Underwater City: Fight for Life and Freedom (Avyuir)

Splash, splash… the sound of the waves enter her ears as she quietly sleep on the shoreline. It had been awhile since she slept so soundly. Arika glazed on at the smile that covered her friends face. Yeah, it had been awhile since she last seen that face. Lately Rika had been fighting off more and more demons then normal and her body had grown tired.

“Rika…” the little elf called trying to wake Rika up from her nap. The sun shined bright and this was the best time to move. They had to keep moving in to find her long lost brother. “Rika wake up,” she called again, but again there was not movement. “RIKA!” she yelled before crashing to the ground.

“Whaaa,” she moaned rolling over to the other side. She didn’t think anything of it when she didn’t get an answer. A shadow covered the sunlight that bathed her body in warmth. She opened her eyes just a bit to see a blue crab like monster in front of her. It smelled of old stale water and fish that sat around the sun for too many years.

It large claw came down to grab her, but in that moment she spun around and kicked the claw away from her hand. This wasn’t the first time something had tried to attack her. She had through it was because she’d been near the ocean for a while, but it made no since to her. Rika landed on her feet and jumped up, kicking the crab in the mid section. The tough shell of its body hurt her feet. She came down landing on the bad foot and her face tightened in pain.

“What do you want?” she asked putting less weight on her bad foot. The crab never asked only tried to grab her again. She jumped back and fell down to the warm sand underneath her. Four arms shot out from under the sand grabbing hold of her little body. She struggled to get out, but within moments blacked from a blunt attack to the back of the head.

“That is one maybe young, but she’ll server as a salve nicely. Take her to the holding cell.”

Drip… the soft sound of water echoed through the chambers as they walked Rika little body through it halls. Each cell made of old fish bones and the cavern walls themselves where only mud. The monster crab that carried her body down the halls stopped as a fish swam up to him.

“Yes, what do you got here?”

“A servant girl for the master. I thought she’ll be go good with the other one that is coming soon.”

“Hmm… She is quite sweet this one and so young too. Yes… she will do fine.”

“Make sure you put the next one in the same cell as her. They will be working together for now on might as well be in the same cell, right?”

“Yes, will do,” the fish said having Rika body taken away and locked into a cell. “It’ll be a long day for you when you wake sweet one.”

Lilith's eyes pierced the darkness of her cell, how foolish she had been to let her gaurd down by the lake. Those fish-like scum, she swore she would kill them all. This 'master' of theirs, I will make sure to kill him slowly and painfully. The sound of the doors opening caught her attention.

“Yes, what do you got here?”

“A servant girl for the master. I thought she’ll be go good with the other one that is coming soon.”

“Hmm… She is quite sweet this one and so young too. Yes… she will do fine.”

“Make sure you put the next one in the same cell as her. They will be working together for now on might as well be in the same cell, right?”

“Yes, will do, it’ll be a long day for you when you wake sweet one.”

The door of her own cell opened, and a young girl was thrown in. Lilith moved in the way of the thrown girl, so she wouldn't hit the stone wall. The girl was younger than Lilith, but she seemed different than most humans. How odd, I don't know why I did that. She is just a human after all, isn't she. Lilith set her down, she was still unconscious and her body was drenched.

"Seems those creatures treated you no better than I."

Lilith's rage was beggining to intensify, which could turn out to be a very very very bad thing here. From all this dripping water, it sounds like were under a lake. If Lilith were to destroy this place, she would die herself, if she weren't careful. She didn't know how far below the lake they were, only that she knew she couldn't hold her breath forever. And what of this child, why do I feel such a connection to her. Lilith began looking for something she could use to dry the girl off, but to no avail. The cell was empty and wet. Lilith's wings were drenched, and they felt heavy. She could here the russling of the gaurds at the end of the corridor, perhaps they would be of use.

"Gaurds! Come here a moment will you?" Lilith's voice was harsh and demanding, she would have those gaurds grovel at her feet before she killed them.

"We are not intitled to help servants. You will stay silent if you know what is best for you."

Lilith's temper flared, "Tell me this then, if we are to be servants to your damned master how do you expect us to serve when were dying!" Lilith spat out the words in a frenzied manner.

