Drunken Expeditions (Niku)
OoC: Well, this is about 3,000 words shorter than my recent intros but it'll do. I'll be using Famulus.
BiC: Famulus sat silently in a heavy wooden chair. His right, armoured arm was cast across his face. A ray of sunshine fell through the open armoury window, illuminating the angel’s magnificent body armour. Its shining white surface was blinding to look at. His hazel eyes were glazed over, staring at the stone floor through the crook of his arm. He was swaying unhealthily. He was drunk. He got up suddenly, his hand sweeping the chair from under him. His eyes were suddenly alive, a deep fury within. He slammed up the armoury door, entering out into the camp courtyard. The moon was h high in the sky. The stars shone brightly. The celestial light did little to enhance the glow from the angelic suit of armour Famulus wore. By its light, he could easily see where he was going, though his drunken state wasn’t much help. The general wandered slowly over to a lone tent. His body rocked dangerously as he walked. His armoured hand tore open the tent door, his screeching commands bursting through the doorway. “Lustro, wake up!” Lustro Cicero woke suddenly, startled by the sight of his drunken, swaying father. It wasn’t the first time he had been woken in such a fashion. “Ready... hic... ready Fastida! I’m going searching for him!” Not again, thought the young angel. His father couldn’t let the past go. The very purpose of this camp was to investigate Mesfido’s whereabouts and doings. Famulus Cicero was on the verge of madness, Lustro knew it. Just two days ago, the general had drunk himself into a fearful rage. He had started tearing shelves from walls and tossing chairs out of windows, shouting all the time that Mesfido was somewhere in the camp, hiding. He kept saying “He’s so close! I can feel him!” There had been nothing that Lustro could do to calm his father. Eventually Famulus collapsed in his bed, exhausted. The soldiers had said he continued screamed in his sleep, tossing and turning. “Father, you must rest. Now it n-” “Now is the perfect time!” Famulus’ eyes were a pair of flames, flickering dangerously as he spat every syllable. “If you won’t get her, I will!” The general spun, remarkably well considering how much alcohol was in his system, and headed towards the stable. Lustro hated seeing his father like this. He knew nothing he could do or say would help, but he had to at least try. The young angel hopped sleepily from his bed and chased after his father. He put his hand on Famulus’ armoured shoulder. The general stopped for a second. “Father...” “Lustro, he’s out there, mocking me. I will find him. I swear it.” Something very rare was visible in Famulus’ face; sadness. He pushed his sons hand from him and strode across the courtyard, suddenly looked much more sober. Famulus Cicero entered the stables. Fastida, his pegasus had her own private area, far away from the common horses. He pushed open the door of her enclosure. The sad look was still set on his face. It wasn’t for himself that he felt it but rather his son. Lustro failed to understand his father. Famulus pitied him, mainly for the compassion he had. He would never be a true warrior with a weakness like that. It saddened the general to think his son was such a failure. The angelic commander hoisted a gold threaded saddle from the high stable wall. He lifted it onto Fastida’s powerful back, placing it just between her massive, white wings. The pegasus gave a snort, smelling the strong scent of alcohol that radiated from Famulus. “Shush now. We’re going searching.” He pulled himself atop the saddle, his armour clicking as he moved. Fastida had no reins, nor did she need them. The angel tightened his legs around her and wrapped his arms around her neck. She unfurled her wings and set off into the dark night sky. |

Re: Drunken Expeditions (Niku)
OoC: Sorry it so bad. You didn't really give me much to work with, so, I typed whatever can off the top of my head.
BiC: The young boy traveled through the dark forest making his way closer to something. He didn’t know what he was looking for if he was seeking anything in life anymore. His life had become meaningless since he left his home town. Since he kill the killer of his parents and their son that tried to kill him. The pain of their death still rested in his heart. It was something that would never leave him no matter how much he wished it. The pain wouldn’t die nor leave him be. The forest bugs talked among each other most about him walking around the tree land at night. The stars could be seen through the thick leaves growing off the trees. The night was always so lonely for him even with the few bugs he finds to talk to. It wasn’t like talking to other human being or even his parents. The thought of them not being here anymore shot pain through it heart. Not the pain from being hurt, but the pain of being alone in the world. He walked this world as the watcher, as something he didn’t even understand. He had power, powers that could kill and he had no idea why. All he use it was this power that kept him a live this long. He strolled pass a few dead trees wondering if they had found the answer to live before they life this world and move on to the next. I wish I knew why I was given these powers. Why I still live when I should have died a long time ago. Father, what am I? Mother, what should I be doing now? Is this even a live worth living? These question and more hunted his thoughts most night like these. He finally left the forest finding himself entering a poorly keep grassy field. The yellow patches of that filled different section of the messing dirt grass land showed how run down town ahead would be. Marmion glanced up at the nighttime sky wondering if anything new a different would finally show its self to him. He wondered, but at the same time wished only not to have to see death again.

