo the second they engulfed him. Knowing his own limitations, he thought that he was liquid the moment he felt the deep orange reaction strike at his body. But he did not, in fact, melt like he had imagined. It was the worst pain he had ever felt, but he was merely on fire.

And so, they had given him something of an advantage. Now, not only were they were facing, in Black Shisho’s opinion, the most dangerous man that walked the planet, but he was also on fire. Had his hands been a part of him that was on fire, the older boy would have been dead. Unfortunately, the delay left him open to the younger’s attack.

As his innards disintegrated, and his chest cavity swelled, he learned a worse pain than being on fire. That was being inflated by dark magic. His mind blanked from the pain, leaving only the abominable thoughts of the torture in his head. He could only kneel where he was, still burning, letting his insides regenerate. As he filled back in, he regained his sight. He regained it just in time to watch a fireball engulf him.

The walking mask was blown backwards, crashing right into the younger brother, who had fallen to the ground from exhaustion. The younger did, in fact, scream in pain as the body sprawled over him. One, it was on fire, and two, the black slime that leaked from the sizable hole blown through him had been heated to a temperature that scalded the skin.

After crawling out from under man, the younger boy joined the side of the older. Together, they watched the flames on the body gradually change color from orange to purple. The viscous substance that leaked from him produced a different colored flame than his skin did. Gradually, the flames burned away all of the loose slime, turning back to an orange color.

When there were no purple flames left, Black Shisho sat up. His regeneration was complete. After shakily observing the flames that still clung to his skin, he stuttered the phrase, “What am I made of?” He said only that before returning to his feet. That combination of inflation and a fireball had taken almost every ounce of strength he had to give. He could afford NO more hits from his opponents, lest he die.

He said nothing after that. The hatred that he had so quickly developed for those two people burned just as furiously as his body currently did. No more fooling around for the mask that walked like a man. He prepared his limbs for full strength distribution. With every ounce of strength in each individual moment, there was no doubt in his mind that he could trounce the little cads.

Re: My Body's Limit (VenomousNinja)

Viratious and Iro stood side by side, watching the man burn. As the flames changed color and died down, the man had a hard time standing up. Once he did, he had a look of fire in his eyes, a look of hatred and evil. Iro realized he was intent on greatly harming them, if not killing them.

Iro grabbed his staff and ran towards the man, trusting Viratious to know what to do. He quickly pole vaulted and aimed his feet at his strange enemy. The enemy reached out his hand and grabbed Iro's leg, and proceeded to swing him around and throw him straight into the ground. He lifted his leg over Iro's head, and stomped on it.
"Vir... ahh..." Iro fell unconscious with this plea for help.
