Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: I apolgize before hand if it sucks >_> After all it was me who wrote it >_<. Anyways if I made it too confusing PM me or something, and without anyfurthe Adu.

BiC:

So there she was, standing atop the highest tower in the court of pure souls. Her eyes where like slits to penetrate the piercing wind that blow he Kimono, and nearly took off her hat. Another boring day again, time after time she would find heself standing there, wind blowing at he short brown hair just thinking. Nothing exciting ever happened anymore, hell it had been almost a year since she releashed her Shikai, and she was getting tired of it. The female Shinigami realeashed a aggravated sigh, when her cell phone started singing out.

“Without thinking she flicked it up, and opened it, “Hello, Vice captain Lee Juri of the sixth Division...Is that so...yes I'll be there right away,” With another sigh she calmly steped off the large white towere, and quickly turning into a dive, as he clothes wrapped around her. Seconds later as she feel, she suddenly dissapeard into the swaying winds.

><><><><><><

Walking into the main meeting room, she saw her precious brother sitting their waiting for her. He was a large man in all aspects, standing at about 6'7, with a edium build. His black hair was cut short, and Chaotic, and his white Haori, showing his cpatain rank, was lossly drapped over his shoulders.

Of course when Juri saw this figure a huge smile planted itself in her face, Running over she wrapped her hands around his waist (Due to the fact she was over a foot shorter then him), “Onii-Chan!”

“Ahh Juri-Chan, glad to see you can still greet your brother,” he said with a laugh, 'But I am afraid i have to get straight to buisness,” He said motioning for Juri to take a seat, which of course she oblidged, Jenray was one of the few people she actualy felt comfortable around, “Well this is concerning the 12th division,” he said taking a seat himself beside her.

“What about them?” The Female Shinigami inquired.

“Well you see lately I have suspected that Captain-Kato, has been keeping secrets from us captain,” he said lowering his voice, “More Specifically about Kazuya in particular...You see being in charge of the real world patrol I have noticed a strange influx in power every time Kazuya fights a hollow, that along with the facts that Kato-San seems t act differently when questioned about it, and that he allowed Kazuya to go to the real world in the first place give the impression that something is amis.” The captain said with a hushed sigh, “As a Captain I feel it is my duty to find out xactly what is going on, and to put an end to it, if my supicions are correct,”

“Well thats all nice, and stuff onii-Chan,' Juri replied, “But what does this have to do with me,”

“Well Juri-Chan, I need you to seek out kazuya, and engage him in battle,”

“Why?”

“Because I think that if you battle him with your full strength then he might be forced to show you what he is hiding,'

“Are you sure about this...are you sure he is hiding something,”

“Trust me, him and Captain-Kato are keeping something, and I need to know what it is, will yo ccept this mission,”

Well to answer such a question is a matter of principle, first one must take into account the fact this was not a soul society sanctioned mission, and the danger if he is hiding some secret, then you must remember the mutal dislike between the two Shinigami, and the chance of finally getting some excitment and...”I'll do it,” Damnit Juri I wasn't finished explaining!

><><><><>Three Days Later<><><><

I've been in the real world, and still I still havn't been able to find him juri Mused to he self as she walked aimlessly by in her Gigai, Onii-chan said he'd be in this city, but I still don't see him. This is getting frusterated then like a crappy plot device her cell phone rang, and as she looked at its screen she saw the red dot meaning a hollow. Surely since Kazuya was the only soul reaper patroling this area he had to go and fight him. About time.

Alipping in her soul candy, she quickly turned into her usual Shinigami form, giving the spirit known as nya to take control of her body, “Don't do anything stupid when i'm gone, got it!”

“No problem Juri-Sama,” the artifical soul said with a smile, Thats what she thinks

“Good, I'm trusting you,” Vice captain Lee said turning, and rushing off to the abandond minning area where the hollow was said to be.

“Lets have some fun!”

><><><><><><><><

Atop a twenty story tall crane Juri Watched the battle below, it was short and decisive, with Kazuya gaining an easy victory. As she watched Juri made carefull note of the surrondings, the entier minning area was like a gaint crater in the ground, almost ten miles in diameter, the endless snads created huge hills, and towering clifs up two at least five stories high. At leasty thrity huge cranes littered the entier area. As the battle was won Juri quickly, and gracefully leapt off the structure landing softly behind the third seat of the 12th division, “Kazuya, I have been given the order to execute you imeadatly,” She lied, “Please don't make this anymore difficult then it needs to be”

OoC:Lets get this road on the show.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: Yeah, ithere were a few mistakes (Case in point: "Kato Juri"), but whatever, I'm just glad it's finally up. =P

BiC:
Nothing was amiss in the man’s mind as he walked the streets of the city. In fact, at that point in time he was more concerned about his next meal then the task for which he was sent. Now that he began to think about it, what was his mission anyway? Oh yeah, he thought as he remembered. To study and report on the dangers of each individual country, as well as their various cultures.

