An Old Friend, A Stronger Foe (Zorolo)

OoC: It took me a while to get back into my BA writing style. Had to dig deep into my imagination to pull out this intro paragraph.

BiC: The summer sky was bright and clear. The sun shone down on the ground and lit up every shadow. Blaze took a deep breath and stared into the sun. The humidity and temperature were perfectly in sync and there was absolutely no wind. Not even the slightest breeze. Oh, yes. It was a perfect day for a man born to live in fire and swim in lava.

Bored as usual, Blaze went out for a walk. Other than eating, sleeping, or training; Blaze had nothing to do most of the time. He recently bought an electronic device that showed images and reported news of the planet's state. It also projected several one-hour segments of fiction meant to provide entertainment. However, all the violence, fighting and action the device showed just awakened Blaze's Elemental blood. He was overcome with the urge to fight.

He ended up in a park. Well, more like a small forest with a path that ran through it. He walked along the path until he reached a small clearing with a large tree in the middle. He sat down and leaned against tree. He glanced at the rays of sunlight breaching through the trees' leaf barrier. One ray hit a spot on his right where a patch of grass was growing out of the dirt and rocks. Just as he was about to nod off, he saw a man clad in green walking down the same path he took. Blaze noticed that something was protruding from his waist. Each time the man took a step, something would point out on the left. Instinct, no, hope made it out to be a weapon of some kind. A smirk came across the Elemental's face. He brought his left knee up, rested his left arm on it and said, "I hope this guy can fight."

It had been a long time since Zorlo had walked a path anywhere for leisure or relaxation. Most of the time, the green haired man walked from place to place in order for some purpose, but today, the fencer decided to take a nice, long walk. The breezeless air and blue sky were relaxing, and allowed the Aura Master to feel at a state of almost utterly relaxation. Despite the fact Zorlo was always happy, the fencer wasn't always as relaxed as he seemed. At that moment in time, he felt infinitely better.

It seemed like hours that the green haired man walked down that forest path, never really noticing anything out of the ordinary. If this were a normal day, the Aura Master would be at the Dome, teaching his students, giving his assistant menial jobs to keep him busy, and thinking of something to do. However, today was different from the last few days, weeks, and possibly months the fencer had spent in that building, testing out the dynamic nature of his powers.

Well, in the past weeks, the fencer hadn't seen any of his students, since they seemed to be slacking, his assistant was out training somewhere to grow stronger, and and this had been Zorlo's decision on how to alleviate his boredom. After all, there were few better ways in the world to find something entertaining to do than to take a nice, long, relaxing walk through the forest. It gave the Aura Master a long period of time to fully clear his head and relax.

Zorlo stepped into a massive clearing, looking around. Finally, the calmness that had idly set in became something undesired. It had been a while since the Aura Master had last fought someone with any measure of strength, so a hope of a strong foe was probably too much to ask. The fencer unzipped his jacket and rested his right hand on the pommel of his sword; his sword arm, his left arm, rested at the fencer's side as he approached a nearby figure that burned with a strong level of fire magic around him. Mayhap this warrior would be the worthy foe the fencer sought?

"Hello," the fencer began as he moved towards the man, "I'm wondering if you'd be interested in a spar, since you seem to burn with a strong magical presence," the Aura Master noted as he moved closer to the man. Zorlo stopped as he looked at the man. "Blaze? Is that you? How have you been?" the green haired man asked calmly with a smile about his face. This truly would be interesting than.

OoC: Sorry, Zorolo. I know this will be annoying, but it's a pet peeve of mine. The Elementals don't use magic. In Blaze's case, he has the ability to increase his body temperature and ignite anything he touches, including oxygen in the air. I'll make a more detailed explanation later, on to the battle.

