The Dojo, Renewed: Practice for the First Timers

Right then, this is the dojo, headed by Andi and I, but since the former doesn't seem to be around in a time of some crisis, I suppose its up to me to make things happen.

Now then, I'd like to state that we will first gather some individuals who want to partake in the activities of the Battle Arena and post their profiles; a description of the character you wish to fight with. When we've got around 3 or 4 students, we'll have a spar with them, where the teachers here will comment and correct mistakes. When we feel that you've got enough writing skill to win battles, we'll send you off into the big, scary forum.

I'd also like to say something about the type of student that enrolls here. If you like to write long posts with nice, descriptive attacks, clever mythology, ties to different games, and a feel for the English lanhuage, you've come to the right place. However, if you feel like writing short, stubby attacks like:

"mute slyses stewdent and killz him"

Then you'd better head over to Mirren's Training Grounds, they'll deal with you. So, may students flock.

But aren't you already in Mirren's Grounds? You'd do best not to be in two schools. And, if you aren't, you'll need a profile.

That is the way to be admitted into this dojo. You'll need a fighting profile. On this is required your character's Name, Age, Physical Description (broken down into parts),Race, Weapons, Armor, Skills, and Bio. If you have more, such as your character's Blood Type or a Picture , it would be even better. MAKE YOUR CHARACTER ORIGINAL! I'll approve them and have you admitted - if I think it is acceptable.

Weapons

Right Hand: Hrunting- a katana made from the lance of the Greater Demon Shahare's lance and the Ascalon. Secretes a killing poison deep within it's thin blade.

Left Hand: Judgement- A gauntlet of the angels. It is the duty of the Seraphim to collect the souls of the dead with this gauntlet and weigh the soul, deciding on which realm to send it to. This armlet stores the ancient power to harness the soul energy around it.

Armor

Chest Plate: Erebus Armor - An armor collected from the foot the universe - distributed evenly throughout the Seraphim.

Head: Halo - The embodiment of an angels purity. Is used to embrace the head area and protect it.

Torso: Xylion Mail- Taken from the Grim Reaper's body at the end of Ragnarok. Makes the wearer appear slightly in the shadows

Feet: Sacred Wear- Standard boot of the Seraphim army. FAster than man-made shoes, but demons have managed to create footwear of unimaginable speed.

Skills

Nirvana - Perhaps the most deadly attack known to the Seraphim. Is used by gathering soul energy into the Judgement and releasing it into the hearts of a human. Corrupts a man's soul from within, killing his mind and functions.

Exorcism- A simple skill used by Seraphim and Cherubim to purge a being of demons or curses. When used upon an angel or a demi-god, the holy energy seals their wounds or fatigue.

The Contract - A mystical attack that generates from a special pendant worn around the neck. The being attempts to contract with an embodiment of an element and summon it to earth in the form of an attack. Originated from ancient Latin cultures.

Bio

Long ago, a war waged between the two realms when a demon destroyed the Chalice of Life and used its shards as a weapon against the angels. At this point, the Divine decided to form the angels into two groups, the Cherubim - scientists and thinkers, and the Seraphim -warriors and fighters.

And the Seraphim marched forth to stop the incoming apocolypse, their blades handy, but the underworld held blades and arrows of unimaginable stregnth created from the Chalice. Angel were slaughtered, millions of them, and the whole world burst into flames.

Soon the demons were infiltrating the pearly gates, and even the Deity was in danger. There was but one way of obliterating Lucifer's minions from the realm - the Masamune. It was the sacred blade known only to the archangels; it had the power to destroy Eden, garden of life - it was a safety net, in case of the apocalypse. It was a weapon of all the heaven's fury, a blade of the aeons. But it could only be released from it's pedestal at a high price - the souls of the angels. And sadly, the Deity sacrificed his loyalties and placed them upon the altar, releasing the Masamune. He then created one man, Adam, to wield the blade.

And the man stepped forward, and the earth quaked from within the great sword. With a sweep of his arm, the entire universe could wail and combust, and all life would mercifully blank from exsistance. And the demons were wiped away, the mighty blade everywhere at once, thrusting, cutting, slashing. Demons howled, and the plane of exsistance screamed in pain and - they were gone.

