Yamari

We're full! Sorry!

BiC:

---

Maloe's two inch long wings made a somewhat pleasant energetic sound as she fluttered her tiny body through the cloudless sky. She breathed in the fresh summer morning's air, and the sun soaked her skin in a rejuvenating sense. Her tousled head of hair whipped around her heart shaped face as she suddenly changed directions.

The iron dressing her body, made disoriented clanks as she came to a soft landing on a elongated tree branch, fresh with lush leaves and mid summer dew from the rain. The shade hit her cold, and her skin tingled; she felt exasperated.

As her head hit the coolness of the tree trunk, her eyes scanned the far off distant that the feild before her seemed to tie into. It spread out wide with a sheet of green grass, tucked nicely at every corner. She saw nothing esle, except the random tree that showed up sporadically.

She hugged her match stick close while she turned on her side hoping to catch a few Z's before continuing on with her pilgrimage.

OoC: Ok, now GO! ^_^

OoC: Your wish is my command.

BiC: It was mid-dawn on a hot summer day when the young ice warrior, Ceto, trotted along a dusty path through an open field. He recently awoke from a night's sleep, with a few hours of practice floating in his mind. As the ice warrior's large hooves beat through the dirt and kicked up dust, Ceto eyed his surroundings carefully in search for a good practice spot to train with his prime weapon, an ice staff by the name of Blizzaron. However, he wasn't finding any luck, as the field was bare as far as the eye could see. Not a tree, bush, or rock was in sight and the grass around Ceto was browning, giving a hint that the plain had not had any rain in quite sometime.

The heat intesified by the time the sun had completely risen into the sky. Ceto could feel it beating down on his fur and skin, but carried on nonetheless. Now, however, he was not only looking for a place to train, but a watering hole or something of the sort as well due to a developing thirst. Still, as Ceto carried on, nothing came into view, not even a mere rock. By now, Ceto was galloping, desperate to find water and a target for practice. Due to Ceto being quite fast on his hooves, the empty land passed by quickly, and pretty soon, something did come into view.

Ceto couldn't tell what it was at first, but as he gradually drew closer to the object, he noticed that it was a tree, a lone tree in the middle of the plain with a pond right beside it. The ice warrior made a quick halt right in front of the tree, and thought it perfect for training. He filled himself up on the flowing water in the pond on as much of it as he could and drew Blizzaron from its strap sheath upon his back. Ceto faced the tree with a forming smile on his face. He twirled the staff in his hands and struck two mighty blows across the middle of the trunk. The tree shook a little in the process, however, Ceto was unable to notice. He continued striking the tree and then decided to give Blizzaron's ice magic a good practice for a little while.

After Ceto chose which move to practice with, he then caused one of Blizzaron's navy blue orbs to glow with the magic of ice and fired an Ice Beam directly at the tree. About half the trunk became frozen as a result and the tree shook even more. Suddenly, something emitted a high pitched plea that startled Ceto in his tracks and noticed that something fall from the tree.

"What the...?!" he exclaimed, jumping backwards a little. On the ground in front of him was none other than a fairy, a creature Ceto had once heard about from his mother. He simply stood there and didn't make a move as the fairy stirred and immediately forgot about the frozen tree beside him.

OoC: YAY! ^__^ Let it begin! You bugger! Ice is Maloe’s number one weakness. XD

-----

The chill of the ice caught her off guard so badly that the only thing her brain could afford at the time was a high pitched yelp, which indeed did emit quite enormously from her body. Her heart raced. She was terrified of ice and all things pertaining to it, so as her small body lay in a crumpled uneasy heap, she wondered how in the world a tree could turn into a solid matter of ice, when the surrounding temperature was no way near the freezing point.

Her heart beat wildly, as if a drum was deep within her; it pulsed through her ears as she looked up into the face of a rather striking man. His features were vividly defined, and his head was a mass of beautiful hair that fell over his face perfectly. Ah, it didn’t matter how beautiful he was; it still didn’t give justification unto why the tree was now an icicle.

Maloe got up, her armor clanking together, and dusted her self off, muttering curses in various different languages. She finally looked up at the man, fury freshly ablaze in her eyes, and pointed a petite finger in his general direction, “Listen here buddy, jus... – whatever words came next were garbled and came into a sloppy mess. Maloe’s eyes widened as they scrutinized the framework of this creature, who she thought was a human being.

“What in the…” Maloe’s thoughts trailed off, “What are you?”

