Re: True Link vs. Saderox

The sun rose high into the morning azure blue sky, Its rays of light breathing new life into the world over which it resides. It was a sphere of gold, A bearer of life, happiness and joy. Like a gifted artist baring his soul into his masterpiece so too did the sun's rays descend on the land like a soothing balm attempting to heal the burning wounds of the planet.

But, As is well known amongst those of intellect and wit, No one thing coud ever attain perfection for there would always be an insurmountable obstacle acting as the blockade between mortality and divinity. Such was the case in many a land.

One region in particular was doubly plagued. It was barren, desolate and quiet. Deathly quiet. A land where nothing grew and no light reached. Ruins spread far and wide for as far as the eye could see. Dark ominous smog rose like a curtain covering all, allowing none but a few meager droplets of light to rain down upon this forsaken domain. Nothing stirred. Nothing breathed. And that was the way this land remained for as far back as anyone could remember.

However, The land was lifeless no longer. Reflected in the few rays that crossed the smog was a figure that most certainly didn't belong in this wasteland. As the figure continued its steady march, More and more of its features came into focus.

The figure was of a young man valiantly crossing the wasteland. A cloak of dark purple stained with red blotches of some type, presumably blood, hung across his broad shoulders and cascaded down his lithe back like a flowing waterfall. He was reasonably tall, His frame reaching around six feet in height, maybe less. His arms were wide and well-muscled, bearing numerous scars and gashes which were a clear indication of the many battles this youthful warrior had engaged in.

As though sensing the lad's presence, The land began to growl and rumble with unhidden fury as the blackened earth shifted violently beneath his feet, layer upon layer of rock rose into the air for a moment before crashing to the ground with an ominous thud as they fell in the exact spot where the youthful stranger confidently stood. Or rather, Where he had been standing. Without so much as a second glance at the rocks, He unsheathed two wondrous blades, Seemingly crafted from a substance whose origins were lost in the mists of time, and struck at the rapidly approaching mammoth stones. The effect was instantaneous as the stones fell in two at the warrior's boot clad feet. The wind raged for a few moments with enough gale to uproot a tree in one last attempt to defy the youth or, at the very least, do as much as harm as possible. His cloak flew calmly along the wind until it finally died down in a desperate cry of defeat. It was then that the stranger finally lifted his hood and observed his surroundings.

The lad's face, now freed of the black hood, was revealed to be tanned a healthy bronze, A single scar running vivdly along the right side. Its features strong, firm betraying none of the emotions that boiled within him. His eyes burned with a silent denial of the volcano's warnings. He would not back down now. He had traversed far too much to turn tail and run. He was close to his goal, Closer than he had ever been in his life. His handsome features continued to hold a taut jawline that clearly reflected his resolve and determination. A mane of hair, short spiky and slightly ruffled by the boy's journey thus far bore a whitish silver color that stood in stark contrast to the threatening crimson of the volcanic titan before him and the blackened earth beneath the soles of his feet.

His eyes were a deep striking tone of purple, Its gaze scrtuning and precise not missing a single detail around him. They seemed to burn with a pale crimson aura, Certainly not the kind of eyes one was used to seeing. The amethyst tone of his eyes so deep that one felt as though his soul were sinking into its depths, His most well-kept secrets. His soul even, bared to the silver haired youth. In them now was the sight of the young man's target.

A mammoth pillar of rock, lava and magma stood tall in the blackened earth around. Thick red fumes blew from the summit, a warning to all travelers who dared come this far into the wasted land of death. It was a testament to the wrath of the gods. Tall, everlasting and forever foreboding. That just about summed up this gigantic beast of rock, magma and heat.

However, as the lad proceeded to enter the hellish titan that stood before him, He heard something. Or rather, He felt it. There was some kind of motion nearby. His hands flew to the hilts of the twin blades that adorned his back as his amethyst gaze flew across the harsh terrain in search for anything out of the ordinary but his eyes failed to detect any signs of the stranger.

"I suggest you reveal yourself now, friend. For there is little use in hiding from someone who already knows of your presence." The lad voice, calm and smooth, flew across the landscape hoping to draw out whatever creature might be lurking in the darkness of this forsaken realm. And with that, The youth stood still, awaiting the stranger's next move.