Unfortunately for his mission, the man known as Kazuya Hayashi had not seen much new behaviour since his first arrival in North America, some two months before. As such, his notebook looked a little neglected and dirty from being in his pocket for so long. Letting out a shallow sigh as he crossed the street, then man could not help but feel something more pressing then Lunch was about to occur.

Sure enough, the trusty cell phone in his pocket began to ring and vibrate as it detected what he sensed.

A hollow, thought Kazuya as he looked at the display on the small screen of the phone. The lone red dot just a couple of miles or so burned in his eyes. It’s just a small fry, but I should kill it, seeing as how I seem to be the only Shinigami in the area.

With that, he dashed off in the direction of the hollow. Upon arrival at the site, however, he noticed just how large the area was. He pushed the thought out of his head almost immediately though, most construction sites were like that anyway. Pressing on, he found the hollow in the middle of the area, which also happened to be the deepest.

Pulling out what looked like a PEZ dispenser to the untrained eye, the man ate one of the candies and was throw out of the false body he used to be seen by the normal humans. Skidding to a stop behind it, he then ordered the spirit that now inhabited it to find someplace safe to hide. The spirit then made haste to find said hiding spot.

The spirit looked on at the Shinigami with the utmost content before roaring at the top of its lungs and charging at full speed. How predictable.

As it charged, the Soul Reaper jumped high into the air, avoiding all of the creatures strikes, before swinging downward with his Zanpakuto, cutting it in half. Watching the hollow dissolve into nothingness, Kazuya suddenly felt a new presence. This time of something he despised as mush as the hollow he had just dispatched.

After hearing the sound of this new presence fall to the ground, it began to speak. “Kazuya, I have been given the order to execute you immediately,” said the woman. “Please don't make this anymore difficult then it needs to be.”

Without turning around, the man addressed the other Shinigami, saying, “I’m not stupid, Juri Lee. If the order was indeed given for my execution, wouldn’t there be more then just a Vice-Captain to arrest me?”

“I don’t need to explain myself to you,” she spat at him acidly.

He said nothing. The smell coming off of her reeked like nothing anyone could imagine. She was lying to him and he knew it now. “Obviously you do since I’ve cut through your poor lie.” Retorted Kazuya before turning around to face his long-time rival.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC; Sorry for the mistakes i still don`t have a spelling, and grammer check, and I suck at both >_> Also I have an excuse for the Juri kato thing so let me explain.

You see I actually got the name Juri, from my favorite Anime, Digimon Tamers (yes i`m a loser, puck off), anyways my favorite character is Jeri kato, who in japense is Kato Juri, you see since you named kazuya#s friend kato, I often have Kato on my mind when writting, so i subliminaly put Juri kato, or Kato juri, cause I#m much more used to writting that then Juri Lee. See its not my fault

Bic:

Heh, he's good... The Female shinigami thought to her self, as a gentle breeze kicked up some dust in the huge area, “I assure you its no...”Suddenly she disappeared. Step one: In order to gain an advantage, a surprise attack is often Necessary. Step two: In order to push someone, you must have the advantage, and make use of it. Step Three: Cause the other to use all his cards in order for him to take back the advantage. Step Four: Show the rest of your cards when you are certain he has shown all of his. A simplest method to fighting, however it works well for her mission, which was simply get him to show all his cards.

Reappearing directly behind him, she was already in mid slash with he sword. Turning fast and drawing his blade Kazuya was just able to deflect his opponents attack, but the blow itself sent him slightly off balance, but before he could gather his wits for a counter attack she was already gone.

With the wooshing sound of something traveling through the air he felt the flat of a foot smacking against his face, sending him the other direction he was falling, but before he could even grasp the sight of the attacker she has already moved again. This time directly in front of him, her blade in its scabbard she went to grab it, an then she was gone, going for a flash draw. Swiftly kazuya pushed himself high into the air sending a cloud of dust in his wake, obscuring the area directly underneath him.

