Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Alright Kishin, let's do this.

---------------------------------------------------
Japas walked towards the end of the cliff. He looked down. An empty area full of rocks followed by an immense forest. He sat down. Three days now. Three days since he had killed the son of the head of the local mafia head in a brawl at the bar/hotel combination he had been staying at. He knew they wouldn’t chase him because he would kill them all, but he still felt that he should get away from the town of Gif’ahd as quickly as possible. Japas had a certain sixth sense called the “touch”. A sort of skill where you could feel both physically and mentally things other people couldn’t. And the touch was strong that night, and the feeling it gave was dreadful. That’s why he had decided to flee, and here he was now, taking a rest near the drop of a cliff.

He was about to lay his head down and look at the sky when a noise from behind stopped him halfway. He quickly got to his feet, heart pounding, to see what it was. What he saw was when he turned was a man. He stood there silently. He was looking down, his hair covering his eyes. When he lifted his head and pushed his blonde hair to the side, Japas saw that they were hazel. The young man took few steps forward, and Japas got a better view of him. He was wearing at light brownish-gray trenchcoat, a pair of brown pants… and he was holding a pair of Kamas in his hands.

An assassin. Great. Japas thought to himself.

“I am Kieta. I’ve been hired to kill you.” The man said, raising his weapons to shoulder level…

“No hard feelings.”

… And he got into a fighting stance.

Japas drew his sword, and held it out in front of him. In a swift movement, he took a step back with his right foot and he lowered his hands, along with his sword. His hands were now around thigh level. He balanced himself. He didn’t look down. The wind whipped their bodies every now and then, but both of them never even blinked. To Japas, it seemed like an eternity had passed.

And then, it started.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Kieta dared not to blink he stared at him wide eyed. His heart was racing, the dark wind constantly whispering in his ear. Be wary.... be warned... back down... He would not heed to the wind this angered it.

It blew unforgiving at Kieta trying to force him into obedience. His trenchcoat blew out and for a moment with the forceful wind, That was when it happened. All he could hear was the wind pressing his coat back, the world around him seemingly faded away in a shallow darkness. All he saw was Japas, all he cared about was Japas. His mind was focused, cleared of obscured thoughts he knew one thing now... Get the job done.

They both appeared to closed their eyes at the exact same moment as if this second had a greater significance. Kieta making fluid movements staggered forward, his arms almost seemingly limp as he held them. When he opened his eyes again he took a falling step, and lashed forward his body a stream of what it used to be, there was nothing to see just a blur. His footsteps sounded like a constant beat that never ended,. Japas reluctantly moved on the same Key they crossed in the center with a loud and rapid ching, ching, ching. Kieta smiled feeling blood trickle down his check...I escaped that one, barely This guy is good. and as his thought came to an end he literally vanished in mid air. Back striking Japas with an elbow in the back of his neck. Kicking off the ground he jumped up into the air, and threw down three shurkiens down at the side of his neck, aiming for the arteries. They whisked through the air almost silently drawing nearer.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Japas was hit hard. He fell down silently, unaware of the silent buzzes of the shurikens. He forced control over himself, and turn around in mid-air. He saw the projectiles coming right at him, heading for his head area. He quickly spread his legs and rotated himself so that his legs would be where his head was, and his head would be where his legs were. The shurikens went through the middle of legs, kept going, and turned into little dots in the distance. He rotated himself again, and they both landed on the cliff again.

Close... that was close.

This guy was good. Maybe better than Japas himself. Only time would tell. They dashed at each other, both in a stab position. He saw that the man was going to to slide and try to trip him(because of he wa so close to the ground, it was obvious), so when the time came, he flipped over him.

Japas grabbed Kieta's trenchcoat from behind, and spinned him 360 degrees. When the turn finished, he kicked him in the back, sending him off the ledge. Japas immediatly jumped after him. To his surprise, the assassin regained control and turned around. They both slashed at each other in the air, and their swords clashed, creating sparks. Again and again, they attacked at each other, but none ended up getting a clear hit.

