A stormy night (random)

ooc: Hi, whoever wants to fight me please stick around for the entire fight, I will be using my character Kai.

It was a cold night outside. A cresent moon and a few stars were all that lit up the night sky. However, this was nothing to Kai. He had been alone for nearly all of his' life, and was ready for anything. Kai's demon senses told him it was about to rain. This meaned little to him, and he continued on. Kai saw clouds rolling in, and it began to sprinkle. A drop of rain fell on his' head. The rain picked up, and soon it became a thunderstorm. Thunder and lightning boomed high up in the sky, as Kai searched for an opponent, anyone to battle. He wanted a challenge. Suddenly, Kai was struck by a bolt of lightning. He fell flat on his' back, got up slowly, and saw a figure coming toward him. Kai said with a smirk "Heh, let them come" and drew his' demonic blade...

OoC: Hmm.. think demon vs. demon will be more interesting here. Need to jump back into battling anyhow.

IC: The rain beat down immensely as Junai made his way down the open path toward a figure ahead of him. Lightning continued to strike down upon the area around each of them, but it was something Junai paid no attention to...for the aura of gods protected him from such elements. One potential reason he was the last one standing in many battles.

As he crept closer to the darkened silhouette ahead, Junai took a firm hold on the hilt of his katana kept in its sheath which danced mildly in the ever hardening wind current. The Ifrit gauntlet on that same arm continued to blaze furiously in the weather condition, which seemed to continue worsening. One weapon he possessed...and many others seemed to want as well. Whether out of greed, power, whatever, it was a wonderful asset nonetheless.

Junai brought himself only several feet away from the one standing before him and slicked the coal black hair from his own eyes. The fire at his side roared in the rain once again and making the aquamarine that encircled his pupils shimmer in the light. Junai stared at the one before him and left a widening smirk on his face.

There sure isn't a point to try reasoning with this one. Just from the looks of him...he wants a fight

Junai lowered his head for a brief moment and let out a soft laugh.

Sure doesn't know what he's getting into though...

He raised his head once more and unsheathed his katana. The demon before him changed his stance a little and glared at Junai. Made no difference to him. He slid it out from its sheath with his left, spun it around once at his side, then jabbed it into the soft earth in front of him. He placed his right palm just above end of the hilt and stared at the one before him.
"So...what are you waiting for?"
One tremendous crack of thunder echoed into their ears as the last of what he said trailed off and with one quick jump of the demon before him, Junai slipped his hand firmly around the hilt, raising it from the ground, and blocking the first attack.

Kai's demonic blade had a mind of its own and could speak. "Kill him my child, experience for you, fresh blood for me." its piercing voice went right through Kai, and he paused for a second. Junai's katana caught him right in the side for his' blunder, and his' demon blood dripped onto the field. "Gah" Kai said in disbelief. "My brother, why are we fighting? We should be working together, us two demons."

Junai considered this for a second, but quickly slashed with his' katana aimed at Kai's throat. Kai was ready for him, and countered the move, and the two demons clashed blades. "I am not attacking you." Junai said. "It was you who engaged me." Kai pushed Junai back, and he fell to the ground.

"Fine, refuse my offer." Kai said to the helpless Junai. "I tried to befriend you, but you leave me no choice. Tiamat, I summon you! A great fire dragon appeared in front of Junai, and he was paralyzed with fear. Tiamat reared back, and let loose a massive ball of flames that hit Junai HARD...

The humongous mass of force slammed into Junai like he was nothing but a blade of grass. It forced him deep into the ground and without a moments notice, exploded, pushing him down hard as he tried forcing it back up with his own power.

He laid there a somewhat banged up, but nothing too severe. As he rose his upper body up, leaning back on his right arm, he began to laugh. It was quiet at first, but once he managed to pull himself up to his feet, it was demonic. It was like this even as he noticed demon looking on to him above, who sped fast after Junai. When he made nothing but a quick sidestep to the left, Kai had missed the target he wanted...but Junai didn't. Using less than a third of his strength, he drove the gauntlet into Kai's lower back. As the spikes slipped in deeper and deeper, the demon screamed in pain. But his screams became even more apparent as Junai lifted him up and flung him off to the left, into the side of this pre-made crater.

Junai was still laughing when he had let go of him and continued on with this until the young one had opened his eyes. With one forceful grunt, Junai tighten the muscles inside of him until a set of wings shot out like darts from behind. They stretched out to the heavens for several moments, then gently folded to his sides as the heavy breathing caused by the effect came to a halt. Kai sat there with one eye still somewhat closed and looked at the figure ahead of him. The blade in his hand quivered immensly and the demon wiped the side of his face of the blood that had accumulated there.
"How is it you were barely affected from my last attack?!"
A shot of lightning slammed into the earth again, only inches from Junai, revealing the slight glow that surrounded him. Junai lowered his head for a moment and let out of soft chuckle. Once he looked up again, the demon's blade was aimed for his head. He batted his wings quickly, flying off to the right of him and out from the crater.

