Fairies and Fire(Autkast)

Ok, lets see if I can still do this. I'll be using Edok.

Whatever you say, I'll use Ruben

But I can't find Edok. Did you post him in the Character List.

Sorry about that. Here he is.

Ooc: Alright then, I'll make the intro I guess.

Ic: A slight breeze caused Ruben's hair to shift out of place. He jerked his head from side to side to set it back and out of his eyes. His eyes reflected the sky at the moment. A dull purplish haze made him look as though he were on the verge of death. The fog was thick and nearly choking for Ruben to breathe. Regulating his breathing carefully, Ruben made his way up the rocky hill. Leaping great gaps and climbing over giant boulders. He would have flied if he could see where he was going. One wrong move would end his life quickly and his body would be lost to the mountain forever.

Reaching the top of the mountain, Ruben could see a great flag marking the highest point. A man kneeled on the opposite end of the summit, looking towards the sky. Ruben cleared his throat to gain the attention of the man. The strange being simply shrugged and climbed to his feet.
"Don't take me for a fool," he said, still looking at the sky, "I knew you were coming since you started up the Mountain of Fog."
Taken aback, Ruben regained his composure and cautiously took a step forward. The man turned and questioned, "You have come here to challenge me and in turn defeat me so that you may prove yourself amongst the warriors of the time. Or to put it more simply... make a name for yourself."
Not nearly as surprised as before, Ruben began to wonder what else the man knew, and if he could read minds. Ironically, the man replied to his thoughts, "No. I can't read minds, if that's what your thinking. I simply know how to gain information. As do you, I presume. Otherwise, you would not be here."
"You are indeed correct," Ruben replied, "and you have been from the first word you spoke. I truly want to fight you, but not with words, or symantics, but with sword and strength."
With that Ruben pulled his swords, still sheathed, off of his back and held the long pole out infront of him.
"As you wish," the man replied as he too pulled out his own weapon.

Ooc: Sorry about how long it took. My mind has been blank for the past couple of days.

The two fighters slowly walked towards each other until there was less than two yard between them. Ruben raised his weapon but Edok kept his down. Ruben threw him a questioning look but he said nothing in reply. Both of them stood ready, waiting for the other to attack. Finding that there was no point in just staring at each other all day, Edok swung his sword up in a diagonal cut. Ruben spun to the right of the blade drawing his two swords and cutting at both Edok's feet and his back. Just before the blades made contact Ruben's feet were kicked out from under him and he hit the ground hard. Edok jumped back several feet and watched as Ruben scrambled to his feet.
Once Ruben regain his composure he dashed at Edok with increadable speed, rapidly swinging his swords in all directions. After about three minutes Ruben finally jumped away to see that Edok hadn't been touched but there were several cuts and tears in his clothes.
As both fighters caught their breath Edok looked at his clothes in amazement. Ruben was much faster than he had anticipated. Knowing this he pulled off his outer weighted clothes and look up to see that Ruben was nowhere in sight. Edok readied himself for anything that his opponent might do.

Ooc: No problem, need to work on school anyways. Tell Bahamut to lay off the crack and stick to tylenol. If FFXI is back up for you guys, you should have me over to check it out (hint, hint).

Bic: Ruben silently floated back towards the ground behind Edok and retracted his wings. Pulling up one sword, he placed it across Edok's neck. Blood started to trickle from the wound like a bubbling brook over rocks. Edok stiffened and found himself in a rough spot.

"Game over," taunted Ruben.

In reply Edok jerked his head backward, away from the blade, and hit Ruben squarely in the nose, causing it to break, but no blood came from the wound. Dropping his sword Ruben grabbed his nose in dismay and stumbled backwards a few metres. Meanwhile, Edok spun around and snickered at Ruben, taunting him just as much as Ruben had before.

"You are weak," Edok laughed at him cradling his nose like a small boy. Ruben looked up at him and simply cracked his nose back into place. This caused blood to flow uncontrollaby and Ruben wiped his mouth off. He picked up his sword and made an attempt at Edok who instinctively brought his sword up to defend. Ruben, instead of coming at him from the front, spun to the side and swung low, aiming for Edok's upper thigh. Caught off balance, Edok tripped in the process of bringing his own sword around and fell to the ground while Rubens' swords went over and the momentum resulted in him also tripping over himself to nearly fall on top of Edok's dooming sword. Ruben found footing and jumped forward, over Edok and rolled to come into a sitting position on the opposite side. They both simply chuckled at themselves and readied for the coming attacks.

Ooc: I know, I know, a little comical but I had an urge. I think it's the cough drops.

Your char is inactive, I was over for guitar lessons Sunday.

Ooc: Sorry it took so long again. My computers having problems. And SilentSypher means that your char in FF11 is inactive.

Bic: Edok slowly approched Ruben, ready for an attack. Ruben lept at him in a blur of motion, swinging for Edok's ribs. Edok swiftly brought up his swordand blocked the attack. Then without hesitation cut down at Ruben's knee. Ruben easily jumped away then lept back at Edok cutting at him from both directions. Ready for the attack, Edok ducked under the blades and stabbed at Ruben's stomuch with his powerful sword. Rolling to the side, Ruben dodged the attack but the point of Edok's sword caught onto his shirt and slighty cut his side. Edok jumped back and Ruben followed, both fighters cutting wildly. They both fought to their limits but niether could gain the advantage. Then, jumping away from Ruben, Edok raised his right hand and spoke several unheard words. Small rocks began to lift off the ground and shoot at Ruben. Ruben jumped out of the way but the rocks continued to come. Then Ruben faced the rocks and used his own magic and held the stones in place.

Ooc: Sorry about the sudden ending to this post but this isn't my computer and I gotta get off.

Ooc: lol....problems with your computer, eh? haha

Bic: Ruben hardly ever used his magic in a battle unless it was absolutely necessary. If he wanted to survive the pummeling that would come with the hurtling rocks, then he was obliged to his powers.

Ruben shoved the rocks back and Edok released them, letting the rocks fall to the ground. So he wants to play like that. I guess I'll have to show him some more, Ruben thought. He sheathed his swords inside themselves, but kept the pole infront of him. Chanting, Ruben began to spin the poll faster and faster until the it was just a blur. A mighty wind began to pick up from the north and sweep across the mountain, blowing the great fog away. The gust threatened to blow Edok clear off of the mountain and send him to a painful impact and most likely certain death.

Edok planted his feet firmly in the dirt, withstanding the wind. Ruben brought in his staff, ceasing to spin it, opened his wings and took to the sky. The sun, now showing through the fog, reflected off of the brilliant white of his wings, causing a glare, and Edok could no longer follow him with his eyes without taking his attention off of the wind. Ruben caught the wind in his mighty wings and shot straight at Edok, grabbing him and lifting him into the air along with himself. Ruben threatened to drop him onto the rocky ledge which was highly unfavorable for Edok. Edok struggled to hold on while they flew clear of the mountain and made way for a dense forest. Edok grabbed hold of Ruben's wrist, as not to fall to his death, and used his other hand to rip out many of Ruben's feathers.

"Ahhhhhh!" Ruben shrieked in pain as the two warriors ungracefully plummeted toward the forest canopy...