Lucifer had lost, his demons gone and the earth still was able to be recreated. Humanity prospered. And there were no more other forms of demi-life to interfere with the business of sinful men. But...

Before Ragnarok, the archangel Micheal had descended and fallen in love with a human, breaking the divine law. He was banished from Earth and confined to the heavens, but his love had become pregnant. Abel was born. During the chaos of the Ragnarok he grew, hiding in his house, where mythril exploded outside his door, and he was afraid. As Ragnarok ended, he was a young man, and he was confused. He wandered the earth for almost 4 millenia, when he sensed, beneath the underworld, an army being created.

Lucifer was attempting now, to build an army great enough to stop the endgame and bring about the apocalypse once again. The army was vast, 20 demons for every human on Earth. They would be dead before they surfaced. And the only man who could hope to stand to them was Abel, because he knew the Masamune was where Adam had placed it- the Safer, the door between realms, a chamber where holy artifacts were kept. The only key to the Safer was the legendary blade- The Excaliber.

However, the Excaliber had been destroyed by the hands of Lucifer himself, during his legendary battle with Gabriel. The only way to weild the Masamune was to recreate the Excaliber, and so, he decided that he must take holy blades form around the world and forge them into one...

He set off to find the blades, to finally destroy Lucifer, and bring peace to the heavens. Above all, he seeked to make his father's mistake reconciled. And now, he fights warriors to gather their souls and weapons to reforge the essence of Excaliber to prevent the second coming of Ragnarok.

And there you have it!

Weapons: Twin .45 calibur pistols he calls "Nexus" and "Persephone", aswell as a Katana that he uses rarely.
Armor: None, really.
Special attacks: Special attacks eh? Well he can shoot insanely fast and has a seemingly endless supply of ammuntions.

Personality: He used to be kinds and caring, but now he's rather cold and silent. Very sexcay~
Apperance: Look to your left, or below this post and you will see. He wears a white business shirt with long black pants.

Bio: Asato was a business man, successful in life and had a great girlfriend. However, he returned to his house one night after a tiresome day of work at Shino Co, a software developer in amongst the hustle and bustle of daily 21st Century Tokyo life. He switched on the lights and called out "Yuki! Yuki!" but there was no answer, only the blissful harmonics of Ayumi Hamasaki's "Rainbow" playing on the Tokyo countdown TV screen outside his apartment. He closed the door quitely and edged into the lounge room, placing his suitcase slowly on the ground.

When he reached the bed room, he saw Yuki lying on the bed, her brown hair carressing her cheeks, and her body exposed (IE: Lack of clothes, hentai situation here XD) He placed the sheets to cover up her body and noticed her lack of breathing. Then he saw it out of the corner of his eyes...

"Ah, Asato!" It cried in a monotonous voice, darkness enshrouding it's figure. "You finally arrived, your girlfriend decided to kill herself today. And I'm here to collect her soul, a very fine soul if I may add!"

"You're... a SHINIGAMI!?" Asato stuttered, a sense of panic filling his body as tears filled his eyelids to the brim, he didn't want Yuki to die...

"Yes, well, an APPRENTICE Shinigami, but a Shinigami none the less. You see, to become a full fledged Shinigami I have to collect a few more souls. Your girlfriend should be a nice addition to the tally." He said, coming out of the darkness, his black hair waving by his sides as he brushed it back gracefully, exposing his feminine face.

"No... you can't... not Yuki..." Asato murmered as the Shinigami's face lit up.

"I tell you what, I'll spare the Woman's soul. BUT, you must get some souls for me, and when you do, I shall return her to life. Got it? You just need to kill... oh, let's say... 10 people for me, so I can become a full fledged Shinigami. Then, your wife... is yours..."

Shinigami = A grim reaper of sorts, the Japanese God of Death, there are often plently of them. They collect the souls of the recently deceased and escort them to the after life, for pay of course. They often weild Katanas and are male.

Weapon: A modified tommy gun which can carry 9999 rounds and a gold Knucle-Duster. He also has a garrote concealed in his watch.