The creature stood incredibly tall, with a poise of a royal man. He looked down at her, with a surprised face, but didn’t speak – he probably didn’t hear her. He stood strong with four muscular legs that ended with hooves. This guy was half horse.

“The nerve of this guy.” Maloe thought to herself.

Oh well, it didn’t matter if he could hear her or not, he was going to pay; Maloe made sure of it.

“You like to play with ice, eh?” Maloe asked, caring not if the man heard her, “Now you’re gonna get burned.”

Maloe gripped her match stick and striked the tree trunk; there was a small crack and soon Maloe could feel the heat of the fire.

She smirked, “Now, this might hurt a little.”

She lunged for the creature’s leg, and grinned when she heard the sizzling of skin.

OoC: Okay, I swear I didn't know ice was your fairy's weakness until after I decided to use Ceto.

BiC: Ceto looked around and saw the tiny fairy had disappeared after he thought he heard a small sound coming from it. At first he thought she'd flown away, however when he thought smelled something cooking, he realized his leg was burning. Ceto widened his eyes and opened his mouth.

"YOW OW!" he screamed, trying to shake the fairy and flames off of his fur. He suddenly started leaping around the tree and pond as if he were a bronco, his dark red hair bouncing upon his head. His tail swished in the wind as he kept trying to shake the gripping fairy off. Just as this fairy was finally about to let go, Ceto suddenly toppled over and fell into the pond. Luckily for them, it was only knee deep.

Ceto sat up and shook his head. He noticed a patch of his leg fur was now gone after the water put the flames out. Ceto gasped at the sight, anger forming in his mind. Not only did he hate fire, but it was his biggest weakness as well. As well as Ceto's own body, Blizzaron would not stand a good chance against any kind of fire magic. Shaking himself off, Ceto stood up in the pond.

"Now where did that blasted fairy go?!" he exclaimed as he scrutinized the area. Ceto spotted the fairy at the edge of the pond to his left and pointed Blizzaron directly at her. She gasped in fear when she saw the blue orb in front of her.

"Aha. Now I've got you," Ceto said. "I didn't want to have to do this, but for my own sake I must!" With that, Ceto began twirling the staff as both orbs on it lit up in light and fired a massive Blizzard attack. The little fairy tried to fly away, but the blizzard was too quick.

Before she knew it, snow and wind blew her into a bush beside the tree. Ceto was pushed backwards slightly from the wind and snow's velocity. When he stopped twirling Blizzaron, the bush, pond and parts of the tree were all covered in snow, making look like a true blizzard really had hit. Ceto smiled and twirled Blizzaron once again in his hands while standing there.

"Hehe," he said to himself. "You may be small, but that doesn't make you a difficult target for wide ranged attacks." With that, Ceto stood there and practiced striking the tree while Blizzaron's magic fully charged again.

____

Maloe’s face turned a bright red as her stomach twisted into several knots of anger - she was seething, and the steam literally fumed from her ears as she got up and shook the pile of snow that was encasing her. The snow seemed to melt as her body turned hot with fury. How this horse-man was going to pay. She could hear the resounding thuds of something as her tiny body surfaced from the bush that appeared as if winter had arrived. She gazed upon the horse-man pounding away at the tree’s base, aggravation written across his face; Maloe smiled to herself, she got him going. Which is what precisely the horse-man did to her, and she could feel her body weakening as the iciness of the snow soaked into her delicate skin cells, diminishing her strength slowly.

The horse-man made, in no doubt, a big mistake. Maloe’s hand was vibrating as her fingers tightened their grip around the match stick; her whole body was just screaming for a chance to get this guy, and get him good. She flipped through her mind like a filing cabinet, and upon reaching the appropriate revenge; a vehement smirk crawled across her face. Maloe made sure the horse-man didn’t see her, as she stayed low to the ground, being as invisible as she possibly could. Her flickering wings stirred the ice cold water slightly as she approached the broad behind of the horse-man.

“This one is for all that cursing snow you indulged me in.” she whispered to herself, “And I hope you feel it for years to come.”

Maloe held a closed hand over the head of her match stick, mouthed a few words, and as her fingers stretched out, so did a small flame. She blew into it, resulting in it growing bigger, turning a slight colour of blue. It was much bigger than last time, which was her primary goal.

“Oh, buddy this is gonna hurt.” She chuckled to herself.

