Dawn's Battle [Any One Person]

OoC: Please, if you join this:
1.) Use good grammar.
2.) Be sure you can post regularly, daily or more often preferred. And,
3.) Make it a good battle. I'm serious. I don't want someone coming in and putting Synyx at his knees in the first post and then declaring they've won.

Now then, on to the post:

BiC: Synyx had slept soundly that night. It was the first night he slept so well since a week ago, when he had battled Zalin, the undead warrior. He woke up as the sun was rising, and stepped out of the cave. There were rocks everywhere and a downhill slope every now and then. He looked toward the sun and thought. I wonder if there are any Fire Elementite on the sun? He wanted to see a real Elementite; not a partial one like himself.

He stood there wondering... wondering what a true Elementite looked like. How it acted. If it was in any way --similar to me? ...Maybe they just look like humans. Or perhaps it's the humans that look like them.

He stopped thinking suddenly. He heard a loose rock give way behind him. He took out Xangatsu and it ignited.

Let's see them just try to get past me.

Why did I have to explore here? thought Hoch as he pulled out his short sword. And on top of that he's crazy and has a fire sword! he thouht. "Who are you?" Hoch yelled from the other side of the sharp jagged rocks. "I am Hoch! I come in peace! I have no wish to fight you!" he then thought, "I hope this plan works as well as I hope it does." He even hid his sword and put down his hood for good measure. "I am Synyx!" he yelled. A name doesn't help me at all, 'What are you' would be better but that would sound rude and I'd rather be on the end of that weird black fire, Hoch thought. "Are you going to fight me or not?" said the person inturrepting his thoughts. "Why would we want to fight?" "You interrupted me." "I'd rather not fight" Synyx just stood there... Hoch prepared for his Super Sprint. He heard a crack and turned to see black lightning come from Synyx's fingers. Damn! He pulled out his crossbow and fired 6 shots then ran forward with his shortsword. I really hope this guy is weaker than he looks.

OoC: I am so incredibly sorry that it took me so long to post this. The last couple of weeks I've been very busy.

BiC: Hoch had fired six crossbow bolts at Synyx. He hit the first three away with Xangatsu and dodged the next two, finally catching the last one and throwing it aside. Synyx smirked. Now the man was rushing at him with a short sword. He won't be able to hit me if he can't see me. Air rushed around Xangatsu's wielder and brought up dust from the ground, completely covering himself. The cloud of dust then expanded and became a wall, blocking vision of everything between two large rocks.

"What the--?" The wall disappeared and revealed-- nothing. Synyx wasn't there anymore. "Where'd he go?!"

The chosen wielder stared at Hoch's back, about to rush in for a clean hit. Finally! I've found a use for that new ability of mine.

OoC: New ability: Dark Gust

OoC: I'm fine with taking long as long as it's good (which it was) I'm happy. The new ability is cool.

BiC: Where'd he go!? I have to calm down. Hoch felt his pulse slow. Much better. He opened up and felt a presence behind him! Hoch turned and saw Synyx behind him preparing to attack. While he was stunned Hoch shot 2 bolts at his face. Synyx blocked them with his sword. Hoch saw the opening, Right at his sword holding hand if I'm fast I can make it, but if I miss I'll be open for a hit. Should I take the chance? Hoch took the chance...

...and hit him! Right in the shoulder he'll either quit using his sword or switch hands. I just hope to God he isn't ambidextrious. Hoch jumped back and waited for Synyx to retailiate.

Ooc: When Hoch detected Synyx he used his Judegement ability combined with Partial Telepathy to find Synyx.

OoC: Wow. Nice use of abilities there

BiC: Ah! My arm! Synyx had been stabbed in his right shoulder. He could barely move it without extreme pain. This is no normal man. That was much too fast a reaction.

How will I hold Xangatsu? I suppose I could use my left arm, but it's not as strong as my right arm. It's not like I'm ambidextrous.... I'll just wait it off. Maybe the Elementite part of me can heal wounds quickly. He quickly held up his left hand and surrounded it with Dark Lightning. This is pretty risky. If my theory is correct, I'll be exhausted from my Lightning ability by the time my arm heals.

Synyx fired a bolt at each of the two large rocks that he used to hide himself from view earlier. They both crumbled, caving in on Hoch's feet. Heh; can't move fast now, can you?

Ooc: I was just trying to find a way to find him so Hoch didn't die after only a couple posts, really. I didn't want to be cheap and say "Hoch now knows where everyone is at all times." So I combined 2 excisting abilities. Hoch is cool like that. XD

"Gah!" My feet are trapped! If I Super Sprint out of here I could escape but what if he uses one of those powers to catch up? Then I'll be absolurey defenseless. These rock chunks are too big for me to move without taking a long time. Hoch's train of though stopped as he saw Synyx approaching. Synyx stomped on each of the rocks. "AHHHHHHHHHH!" Hoch screamed as he felt his left foot break. Dammit! There goes my escape plan. Then Hoch got an idea. If it worked he'd be one step closer to escaping, if not then he'd either be dead or defenseless. It's worth it. If I die I'll die a fighter's death, face to face, not being shot in the back with magic.