Looking down he was unable to catch a glimpse of Lee Juri, whom he was fighting. And that was mainly because she wasn't there. As he looked down at the harsh ground below he felt a tingling sensation, and with unearthly speed he turned in mid air so he was facing upwards diagonally, with his sword ready to block. And lucky for him he did because he just managed to stop, and hold onto Juri's attacks as she pushed down with surprising strength, sending them both downwards diagonally through the dusty as she pushed with all her might.

The pair came to a stop in a cloud of dust, and as the dust settled, one could clearly see Juri Lee pressing down hard with both hands on the hilt of her blade, with her feet levitated above the ground, as kazuya was holding the slash back with his one hand on his hilt, the blade itself horizontally. Surprise advantage had gone, and all that was left was a clean one on one battle.

Jumping back Juri slid across the sand ridden area her blade still in hand, a smile on her face, 'Very good, perhaps this will be harder then I anticipated.”

“Oh I'll make sure of that,”

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: Doing things subconsciously sucks, I know. Especially when it makes you look stupid. =P

BiC:
Something’s amiss, thought the Shinigami as he held back the attacks of his rival. I know she’s not here to execute me. So why is she here? Oh well, just to be fair I’ll only use twenty percent of my power because of the limit.

“Very good,” said Juri after backing off a little. “Perhaps this will be harder then I anticipated.”

“Oh, I'll make sure of that,” Kazuya replied. He stood there for what felt like an eternity, staring down his opponent. However, the third seat of twelfth division did not counter attack, more to see what she would do more then anything.

“What’s the matter? Your bark worse then your bite?” Juri spat, sensing the man’s hesitation to fight.

Narrowing his eyes at her, the male Shinigami moved with lightning speed at her with the intent to not cut, but to at least scare her a little with his speed. However, she just managed to dodge his quick attacks and even counter a couple of time, although to no success. All the time, Kazuya only held the sword in his one hand, as though not even trying to harm her.

She noticed this, and when they jumped back for a quick breather she said, “Why are you holding back? Wouldn’t you fight for your life to evade the death sentence?”

“Are you still holding on to that feeble lie?” Kazuya retorted. “Just let it go and tell me why you’re really here already. Or is that some super-secret, Vice-Captains Only information?”

“I told you, I don’t need to explain myself to the likes of you, third seat!” Juri spat acidly.

He rolled his eyes at this statement. “We’re just going in circles aren’t we? Talk, attack, talk, attack, talk, attack, rinse and repeat,” replied Kazuya, throwing in a short laugh when he was done.

Suddenly, the Female Shinigami bolted forward to attack again, attacking upwards with enough force to send him flying. His flight didn’t last long though, seeing as how he stopped in mid air. Shifting all his strength to his legs, he hurtled forward towards her as she did the same, the two colliding in the empty sky. The contact created a great crash that went unheard by all except the two warriors on the barren battlefield.

Once again, the man managed to block the attack with a single hand on his Zanpakuto, while the woman held hers in both hands. Looking into her eyes, Kazuya could see a cold fury burning inside, possibly agitated by the fact he could block these attacks as though it were almost nothing. She would be wrong since it took a lot of concentration and effort to block her attacks while holding back his strength.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: I think I rant to much about nothing in my posts, I don't know why I'm bringing that up right now.

IC:

Dammit Juri leaped backwards sliding on the smooth sandDamn it, dammit, dammit, dammit The Female Gritted her teether for another attack, moving in straight at him, but quickly using a shunpo, come from the side, and still, with a single hand he managed to keep her at bay. Dammit! Why can't I land a hit, he's too damn fast, and this limiter isin't helping either. Every time Vice-Captain (Like Juri) or a Captain comes into the real world, they have a severe limit on there powers, weakening them to about 1/5 of their usual power, needless to say this lead to a serious drawback in fighting tough enemies, of which Kazuya, was undoubtable apart of.

What she needed was a plan. Pushing off she stood staring At her opponent a fierce look plastered on her face, as dust rolled across the ground to create an intense, yet cliche atmosphere. “Bakudo 54; Haien!” With her left arm outstretched, a huge almost undodgeable wave of purple fire emitted from it, roaring as if it has just came from an eruption volcano. Now onto the plan, as simple as it was, of course the simplest plans usually yield the most warrant. As the wave drew close to the male Arrancar, he simply leapt high into the air to dodge the attack, of course that was to be expected. In the time it took him to see, analyze, and dodge the first attack, Juri had already known where he was going to go, and thus had already prepared the next attack, by leaping, and turning at lightning speeds, that only a select few Soul Reapers could manage she was able to appear behind Kazuya, the moment he reached the height of his Accent. What she did, was by basic Fencing terms known as as a Feint attack, or a false attack made to cause a reaction by the defending party, that the attacking party can capitalize on in their moment of weakness.