When they finally boosted off each other, Japas grabbed the side of the cliff, waiting. The man grabbed the branches of a tall tree and waited in turn. They jumped again, and the fighting continued.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Breaking through the trees his body was pelted by thick and thin branches. Each time he let out a small grunt, at this speed big or small they all felt the same. He folded his arms falling back first not taking his eyes off Japas for a second. Cranking his back he spun his body around and landed gracefully almost without a sound. He dropped to one knee looking at his shoulder, he had taken a hit somewhere in the melee. He sighed spinning the two kamas between his fingers and swatted at his blonde hair. Leaves glided down through the air all around him, falling back and forth cutting through the air, other falling straight down in a constant spiral. They were soon blown away by that powerful wind omniscient dark wind. Fool, flee! There was a pause and the wind past, but it blew again. Do not defy

"I hate my job." Kieta muttered looking through the parts of the tree. Japas hanged there looking for any sign of Kieta. Before Kieta reached he shook his head trying to ignore the wind. Looking up they maid eye contact It was for a split second but they made perfect eye contact even through the thick leaves and branches. Moving throughout the trees his feet creating a weak pitter-patter and an occasional snap of a dry twig as he leapt up on the cliff wall. He was actually started running up it. Kicking off a rock here and there he crossed right passed Japas with another rapid series of almost a dozen tings before he shot up and past Japas. He was sure he hit him, hanging there he had little defense. Circling around he leapt off the wall again reaching in his trenchcoat flinging another round of Shurkiens, all randomly aimed at parts his body.

“Give up now and accept death. You can’t run, and you can’t win!” Kieta shouted as he started on a decent through the air.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Crap. Those shurikens again. Japas knew what to do this time. Kieta was in the air, defenseless.

Fool.

Japas dashed off the side of the cliff, deflecting the shurikens with his sword as he went. When he was finally through the shurikens, he made himself straighter, like a dart, to increase his speed. He caught up with Kieta, he could see the look in the man's eyes("Damnit, just damnit!" they said), he kicked him down with all his strength. He went down fast, and Japas went into the trees. He waited until Kieta got up again. The wind blew softly now, and he could hear his own gasps for air through it all.

Japas jumped out of the trees and tried to get on Kieta, but his plan didn't go too well. Kieta caught him with his feet and did a mid-air flip. Then, the little sucker, then, kicked him off into the cliff's direction. Japas went straight through, coming out the other side. His velocity changed, and Japas found himself scrapping the ground. Angry now, Japas used his shoulders and the momentum given to him by the kick to flip backwards and land on his feet. He looked up, aware of the eyes watching him.

"I... hate you!" Japas yelled at the man at the top of the cliff.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Kieta stood on the overhanging earth arms folded in contempt. He held the kama's loosely in his fingers. His hardened face showed little sign of any emotion, but when he heard Japas speak he could only laugh. His weak chuckle carrying down into the small forest. There was something about this post, and standing above him that just made him feel... superior.

Leaping off the cliff he descended downward, the gravity pulling him ever faster like an arrow. His arms held upward, and his coat flapping like a cape his decent finally came to an end. Slamming against the ground in a crouch. His head hanged low, and the blonde hair draped over his eyes. His long coat wrinkled up at the base and his pants stretched tight from the odd position. Kieta looked up at Japas his hazel eyes flashing between the fine strands of hair. The attention shifted to the eight-inch kama blades as they began to glow, no darken with something. A negative energy began pouring into the blade from Kieta, yes this had to be it the infamous Shadow strike.

Kieta moved to the left slightly before zipping to the right. His movements nearly unseen to Japas, but he could follow them. Each step had a greater purpose then the last, each step was planned out every movement of his body had some unknown meaning. Then it came, Kieta disappeared, leaving an after image in his wake, and a small explosion came from the center of Japas's body making him fall on his knees.

Japas was stunned he didn't even see the attack, looking over his shoulder seeing Kieta stand with two bloody Kamas. Then looking down at his stomach a Thick X across him, spanning his entire waist. It hit Japas just then how he did it, but that in it self was impossible....