"Then you shall die, the master has no use for weakness."

Lilith summoned up a small amount of her dark energy and flung it at a gaurd. He dropped silently, but the other took the blunt of his spear and wacked Lilith in the chest. The blow was hard, knocking the wind out of her and sending her backwards.

"You would do well to not do that again."

Lilith glared at this gaurd, if looks could kill, that guard would have been dead ten times over. But Lilith said nothing, she felt slightly weak here. These guards are strong, but if they can be killed by a simple dark orb, then they shall die with ease.

The movement of the girl caught her eye, Lilith had forgotten she was here.

"Oh, where am I?"

"You're in a cell, below a lake, surrounded by gaurds, and were to be servants for their master."

“Oooh, owch,” Rika said still feeling some of the pain from attacking the crab. “I can’t stay here long a play with them,” she calmly said as the wind blew pass her. Lilith glanced into the young girls eyes and saw nothing, but the sweet ocean in them.

“Well if you consider this playing, than their playing pretty hard,” Lilith said glaring back at the guards beyond the cell.

“Yeah, I didn’t think his shell was going to be so hard,” she replied back with a smile on her face. “Oh, I’m Rika, Miss… umm… What your name?” she asked getting up from the ground of the cave like place. Rika put her hand out to shake her new friend hand waiting to hear her name.

“Its Lilith, Rika.”

“What a pretty name you have. Here lets get dry, but round two starts up,” With that a large gust of wind blew into the cell swirling around them two. The cool breeze from the wind dried them more slowly than Rika wanted, but they were getting dry. The rush of the air lifted only a little bit of her dress as it dried.

“What are you?”

“I’m a half demon. I thought you knew that being a demon yourself,” Rika said with a look of confusion on her face. “I guess you’re a demon from your black wings anyway. Time to get out of here I think.” With that said Rika formed a chaotic mass of air in the middle of the bone bars. The air swirled hard and fierce around the bone gate, but it didn’t move at all.

The wind died down and Rika wasn’t happy they where still in there “They aren’t playing fair.”

"Life is never fair, I'm sure being a half demon you would understand that!" Lilith's voice was slgihtly harsh, but not cruel.

"Being a half demon has been hard yes, but I've learned to deal with it."

Lilith looked around, she could easily break out of here, her shadow powers were after all greater in the darkness. "These metal bars won't withstand much, but wind has no affect on metal."

"They look like bone."

"There shaped that way to give this place a more sense of foreboding, but they're just warped metal. I've escaped from this place numerous times, but they've always found a way to capture me. I'm suprised they haven't killed me yet." Lilith couldn't help but smirk at this, death was such a wonderful thing.

"So, you know how to get out then?"

"Of course, but you might want to stand back. I have no intentions of living the rest of my life as a slave for their master." The dark aura began circling around her wings. She had sliced through enough metal bars with her dark wing attack that it was like taking a knife through warm butter. It was nearly effotless as the sliced bars fell to the ground making a slight clanking sound.

"What are you up to de-"

Lilith silenced him with a slash to his throat and he fell silently to the floor. "Hmp, thats there weak spot, don't attack their carapace directly, it will only hurt you more than them." Lilith could tell Rika was a bit shocked, but that was to be expected. Rika was weaker than Lilith, only because she's a half demon instead of a full blooded one like herself. "Now hurry, I dislike this place and I don't wish to linger any longer!" Lilith knew that once they escaped, she would destroy this place. She would have to use apocalysp to do it, but it didn't matter, for everyone here would be dead.

Wow, she strong, young Rika thought racing behind the dark demon. She had never thought of using her sword to take them out. She never liked using her sword to fight with. More fish men showed up around the corner they turned. They hadn’t left the cage for more than three mintues and already the lower guards were out.

“This way!” the demon said turning right down other path way. Not they where running away from there chaser and it felt like to Rika they where heading up. She didn’t know how far down below the water they where, but she wasn’t too worried about anything.

“Wait!” she yelled finally noticing something was missing. “Arika isn’t here!” she shouted, spinning around, jumping into the air, grabbing her small sword, cutting the throat’s of the men chasing them. She didn’t land only hopped off his now dead body and cut the next fish man behind him. “I have to find her.”