With a heavy hands, on her pommel, she slashed downwards towards Kazuya. Looking back the older Shinigami saw the blade, heated by force barreling down towards him, and in a last second move, twisted his body in order to attempt to dodge the oncoming assault. The sword barely scrapped across the males shinigami's shoulder, cutting a piece of his clothes, and leaving a slight red scrap on his left shoulder. Disappear, and reappearing on the ground serval hundred yards away, he grabbed his shoulder quickly, then nonchalantly looked at his hand to reveal a crimson stain on his white skin. “heh,” he murmured.

Now Juri taking this brief moment of rest landed on the ground, to a harsh cracking sound. Looking down she realized that her action had a two pronged effect. Due to the intense heat of her attack, and the nature of the sand that covered the battle field, the entire area her Kido hit, completely turned into a silvery, incomplete glass, surly she could find someway to use this environmental change to her advantage.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: *Laughs*

BiC:
“Heh,” murmured Kazuya as he looked at the crimson stain on his hand. Juri’s attack had just barely broken the skin, causing a slight tingling sensation on his right shoulder. This didn’t matter to him, having lived through injuries far worse then a meagre scratch. Casting the pain aside he redirected his focus at his long-time rival who was inspecting the pseudo-glass that her Kido had created out of the sand.

“First cut, now I get serious,” said the Male Shinigami out of the blue. He used shunpo to quickly get beside her. “Hado number four; White Lightning!” The bolt of white lightning quickly escaped his fingertips, hitting the female Shinigami square in the chest before she had any time to counter. She flew back a few feet due to the force of the attack, but quickly got to her feet, clutching the place where the Kido had hit.

Giving his opponent no quarter, he quickly went in for a counter offensive. Seeing this, she quickly place both hands on her Zanpakuto to try and hold him off, still obviously displeased it’s taking her so much effort to take down someone lower then her in rank. At first, the male Shinigami threw in wild attacks much like when she was the attacker, however, after a few of those he hit her sword with an upwards strike so powerful it sent her flying.

She’ll release her Zanpakuto soon, I’m sure of it. He decided to give her some breathing room. After all, it wouldn’t be fun if he incapacitated her too soon, right?

“How many time have I told you this?” Kazuya spoke to Juri from afar. “You might be gifted, and you might have a higher rank then me, but one thing you lack which I have is experience. Any good warrior know that sometimes experience is more important then power.”

“Oh yeah?” Retorted his opponent. “Well, in this case, I’d say you lack both.” She then quickly extended her right had out, palm flat, and gripped it with her other hand. “Blue fire, crash down!” With that, a wall of blue, fire-like energy sped toward the male Shinigami. He quickly hurtled himself left to avoid the attack, but was met by the woman instead of the open pit.

Like every other time they cam into close contact Juri made sure that he kept his attention on her. Also like every other time, Kazuya blocked her attacks with naught but a single hand, as if disinterested in the fight itself.

The tides of the battle quickly turned, however. Kazuya was now on the attack once more, leaving Juri the only option of defence. Giving a particularly hard strike against the metal of her Zanpakuto, the force hurtled the female into the ground, sliding on her back several feet, thus cutting her up as sharp rocks and pieces of fake glass scrapped across her skin.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

**** Without so much as a second thought, she quickly planted her hands on the ground behind her as she skidded across the ground, and by pushing down on the sandy surface was able to flip onto her feet, and come to a stop. The female Shinigami looked at her right arm, which was riving in pain, to see a sharp five inche piece of broken glass protruding from it. With one clean pull she ripped it from her arm, and promptly threw the blood piece to the ground, “Fine, you want to play hard ball,” Juri Said with an almost sick smile her blade pointed towards her opponent. “Shoot For the Heavens, Uindokami!” The Guard of the blade, on either side quickly expanded in a showering white light, and the blade, took the form of a Bow.