Japas then had to of realized that in fact Kieta did strike him, but so fast that he could of never of seen it. The after image itself was a technique that the body moves between to points, but how the person moves... Well that has always been a mystery. Somehow Kieta must have figured out how to strike During the transportation in the after image, and then... the shadow strike, he transferred the energy into Japas... It was unstable in the first place and exploded after Kieta lost his control over it....

"Just hold still I'll make it quick."

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Japas looked down at his waist. He was bleeding badly. He wanted to look like he was about to die and he was afraid. He saw Kieta smirk. He closed, confident, about to deal the final blow. Japas waited... waited... then, spinning, he rose up, and ending his spin in a power-up position.

Kieta was blown away, and when he got up, Japas could see the look of fear in his eyes. Japas was surrounded by a yellow aura, lightning bolts spinning around his body. His wounds were gone.

"Fool, have you not heard of my RaijinGecki(Japanese for Thunder God attack)?" Japas said, smirking as Kieta stood up.

The yellow aura disappeared, and Japas continued:

"That Shadow Strike was well executed... now... let me show you the Shadow Step!"

Japas dashed towards Kieta at his fastest. His shadow was having a hard time keeping up. When he was right in front him, Kieta slashed at Japas. Japas simply disappeared and reappeared at the same spot, and then disappeared again. He reappeared to Kieta's right, then his back, then his front again, and then his left, and all of this(when reappearing) dashing at him in a stabing position. Then he appeared over his head, and Kieta's eyes were quick.

"There!" He cried, and raised his Kama's.

But little did he know that the real Japas was the one that spawned before, at his left. Japas took the opportunity and kicked him away. He jumped after him, and landed on top of Kieta, grinding him on the floor when they landed. Japas then stopped them both, grabbed Kieta before he could react, and threw him in the air. He jumped after him, gaining speed and strength. When he reached him, he kicked him as hard as he could. Kieta went down at an amazing speed, scratching the floor... and then into the woods. He broke all the trees he went through. Japas landed on the cliff, watching the trail of dust Kieta left behind...

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

The tree cracked, and moaned as it began it's decent falling slowly through the timber, branches catching others, stopping it's decent for a moment before the wieght of the tree caused it to fall to the ground with a loud thud. Kishin sat crouched up against the ground, one knee pulled to his chest, his hands limp against the ground with his kama's resting in his limp grip.

His mind's focus had been thwarted, all he could concentrate on know was the pain, and his broken bones. Everything seemed out of place now, giving him a self command he shouted in his own mind STAND over and over again he would shout the simple comand in his mind attempting to get up. Struggling to rise, struggle to stand, staggering he fell on he knees and hands.

Time to Shadow Shift. He thought to himself as his body suddenly began a thick black like fog, almost appearing as a solid shadow like figure, then reapearing in a normal state of bieng he stood up on constested by the pain, it had simply vanished from him. He stood tall, and stern his kama's now clenched in his hands as he stared through the trees.

((short crapness, sorry for all the spelling errors and gramtical errors I didnt' revise it at all.))

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

I'm a crazy b*stard. I'm actually enjoying the fight. Enjoying hurting the guy.

Japas sent the thought away from his head and cleared it off all thoughts while he was at it, too. The dust was still covering the area, so he couldn't really see Kieta anywhere. Japas stood there, tuning his senses to the max. He could hear, see or sense anything now.

Just then, he was smacked behind the head with the butt of one of Kieta's Kama's. He limped a little, then fell flat on his face. When he got up, blood escaped from his mouth. He spat it all out, wiped his mouth with his shirt's sleave and got up. He knew who would be there. It was Kieta. He was sneaky, all right, very sneaky... Well, Japas guess that all assasins were.

"Sneaky, sneaky," Japas said, pointing a finger at Kieta. "but you'll regret it." Japas smiled as he finished his last words.

Japas threw his sword at Kieta, and ran right after it. As he predicted, the assassin blocked the sword with both his kama's and pushed it right back at Japas, leaving his legs open. Japas dropped himself, and started sliding. He caught Alastor as it passed over him. His feet connected with Kieta's, and the man dropped like a brick. Japas slid under him, and flipped forward, landing with his back facing Kieta.