“No one can in with you. She must have gotten away.”

“Are you sure?” Rika asked cutting other of the lower guards throats before jumping off it and running away again.

“Yeah, you was alone.”

“Then she must of got scared when the big showed up to play. I really can’t stay now. I have to find her,” She said with a smile as she quickly caught up with Lilith.

Lilith was curious as to who this new person was. Arika hmm, she must've been traveling with her. they continued racing down the winding halls of the sunken city. Gaurds approched them at every twist and turn but were easily slain by Lilith's dark wing and occasionally by Rika's sword. "You don't like using your weapon do you half demon?"

"Not in the least, I don't like to kill either."

"That's your human side speaking. If I were you, which I'm not, I would let my demon side do that talking. Speaking of swords, I need to find mine."

Lilith searched any of the guards they had killed, looking for Zunta. But to no avail, it was not here to be seen. These damn gaurds must only be grunts, and my priceless Zunta would never be given to them. I need to find a more higher ranking gaurd, perhaps he'll have it. Lilith got up from her searching only to be stopped by a large whack to the back of her head. She became dizzy and she noticed rika lying on the floor.

"Rika. . . wh. . . . what are. . . . you doing?"

There was no answer and Lilith regained her composure. The whack to her head was not strong enough to bring her down.

"You have been causing us 'problems' demon. I think its time you die."

Lilith looked over to see a slithering snake like humanoid. It had the upper body of a man, but the face and the lower body of a snake. And he was holding Zunta! What a stroke of luck.

"Kill this one, but take the other girl back to her cell!"

OoC: If this sounds like crap gimme a break cause its 6:53 a.m. here and im still half asleep >.>

A strong burst of wind shot out from underneath Rika little body. It shroud the cave in its powerful winds, blowing everything away. The weaker demons that tried to touch her were flung through the sky. “What!?” the large snake monster asked as he tried to keep his balanced. Deep heavy breathing could be heard coming for her little body.

“Agrrr, I’m sick of this,” a very dark evil voice said. “How could you be knocked out so quickly other half?” A strong tail slapped the ground and Rika body rose from the ground.

“Who are you?” the snake mumbled scared from the evil dark voice of the girl. It sent chills down his spine thinking that a small girl could sound so scary.

“That more like it half demon.”

“Wouldn’t you like to know, Riko!” the demon yelled. The small blade grow larger and her skin turned a deep blue. “I hope you are strong monster. It’s been sooo long since I had a good fight.” She said in a sicking voice licking the blade. It tasted so good to finally be out, but this underwater place smelled of rotten fish. Rika dashed forward really to cut the snake head off. Yoko didn’t even notice the other demon that had been with Ume.

Lilith was intruged to see what powers this half demon had, so much so that she had nearly let her gaurd down. It was interesting to see another demon, for Lilith had only really met one other. Most of the other demons the humans feared, so they were all killed on the spot. Perhaps I should let Rika take down this beast . . . Since I want to see what she could do . . .

"Rika . . you can have the myrmidon, I'll take care of the rest."

Rika or Riko as the demon had called herself nodded and charged at the myrmidon, breaking its guard with swift attacks to its armoured carapace. Lilith easily took out the minions, they were no match for her dark powers, especially down in the dark depths where no sunlight could weaken her strengths. Dark demons grow stronger in the darkness, I can tell its daylight out now, but once night falls, they will stand no chance against me. Lilith shot a few more dark orbs at the weak minions easily killing them.

"Hmp they were weak . . no match for a demon such as myself . . . "

OoC: sry for the short/bad post, I kinda couldnt think of anything :XD

The sliver blade danced around Youko’s hand she heard the voice of other female around her. She was too lost in her pleasure of fighting. Her eyes grow larger and her heart beat faster as her body slammed into the ground by the massive tail of the snake. The pain riddled through her little body, the cold ground soaked into her skin easing the pain just a little. Blood shot out of her weak body, coughing from being driven into the ground.

“Hahah, what a weak little demon you are,” the cross breed said viewing his work.