He could feel the coldness of the wind even more on one side of his face. Junai placed his right hand across to his left cheek and passed it over the light of his gauntlet to reveal the crimson stain there. Junai brought his hand back and wiped the residue on the side of his thigh just as Kai had pulled his way out of the crater. Once more, the thunder howled as the demon spoke again.
"Answer me!"
Junai laughed again and shook his head. The rain subsided suddenly as he replied.
"If you know nothing of your opponent, the road to victory trails farther and farther into the distance--"
Another clap of thunder forced him to paused in his speech. As it vanished, he spoke once more, slipping the tip of his blade into the ground below him.
"Even still, a strategy can go a long way."

Kai stared blankly into Junai’s face. “How could a being just like him have so much power?” Kai thought to himself. Junai stood laughing. “You cannot defeat me, fool.” He said in a mocking tone. “I am superior as a demon and as a fighter.” Junai’s wings extended, he flapped them once and took to the sky.

Kai looked befuddled and looked frantically all around for Junai, but the sky was dark, and Junai was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning came crashing down just inches from Kai and he jumped to the side. Seconds later, Junai came down with his’ katana, thrusting the blade deep into Kai’s shoulder. “Aaahhhh” Kai screamed out and blood fell to the grassy field. Junai slowly removed his’ blade, and kicked Kai in the chest, sending him flat on his back into the crater.

Kai lay there for a moment. Junai stood outside the crater, looking down at his’ feeble opponent. “How co-” blood spilled from Kai’s mouth as he spoke. “Be silent my child.” His’ blades haunting voice telepathically spoke to him. “You will not fall this day, embrace the darkness. Become darkness itself and discover the true might of the demons!” Kai did not know what the demon lord meant, but he slowly got up, wiped the blood from his’ face, lifted his broadsword, and glanced down at the red gem on its hilt.

Suddenly, Kai felt empowered. His’ whole body glowed red, and his’ muscles became very tense. Kai fell to his’ knees. Great wings shot from his’ shoulders, spanning as long as the night sky. Kai then got up, and flew out of the crater. He folded his’ new wings to his’ side and said cockily “Bring it on.” Junai’s laughter swiftly turned to astonishment, and he looked down at Kai in disbelief. “So, it looks like we are and even match Kai.” Junai said calmly. Again a bolt of lightning struck and interrupted him. “See if you can keep up with me.” He said, and without another word, darted up into the black sky. Kai stretched his’ newly formed wings, and took to the sky in pursuit of Junai.

As Junai continued to soar into the heights of the heavens, he could feel his opponent gaining on him rather quickly.
"Just a little farther..", he mumbled to himself.
He pushed the limits, ever vigilant in keeping himself away from his persuer until suddenly Junai swung his body forward, turning himself to the enemy only feet away. Then, by thrusting his right arm forward, positioning his palm somewhere around the demon's face..a purple flame began to glow.

It was faint in the beginning, but as soon as Kai had finally caught up with him, it burst violently around his hand. A devilish snear could be seen crossing his face as Junai looked at his opponent, now paralyzed in the same darkened aura that encircled his hand. Faint noises and slight jerks could be seen from Kai, but nothing more for the power held in this attack was all too powerful to be subdued. As Junai raised his hand, Kai slowly rose with it, like a puppet to its strings. And with a simple twist of his wrist Junai had the ability to bring the young one closer to him. When he had finally gotten Kai to a place of his liking, the perculiar sword held by this one had finally been loosened from his grasp.
"That is no ordinary sword.", Junai said, as he watched it fall to the earth, eventually losing sight of it several meters away. Lightning continued to spring from every possible direction, lighting up the sky, and sending part of the field below them aflame. Junai looked down upon this and sighed for a brief moment, then looked back at Kai.

Smirking as always, Junai held him there for a moment longer, then as he quickly balled his hand up in a fist to release the demon, he shot out his left into Kai's chest. It took a few seconds for him to react considering the last attack, but he roared in pain, feeling the intense heat from the spiked gauntlet roar inside of him. Nonetheless, Junai spent no time looking at this reaction. He shoved the demon's body above his head, then with nothing but a quick fling of his arm, sent him flying off the gauntlet, into the shadows of darkness below.

Kai hung in mid air helplessly for a moment before plummeting downward toward the blackened fields below. Junai’s laughter echoed in his’ head, and as he was falling, the demon said with a smirk “You cannot escape your fate, better luck next time, young one.” Wind rushed by Kai’s face, and finally, he hit the ground hard. “Ahh” Kai gasped. He could barely move. His side was bleeding heavily where he had been hit with Junai’s blow. Finally, Kai brought himself to get up. He stood up groggily and frantically searched for where his’ blade had landed. Junai’s dark form appeared through the clouds. “Ha, you are stronger than I thought.” The airborne demon called out to Kai mockingly. Lightning crashed again, causing a pause. “I thought for sure that was the end of you.” “Ha” Kai said weakly. “Demons never give up.” Kai coughed and Junai responded, “Looks like you’re in pretty bad shape.” A bolt of lightning fell from the sky in an instant, right next to Kai, causing him to dive out of the way.