Re: Drunken Expeditions (Niku)
OoC: Yeah, it wasn't exactly the greatest intro ever, this post isn't all that much better
I'll get into a good flow soon hopefully.BiC: The beautiful pegasus’ wings rose and fell gently, carrying the angelic rider through the sky. Famulus’ own wings were held shut. Lucerna was shaking in the cool wind. The general was starting to sober up. His hazel eyes were searching through the dense forestry far below. He knew that chances of finding Mesfido here were minimal considering his soldiers had scoured the area a hundred times already. It felt refreshing though, being out in the clean, fresh air. Famulus found that fly was the best way to calm himself. It was at times like these, when he was alone and peaceful, that he became the man he once was; proud and strong but true and honest as well. In recent times his honesty had turned to brutality and his trueness to cruelty. His obsessive desire for revenge was making him a shadow of what he the man he was. A shimmer of light caught Famulus’ eye. Far below on the forest floor there was something moving. It didn’t seem like an animal, a human child perhaps. He steered Fastida down towards the forest canopy. She broke into a dive, stopping within metres of the highest tree. The general leapt off his steady, spreading his wings as he did so. He gave her a gentle pat on the nose and then glided down to the soft earth. The person was some distance to the east. It was unusual for anyone to be out, especially wandering a forest this late at night. Famulus felt compelled to follow him, not for any particular reason. The remaining drops of alcohol in his system seemed to think it was a good idea, that’s all. Famulus was never the stealthiest of angels, but he did what he could to travel through the shadows. The trees and foliage gave him little help. He moved clumsily, his armour jingling with every twitch. He was close to the figure now. He could see him well in the sparkling moonlight. It was a boy, or so it seemed. The boy must have been young. He was small and lightly built. His cloths seemed too big for him. The sleeves of his robe dangled around his sides, covering his hands. The boy turned his head, looking directly at where Famulus was standing. He had a pair of the strangest eyes the general had ever seen. “Why are you following me?” Surprise sent a jolt through Famulus. The boy had seen. He mustn’t have been as quiet as he’d thought. He quickly recomposed himself. The general stepped out from behind a slender tree trunk. “You have good eyesight, boy. I was curious, that’s all. Where are you going at a time like this?” |

Re: Drunken Expeditions (Niku)
OoC: I'll put more into the next one. This post was to just them to start to fight.
Bic: “Ha,” the young mage chuckled staring at the old angel. “It has nothing to do with hearing old man,” he said turning his back to the old drunk. He said nothing more, walking away not answering his question. That last thing he needed was have someone stop him from feeling sorry. He was seeking answers to his own question tonight. “Hey, what are you doing out here at night boy,” the old man asked again. Marmion didn’t want to answer the question, he didn’t want to be bugged tonight at all. Not tonight, not the night where he was seeking answers of life. “Nothing,” he replied still walking away from the angel. “Hey!” Marmion quickly turned back around glaring at the old man at was pissing him off. He didn’t want to fight tonight, but if he was left with no other chose he would. He begun to summon up his power only to put fear in his heart. A dark shadow formed underneath his body, forming teeth as it rose from the ground. “Leave,” he said hoping the shadow of a monster would make him run. The man didn’t run, he only seemed to look on as the shadow beast continued to form out of the ground. Marmion didn’t know what to said to his gut. He really didn’t want to fight a old man, but he feared he wouldn’t leave him been even if he gave a answer. The shadow grew stronger and more fearful, but stayed close to the mage. He eyes glowed a dark red as he glared at him fearsome like a wild beast. He liked as if he was ready to kill his prey that he food. A black core appeared in the middle of the redness cutting it in half. It took a lot of power just to keep these fearful act up. He sent the shadow after the man as his eyes returned back to normal. The shadow was going to make him go away or have them two fight. He hoped the man would just run for his life.