“About time,”

“You have no idea,” With a step forward, female bow wielding Shinigami moved as such a fast speed that she seemed like a blur, Appearing behind Kazuya, she hesitated the use of her weapon, so first she shot what looked to be a blue ball of fire at her opponent from behind. Of course the ever aware Shinigami leapt over the attack, and swiftly turned to face his back, where his opponent was standing, only to find she was no longer there. Looking towards the sky he caught a glance of his opponent, her finger tip slightly apart, as an arrow rained down on him.

I, don't need to beat him She thought to her self as she felt the cold metal of her arrow escape from her hands, no, all I need to do The arrow shot down in a blurring speed, gaining momentum every second, Is prove that he's The Arrancar, was not unaware of this attack, and at the sight of the powerful attack, he had seen many time, stepped halfway to the side as he had nowhere else to escape, Keeping Secrets! at the last second the arrow changed path, curing in midflight straight towards Kazuya, the bladed weapons struck across his side, tearing at his skin, and continuing till it hit the ground. The attack itself not hit with its full force, but it left a sizeable gash on Kazuya's left side.

Falling to the ground gracefully, Juri did not even bother to turn around to have her “enemy”, she merely with her casual, and somewhat arrogant tone of voice addressed him, “Hayashi, Kazuya, would you please stop this charade, you're fooling no one with this...I know that you're hiding something from me, my division, and the soul society in whole. If you hold dear your life, then I suggest you cooperate with me, and reveal what you've been hiding. I know you know your Shikai, and if you don't show it to me willingly...Then I'll just beat you down until you have no choice.”

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

A mixture of shock and fear coursed throughout the Shinigami’s body. However, he managed to hide these feelings from view of his opponent, knowing that such a reaction would only fuel the fire. Opening his mouth, a sudden thought entered his head, She’s bluffing. I’ve never told a single soul about Ranpuhime, not even Taro-san. What should I do? Play with her head, or just get it over with? After all, she can’t stay a secret forever … nah, If I do, I’ll wait for a while.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Juri,” Kazuya replied. “If I had a Shikai, don’t you think everyone would know about it? Then again, I’m not one to brag. Unlike you, if I did achieve Bankai, I wouldn’t tell everyone and their grandmother about it.”

"Kazuya,” Juri Replied. “You're far to defensive, you mask the truth with pointless insults. I know, you have achieved Shikai, so just show me and I promise to make your death quick"

Shaking his head, the Arrancar looked at his opponent and chuckled. “I don’t have a Shikai, and I’m not hiding anything from anyone,” lied Kazuya. “However, if you’re so determined to kill me, then give me your best shot, child.”

Even from this distance, he could see the fury that now burned in her eyes. He knew he had pushed a very dangerous button, one that could mean his defeat should he foul up too much. The woman pulled back on her bow, another blade primed and ready to go. “Show it to me now, or die!” Juri said through clenched teeth.

“Then I guess I should go shopping for a tombstone, eh?” Kazuya replied fearlessly. The female Shinigami then released the blade, letting it fly freely thought the air. Acting quickly, the Arrancar blocked the blade with his own, less then an inch away from hitting him in the heart. Using shunpo, he quickly moved behind her before another blade-arrow could appear.

With deep regret for hurting a fellow Shinigami, he quickly plunged his Zanpakuto deep into her shoulder, only stopping when her flesh and bone prevented the hilt from moving any farther. Deciding to send a clear message to his opponent, he wiggled it and moved it around, causing her to groan and cry out in pain. Putting his foot on the small of her back, he pulled the blade out from her shoulder, crimson blood staining the blade and dripping to the sand at his feet.

“You’re slow,” he whispered to her before moving back, allowing some time for her to recover. After all, It’s no fun the cat doesn’t play with the mouse before finishing it, is it?

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

**** She was well aware of what was about to happen, seconds before it happened. Her fighting instincts where so finely tuned that she was able to pick up on the signs, but even then there was little she could do, for the second the tip of his blade touched her skin it was over, she couldn't run away, she couldn't escape what was coming next. As seconds turned to minutes, and minutes to hours she felt the cold blade shove itself through her, and then burst out the other side. It took forever in her mind, each second seemed to grown in intensity, but she couldn't do anything. The pain she felt quickly spread from her shoulder, to her arm, then her torso, until it felt like her body was on fire, as she remained paralyzed in pain.

By the time the cold steel had removed itself from her body, she had already fallen to her knees, as her legs no longer felt the need to keep her body up. She could hear her opponent speak, but she couldn't understand the words, as her eyes started to blur, it was as if she was deaf, and dumb. Unbeknownst to her, Juri had grabbed onto the gapping hole in her shoulder. Clearing her vision, she turned to the wounds, as drops of blood seeped through her fingers, and dripped onto the ground staining the sand a crimson red. I'm going to kill him, dammit I didn't want to do this...