Maloe swallowed hard, out of pure excitement, and held the match stick firmly with both hands using all the upper body strength she could assemble; she breathed in before she sprang for the horse-mans’ behind. A roar of pain and a hard swat with the creature’s tail sent her world spinning.

OoC: Sorry for the wait; I'll be using Winona, in the dashing pink character button.

IC:

Green grass and sun stretched out across every expanse of Winona’s vision. Cassidy was trotting happily alongside her, occasionally stopping in his tracks to bask in the radiating light.

“So what shall we do today, Cassidy?” Winona enquired lightly. After sorting out some money troubles, Winona had never felt better on earth. Cassidy had similar sentiments.

“Anything we want to, dear.” he replied with a feline smile. “It is just so easy to forget about war and everything else here.”

Winona simply nodded. They walked on for some time in the never-ending meadow, Winona intermittently conjuring water from the humidity around them. It seemed everything was going right. She didn’t even feel the need to levitate; the luscious grass tickled her bare feet in a way that was just heavenly.

Conversation between the two was light, never going beyond anything more provocative than the weather or shopping plans. Everything was just perfect.

Suddenly, she heard a deep, piercing cry of pain that it agonized her to hear. “What’s this then?” she muttered inwardly. All need for peace and harmony had been extinguished, yet again replaced by the burning desire for salvation. The Strael hurriedly threw her sandals back on and lifted herself and Cassidy on a disk of air. They sped towards the scene of the cries faster then humanly possible, and gasped in unison at the sight before them.

A lone tree was covered in glittering ice, and a pond was rippling as the last remnants of a snow storm slowly dissolved. But that hadn’t been the cause of their shock: an odd mutation between man and horse – nothing like Winona had ever witnesses before – had grabbed his rear, while unsuccessfully muffling squeals of blunt pain. His tail was flailing about madly, and it looked sturdy enough to do some damage.

As the duo sat there watching the mad scene, another odd creature made itself known. A tiny girl, no taller than a needle, with shimmering hair and a suit of armour that didn’t suit her at all heralded her presence with a high-pitched squeak, completely in contrast with the brutish roars exuding from the horse-man.

“You there!” Winona shouted, her voice barely audible beneath the cacophony of shrieks. The miniature girl was the first to notice.

“Yes?” the fairy replied sweetly. “Do you have something to ask?”

“What’s going on here?” Winona murmured. “You’re ruining the perfection of this meadow.” The Strael thought she spied the tiny girl’s annoyance, but she seemingly suppressed it.

“That nasty beast over there poured ice and snow all over my perfect spot!”

“Well that’s not very nice.” Winona was taking her chance at getting to be condescending for once. “What do you say to me teaching him a lesson?”

The fairy nodded enthusiastically, rubbing her hands together as if she would join in.

Finally the other creature seemed to acknowledge Winona’s presence. He had sat down in the pond to numb the pain, making altogether for an incredibly strange sight.

“What do you want?” the centaur asked shyly. Winona was surprised by his manner; she half-expected everything he said to be a deafening howl. She quickly regained focus.

“You’ve been bullying my new friend,” she retorted defiantly, pointing to Maloe. “I don’t take kindly to actions like that.”

The man’s eyes immediately set alight. He was obviously expecting confrontation. Sensing this, Winona drew a thick staff from the ground. The man looked shocked for a moment, but he was sure to not let it show too long. “So it’s a fight you want, then?” Ceto boomed. Finally Winona heard the strength in his voice.

“Well I shan’t disappoint.”

OoC: Maloe doesn't have to be on Winona's side the whole time. I can just as easily cream you in a free-for-all xD.

OoC: I'll definitely continue this.

BiC: "Hey, what's the big idea going against me like this anyway?" Ceto asked. "That little fairy is lying to you. I didn't even know she was there until she fell out of that tree!" The little girl seemed to calm down a little at Ceto's words.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I mean that when I was using the tree for target practice, the fairy fell out of it and I didn't know she was there," Ceto explained, anger burning in his mind. "Then she burned my leg and lit up my rear for a reason I don't know!" Ceto had a fire burning in his belly now. Now enraged in his mind, he wanted to freeze the pesky little fairy to her soul. Suddenly, he grabbed the fairy in his hands and demanded that she tell the truth. The fairy squealed before she could get any words out and struggled to break free. However, Ceto was much too strong for her tiny body.

"No, no!" she exclaimed. "I honestly thought what I said! Let me go NOW!" Suddenly, the fairy bit Ceto's hand in the forefinger.