Kai got up again, and looked Junai right in the eyes. “If you think I’m finished, you’ve got another thing coming!” he said angrily. “Whirlwind!” Kai shouted. Suddenly, the lightning storm became even more intense. Trees were ripped right from their roots, and dust started to pick up. A swirling vortex of wind was formed, and flew right at Junai, engulfing him in the rubble. Kai gave a feeble smile, and Junai swirled ever higher into the massive tornado. Suddenly, he reached the top, and was sent sprawling into the ground with great force. “I can take whatever you dish out” Kai said as the storm simmered down to the way it was before. “That’s it, Kaidranis” Kai heard the haunting voice of his’ blade inside his’ head. “Retrieve me, and smite your foe, show him the true glory of the demons!” Its voice rang out.

An object was flying towards Kai at breakneck speed. It stopped just inches from his’ hand, and Kai could see it was his’ beloved broadsword. Kai grasped the hilt once more and the silver blade shinned. “I cannot be lost, I cannot be destroyed.” The blade spoke telepathically. Junai rose, bruised up badly and bleeding openly. “You are worthy, young Kaidranis.” He said through gritted teeth. “Gah, that hurt” Junai said weakly. “It appears we are even now.” Kai said to the hurt demon.

“It would appear so.” Kai repeated. “Unless our strength is renewed…Dark Wave!” A black storm surrounded both demons, and when they reappeared, all their wounds were healed. “This should make this more interesting.” Kai said. “En garde!”

The fact that this demon had no clue as to his strength, made it harder and harder for him to conceal it. It was a point that it became hard to keep this act of his up. Yes, he had been wounded.. but not by the young ones power, it was by the force it had created to send him slamming into the ground. The magic possessed by Kai could not penetrate to his body, and the aura that surrounded it made it so. It was something that gave him more confidence in battles...something, he was grateful the gods gave unto him.

His eyes trailed around Kai's stance, looking for the possible flaws in it that would give him a well-worth opening. Those last words of the demon rang in his head, just as the sound of thunder above them. As Junai raised his right hand to his chest, Kai became uneasy for a brief moment, until he noticed it moved up to his head. Junai slid the blackened locks away from his face once more, then from there, moved that same hand around the back of his head to the hilt of his katana. The hand floated about an inch away, itching to grab hold and thrust out the blade...itching, to get rid of what stood before it.

Kai's demeanor suddenly turned, and when Junai saw him push off his back foot and vanish into the darkness, he knew to be ready. It wasn't a challenge to his own speed, not by a long shot, but he was quick enough for Junai to lose site of him along the way.
"You're really going to have to do much better than this, you know!"
Junai spun around quickly and caught the end of Kai's blade with his. The steel clashed, sending sparks flying into the air, and continued this way until Kai spoke up.
"I will never give up, no matter how many times you throw me into the ground. There's no way you'll win with the strength you possess now."
He placed more pressure onto his blade, enough power to make Junai slowly slide in his footing to the ground. Junai's cold-hearted laugh bursted from his lungs as he pushed down harder on the hilt of his katana.
"You have much to learn...especially about how much power I truly possess. Don't think for a second that just because you have that blade, you'll come out victorious in the end. Also...you forgot one thing."
"And what's that."
Junai smirked as he heard that answer from the demon. With a quick burst of energy to his right hand, he kept the same pressure against Kai's blade as he released his left hand and slammed the gauntlet into the young one's temple lobe. The force of it send him flying off into the field several feet and skidding his body across the ground. Junai made his way to Kai's initial landing and picked him up by his neck with his right hand, choking the young one everso slightly.
"While you may have the sword on your side...the gods, are on mi--"
His eyes grew wide as he felt something pierce into his side, that haunting blade of his had made its way into Junai's body. As he looked up at Kai, he could see a smile draped across his face. Junai squeezed harder on the demon's throat, making him lose the grip on the fabled sword and move his hands to his throat to try and loosen Junai's grip.

This gave Junai the opportunity to grasp onto the hilt of the blade and quickly thrust it out from his side. He growled in pain as the flesh ripped away, providing an open path for his blood to drain profusely. He had enough. There was no more time to play around with this demon any longer. He needed to gain the strength from the demon form he himself possessed.

Junai tossed Kai's blade away, as well as his feeble body, which now gasped for air on the ground. He then started to walk backwards, beating the wings behind him to pull himself into the air a few feet. His breathing pattern was extremely abnormal, but it wouldn't be long before that would change. He tightened the muscles in his body and slowly pulled all of his body into his chest. The heat being given off of his body rose higher and higher until he shot his body out again and roared to the heaveans. His body became darker and darker. The gauntlet of his seemed to melt into his body, as well as the katana fastened to his side. Fire went ablaze on both of his arms as spikes began to protrude immensely after. The coal black hair of his that was slicked back began to spike up again..the rain having no effect on it now. The only part of him that seemed to truly stay from his human form were his eyes and their gentle aquamarine color.

Kai's mouth dropped and he quickly began to scramble for his sword on the ground. Junai's expression was truly demonic now, and as he laughed manically he looked down upon the one before him.
"Now...you will feel the wrath of my true power."