"How about that? Did you enjoy the show, people?" Japas laughed and spread his arms as if talking to an audience.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Japas turned around with a smug smile on his face watching Kieta flip over himself landing in crouch again. Kieta rubbed his jaw causally, and licked his teeth from under his lips. Could this get anymore boring. Kieta looked up at him listening to him speak. Ignorant twit aren't you. He thought standing upright, the kama spinning so fast in his hand it seemed a silvery blur. He took a step forward but paused. With a quick jerk of his head he moved the hair off his face.

"Shut up." Kieta spoke as he stepped to the side and literally vanished from sight again. He appeared again right before Japas the kama upside down to catch his counter attack. Hooking his sword with the Kama he gave him a stern kick to the side of his knee. The blow was enough to put him on it. Not wasting any time he stabbed down into his wrist with the Kama the razor sharp blade splitting the skin like butter fishing his arm like he would Samoan through the lip. The Sword fell and Kieta kicked it away placing the other kama at his chin, the point breaking the skin.

"I told you to hold still... you should of listened. This is your last chance, accept it and it will be quick. I have things to do, people to see. Your wasting my time, just die already.”

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

"..."

"... Just die already."

This one got Japas pissed. Kieta didn't notice, but Japas' eyes were starting glow, and then lightning started producing in them. THIS Kieta noticed, and backed away, letting go of his Kama. Japas got up, looked at his wrist. It wasn't bleeding badly, but there was a Kama stuck in it. Japas grabbed it, and started pulling. The pain was indurable, but he didn't let go. He screamed as it started moving, and screamed some more when it came out, crippling his wrist. He looked at the Kama, licked his blood off it. His eyes met Kieta's, who was standed a little further now. Japas threw the Kama back at Kieta at an amazing speed, but nothing he couldn't dodge. Japas wanted him alive for now.

Japas reached into his pocket, and found what he was looked for. He took some of the magic dust, and sprinkled it on his wrist. It glowed, and the glow started growing. And it kept getting bigger until it swallowed up all of Japas' arm. Then there was a flash and the light was gone. So was Japas' wound. Japas picked up his sword, wiped the dust off it and looked at Kieta.

"No..." Japas murmured silently.

"No? What are you talking about?" Kieta seemed more surprised than afraid now.

"No... No..."

"No...?"

"No.. No... No..."

"No? No what?" Kieta seemed angry now. "What are you talking about?"

"NO MERCY!!"

Japas dashed towards Kieta faster than Kieta's eyes could follow or see. Kieta didn't even see him anymore, only the yellow color of his clothes. When Japas reached him, which was 1 second after he started running, he swipped both of Kieta's feet out of their places. Kieta started falling sideways, just the way Japas wanted him to. Japas drew back his sword into a ready position, and then brang it forth, hitting Kieta's chest with the flat side of his sword. Kieta went flying, and dropped three shurikens. Japas grabbed them and jumped up. He threw them at Kieta, who hadn't landed yet. The shurikens missed him. Kieta hit the ground, and Japas could hear some of his bones breaking.

Japas darted down, screaming, his eyes still glowing, and pointed his sword towards the ground...

Japas landed on Kieta, and stabbed his right leg. It was pinned to the ground. Kieta spat out blood as he screamed. It covered his face, his neck and his hair...

... and Japas looked at him, smiling that crazy smile.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Kieta grunted loudly almost on the verge of screaming. He looked at the sword pin his leg to the earth below him. The thrust of the sword created a pool of his own blood, staining the earth red with his life force. Kieta cringed and tried to pull away from sheer reflex, but the pain made him slam his head back down into the ground.