"AAAH!" he screamed as the fairy sunk her little teeth into his finger and right through the fabric of his glove. Ceto dropped her upon the biting. "Alright, that does it! Now I'm really angry!!" Twirling Blizzaron again, Ceto prepared to fight. Just as the staff came to a halt in his hands from being twirled, its blue orbs lit up again and turned into giant snowballs.

Ceto pointed the staff directly at the fairy, who was now lying in front of the little girl. The little girl's eyes widened upon the sight of what Ceto's staff now looked like, as if she still wanted to protect the fairy. Ceto, however, would not stand for it and was prepared to fight both of them if he must. He swished his tail with a serious look on his face right before he would fire a hard-packed snowball. The fairy just lay there, a look of fear on her own face.

OoC: Careful. Ceto's getting into one of his hot-tempered moments.

OoC: Sorry I'm late guys. ^^;

---

The staff inwhich the enraged horse man was holding a hairline away from Maloe's face, glittered as the afternoon sun beat down on them all; it sparkled like a disco ball across Maloe's features which were all soaked in fear. Deep inside, however, her clock was ticking, and with another violent gester from this goof, he would send her into such a fit, the horse man himself would be weak in the knees with abhorrence.

The small child that made an apperance on the scene tickled Maloe's senses, and she knew that this was going to be fun. The small girl stood, with ribbon's in her straight chestnut hair, an innocent look written upon her face. Maloe was inclined to believe that this situation would be hilarous in the eyes of any observer. It seemed that the world's smallest entities decided to partake in a brawl against the world's largest. In didn't matter much in Maloe's mind however; this horse-man was going down.

"Get that thing outta my face, man!" Maloe snapped, but she sighed in frustration upon realizing that neither the horse-man or the small girl picked up on what she was saying.

She looked at the little girl, and even though Maloe was probably to far away for her to see the faces she was making, she still tried to speak with Winona through facial gestures. Dang it for being so small! Maloe had to take this into her own hands, and hopefully Winona would lend a helping hand - since they were now "friends."

As fast as the horse-man's face turned in surprise, Maloe zipped from underneath the staff's dominance and hovered just above Winona's shoulder, whispering in her ear, "You ready for some fun?"

She noticed the corners of the small girl's mouth curl up into a smirk. She was ready.

Maloe struck the match stick head off the chest plate of her armour, and it was ablazed once again.

This was getting serious.

“You ready for some fun?” the voice was tinny and cute, but was seething with malevolence. Winona smirked slightly as she pictured the scene from a witness’s perspective, then she tightened her grip on the staff until her knuckles strained and ached. The horse-man still didn’t move; obviously waiting to counter any glancing blow the duo laid on him. That gave Winona a chance for a furtive strike. Fighting to contain herself, she surreptitiously focused on the impending spell within her. The centaur’s eyes continuously flickered between those of Maloe and Winona, never lingering too long, but when he next gazed at Winona she unleashed the attack.

Maloe only saw the faintest rippling of air as the Strike ravaged through Ceto’s body. He came crashing to his knees, but still grasped the icy staff. Winona winked at Maloe as a signal to attack before launching into her own onslaught. She jumped to dazzling heights with the aid of a supernatural gust, and then shoved the staff into the equestrian side of Ceto’s back. Another roar of pain launched out of him, igniting only the slightest mirth in Winona. She stopped in her tracks in anguish while Maloe seared the mutant’s skin again.

Suddenly another howl raged out of Ceto, but it was different, angrier. He stood up fully and whacked Maloe to the ground with his tail. “I’ve done nothing wrong,” he shrieked as his grip on Blizzaron tightened. He struck out madly at Maloe, who let out an agonizing squeal of pain. It was the next thing that frightened Winona though. He turned around intentionally slowly, malicious fire burning brightly in his eyes. Winona almost lost herself in them, and before she knew it the centaur was on his hind legs, wielding his staff like a sword dealing the final blow. She swiftly exuded two sparks of flame – all she could muster so quickly – at his barren legs. He crashed down onto all fours again and swung the staff wildly, completely rupturing Winona’s own weapon. She lifted herself and Cassidy on a puff of air and sped off to a safe distance, only to have Ceto charge madly right behind her.

Unthinkingly, the Strael created a thick wall of earth between herself and the mad horse-man. His resolve wavered for only a second, accompanied by the clattering cacophony of shattering rocks. He was still coming.

“Stop!” Winona suddenly shrieked. “I forgive you.”