Re: True Link vs. Saderox

OoC: Sorry for the dely of post. I've been grounded and, well you know the rest.

IC:

To a wolf, life is a test to prove its worth
To a man, life is a test to prove its honour
To Leo, life is a test
To prove he really is alive

A cloaked figure stepped out of the shadows, not a single bit of flesh visible. His face was hidden by a hood, his hands wore black leather gloves and boots with a silver zipper covered his feet.
'I knew it,' said the young man, pointing at the cloaked one. 'Just how long have you been watching me?'
The cloaked one stood silently still, only raising his head a little. The lad saw the strangers chin, brightened up by the fires around them. The flames rose stronger, as if answering the warriors rage.
'Answer me, damn you!'
'And if I don't?'
The two stared at each other, fire dancing round them. The moment was silent and tense, with the warrior staring into the cloaked ones now visible eyes.
They were pure yellow, with a vertical slit cut down the centre. They resembled that of a lion, roaring fiercely to the winds.
'And if you don't...' said the warrior. 'You know what to expect.'
The warriors hands were itching towards his weapons, coiled up in fists.
'Then why must you force me to wait?'
'What?!'
'You heard me.' said the stranger, 'I'm waiting.'
'You asked for it!'
The warrior ran towards the cloaked figure, and flew towards him with his fist cutting air. The cloaked figure swayed to the side, and caught the bridth of his arm at a ghostly speed.
'What?'
'Tch...' smirked the stranger. A burst of smoke from the fires threw his hood back, and the warrior stared at what he saw.
'Denetsu!'
The warrior jumped back, and drew out two swords. Something was happening to the creature... something not natural.
A metal liquid ran through the skin of the figure, lightly and soft, glided across his skin. It even lifted him off the ground a few feet.
But then, the liquid snapped, and hardened to become a solid.
'He's wearing... armour.'
It was true. The creature was now wearing silver across his chest, arms, legs, back... everywhere. A sword with cymbols engraved had came up to his hand with the liquid, and the only thing not part of the armour was a black shredded up shirt that had two long sleeves.
'What's your name...' asked the warrior. He glanced again at his beastly face. The creatures eyes were so deadly, that even ghosts feared them. '...werewolf.'
They both slashed their swords in the air, and the werewolf hung his across his shoulder.
'My name is my own...' he said. 'But you can call me Leo Wolf.'

Re: True Link vs. Saderox

The two warriors stood face to face, Their swords locked in a deadly stalemate. As neither warrior was able to overpower the other, Rein used that instant to assess his opponent.

His strength was obviously as beastly and frightful as his face for it was taking a good deal of effort for the silver haired lad to hold the werewolf's sword at bay, Certainly much more than what he would have used were he facing an average fighter. The eyes were of an eerie yellowish colour and two black vertical slits, A definite werewolf trait. A white mane of hair, somewhat similar and yet was quite different from Rein's, only served to add an even more intimidating aura to the mighty werewolf.

That, however, was all the young lad could observe in the fleeting instant before Leo quickly stepped backwards and, glaring at the Ayuvir for a moment, tightened his grasp on his massive sword. And then, He moved.

With unbelievable speed, even by werewolf standards, Leo lunged at the youthful Ayuvir, His blade glittering brightly by the crimson glow of the volcanic pillar observing this clash.

Luck was on Rein's side, however, for though the werewolf was still extremely swift and agile, The Wolf armor managed to take away a small portion of his speed. And that small portion was all that had seperated life from death in Rein's case.

As the massive sword weaved its way through the dead air of the wasteland, The silver haired Ayuvir immediately lunged to the side. The dodge was not a perfect one for, though it saved the lad's life, It did not prevent him from sustaining minor injuries as a drizzle of blood flowed from his left shoulder where the sword had grazed it.

Not one to succumb to pain, Rein's eyes tightened slightly as he ignored the throbbing pain in his arm. His hands grasped the hilts of his blades and, In the very instant his feet connected with the barren soil of the wasteland, His body was propelled upwards avoiding another slash from the werewolf's blade. Wasting not the slightest moment, The twin Ayuvir blades cut through the air with lethal speed as they made their way towards Leo's head.

With the blood of the werewolves flowing through his veins, Most would expect to see an incredible show of skill that the creature's heightened instincts would find only too easy too perform. And, They were not mistaken.