BiC: Blaze was never good with faces, so naturally when the swordsman implied that they met before, he was confused. But with most people, he remembers the faces of everyone he's fought before. Still on the ground, he started to think back and slowly remember the man in front of him. His name is Zorlo. We fought a long time ago on a long dirt path. He used an unusual sword that was very thin and light. He had swift strikes, but mostly attacked with pierces and slices. Our fight ended prematurely when he became tired.

"To be honest, Zorlo, I've been really bored lately," he said as he extended his arm out. "I'm really glad that you happened to show up here." The swordsman shook his hand and chuckled.

"The last time we met you were also bored," said Zorlo as he crossed his arms, "and if I remember correctly, you started and ended our fight for the same reason." Blaze just shrugged because that's how most of his fights started. He couldn't remember when he fought someone out of anger.

"Ok, ok. No more talk about my consistent boredom. Draw your sword. I want to see how strong you've gotten." The eager Elemental took up a stance. Zorlo smiled and grabbed the handle of his sword. Suddenly, the swordsman disappeared. Blaze quickly turned to his left and blocked Zorlo's blade with his index and middle fingers which were encased in fire.

"Ah. Your Ember Blade," Zorlo said remembering one of Blaze's favorite techniques.

"You've gotten faster," said Blaze, "You might be as fast as me now." He leapt back a couple of meters and assumed his stance. Zorlo shook his head.

"No," he pointed at Blaze's right arm, "I'm faster than you now." Blaze looked at his arm and noticed three cuts: two horizontal and one diagonal, which made a Z.

"Alright then." Blaze's entire body suddenly burst into flames. The fire then was shot out towards Zorlo who easily deflected it. When he did, Blaze appeared in front of Zorlo with red hair, eyes and a fiery aura. He placed his two fingers on the man's chest. "Ember." Zorlo sidestepped to the left as beam of fire shot out of Blaze's fingers. The beam hit a tree causing a large explosion, which turned the tree, and several others, into ash. Zorlo smiled.

"Now it's a fight."

"Impressive," the fencer noted as he looked at the warrior, stepping backwards at such speed one would have thought he were merely leaping backwards at high speeds. The green haired man rested Apollo on his shoulder and shifted his weight, looking at the Elemental who stood before him. The air was becoming unnaturally hot; it didn't matter, however, since the Aura Master released a small bit of aura and created a cushion of cool air around himself.

That form. I recall it, the Fencer of Tasogare told himself as he looked at the now red hair of Blaze. It's something of a second stage, if I recall correctly. However, even with that power, I still managed to keep up with some level of skill. Or did I? I forget, the fencer told himself with a smile and a hearty chuckle. Now then, back to the matter at hand, the fencer thought as he spun his sword around his index finger and stopped the handle so the golden blade pointed at the warrior.

Slowly, the attack that the fire based warrior had just used set in as to effect for the green haired man. A stream of fire shot from the tips of the fingers. Strong enough to reduce several trees to ash and smolder, huh? This'll be fun, the Aura Master told himself as he shifted his foot slightly, moving sideways to evade a quick trust of the Ember Blade. A quick thrust from the red haired warrior's fingers turned suddenly into a horizontal slash. Quickly, the fencer's golden blade locked the weapon with his own and a slight smile crossed the fencer's mouth.

Zorlo quickly pushed his hand upwards and knocked the Elemental's hand away, quickly spinning on his heels and driving his boot into the fire warrior's chest, tossing him backwards. As the flame based fighter skidded to a stop in the ground, the fencer thought to himself or a second about something that had just occurred to him. I think I overdid it a bit with that gaudy symbol cut into Blaze's shirt. I'll recall to apologize when this fight is done, the fencer told himself with a smile as he looked towards his foe.

"For now," the fencer started as he rose to his feet and held the blade of Apollo in his right hand as his left hand gripped the handle tightly, "I'm going to showcase one of my moves." An emerald colored flame like substance appeared around the golden blade, spinning up the sword as it quickly and almost instantaneously covered the sword, and the fencer prepared for his next attack. "Aura Slash!" the Aura Master yelled as he swung his blade downwards, releasing a vertical, blunt aura wave towards Blaze.