Armor: A lightweight bullet-proof vest, concealed beneath his pinstripe suit.

Personality: He is a serious fighter, but outside of battle he is funloving and happy-go lucky. Giovanni is ruthless though, he will kill anything and anyone just for the thrill of the fight.

Apperance: Vincenzo wears a red, pinstripe suit, a white shirt and a black, straight tie. the jacket is short and comes to his waist, covering his belt and bullet-proof vest. He is a slender, tall man and his hands are bony yet extemely strong. He wears a pair of steel capped dress shoes and has a gold watch on his left wrist. His face is long and he has a strong, sturdy italian nose. he has a small moustache and his messy hair is covered by a matching pinstripe hat. He also has a gold wisdom tooth which was the result of a fight he was in. Across his chest he wears a holding strap for his tommy gun.

Bio: Vincenzo was once a highly respected member of the mafia. That was until he had a nervous breakdown. The breakdown had given the man a multiple personality disorder. He was then exiled out of the Mafia, but when he left his other half killed another member of the mafia, and now a bounty has been placed upon his head. Vincenzo struggles to supress his other half, after a few months of torment he obtained some drugs that were supposed to take control of his other half. However the drugs had no effect and Vincenzo still fights Giovanni in the battleground that is his mind. When Giovanni takes control, bags form under Vincenzo's eyes and his personality takes a radical change, he also becomes less merciful and more ruthless in battle.

EDIT: added another weapon, a knife with a blade length of one foot.

Weapon: two daggers that are held at either side of his waist by his belt, tranquilizer/poisonous/various other types of darts
Armor: clothes that reform after transformation (explained below)

Personality: Quiet around people he does not know very well, but around his friends and allies he is known to be quite loud, often regrets doing things in his past but accepting of the fact that what is done is done.

Apperance: Fairly well built man, wears a black traveling overcoat that covers his chest and goes down to between his knees and his feet and is going grey in areas from wear, at his waist under the coat he has a belt that houses his two daggers, thick dark brown gloves cover his hands almost up to his elbows, he wears worn green pants that are torn around the bottoms of the legs and his feet are bare but rough from traveling most of his life. (I'm hoping to have a picture soon)

Bio: Son of the great war tactician Taine Raion, great things were expected of him, feeling that he could not live up to his fathers heritage he ran away from home when he was 13, and began life as a wandering traveler that lived in the wild. He became a great hunter and learnt alot about the animals. He is always willing to fight, to make his skills better and hopes that one day when he is strong enough he will return home to his parents and make his dad proud, untill then he continues to wander.

Abillities: It was his special link with animals that led him to develop his greatest skill in battle, the skill to absorb the abillities of animals that are around the battle field (real creatures or made up) and even use the skills of his opponents. Upon absorbing a creature's abilities he transforms in appearance to resemble a humanoid version of that creature, (eg. he absorbs a tiger and grows orange fur with black stripes and so forth, he always stays fairly humanoid, standing on two feet) and he gets the creatures advantages and disadvantages (eg. he absorbs a bird and gains the ability to fly and gets better sight, but his body becomes weaker due to the birds weak skeleton... and stuff like that), to gain the powers of an enemy he must have a part of them (like a strand of hair) and he consumes an entire animal when gaining their powers. He also has the ability to call creatures to the battle field at will, but there are limitations to this, for example if he is in an arctic wasteland and calls a creature that lives in a warm climate and absorbs it, then he will be weakening himself. As a human he has trained to use his daggers in combat and has a wide array of attacks with them, he uses throwing darts/shurikens that are tipped with various poisons in battle also, once he becomes an animal he can no longer use his weapons (depending on what animal, a man with monkey characteristics could wield a dagger, but a shark-man, could not). He is immune to poison and other things like it.

Hey Mute, I noticed you asked for a little sparring back in the other dojo. If that's still on, I'm not so sure, since I have a feeling I'd get slaughtered, heh. ::Shakes head:: that's the problem with my character, no specal attacks, just your basic kid with swords who knows how to fight. ::laughs slighty::

So now how does this work? Do I wait for a 2-on-2/free-for-all here?