A bluish spark lit up the desolate plains ever so briefly as the Fafniel's dark blade collided with the Wolf sword. Rein's amethyst eyes tightened as he registered the wolf's stealthy block of his attack. He's definitely a fast one. But not even that kind of speed could block both blades, Rein thought as the Fragarach continued its journey towards the wolf.

Rein's estimation proved entirely correct for no sooner had the thought crossed his mind than the werewolf let out a slight yelp of pain, The Fragarach's blade having made a small gash in the wolf's furry flesh. Wiping off the trail of blood, Leo stared at his opponent, His eyes burning a golden hellfire as anger surged through him.

"Hmph. I guess I might have slightly underestimated. You're not too horrible a fighter for a scrawny little kid."

"Gee, Thanks for the compliment. You're not so bad yourself."

"But.." Leo continued as though the lad had not spoken.
"You're still no where near being a match for the power of a werewolf."

"Really? Well, I guess we'll just have to see about that, won't we?" Came Rein's strong voice as he readied himself for the coming round. This would most certainly turning out to be a far more exciting battle than the amethyst eyed lad had anticipated.

"Indeed we will, lad. Indeed we will." Replied Leo amusedl as he assumed his battle stance once more. The heavens egan to rumble as they heralded the coming of thunder, The land shifted slightly beneath their feet as a storm began to stir but both warriors were oblivious to the happenings around them, Each focused solely on the challenge that lay looming ahead. The challenge of a lifetime. The battle goes on.

Re: True Link vs. Saderox

OoC: Wow... you're a good writer, I can see that. Using the Wolf Armour to slow Leo down was a great idea by the way...

IC:
Rein and Leo leapt towards each other, skimming air and slashing swords. His wolfish eyes glareds furiously as they leapt together again. The swords clashed, and forced against each other. Sparks flew all over the place and into their eyes. But neither Rein nor Leo could care less. Their swords forced against each other, as if Leo's sword and Rein's were determing themselves. As if they had a life of their own...

Both were astonishingly equal... but not in the friendly way. Anger drove through them, the thrill of the battle like an illness. And that was not normal for a warrior.
The swords sent of more sparks, and Leo and Rein's faces were only centimetres away...

'This all you got?' said Rein. 'I don't know why... but somehow I'm dissapionted.'

'Oh yeah?' sneered Leo, his yellow eyes glowing feriously as the wolf inside of him corrupted the human inside of him. 'I'LL SHOW YOU!!!'

'No way!'

It was then the swords took a different turn. Leo's blade seemed to pushing both of Rein's swords back... almost as if it was responding to Leo's wolf form.

'Unreal...'

'You got that right!'

The werewolf then forced all of his might into a single push, and sent Rein scrawling across the ground. The warrior looked up and saw Leo standing sideways, panting for breath. His yellow eyes were still the same colour, but no longer glowing as beastly as they were.

'Such power... it's rare to find that in someone who's cursed.' said Rein, his lips cracking into a smile. 'You oughta be chained up.'

Reclaiming his breath and wipping the saliva from his lips, Leo looked at Rein as if he was his own prey. 'I was... but chains could never hold me.'

The two stared at each other... completely oblivious to the volcano errupting above their heads...

Re: True Link vs. Saderox

OOC: Thanks, man. You too are proving to be a great writer. Anyways, Onto the battle. ^^
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
IC: The heavens began to darken as massive clouds of blackened smoke rushed forth from the towering volcano's summit, forming a thick black veil that swept over the wasteland. The dark earth beneath the two warriors feet began to shift and rumble, The winds picked up in a titanic gale heralding the forthcoming of a terrible storm. Things most certainly did not bode well for the welfare of what little land remained untainted by the wasteland's dark aura.

Oblivious to all thses terrifying events, The mighty werewolf stood towering over his sprawling foe, A mad sneer alighting his beastly face.

"Now then, whelp. Time for you to die." The werewolf cried out, His eyes burning with an unholy gleam as his massive blade descended through the air, Its aim accurate and extremely lethal.

The Werewolf's blow was extremely strong, The mad beastly desire to kill, Having almost entirely consumed Leo's consciousness, served only to empower the wolf even further beyond his already enormous might. It was quite apparent that, were this blow to connect with the youthful Ayuvir's body, Demise would surely be his fate.