“Damn you Japas.” Japas’s eyes widened He knows my name but shook it off an assassin’s knowledge of his target.. Closing his eyes Kieta gave a deep exhale, and his body took shape of that black mist again, it swirled up the sword slowly draping the ground in a sort of black fog, then up Japas’s wrist, and through his cloths he felt like something was taken. He didn’t know what to think, or what to do. Letting go of his sword he swatted at the mist inside him garbs reluctantly with a confused look on his face, but then it was gone. Still wondering where he went, his back went stiff as he felt the Two Kama’s were held at his neck. Kieta stood behind him now. Japas’s teeth clenched down, and he reached slowly for his sword thinking Kieta wouldn’t see him, but it was too late.

“My thoughts exactly.” Kieta pulled back on the Kama's ready to slit his throat, but Japas dropped just in time, grabbing his sword, but wasn’t fast enough. Kieta stuck one Kama in his side, the other caught him in the cheek as he pulled it back cutting the flesh on his face, and then nicking his ear on the way back. Japas gave a gurgling scream as blood filled his mouth.

Kieta flinched seeing what he did to an old comrade, but shook it off and kicked him the center of the back. His heel connected right with his spin. Staggering forward he felt a sharp pain in the side of his head. Kieta flipped up and had pegged him directly in he head with a spinning hook kick, the kick had enough force behind it to knock him straight to the ground with a THUD leaving him between the realms between conciseness and a weary sleep.

“Nice light trick back there, and thanks for the new technique I’m going to practice that.” Kieta announced tossing up the thunder emblem in his hand before shoving it in his satchel.
“This was what I was sent after... I’m going to tell them I killed you, just don’t show your face for a while.” With that Kieta began strolling off thinking he was doing him a favor. I guess he hasn’t remembered yet.. Japas reaching out after him, but his head fell limp against the ground. The last thing he saw for the time being was his blade stuck in the ground and Kieta turning back to get one last look. Before his vision faded and blacked out.

((Phase two of the battle =P to the city! ))

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Japas woke up screaming. A nightmare. But it wall gone now. He looked around for Kieta, but the assassin was gone. He couldn't remember well. His sword was stuck in the ground... and his emblem was missing. He guessed he would have to do without it's powers for now. Until he got it back.

"Ouch..."

Japas touched the behind his head. It was bleeding badly.

Shadow Shift.

Japas disappeared and reappeared. His wounds were gone. Japas got up, dusted himself, and grabbed the hilt of his sword. He remembered what Kieta had said. That he would say Japas was dead, and not to show his face for a while.

Yeah right... I'm getting my Thunder Emblem back. And I'm gonna kill that man, along with his boss. That guys gonna regret trying to act cool in front of me. From now on, I go medium level on him.

Japas wondered if Kieta was fighting at his fullest, or he too was going easy. It didn't matter now. He started running at post-sonic speed. He cut through the trees which got in his way. He was heading for the city. He soon broke the sound-barrier, causing a sonic boom. He was nearing the city. Soon enough, he would break another barrier, the light-barrier, and the explosion left by it would surely alert Kieta of his arrival. Once he was there, he had to find and kill Kieta as fast as possible.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

Overjoyed with his job well done Kieta tossed the emblem up, and caught it on the decent. Snatching it out of the air with almost unseen speed. He preformed after images now as if it were a game, his speed was his most advanced part of his abilities. After images formed without him even knowing it at times, and the waving duplicate of the thunder emblem vanished as Kieta’s shoulder brushed through it. He still couldn’t understand why they wanted him to get this over all things though.

"A life for this piece of junk? Doesn’t seem worth it, just a trinket, a cheep one at that." Kieta scratched the side of his head with it trying to think of what it could be used for. Taking another gather at it he put it in his pocket and decided best to ignore it and went on walking, but something felt off. Reaching up to his hair he realized it was standing on end where he rubbed the emblem.

"No way... That means. I see now." Kieta thought crossing his arms, lifting one to support his chin, as he stared at the ground. Eyes shifting to the side almost as an instinct he sure he just heard something. Kieta patted down his static energized hair, and continued walking through the forest, when he heard another faint sound, this time he was sure... something was coming, and fast. He smiled.

"Well, well we-?" Turning around he caught the image of something, he couldn't make it out but he was dead sure something shot past. Turning around as fast as he could his hazel eyes landed on Japas's smiling figure. Kieta looked over Japas’s shoulder seeing the town was just in sight.