“That it,” Youko said, her body floating up off the ground. She hadn’t felt any of the pain that her body clearly had. She smiled as she stared into the little eyes of the snake-human. “Mmmhmmm,” tasting her own blood licking it off her cheeks. “Like a weak worm could kill me. You can’t even give me good pleasure in this fight.” Each breath she took filled her with joy and disappointment; he didn’t give her a challenge at all.

“What! Why you little half demon!”

“Die!” Youko yelled as a razor like wind swirled around her blade. She dashed forward as he swung his massive tail around. She rolled over the large tail and flew down slamming the blade into his head. Blood spewed all over the pure white dress of Rika’s. She smiled almost evilly as she used the wind to push her deeper into the snake like head. “Rest in hell!” Youko screamed out, sending her body into a roll slashing the snake like body into pieces. Blood flew every where as the saw like attack continued to go on.

Youko landed to the ground and the sword returned to it normal size as she fell to the ground. Her body returned to normal and she laid passed out on the ground. Covered in blood, her hair rested over top of her body like a blanket. Pain soon woke her up again as she screamed with all she had not wanting to move her body. “It hurts!”

Lilith smirked, the little half demon had done all of her dirty work. Just like all half demons should. She walked over to the passed out Rika just to amek sure she wasn't dead when she awoke screaming in pain. This only made Lilith smirk more.

“It hurts!”

"Of course it hurts, that demon slammed you into the cobble stone and you're bleeding sheesh. You're a mess." Lilith walked over to the shredded snake demon and picked up her beloved blade Zunta. The blade howled in Lilith's ears in joy as she picked it up, blade and master once again reunited. "I know Zunta.. its good to have you in my hands once more."

Lilith walked over once more to Rika and extended her hand. "I'm sure it hurts, but we need to get out of here."

OoC: bleh sorry for the short post, but I figured something is better than nothing

“Ouch,” Rika screamed trying to move her aching body. Pain bathed her whole body leaving nothing , to comfort her in anyway. The cold wind that blew pass her body chilled her. She could feel death trying to take her away, but she fought though it. She reached her hand out to the help she was given and stood up. She twitched a bit as she planted her feet on the ground blood dripping from her body.

“We need to hurt,” the other demon said almost coldly to her. “Can you walk?”

Rika only nodded as she formed air bubbles around her cuts. The bubbles relived some of the pain by closing off the cuts from battle. “Lets go,” she said taking a few steps ahead of the other demon. “I’m not sure where to get out at, but it should be somewhere above this cave. “

“Right. I’m guessing where not to far from the end of this cave.”

“I can’t check on that,” she replied closing her ears off from the sound of the cave forcing on the stream line of the wind. She could see the wind racing pass her as if a vacuum was near by. “We are close. The wind seem to be move very fast just ahead. Like there a large opening near. “

Lilith continued moving forward, they needed to leave this place before more gaurds were summoned. She notied the girl was in pain, a lot of pain from the looks of it.

Lilith nodded, she could tell there was an opening up ahead from the smell of fresh air coming from that direction. She hastened her pace, not wanting to get caught again like she had so many other times before. Lilith could see a small light near the end but it was still quite a ways away. Her demonic instincts told her they were approaching the surface, and that it was daylight outside. With it being day, if we're ambushed my powers will be weakened. Lilith stretched her wing, it was still sore from all the times she had been ruthlessly thrown into that cage of a cell.

"Slow down, I can't keep up."

Lilith turned her head to see the half demon struggling to keep up with her speed. "We have to move faster, there is no time to dwadle away and walk slowly!" Her eyes gazed past the half demon girl and she noticed something that she hadn't noticed before. Small ribbon like thread was flowing off the girls body back down into the darkness of the tunnel from which they had came. They were invisible to the untrained eye but Lilith could see them as clearly as she could see the back of her hand. She then turned and looked at her own body, the same ribbons were flowing off her, but in a different colour.

"Whats wrong?"

"They plan to keep us here forever litle half demon. And I know how." Lilith grimanced, there was only one way to break these types of ribbons, find the source. "You don't feel it do you? The threads of energy holding you back?"