Though, as it turned out, It was this very desire that rescued the youthful lad from a most horrendous end. Rein could tell that the werewolf's fury was blinding him, His actions now sparratic and unorganined.

With a show of incredible show of tactical insight that most would not have expected from one so young, Rein anticipated the blow and had managed to roll out of its path just in time, The wind prodcued from the blow flowing wildly through his mane of silver hair and, in the position where his body had been instant ago, a small hole left by the blade's incredible blow could be found.

One thing Rein could not anticipate however, was how fast Leo's human side might begin to retake even the slightest hint of control once again. This was shown clear through the wolf's next blow. It had become more accurate, Certainly much faster than before as it weaved its way through the fabric of the darkened air right towards the silver haired lad without fail.

The clang of steel echoed throughout the already burdened air as the Wolf's blade clashed with those of the dynamic Ayuvir. The werewolf's superior strength, however, gave him a deadly advantage over the graceful youth as the twin swords of the Ayuvir were slowly forced backwards, The sides of their blades almost touching the lad's slender neck.

"It was fun while it lasted, kid. Any last words before I end your miserable existance?" Came Leo's voice, Completely void of any trace of logic or sensability, His wolf side had apparently gained the upper hand over his human side.

"As a matter... of fact,... I do." Rein replied and, Seemingly unaware of the blades being pressed so close to his neck that a thin stream of blood began to flow across his navel, A confident grin flew across his features. His amethyst eyes tightened in concentration as he grasped his blades tightly. And then, He spoke. "Benudacc Crnys Taatmed Bynh!!"

Almost instantly upon uttering those words, Rein's blades began to glow with an incredible radiance that managed to surge through the darkness surrounding for a moment before dimming to a bright afterglow. Despite Leo's inhuman strength, His muscular body could not match Rein's ethreal attack as his fur encased body was flung several feet away, Crashing with an echoing thud into the dark infested earth beneath them.

With incredible fury, The fur clad warrior lunged to his feet once again, His wolven pride refusing to lay down his arms until the opponent had been beaten in the manner befitting one who had challenged a werewolf's might. The entirity of this resolve seemed to flash through Leo's eyes, Now reflecting a golden hellfire as they clashed with Rein's amethyst gaze.

Leo's lips shifted to an eerie grin, A grin so maniacal that it would have been sufficient to send shivers down the spines of the bravest of warriors. Not Rein though. Whether it was through youthful recklessness or bravery, Rein returned the grin as he gazed at his opponent.

"You continue to exceed my expectations of you, boy. You shall prove to be a most tasty prey indeed."

"I could say the same of you. Except for the prey part of your speech, of course. I'm not really into eating rabid wolves."

"Don't worry. You won't have to bear their taste. I don't believe that there any to be found where're you're going. Hell."

"Coming from one who is cursed, That doesn't have quite as much of an effect as it normally would have, my friend."

"Well, It would seem that hell has decided to oblige you. Here it comes now." Leo replied, The predator-like glee obvious in his voice as he pointed at the mammoth volcano behind them.

Following his opponent's gaze, Rein's amethyst eyes travelled across the devastated landscape and then, upon locating the source of the werewolf's pleasure, they tightened. The volcano was no longer blackened and dark, Its colossal features reflecting a thick flood of crimson lava gushing out of its mouth as though in silent taunting of the warriors before it. Turning to face his opponent once more, Rein forced a nonchalant expression on his face as he replied.

"No problem. I'll have finished you off long before the lava ever gets here."

"Oh really? Your overwhelming sense of confidence truly baffles me. But, no matter. I will show you the error of your ways soon enough."

"Bring it on, Werewolf." Came Rein's calm reply, His body poised for battle once more. What will become of the two duelers? Could they conclude this bout before the lava reaches them or will they suffer the ultimate price for their pride? Alas, These are questions that could only be solved through the passage of time as the titanic battle of wills wears on.

Re: True Link vs. Saderox

Sorry for the LONG wait, but I'm gonna have to surrender to this battle. I just don't have the time anymore, and find it unfair to keep you waiting bud.

Lord Fragarach, you win. Besides, you would've won anyway, so not exactly a loss.

Congrats bud!