Standing to her feet one hand still clutching her wound, she turned to face Kazuya, thanking her lucky stars that his attack didn't damage and major bones, or ligaments so she could still use her arm, “Kazuya, you forget...the only reason your winning is because of the seal on my powers...” Her face stern, and cold, “But what you didn't know...Is I already have authority to remove that block on my powers,” With her good hand she rips part of her clothes around the spot where Kazuya struck, revealing a glowing flowered pattern, with a blood hole in the middle of it, “Limit Release!” At that moment her pure Reitsu was released in a powerful red Aura around her, sending dust flying in all directions. With this as a distraction, she quickly Disappeared with her Shunpo, and then reappeared Behind Kazuya, who had little time to react. Her Right hand was outstretched, and placed on his back.

Her voice was cold, and harsh, almost as if leaving no room for contestantion, “Black Coffin,” “ As she spoke a swirling dark energy appeared around her hands, and as she finished her words, the energy manifested itself around the Male Shinigami, trapping him within a dark, box-shaped vortex. Her Cold face showed no hints of remorse as a dozen of light spears surrounded the box, nor when the first started forward.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Darkness surrounded the Shinigami’s entire being as the Kido took effect. The box blocked all sound from the outside world, creating a soundless environment that chilled him to the bone. He knew what was about to happen, having seen it used twice before. However, he knew not which blade would come from where. Even if he did, it would serve no used to him seeing as how the blades of energy were unstoppable.

Suddenly, he felt the first blade scratch his right side, just enough to cause bleeding. In quick succession, nine more blades pierced the box. However, he found he could dodge them despite the small enclosure. That all changed when the tenth entered the box, stabbing him in the shoulder where he stabbed Juri. I don’t believe in Karma, but I’m sure that’s what happened just now, Kazuya thought through the pain.

Now knowing how a shish-ka-bob must feel, the Arrancar stopped dodging. This was partially because he couldn’t for fear of making his current wounds worse. None the less, as more swords entered the box, the Shinigami continued to do his best at dodging the myriad of energy swords that came through.

Eventually, the swords stopped coming, the box and many weapons beginning to fade from existence. Relief came to the man as the box disappeared, blood beginning to flow freely from all of his wounds. Crimson stained the black fabric of his shihakusho from the many holes that now littered the uniform. As the final sword disappeared, he fell to his knees and coughed up blood.

I didn’t expect she would have permission to release her Limiter. I’ll have to remember that in the future, thought the Arrancar as he struggled to get to his feet. Using his sword as a crutch, he pulled himself up despite the pain. Juri could unleash another kurohitsugi at any second; he’d have to distract her or he would die.

“Juri,” spoke the Shinigami softly. “Have you ever heard of the expression, ‘Never wake a sleeping tiger’? If not, I feel sorry or you.”

Unresponsive, the man continued to speak. “I’m afraid I cannot go easy on you anymore, especially after that move.”

“Oh?” Juri replied. “I thought you said you were already serious? Don’t take me for a fool, Kazuya, I know you’ve hit the wall.” Smiling, the Shinigami went to make another move. Kido or not, he would never know.

“Koushi Nami!” Kazuya shouted. Swinging his Zanpakuto upwards, the attack hit the female Shinigami at point-blank range, unable to dodge either the wave or the small explosion that sent her flying. As the heavy dust cloud cleared, the Arrancar could see the Vice-Captain slowly rise to her feet. A smile cracked on Kazuya’s face as he realised it was his time to show Soul Society what he could do at last.

“For too long have you mocked me, Juri Lee. From this day forward, you will no longer have the luxury of calling me weak or unworthy of my rank,” spoke the third seat. “Shine forth, Ranpuhime!”

OoC: I think you can handle the transformation and what happens after. ^_^

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Juri was no doubt in trouble, though she failed to admit that to herself. Her clothes where ripped, and torn, and she had suffered severe burns from all over her body. Not to mention the sizable hold in her right shoulder. But none of that mattered to her, as she heard the words echo through her ears 'Shine forth...' so he was lying. She chucked to herself, a the sword began to form itself, of course as she watched she couldn't fail to notice he was almost in just as bad a shape having survived a Black Coffin from a Vice-Captain was nothing to scoff about, that's for sure.