Lilith guessed from the look on her face, she had no clue what she was talking about. Lilith rolled her eyes, of course she wouldn't know, shes probably never been restrained by this type of thread. Soft sounds of scuttling came down from the end of the tunnel, Lilith knew they were coming to bring them back to their prison.

"Rika...you have to do something for me."

"Whats that?"

"I'll hold off the gaurds as long as I can, you must head to the darkest abyss of this city and find the source of this." Lilith held out a long ribbon that was attached to her body. "I know you can see it, but if you don't destroy the source of this, we can never leave here."

Rika's eyes opened wide as the words passed Liliths lips. "But I can't-"

"Trust me Rika, its the only way. However, I'm not sure if there will be two demons leaving this place, or only you. These monsters have an itch to kill me and I believe this time if I am captured there will be no mercy. But you have your demon powers, let them guide you to the source and destroy it. It's the only way we will be assured our escape."

OoC: There we go that should get us started again ^^

“Noooo!” Rika screamed, holding her blade tight in her hand. She wouldn’t accept leaving her new friend behind was the only choice they had. She also wasn’t sure she could beat things demons on her own. She felt useless being so young and little for a demon. No one really let her take charge nor did she try. “We both go or no one goes,” she said, finally slashing her sword into one of the on coming enemies.

“Listen get going now Rika! I’ll take care of things from here. It makes no sense for both of us to go.”

“What makes no sense is for one of us to make it out alive!” She yelled floating through the air kicking two more in the face and landing her blade into other’s heart. She glared up seeing the endless flow of attacking them. “Come with me and will take them on as they come.”

The demon woman, busy fighting her own group around her didn’t notice the little half demon flipping and fly through the air. Rika hacked and slashed faster than the woman was able to do. Rika enjoyed fighting so many people at one time, dancing around them so quickly.

She slashed one in the back spun around, tripping another before coming up and stabbing a third in the chest. She wasted little time taking on the whole lot of them. She would show her friend that they could move on with both of them or they would die together. “So, come with me!” Rika yelled jumping high into the air flapping through the air with graces and eases.

OoC: That should give you something to do when you get back now.

OoC: It feels wrong to leave this unfinished

BiC: Lilith looked at the half demon girl, she knew Rika was changing. Her demon side is becoming stronger as she fights. This could prove to be adventageous. Lilith bounded after Rika with the grace only a full demon had. Rika was graceful in her own right, but not quite like Lilith. She heard the beasts scuttle quickly after as they ran through the city, trying ti find the source of the thread. This underwater city is far to vast, too many maze-like corridors here! Lilith growled her frustration, how tempted she was just to obliterate the place with Ultima. But she knew it would cause the death of not only herself from being drowned, but also that of the little half demon girl.

Lilith unfurrled her wings and stretched them. She still felt weak from her imprisonment but the adreneline from the battle was giving her the rush she needed. She picked up her running pace and grabbed Rika around her waste.

"What are you doing!?"

"Trust me Rika!"

Lilith bounded into the air faster than any of the creatures could run and flew high out of their reach. She directed herself towards the origin of the ribbons but she knew she could not sustain the flight for long. Her strength was weakening, and her vision was becoming blurred. Lilith quickly looked for a place to land and easily found a small alcove in the stone walls. It was high enough to keep the scuttling enemies down below away from them long enough to recover their strength.

Lilith landed clumsily on the alcove's edge and released Rika immidiatly. She stumbled to the floor, landing hard on its rocky surface.

"Lilith!"

"I'm . . . fine. . ." And with that, Lilith passed into a dark unconsciousness.

OoC: okaaaayyyyy...that should get us rolling. Just remind me to post now lol

What am I going to do. Rika stared down at the monster than back of the demon beside her. She was tired herself, but so many other wonder were on her mind. She hadn’t had a clue where her friend was and so many monsters where now chasing after her. It would only be a matter of time before they find away up to them.

What would that fencer guy do? She bit down on her finger trying to think what she could do to buy them some time. She never tired using her powers all that much so knew every little of what could be done. She watched as the crowed below grew larger and larger. She had no ideas on what she could try to help buy them time.

Arika. What should I do? How can I fend off so many from this distance? She paced back and forward hoping the demon would awake before time ran out.
