Midnight Showdown (MrRandom, avyuir, Radkin_Blade?)
OoC:The setting here is NYC. Just a change of pace from the usual rural settings. We're gonna fight, but try not to kill anyone.
BiC:Rethir wandered through the huge city aimlessly. He hadn't expected to find the hero in this dimension, but wanted a break from the endless forests. One of the Dome's exits had provided him with an entrance to this dimension. He kept to the back alleys, having drawn stares in the more public of places. He looked at a clock on a neon sign. 11:48. Just enough time to get to the meeting point where he and some of his friends had agreed to battle. He arrived in Times Square on the stroke of Midnight. Just in time to meet his freinds. He looked around for anyone he regognized, now ignoring the stares, but he saw no one. Yet...

OoC: Please type the story. This is different that the IC thread. Yeah, it's a friendly match.
BiC: Rethir spotted a figure moving with a familiar gait. He instantly recognized Radkin and thought he'd give his contemplative friend a surprise. With a huge leap, he landed on a small ledge just above Radkin. He dropped down behind him, rolled between his legs, and popped up in front of him. "Rad! Good to see you!"

Falenor walked out of the giant library with a book in his hand. He'd been referred to this library as one of the best in the world, and he wasn't disappointed; there was information here that even the Internet couldn't locate. The book was entitled "The other sentient races of the Universe", and had actually been buried at the back of the library. Literally. Just stuck underground in a plastic case in some dark corner of the massive building. There were very few copies in existence, and they were all hidden in some fashion so the public wouldn't find them.
But it's easy when you know where to look, he thought, and it's easy to find that out with abilities such as mine. It had still been a difficult task though. The library was like a maze in some respects, and he suspected that this might have been intentional, for the book just happened to be at the end of it. The shelves were aligned normally for the most part, but started crossing themselves in funny ways as you got closer to the book's location. And they got dustier, as if no-one bothered to go there anymore. In fact, walking towards the book almost felt like walking back through time; the shelves and got progressively older-looking, and the floor slowly changed from polished marble to varnished wood to, eventually, just dirt, which of course was where the book had been buried. He carried the book under his cloak so people wouldn't see it and headed toward Times Square. He hoped he wouldn't be late for the friendly battle he'd agreed to join with that Zora. The Zora hadn't said too much about himself, which was why he went looking for the book : know your enemy as they always say. He walked into the square at a few minutes past midnight and saw the Zora and another human standing nearby. He walked over and suggested they sit down on a nearby park bench and wait for the other combatants. "Sorry I'm a bit late, but I had to go pick this up," he said as he pulled the book out and showed it to the Zora. He opened the book to page 42; there was an entry on Zoras there with a brief history of the race, their abilities in general, and a couple of other vital and interesting facts. After reading this through, he gave the book to Rethir so he could browse through it, telling him to give it to Radkin once he was done with it. With that, he turned away and looked off into the distance, trying to see if the others were coming. He looked around the square, also; it looked perfectly normal, despite the Zora sitting next to him. He suddenly realized something and turned back to Rethir and Radkin. "I don't think we should hold the battle in the Square...apart from weirding out the locals, police might show up. So where do you suggest we hold the battle once everyone arrives?" OoC : How was that? Also, let's not go too far until avyuir has had a chance to post.

OoC: That looks great. I had the idea of moving the battle to the rooftops or the sewers. I thought of the sewers so Rethir could swim there, but that wouldn't be too New York-y. I don't really care.
BiC: Rethir absentmindedly flipped through the book. It was a huge masterpeice, that must have taken a thousand lifetimes to compile. He found the entry labeled "Human." It was a huge section, and he breifly skimmed it, then after finding that, gave the Hylian and Sheikah sections a good look over too.