OoC: Oh, and as for your character and magic, Sorry. ^_^;; Zorlo's more looking into Blaze's aura, which has a definite color given the element he can control and size based on how much Blaze is showing at that moment, tis all. Sorry bout that. ^_^;;

As the green energy flew towards him, Blaze stood still and held his hand out. But when the energy got close, he quickly shifted to a defensive stance. The attack hit Blaze with a great force and knocked him back into the center tree. Blaze fell on his hands and knees, breathing heavily. Zorlo raised an eyebrow.

"I'm surprised you didn't dodge that," said Zorlo as he walked forward, "I mean, it wasn't that fast." Blaze smiled and stood up.

"I took a direct hit just to see how strong it was," he said as he wiggled and stretched his arms out. "Well, that, and I thought it was a fire-based attack." Zorlo laughed a little. Ok, he uses a strange energy that can be launched from a distance. In addition to that, the energy is a very powerful force with intense impact, The Elemental thought as he looked at the tree behind him. There was a large area where the bark had fallen off from the hit. "Alright, on with the fight." He released his Ember Blade once more, but this time the fire extended out from his fingers. The fiery blade was now a meter long. Blaze leaned forward with his right arm across his chest. He readied an Ember with his left hand and aimed it at the swordsman. Zorlo gripped his sword and prepared to parry.

Blaze fired the Ember and, at the same time, dashed towards Zorlo. The Elemental swung his Ember Blade diagonally downwards. Zorlo quickly parried the attack and prepared to strike. He attacked with a quick thrust, but Blaze dodged and fell to the ground. Before Zorlo could attack again, he was hit with the same Ember Blaze fired a second ago. The explosion knocked the swordsman off his feet. Blaze, still on the ground, shifted his body and fired another Ember at the still airborne man. The second Ember launched him further back. Before he was about to hit the ground, Zorlo planted his right hand on the ground and flipped himself up.

Blaze stood up and dashed towards Zorolo who was still a bit unbalanced. Right when Zorlo got his balance, he got attacked from the right. Blaze stepped back and noticed the cut didn't penetrate. The coat Zorlo had on also had a chain-mail hidden within it. He did still manage to cut a burn in the armor. With a bit more power, I'll be able to cut through that fully, he thought to himself.

"The fire you control must be very hot to burn through my armor," said Zorlo and he readied to attack. Blaze dashed forward once more, but was cut short when Zorlo disappeared and punched him from underneath. Zorlo's punch was so powerful that it sent Blaze flying about ten meters into the air. He then followed up with an Aura Slash. Acting fast, Blaze fired an Ember to dodge the energy. He then expelled some fire from his hands to soften his landing. The Elemental stood up and raised his Ember Blade in defense.

So, either this human is as strong as Flash in Base Form or those gloves of his enhance his strength somehow, thought Blaze analyzing his opponent. I've got to be careful. He seems to have learned new techniques and obtained more weapons since our last fight. If only Lumis were here. He'd be able to find a way to approach this guy.

The Aura Master's gauntlet smoked a little bit from the attack. Luckily I had time to slip these on when Blaze wasn't looking. I see he's learned now to extend that blade, so I can worry less about cutting off his fingers if I really make my sword sharp. Anyway... the fencer thought about his armor, namely the holes burned in the back of his coat. I need to be careful of his blade or else he'll cut through my armor. Not that it matters. If he turns up the heat enough, even I'll feel the burn, Zorlo joked as he readied to use Apollo.

Zorlo chuckled mentally as he noticed his foe wasn't down any longer. Now things are getting interesting, the Aura Master told himself as Blaze rushed towards the green haired man. The Elemental swung his flame blade quickly and the fencer swung his rapier to guard, a powerful pulse running between the weapons as they struck and the fencer held the sword back, smiling as the green haired man pushed the fire blade upwards and swung his sword horizontally. The fire wielder stepped back, narrowly evading the golden sword as he thrust his own flame blade. To this, the Aura Master quickly moved his gauntlet and grabbed the sword of flames.