As the blades energy twisted, and turned, she knew she was going to have some trouble, the spirit energy released from his release was far greater then hers, and if that wasn't bad enough, she could tell by looking at his blade that it was an impressive release, it seemed that the blade itself had become light, and with it he no doubt gained unprecedented powers. Maybe there is more to this guy then I though She mused readying her bow, I guess he deserves my respect after all,

he was fast, almost impossible so, if she had not seen his foot move back as if to start a run then she would have been left there seconds later a bloody mess. But she had seen, and leapt into the air, shooting downwards as he stopped his newly fashioned blade out, just in time to dodge it.The arrow was fast, so fast it easily broke the sound barrier, but that meant nothing, for it seemed that as soon as he looked up her was gone, and almost immediately as he left her sights she felt a shot to her back, sending her face first into a hill.

“Dammit, what was that,” She said to herself, picking herself off the ground in aggravation.

“Did you enjoy it,” Kazuya said as he suddenly appeared right beside her.

“Piss off,” She said slashing hard towards him, but he simply disappeared, as she lost her balance in the swing, and feel into the sound.

“I'm much faster then you Juri, you don't stand a chance,”

“I said piss off,” She said Going to stab at him, but she already knew where he was to go next, as he simply appeared behind her, “ Kido #61 Six rod prison of light!” before he had a chance to react six rods of pure light matched his speed, and stuck into his midsection, rendering movement all but impossible, “There, now that I've got you to stay still,”

“Niji Kei!” He said simply, and coldly, causing a rainbow snake to shoot forward. Though this abstract form of light was not moving at a speed even close to what is considered undodgeable, the younger Shinigami was far to close, and had left her guard open. She was fast enough to start to duck causing the attack to rip through her shoulder in a furry of blood, and then quickly Shunpo away, to the top of the hill they where on.

“Stop this Juri, I do not find enjoyment from hurting other Shinigami, but if we continue you will get seriously hurt,” He pleaded with her, as he quickly smashed the light rod prison with his blade.

“NO! I will not lose to you, I am here to execute you, and that is what I plan to do!” Juri said in frustration, she wouldn't, couldn't, mustn't lose. Not to him, not to anyone, “I'll fight you till the end of time, or one of us has given into death, no sooner, no later!”

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Sighing at his rival’s stubborn attitude, the male Shinigami looked at her with a shadow of concern. “Don’t go throwing your life away, Juri Lee. There is no way you can win right now, even if you used Bankai,” he said.

“Why would I waste my Bankai on the like of you!?” Juri spat acidly.

A long silence pierced the empty atmosphere, leaving only the gentle hum of Kazuya’s blade, heard amongst the gusts of wind. Although he had not been hurt this much for a long while, he still managed to push the pain aside in his mind, as though it were not even there. Growing tired of the ominous silence that enveloped them, the death god spoke again.

“Fine, don’t.” Kazuya replied. “What does it matter to me if I get a good fight in or not? Especially since I’m about to be ‘executed.’ Or so you say.”

Even though they were a good ten meters apart, the Arrancar could tell she was gritting he teeth in rage. As much as he hated to say it, the act looked quite comical in his eyes. However, as he saw her pull back on the bowstring, he could tell his so-called comrade was anything but amused by the situation. “You’re dead!” She shouted as she released the blade-arrow.

Shaking his head at his opponent, he used his special ability, which he called Light Step, to sneak to Juri’s side and jab her with the hilt of his Zanpakuto. Then, he delivered a fast kick to the stomach that caused her to fly into the metal supports of a nearby crane. As her body slammed into the steel framework, it buckled and bent to conform to her shape and maintain the structural integrity.

Leaving Light Step, he showed her no quarter. Dashing toward her he swung lightly with his sword made of pure light. However, she ducked down at the last second, causing his sword to cut through the steel like a red-hot knife in butter. Molten metal landed on a ripped portion of his clothing, burning his skin enough for him to grasp the area and shout in pain.

I’ll have to be a little more careful with that,
the Shinigami thought as the initial pain subsided from his arm. Wheeling on the spot, the man found that his opponent had vanished. While he seethed in pain she must have taken the opportunity to conceal herself, thus giving her the element of surprise. Cautiously waking forward, the man began to sniff her out, having caught a whiff of her scent. It was times like this he loved his super sensitive nose.