Falenor pulled out his staff and leaned on it. The book had been a ways underground; it had been exhausting work getting to it. He stood up and walked around the square, hardly noticed by the citizens, even with his staff and cloak. Oddities are no new thing in New York, it seemed.
He thought for a minute about a good location to battle. He thought about the sewers briefly until he realized that there was no way in hell he was going down there unless he had to. Then he thought rooftops...but that would give him an unfair advantage; none of the others could fly, so far as he knew. Plus, they might still be seen out the window if he used an attack that gave off light. He couldn't come up with a satisfactory solution that staged the fight in the city, and he didn't know the surrounding geography too well, being rather new to this planet. He headed over to Rethir and started discussing the situation. "I suggest that we go somewhere other than this city to hold the battle. Once everyone shows up, of course. Just think on that; I'll be sitting down over there and trying to clear my mind. When everyone shows up and you make a decision, I'll follow you guys." With that, he sat down on the park bench and closed his eyes, trying to empty his mind of all thought, conscious or otherwise, that wasn't directly related to his survival. He figured that he'd be able to concentrate on one thing better this way, which would in turn increase the intensity of his power. OoC : Radkin, you didn't screw the thread up. You're just new is all. I suggest heading to the Dome for some training; you should have seen what my posts looked like before I went there . Oh, and I won't be back to post here for some 10 to 12 hours.

OoC: Just a word of advice guys, usually in multi person battles, you post first then the next person and thenext until everyone has posted once, then it starts over. Anyways, sorry for the late post ^^
BiC: Emir followed the directions given to her from her friends. They were to hold a friendly battle, but she hadn't realized it was in the middle of a city. Seems I am to leave Valakas here, although, if I were to bring him, it would give me an unfair advantage. She dismounted Valakas near the city's outskirts. Luckily, their had been a small forest like patch of trees that could easily hide him from unsuspecting eyes. When she had reached the city, she saw a few people look at here, more with curiousity than anything else. She was dressed different then them, but they obviously were used to seeing strange people because most of them walked by without a word. She looked at the clock in the sky, it was getting around the time she was supposed to meet them. Emir quickly walked over to the Times Square, she had to run a bit just to keep from showing up late. Emir heard the clock strike midnight for a loud ding-dong could be heard from where she was. Hehe, seems I'm going to be a bit late. She decided to run the rest of the way to the Square, seeing as how she wasn't really all that far from it. She saw Rad, and Rethir, and Falenor all looking around for something to do. She figured she would spook them a bit. Emir blended in with the shadows, since her armour was black and hid well in the dark shadows. She crept slowly to the bench that Falenor was sitting on, silently drawning on of her swords. The sword found itself right in front of Falenor with ease. "Boo"

Rethir jumped and dropped the book. "Don't do that again! I nearly jumped out of my skin! Anyway, Falenor thinks we should hold the battle somewhere other than the city. I still want to be in the city. Maybe we should find some slums or something where no one lives." He looked up at the bright flashing neon signs of the square. "After all, it would be a shame to destroy all of this."
OoC: It's short, and I would have moved them to the slums, but I wanteed your input.

Falenor stood up normally, and his neck passed right through the blade. His blue aura was hidden under his cloak, and hard to see in the moonlight. He turned around and indicated the staff he was holding.
"You didn't think I was just sitting there, did you? No, I was using minor telepathy. I usually do while concentrating, just as a precaution. And because it actually improves my concentration if I set it broadly enough." He got up and paced around the area a couple of times, then thought on what Rethir had said. He remembered passing an abandoned district on the way to the library, and suggested that they go there. He then sat back down on a bench, waiting for input from the others, and resumed minor telepathy. First, though, he changed his form back to the one he had before he'd sensed Emir. OoC : Alright, order it is. Sorry about the short post.

Emir walked around the park, noting every detail and every hiding place. She was unsure of how to fight in this large city, or what await them at every turn.
"So what are we doing boys? Are we fighting here or somewhere else?" Emir looked at the tall scyscrapers, she had never seen such a thing before, however, she figured they would make good lookouts and such. OoC: seems all my posts have been crappy tonight, but this will get us rolling i hope ![]()