"You're skill with this weapon is most impressive," the fencer stated as aura began to glow around his hand as he squeezed the blade, scattering the flames and causing Blaze to leap back, looking at his now third of a meter blade. "However, my aura affords me certain advantages you see," the fencer stated as he moved his fingers of his right hand freely a bit. The Aura Master smiled as he watched the fire Elemental lengthen his sword again and aim his fingers again, clearly ready to continue.

The two burst into a run, running parallel to each other in a straight dash, both readying to strike, but neither did. Finally, a beam of flame rushed towards the fencer, who simply swatted the attack away with his empty hand and rushed forwards, thrusting his rapier a few times. The fire innate bobbed and weaved around the attacks, evading any real harm and locking swords with the fencer. Aura burned around the green haired man's sword and the flames grew fiercer around the Ember Blade as the two forces pushed together.

Zorlo placed his free hand against the blade of his sword and began to gather power into the sword at a greater rate. "Aura Slash!" he yelled again, releasing the full extent of his collected energy and shattering the Ember Blade and sending the fire warrior soaring backwards with a blunt strike of the diagonal blade. "Blaze, I can feel you're stronger than this. If you continue to fight like this, I'll only over power you in the end. All of the skills I've used so far are my weakest level and I'm not even warmed up yet. I'll fight more seriously if, and only if, you can give me a reason to!" the Aura Master stated, his aura suddenly erupting around his body in the form of beautiful emerald colored flame. Zorlo would fight with a bit more power behind his attacks now.

"Hm. If I remember correctly, Zorlo, you asked me to spar with you," Blaze said as his Ember Blade disappeared. "To me a spar is a friendly fight meant to test each fighter's skills. It's obvious that both of us were holding back. So, I mean no disrespect, but do not think that you can overpower me so easily." The air around Blaze got even hotter. Then, the fire warrior surrounded himself with a fire aura. The flames swirled around him and ignited the grass around his feet.

"So, you can become even more powerful in this stage," said Zorlo with a smirk. "So, my question is do you have anymore transformations?"

"Let's just say that at this very moment I am showing you 25% of my full power. You are probably in a similar situation where you have your Base Form, a transformation and an extension of each form. Perhaps your transform isn't as physical as mine, but I can sense you are also only shelling out a quarter or less of you true strength," said Blaze as he knelt down and stared at a flower. "However, when the time comes to fight at our fullest," he sighed as he grabbed the flower without burning it, "I suggest we move somewhere else. Otherwise, this forest will be destroyed and Lily will kill me." Zorlo smiled.

"Agreed. Such a place should not be destroyed because of our carelessness." The swordsman swung his sword around and pointed at Blaze. He said, "Shall we continue?" Blaze stood up and brought the flower up to his face. The flower caught on fire, but it didn't burn. Blaze threw it at Zorlo. It floated down next to Zorlo's feet. The fire around the flower started to burn the grass along with the flower. Zorlo looked back at Blaze who held his palm out and rose it up. The fire from the ground shot up and formed a pillar of fire. Zorlo almost got caught but stepped back in time just to get a little of his coat. As he panned the fire off his coat, Blaze launched out of the pillar with an Ember Blade on his right hand. He swung horizontally and knocked Zorlo's sword out of the way. He then opened his left palm in front of Zorlo's face and created a small Firewall that pushed Zorlo back.

Zorlo regained control of his sword and prepared to counterattack. He sliced the weak Firewall away and saw a bright light. Blaze had formed ten small Ember balls over each finger and fused them into one. "10x Ember!" Blaze screamed as a large beam of fire launched forward. Zorlo quickly readied his weapon and his gauntlet. The both started to glow of the same green energy. He then placed his sword in front of him using his gauntlet to support his sword. The swordsman braced for impact and tried to knock the beam away. However, as soon as the beam collided with the sword, there was a huge explosion that engulfed Zorlo and several trees behind him.