Hoch twirled his short sword to keep Synyx away. Step 1: Let him recharge his magic. I just have to stall him. A small grin crept across Hoch's face. Quit grinning! I have to look helpless. Hoch chaned his expression to a nervous helpless look.

OoC: I'll let you handle Synyx's recovery because I have no idea how Elementite's work and I don't want to break him. XD

OoC: Just for the record, you have power over Hoch dying or not. It's in the rules.

BiC: Okay, if I can just keep him there, I can focus my abilities on healing my wound. Synyx couldn't help but smirk for a second. His plan was going very well.

Now Synyx made the dust form a circle around Hoch. That'll keep him from shooting another crossbow bolt at me. There's no way in the world I could block those with my left arm. Synyx wanted to have Hoch waste time, so he thought small talk would do the trick.

"So what are you doing here? Were you sent to kill me? I wouldn't doubt it after the incident...."

OoC: It's short because I don't want to answer for you.

Oh, and the incident was Synyx destroying the town where he found Xangatsu.

Hoch decided small talk would be good. "I came to see the lay of the land. I was sent to kill someone else who will arrive here later. I like to know what it's like." There's black stuff around his arm that must be him healing it. I need him to use that dark lightning and fast. I'd rather not be trapped when he's using that sword. Hoch gave a casual look around. He was really having a closer look at the rocks. I could start hitting them and they'd crumble... If I did that he'd attack me though. Stop it! I need to stick to the original plan. For god measure Hoch swung his crossbow which lossened some of the smaller rocks on his feet. "Why are you here?"

"Hmph.... 'Why am I here.' I travel the world, and maybe one day beyond it, to vanquish darkness from the land. Ever since Xangatsu... I don't want that to happen to anyone else."

"Xangatsu?"

"My sword. It's possessed by darkness. It took control of me-- it made me kill my friends, even an entire village." Synyx twinged as dark flames flickered around his body for a split second. "...But not anymore. I control it now." Synyx gave a small sigh of relief as the wound on his shoulder got smaller.

"That's... erm... nice," Hoch replied. This plan has to work! When he got mad there was that black fire around him. Imagine if I was in that. My only back up is shooting him with the crossbow or throing my knife at him. Not very appealing back ups. Manipulation could be good. I'll talk it out with him.

"If you want to vanquish darkness why do you have a darkness possessed sword? Why don't you get rid of the thing that ruined your life? It seems odd to keep it."

OoC: Sorry about the short reply. I can't do much until Synyx is healed.

The wound was about half an inch wide now, and closing rather quickly. "Don't you understand? If I were to get rid of it, someone else may find it. They could go on a complete rampage, destroying everything in sight. Besides, the forces of darkness have a much smaller chance of defeating me-- if any at all-- when I'm using it." It was now only a quarter of an inch wide. It was almost completely gone, and with no signs of a scar. "...And I think it was given to me for a reason. It's just that... the meteor, it--" Synyx stopped. He didn't want to reveal his weakness to Hoch.

He could stop talking now, as the wound was gone. But he wanted to lure Hoch into a false sense of security.

"The meteor?"

It seems like he said smething he shouldn't have. It could just be something personal or embarrasing... No he doesn't seem like that kind of person, besides he thinks he's gonna kill me. Why would he care if a dead man knew an embarrasing moment? It must be something that can help me survive! A loose section in that armor, a way to keep him from that sword or a mental weakness. Whichever way it'll help me out to know it. Hoch looked Synyx top to bottom.

Hmmm, his wound stopped bleeding. I can't see it very well but I think it's healed now. He's trying to trick me. Hoch tensed every muscle, ready to block whatever got thrown at him.

The real fight's about to begin.

OoC: This meteor intriuges me. XD

OoC: LOL
I'll start this post off with your last line.

BiC: "The meteor?"

Synyx looked at Hoch. He doesn't know how I got Xangatsu. I'll just tell him it was in the meteor. That seems logical... when you take in the fact that the sword is possessed by darkness. "I found Xangatsu in a meteor. Or, at least it was a meteor. Now it's technically a meteorite."

Synyx had to keep his weakness a secret at all costs. He would fight to the death to protect it. He would rather die than cause other people's deaths.

OoC: I know, it's short; but I don't know what to do about Hoch being stuck.

OoC: I'll start the fight if you want. It would be a big help for Hoch if the fight starts soon.

BiC: "I found Xangatsu in a meteor. Or, at least it was a meteor. Now it's technically a meteorite," Synyx said. "Seems like one hell of a coincidence to find a sword shaped piece of matel in a meteor. Was it also fiery black when you found it?" Hoch asked sceptically. I can tell he's lieing. No way he found that sword in a meteor. Hoch decided to provoke the fight. Maybe I'll surprise him and he'll start off sloppily. Hoch raised his crossbow and shout out 5 bolts.

OoC: I've noticed 2 things. 1, our posts are getting rapidly shorter. XD 2, I can't seem to find where Xangatsu was put after Hoch cut Synyx's shoulder...
