Well, I'm new to this and aren't exactly sure what's going on, so I'll let the other guy start. I'll be using Jamba.

Little Miss Molly Thatcher made her way an old brick walkway, whistling a little as she walked. The sky was a bright blue, cloudless and the sun was glowing warm above her. There was a gentle breeze which shook a few leaves free of the nearby trees, sending them flying into the distance. She sighed happily as she walked along, art bag slung over one shoulder, a folded up easel tucked under her right arm. Molly followed the path farther and farther, until she could no longer see any traces of the town she had just left. After being quite sure she was perfectly alone, the young artist unfolded her easel, and began rummaging through her supply bag. A few minutes later, she was well on her way, a scene similar to the one she stood in herself had begun to appear on her canvas.
An hour or so later, she set down her brush, content to take a small break. Wiping her hands off on her smock, she then grabbed a normal looking pencil from her bag, held it up in the air, and quickly sketched a small cup, which she grasped lightly in her hand. With her free arm, she rubbed some pure blue paint on her brush, and brushed a blob of blue paint above the glass. Instantly, the paint turned to water, and fell into the cup. Smiling, she took a sip, and sat down on the soft grass, taking in a little sun and relaxation. She didn't notice the soft pitter-patter of paws across the field behind her.

OoC: Here we go, my first battle post, let's see how it goes P:
IC: Heb the small black cat had been watching this girl for quite some time. As she had been walking around suspiciously near the gang's latest hideout, he had been ordered to watch her until she went away. The girl had (in Heb's eyes increasing her level of suspicion tenfold) searched around a bit to make sure nobody else was there, though she hadn't looked into or suspected the small places that Heb could fit into. Heb had watched the girl in wonder as she painted her surroundings, but this was something else. She had painted a glass of water into existence? Captain Jamba had to be alerted, this was far too strange. Heb dashed back to their hideout to warn the rest of the crew. He burst into their (latest) base, surprising several older cats who had been eating. "Why the rush, Heb?", asked one of them, a scarred veteran known as Spike. "Did you find us a fish so big that you couldn't carry it back alone?" A few of the other cats smiled - Spike's imagination in the world of food sometimes seemed to be limitless. Heb stared back seriously. "No, there's a human girl nearby who can use magic! She made a glass of water just by painting it!" Spike grinned, probably thinking of the girl materializing a fish as large as a house, but the other cats looked nervous. You didn't know what a magic-user would do, they could set you on fire or lift you into the air with a thought. Jamba appeared behind Heb. "I heard it all", he stated. "I'm going to go have a look at this. Heb, come with me. You too, Bekka. The other cats nodded in understanding. Bekka was their method for testing humans. She was a petite gray cat who liked to groom herself, but had a surprising turn of speed. If the human she walked up to was friendly, she'd get a pat or a piece of food. If it was one of those cat-hating humans, Bekka was good at sprintning away before she got the boot. Heb led Jamba and Bekka back to the girl. If all went well, maybe they could get a meal out of this.

Molly sighed contently, wiping a few drops of water from her mouth with her wrist. She had taken off her shoes and hat, letting the gentle breeze through her short hair. The sun was a little lower than last time she had looked, so it must have been mid afternoon by now, plenty of time to make it back home. Better get back to work, before it gets too late. With a little hop, Molly got back on her feet. Smiling a little, she put her foot ontop of the pencil-cup, and gentle stepped down on it. It quickly fell apart into graphite dust, and was lost in the grass. As she turned back to her semipainted canvas, she saw a small, grey kitten heading her way.
"D'awwwwwww..." She quickly ran over towards the small feline, slowing down and dropping to her knees before she got close enough to scare her away. "What're you doing all the way out here?" Molly smiled, reaching out with one arm, index finger extended fully. The kitten looked at her curiously, but obviously wasn't startled or afraid of its new friend. "You must be used to people, aren'tcha?" Molly reached out a little further, and scratched the gray cat on the top of its head. She sat quietly, leaning in against Molly's caress. Movement caught her eye, and two more cats slowly walked towards her, one black the other white and brown. The smile on Molly's freckled face grew as she continued to scratch the gray one. "Wonder where you all came from, all the way out here..?"

OoC: I procrastinated for far too long and now I only have like 10 minutes to make my post, so this one's going to be short. I'll set you up with something to make the story more interesting though. :3
BiC: Bekka purred contentedly. "It's all right, this one seems to be fine." Jamba and Heb moved closer, their caution no longer overpowering their curiosity over this little human girl's strange powers. They headed towards her equipment, as a variety of strange smells were coming from it. It was very interesting. The different shades of paint seemed to all have unique smells, suggesting that, perhaps, part of the girl's magic lay in this paint. Suddenly, the cats stopped what they were doing. From down the path they heard the sound of human footsteps approaching. Perhaps this girl's parents have come to pick her up, thought Jamba. It was a tall, bespectacled man, who ignored Molly at first and walked straight over to her half-finished painting. "A splendid piece of work, little girl. How would you like to participate in the annual art contest being hosted in our town? It's just up ahead a few miles, and the competition starts next week."