When the smoke cleared Zorlo was still standing in a crater of ash and dirt in the same stance. His coat was semi-burned along with the rest of his clothes. So, that green arua of his protected him from any real damage, thought The Elemental as he analyzed his opponent. "You see Zorlo," said Blaze, "now I'm faced with a decision. Should I use a stronger attack or should I just transform to get past that Aura of yours?"

"Good question," the Aura Master stated as he rested his sword on his shoulder and smiled. "However, my friend, I cannot answer that question for you. You must answer that question for yourself. Use whatever you deem necessary, but do keep one thing in mind," the fencer stated as he held up one finger to Blaze. "Your fire isn't going to work more than once after I've seen an attack. My aura isn't about to be pushed around by flames. Perhaps it is time I show you what I mean."

The sound of Zorlo's sword sheathing echoed as the fencer knocked his gauntlets together and stood his ground bravely. A massive column of fire formed from Blaze's fingers and he swung the blade with a mass of power behind it, but the Aura Master didn't flinch. As the flames struck, the cushion of green flames rose up around the fencer and the pillar scattered around rapidly. The remains of the fire floated around as embers until it finally fizzled out, and the fencer looked at the Elemental again. Although the fire warrior seemed a bit surprised, he didn't stop as he began to gather up what seemed to be another ten times strength Ember.

The green haired man sighed as he balled up his left fist and began to channel aura into his fist. Quickly, a powerful surge of green flame covered the fencer's fist as he watched closely. The sudden movement of a wall of fire told the Aura Master another distraction was on its way. With his empty right hand, the green haired man swatted the fire wall away and fired off his, "Aura Blast!" technique towards the fire innate. The innate unleashed his 10X Ember, and the two forces clashed wildly, unleashing a blast of fire and aura scattering about.

Dust, ash and dirt finally settled as a crater stood between the two and Zorlo rested his right forearm upon the handle of his sword. The Aura Master looked at the fire Elemental, who seemed to be smiling, and the fencer smiled back as he drew Apollo again. "I think that makes your choice clear," the green haired man stated as he stepped forwards, readying to strike again. "My powers haven't quite broken thirty-five percent yet, so you're going to have to try much harder if you want to see my full power," the fencer stated as his aura danced violently around him.

"So, which will you do?!" Zorlo called over to the fire warrior, pointing the golden blade of his sword at Blaze, hoping to force the man to use something near his full power. Then, and only then, would the fencer finally have a worthy challenger, he thought. Still, the Aura Master didn't fret. Fire hadn't worked to harm him before, even without his armor, he wouldn't let it harm him now.

The Fire Elemental groaned and sighed. He stretched his arms out and cracked his knuckles. "You seem determined to fight at a high level," said Blaze as he walked over to Zorlo. "If I'm to do this I need you to do several things for me." Blaze and Zorlo were now two meters apart. Their auras were violently clashing against each other. "First, I need you to cut me with your sword," said Blaze as he held out his right arm. Zorlo looked at the Elemental with a raised eyebrow. The swordsman shrugged and made a cut on Blaze's arm. "Shi-Ow! Pretty sharp sword you’ve got there. Hurt more than I thought."

"Apollo is a very sharp rapier," said Zorlo as he lifted it in the air. "It is made of an unbreakable material." Blaze laughed.

"Unbreakable? I don't if you've noticed, but breaking isn't my thing," Blaze said as he held up a small sphere of fire in his left hand. "Now, I've only done this twice so it might take a while. Also, you might want to step back." Zorlo stepped back about five meters. "You might want to move further back. I can't control this release very well." Zorlo smiled as his aura swirled around him forming a layer of green energy over his body.