Damn I can't kill him this close to town, they'll find his body. Snapping his fingers he took his thinking pose, arms folded his right standing erect pressing against his chin. And then it struck him the ingenious idea. With that taken care of he looked up at Japas.

"Not going to take my advice are you? Well I can't say that's the smartest thing to do, but you got guts going up against us like this." Kieta didn't bother drawing his weapons. He kicked off a tree, then another, and before Japas knew it. He kicked off his shoulder too, and was heading for the town.

Kieta was gone, and with that, Japas continued his way towards the town. Japas decided to take it easy and not to run at full speed. Something he saw in the corner of his eye caught his attention. He looked at the trees to his right. It was Kieta, jumping from tree to tree alongside him.

He shot a quick glance at Japas and quickened his pace. In a few seconds, Japas couldn't see him anymore, not even a little dot in the horizon. The guy was that fast. It didn't matter now, since the town was a few minutes away. Japas could feel the occasional leaf touch his face and it gave him a sense of peace. Japas took a look at the sky, trying to determine the time of day. It wasn't even past lunchtime yet. He had an idea that today was gonna be one of those long days. Japas looked straight ahead now, and there it was, bright as day. The town was getting bigger and bigger, soon to be too big for his eyes to be able to capture it all in their vision.

Japas arrived a little late because of his encounter with Kieta, but took no precautions. Kieta couldn't spread word of his arrival that fast.

It was a busy town, yes indeed, with merchants and workers walking about here and there in their daily routines. Japas looked up at the roofs. He would likely find Kieta up there than where he was now. He ran up a wall, jumped off, grabbed onto a rope hanging from some house windows and swung himself up to a roof. He landed softly, crouching. He got up and looked around. Now, all he had to do was find Kieta.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

OOC: Heh quick cameo by Ryukashin

Alone now, I pondered if my use in life was up. Was my turn to be in the spotlight over? I was lost and feeling obnoxiously sorry for myself. Old memories and fond friends were all lost to the tides of time. The irony of it all is that I thought I'd always have them no matter what. Goodbyes were one of the things I had become accustom to, but I so much more prefered the hellos. Flashes blurred the rooftops, small rays of lighting were left in its wake, and nostalgia set in. Memories flooded back in for a moment and I continued on my not-so-merry way.

Re: Japas V. Kishin// Showdown of Fate

((^^ Hell yea. me, you, and Matt. Oh yea =P Like old times, but better.))

Kieta had the town at in his control. His propaganda spread like poison hitting the heart with such speed that the whole town was in an uproar before anyone even had the chance to question what was going on. They chanted and screamed the name of Japas with hatred. Kieta nodded and told them that Japas was coming to town a wicked man that he had been pursing for years. He told them lie after lie with such a stern face and such a convincing tone that they melted into his hands where he formed them into his trap.

His lies turned them crazy and he advised the people to evacuate the town immediately. They rushed for belongings, children screaming in the mist unknowing what was going on. People Obeying his command as if he was a god. Within an hour The sneaky Kieta had done his job well, and sat on a rooftop waiting for Japas in his self proclaimed ghost town, then the dark wind pressed against Kieta blowing his trench coat against his body. Another one comes... the one that will freeze your soul. Kieta paused knowing when the breeze returned. Knowing the name it would speak. Ryukashin the breeze howled into his ears.

“Well If I’m to steal the emblems I suppose I should go after Ryukashin now, but that Japas isn’t going to give up until he’s gotten his back. Hrm... Maybe I can get Japas and Ryukashin to fight each other.” Snapping his fingers he devised up another plan breaking parts of buildings in, thrashing houses and slaughtering what ever live stock was still around spreading blood here and there.

“Now to hide... Ryukashin should get here after Japas. Knowing Ryukashin he won’t even hesitate to put the blame on someone else. Ha! I’m a genius.” With that Kieta threw down a Smoke bomb and disappeared in the cloud.

((ooc:Short, but hey this could be interesting.))