The centaur halted in his tracks.

“I forgive you,” she repeated.

Winona spied the distrust in his eyes.

“So what do you say?”

OoC: The ball is in your court, Yamari darling.

EDIT - Ceto perhaps doesn't need forgiving, it's just Winona's personality that makes her believe she is in the right, and that Ceto was the one out of line. Keep that in mind when writing your reply. o.-

OoC: Sorry I took so long, guys. I forgot about this thread.

BiC: "What do I say?" Ceto said, calming down some. He knew full well that sometimes he needed to control his temper, however it wasn't always easy. Ceto stood upright and refrained from attacking again.

"I say that you're forgiving me for no reason whatsoever," he went on. "I did nothing wrong of the sort. This fairy is the one you should be talking to." The little girl folded her arms, not wanting to believe Ceto for a second.

"Then why does she say you attacked her?" the little girl asked.

"Hmph. Like I said before, I had no idea she was in the tree," Ceto repeated. "She simply mistook my Ice Beam practice for an attack upon her." The little girl grew angry and glared at Ceto. He simply raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Why should I believe that?!" the girl exclaimed. "She can't be that hard to spot! Look at her, you bully!"

"WHAT?!" Ceto exploded. "Of course she's hard to spot! Look how small she is! And how dare you call me a bully when I never meant to bully anyone in the first place!" Ceto's mind was by now boiling, no matter how hard he tried not to explode in rage again.

"Well, you sure have the temper to do it with!" the little girl shot back. Ceto then gripped Blizzaron tightly in anger.'

"You know what?! I don't have to listen to this!" he yelled. With that, Blizzaron's blue orbs lit up again and this time Ceto fired a powerful Ice Blast straight for the little girl. Before she could move any, it struck her hard and froze her in her tracks. The fairy gasped and started fluttering around the little girl while Ceto twirled Blizzaron once and sheathed it.

"Hehe, you can't fight if you're frozen," he sneered. "I'm outta here." Ceto started to trot away into the horizon. However, Ceto was unaware that the fairy wasn't going to give up so easily and forgot that she could use fire. Regardless, he kept moving, hoping he was through with her and the little girl for good.

OoC: It's up to you guys to draw Ceto back into the battling.

OOC: Here's my reply, guys! :3

Maloe, after so long of taking this all in, decided she wouldn’t correct the small girl’s misunderstanding, especially considering the fact that she didn’t quite understand her own misconstrue; maybe Ceto didn’t mean to attack her. However, as Maloe fluttered there weightlessly in the air, she felt the icy smoke resonating from the small girl, who now seemed to be dressed in ice, and as it tinkled her skin, her blood roared in hot resentment and she went for the horse-mans’ behind – it’s his own fault for turning around to leave.

She breathed in deep and planted a fiery kiss on the other side of the horse-man’s bottom, and she was smart this time to dodge his flailing heavy tail as he yelped around in pain; he must’ve been getting used to this already; but the contorted expression of pain, surprise and blind rage on the horse-man’s face gave Maloe a whole fresh start to beginning this battle once again, where the horse-man thought he had finished it.

Maloe snickered to herself as her wings buzzed with speed as she gained ground to the small, frozen girl. She was quick with her job, and she gritted her teeth as she planted her tiny hands on the ice and the sizzling of it melting resounded. Oh, how she hated everything at the moment. Upon the hot sunny day crawling back on the girl’s body, she gasped and shook. Maloe could quite sympathize with her as she stuck her hands into her armor, wanting warmth.

The horse-man was gaining up on them with his nostrils flared. Maloe quickly gripped her match and struck it on the girl’s should who snapped back with a bit of pain. Pretty soon the wind howled and the girl’s dress and hair were being whipped about her, cascading with the swirling wind. Maloe, despite her size and weight fluttered without much trouble from the strong wind. After all she had conjured it. The wind was now in a full throttled tornado, with girl and fairy at the very top, looking rather cozy amongst the roaring and violent gusts.

“You know,” Maloe started, “If you stick with me, I could really help you. I’m known for that. Like… literally. I can make you do things you couldn’t do before. I don’t know exactly what, seeing how I haven’t quite done this before, but it’s my life purpose….”

Maloe trailed off upon the realization that the only reply she was getting was a stiff confused look from the girl, who probably could care less of what Maloe could give her, and cared more for answers on why she was now feeling rather comfortable, yet strange, atop a spinning tornado.

“You’ll get used to it.”