Blaze shrugged and placed the sphere next to his new cut. He spread his legs out and placed his right hand on his right knee. He took a deep breath and inserted the fire into the cut. His skin began to turn light red/pink and sweat dripped off every pore on his body. As the sweat left his body, it immediately evaporated and gave off a hissing sound, which gave an image of Blaze's body steaming. He placed his left hand on the grass, which ignited before his hand got close. The air in the forest became even hotter. Zorlo didn't need to use Spectral Sight anymore because Blaze's aura was visible to the naked eye. The heat, steam, and embers of leaves danced around the Fire Elemental. Suddenly, a wave of fire launched out of Blaze's body and set several trees aflame.

Acting quickly, Zorlo extinguished the flames using his aura. However, another fire wave was unleashed. Zorlo tried his best to contain the fire, but there was too much and several more trees were set ablaze. The swordsman then noticed that the grass around Blaze was on fire and was quickly spreading. Right when the tree next to Blaze caught on fire, Blaze lifted his left hand and all the fire destroying the forest was drawn towards his hand. "Ok, so forget about full power," said Blaze as he absorbed the fire in his body, "I think we should leave this forest now." Blaze stood up straight and revealed that his hair had turned into fire, his skin was pinkish, and his entire body was steaming. "Also, I suggest you keep that aura of yours up, Zorlo. If I was to estimate, the air here is now around seventy-five degrees Celsius. And this is as low as I can get it in this form."

"Interesting. I don't think these trees will last long," said Zorlo as he sheathed his sword. "Follow me. I know of a place near here that can withstand fire and destruction."

OoC: Sorry about the hiatus. And sorry for leaving you with the job of finding a new place.

Zorlo held his arm out and smiled as energy danced about the area and formed a door out of thin air. "This will do fine," the fencer stated as he opened the door and waited. "You first, I'll show you where we're going once you're inside," the Aura Master stated as the fire Elemental entered the door and the fencer followed, shutting the door behind himself. Now then, it was the call of the Dome where the two would fight next.

The two had entered Zorlo's room, a more volatile place then they had left for fire to spread, but the green haired man merely snapped his fingers and a massive, green cylinder fell over a large part of the room as the trees began to combust. The fencer slid back on his heels nonchalantly as the trees of the jungle were quickly reduced to not but ash. Although the jungle would be dead in this area until the battle ended, the Dome had powers beyond natural powers. It would rebuild the fencer's room after this fight. What good luck.

"Now then," the fencer stated as he held one finger up and and lowered his head, smiling as the raging inferno about him swallowed up the forest within the walled off area, "there are two things you should know. For one, this place is magical, so the trees here will be back to their full height in a day or two, so don't worry about that." The Aura Master paused and crossed his arms over his chest. "The second thing you need to know is that you weren't fully correct. I have been holding back, but my power wasn't quite at a forth before. More about ten to fifteen percent," Zorlo stated as his aura began to swirl wildly around him.

"Unlike fire, my aura isn't very destructive as I increase the amount. In fact, it's actually helpful, mostly in this kind of setting," the fencer stated, pointing at the blazing tempest around them. "Now, I'll show you thirty five percent," the fencer stated as the emerald flames from his body exploded and pushed outwards, swallowing up the entire incased area, dispelling some of the flames around the two. However, Blaze had effectively defended again the attack and fire where he was still burned strong.

Zorlo smiled as his aura danced around his body wildly. "No matter how hot your power can make it, my aura can cool it down," the fencer stated confidently as he rested Apollo on his shoulder and quickly began to increase his power to the limit of his natural state. "Fifty percent. That's all I'll need here," the fencer stated. Now, he could push his body to limits humans couldn't even imagine. Now the green haired man could fight to his potential.

Blaze looked around Zorlo's room. The room had walls but still had tall trees growing inside. Trees meant oxygen and oxygen meant fire. However, if Blaze wanted to keep up with Zorlo he would have to reach his full power in Ascended Form. This would cause all the trees to burn almost instantly. Alright, I'm thinking too much. This is not my style at all, Blaze thought to himself as he pushed his power to fifty percent. Small patches of fire appeared on Blaze's open skin. At this point, the air itself seemed to be flames. The entire floor was steaming from the two fighters' auras.