"Something tells me fighting here might result in a bit of...unwanted attention. There's a whole area of the city scheduled for demolition, we could head over there and give them a hand with it."
After hearing murmurs of assent from the other participants, Falenor began walking down a nearby street, his mind focused on the battle ahead. As they walked, the buildings appeared increasingly poor, until eventually they reached a large area that was cordoned off with yellow tape. Slipping under it, he motioned for the others to follow. It was no surprise to anybody that the area was going to be demolished. Half of the buildings had already begun to collapse, and of the other half most looked as though they were about to. Some of them were still furnished, though most were completely empty save for a few rats here and there. In the center of the area there was an old, crumbling fountain that looked like it had once been in the shape of a man, but was now almost beyond recognition. A considerable amount of empty space around it suggested that there had once been a park or a square here, before the area fell into disrepair. The fountain was still filled with water, and a fair amount of it too. The air was incredibly stale and dusty, as though they'd just stepped in to some basement that hadn't been opened for centuries. Falenor walked over to the fountain and stood so that it was between himself and his opponents. After a quick talk, they decided to position themselves at equal intervals around the fountain to begin with, with Falenor opposite Emir, and Rethir opposite Radkin. Once everyone was ready, Falenor drew his hood back and his eyes appeared just the slightest bit blue. "Well, who will be striking the first blow, I wonder?" he said, while looking around constantly, awaiting an attack. OoC : Sorry if I picked a bad setting, but I also wanted to get this battle going.

OoC: Perfect! Anyone mind if I add Serpent?
BiC: Rethir drew his oversized blade. "I will!" he said, springing over the fountain at Radkin. The fish man flipped over his friend and landed behind him, dealing him a glancing blow, wich bounced off the futuristic warrior's armor. "Now I'm mad," snarled the human. A pair of guns whipped out swiftly, and Rethir found himself in dire straits. The athletic Zora flipped over the human and delt bim a swift kick to the head.

As the warrior blocks the Zora's kick, he puts guns away and unsheathes his sword in less four seconds. "Bring it on, fish boy!" Taunted the warrior as he charges his blade with electricity. As he's finished, he feels a sharp pain in his side. "HAH! Gotcha!" Rethir had punctured his armour. Rad turns and releases his electricity at Rethir and an explosion blinds everyone within the area.
OoC: How's that? ![]()

OoC: You should only add Serpent if we all agree to be using two BA chars to make it even
BiC: Emir drew out her large polearm and struck out at Falenor, only to have it be deflected right off one of his mental shields he so loved to use. "Oh thats right, you and your psychic abilities" Emir jumped back, and lunged once more, this time straight into the shield with all of her power.Rethir and Radkin were already engrossed in battle, the two locked in combat with a battle wrath in their eyes. Emir couldn't help but smirk, a four-way battle was going to be fun. OoC: wow, totally not one of my better posts . . . but it will get us moving once more i supose

"Yes indeed, though I prefer the term 'force barrier' since it is in fact a barrier made from- gah!" Falenor was cut off mid-sentence by the second strike, which succeeded in shattering the barrier into small pieces. The barrier still absorbed some of the blow and gave Falenor some warning of the strike, so he raised his cloak and hardened it, deflecting the strike but putting some strain on his arm.
With a flick of his wrist, Falenor grabbed the end of the polearm with his hand, which was still covered in the hardened cloak. One kinetically assisted pull later and the polearm was flying away from the battle. Quickly looking around at the environment, he noticed the shards of his force barrier lying on the ground about to dissipate. He lifted them into the air kinetically and sent a barrage of them flying at Emir, keeping his staff handy in case he needed to defend himself. It wouldn't be much use, though; he was too focused on keeping the shards on the right path to really concentrate on his defense. This should be interesting... OoC : *Still rather new to the BA, you know* (Uh, it was Nittle's turn I believe...)

OoC: You have NO idea, Ran. xD
BiC: As the smoke cleared, he found that he had missed. He looks around, but can't seem to spot the fishman. Then, he heard something. His eyes snap in that direction. Then he turns around to find that he's ready to strike. "Oh, no you don't!" he said in a loud voice. As Rethir's stike came, he dodged and attempted to punch him... it misses. Then he jumps above him landing behind the Zora. HE knees hi.m in his back. "That's payback for impaling my back!" He says in a sarcastic tone. OoC: Take that, Rethir. ![]()