"I'm sorry, Zorlo, but as I told you before I don't have much experience with this form," Blaze said as he extended his hand out with an Ember ready to fire, "So, I have to fight using a different style. Ember." Suddenly Zorlo felt like someone pushed him from behind, knocking him off balance. He then got hit with the Ember. It didn't cause any pain but the explosion still sent him backwards. Zorlo regained his footing and appeared to the left of Blaze. He then followed up with a series of rapid thrusts. Blaze dodged most of them, but the ones that did connect ended up being blocked by the flames on his body. Zorlo spun around on his heels and faced the Elemental's back. As he prepared to strike a small fireball appeared in front of Zorlo. Blaze snapped his fingers and the ball released a large explosion that pushed both fighters against the wall.

Now, at opposing sides, Blaze created a spherical Firewall around the green swordsman. Zorlo's aura quickly destroyed the fire but was inside long enough to be launched in the air. Using his aura, Zorlo stayed in the air to avoid attacks. Blaze prepared to fire another 10x Ember. Zorlo used his aura to fly down towards him, but was stopped by another Firewall. He dispelled it but then noticed he was surrounded by several fireballs. "10x Ember." Zorlo quickly shielded himself as a 10x Ember fired from each of the fireballs. The explosion filled up two-thirds of the room while the smoke covered the rest.

Before the smoke could clear, Zorlo appeared behind Blaze and fired a close range Aura Blast followed by an Aura Slash. Blaze was propelled by the force of the Aura Blast to the other side of room and was then hit by the Aura Slash. As the smoke cleared from Blaze's attack, there was an imprint of Blaze's body on the wall but both fighters looked as if nothing happened. There were no wounds, burns, or cuts. Even their clothes didn't seemed damaged. Zorlo rested Apollo on his shoulder and Blaze did the same with his Ember Blade. The two fighters looked at each other and said in unison, "This is going to take a while."

The Aura Master rested his blade on his shoulder and smiled. The land around him began to melt. The ground itself began to liquify and the air began to combust. Oxygen would have gotten short, had a massive number of trees around the walled in area not continued to fill the room with additional oxygen. To some, this place would have appeared to be hell. An inferno within a confined area, the heat of the flames eating everything that stood in its path up. However, there was one area where no flame could reach, and that area was slowly expanding.

Dust and ash rose from under the Aura Master's aura as he increased the area covered by the emerald, flame like energy that pulsed around him. Flame and heat were repelled by the force of spirit and soul flowing from within the fencer out into the world around. The green haired man looked at the raging inferno that was his foe and smiled as he lowered his sword to his side. Zorlo slightly slashed his sword from right to left and a burst of aura erupted from around him as a horizontal blade of aura was released instinctively by the blade.

The Ember Blade moved quickly, locking with the Aura Slash, and after a moment, a burst of energy erupted, the aura scattered, but the Ember Blade extinguished, if only for a moment. The fencer's sword danced with his natural aura about it, burning brightly from the blade. For the first time, the fencer noticed at this level this power, his body instinctually released blades of aura from the blade of his swords when he swung it to reduce the extremely high pressure of the massive amount of energy being released. This battle had ceased being one of might, brawn and speed. Instead, it was a battle of endurance. Whoever gave out first lost. That was how this battle seemed.

"Sorry about that," Zorlo stated as he left his sword at his side with a smile. "It seems that with half of my energy active, the amount of power I'm releasing is so high that simply swinging my sword releases Aura Slashes. I can't control that, and I'm sorry, but with that knowledge, I know one thing." The Aura Master paused as his power flared up more furiously. "I can't lose!" the green haired man stated as he swung his sword horizontally again and released a massive wave of aura. "Aura Getsuga!"