Meanwhile, wherever his nemesis lurked, she watched him from the shadows, ready to strike just as soon as the conditions were right.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Opportunity strikes. How long did he take his eyes off her anyway? One second? Two at the most. But such time, thought merely a pittance, was more then enough to escape, and hide. Though hiding was not out of fear, or pain, but for she knew that her adversary outmatched her, and strength alone could not let her win. With a blurring speed, she found herself, deep into the flowing sand dunes of the minning area.

By solidifying her spirit energy, around her she created a box that blocked the sand from caving in on her, giving her free movement underground by moving the energy with her. Though this still posed a problem, and that being the slight bulge in the sand above her as she moved. But that was no problem, with any luck he wouldn't notice till it was too late, and he had found himself ambushed.

She could sense him clearly, through the sand. He was a beacon of light in the darkness to her, so vivid, and clear. His extraordinary spiritual pressure gave away his position at all times, and she was well aware of his speed at this point, which was above, and beyond any Flash Step. She had to work around that to achieve victory. Her fingers tensed as she drew her bow, and like a flash of lightning the arrow ripped through the sand, melting the sand where it burst though. The ever present Shinigami, whilst sniffing the air, quickly blocked the attack with a simple hand motion, turning to see where it came from. Then as he looked another streaked through the air in a blaze, missing him by just inches.

“She's in the Sand” He caught on quickly, perhaps far to quickly for her liking. While she didn't actually hear his voice, her mind quickly caught on, as she saw waves of blue fireballs smashing through the sand close to her. He was missing, but not by enough, That she was certain. Time for phase two.

“Haien!”, Suddenly a wave of purple fire emitted from the Female's Shinigami's hand, licking through the sand, and molding it into the silvery glass like substance she had made before, the flames streamed through the dune, and into the air, just missing the 3rd Ranked officer. Seeing this Kazuya, quickly backed away higher into the air, aiming an attack towards the silver glass.

“Twin Lotus Blue Fire Crash down!” The Bolts ripped through the glass shattering it, and sending the pieces high into the air, tearing away from the sand dune, revealing a smiling Juri, her hand still smoking from the attack, “No wheres to run,” As the glass flew upwards towards Kazuya, he quickly dodged, landing on the ground with minimal injuries, only to millions of glass shards raining down on the battle field all around him.

OoC: Did that make sense?...I think it did...but what do I know.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Manipulating her spiritual pressure to move under the sand? It was a good tactic by a long shot, considering what she was doing before, yet it still was not crafty enough. That sand had to move somewhere and in this case, it formed a mound over where she crawled. Even a run-of-the-mill Hollow would be able to tell she was hiding under there.

All that remained was how to counter act her ingenious, although rather flawed, plan. As he dodged both arrows and falling chunks of razor-sharp glass an idea came to mind. If she was underground, why not flush her out? Still, how could he accomplish such a feat? Suddenly, it hit him like that black coffin earlier. Sure, it would be risky, but it would cause her to drop her guard long enough for him to strike back.

Grinning in spite of himself, he slowly suppressed his spiritual pressure as he continued to dodge arrow after badly aimed arrow. Occasionally, he would let one or two graze him, just to enhance the illusion of his impending defeat as the mound of sand that was Juri continued to move around like a conniving spider amongst the jungle floor.

The illusion is good, but if I continue without countering she may be suspicious. I’d better strike back now.

Slowly, his Zanpakuto began to absorb the sunlight from around him as he continued to dodge arrows. A seven second charge would be sufficient to pierce down to her depth; she wasn’t in very deep after all. With the charge set to a satisfactory level, he pointed the tip at the slight bulge in the sand and shouted, “Taiyou Bakufuu!”

A powerful blast of light energy hurtled toward her, hitting the sand and causing a terrible explosion that rocked the sand around her, sending her flying. Despite the veil of the dust and debris, Kazuya could sense that his opponent lay face down on the ground, possibly stunned by the vicious attack. Dust continued to twirl and dance as the hand of the wind guided it out of sight, revealing that his quarry was just uprighting herself. He loved spiritual pressure.

“Are you quite ready to give up now, Juri?” Kazuya asked the lieutenant. “Although I must say that was quite the clever little trick. Especially coming from someone like you.” Adding a mocking smile he gave a small chuckle as he saw the look of utter indignation etched on her face.

“Better from me, then from you,” Juri replied coldly. “I'm sure you would mess it up, and burn yourself instead.”

“Oh ha ha, let’s all pick on a tiny mistake. No one’s perfect, you know,” retorted the third seat.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

“Your a clumsy fool, no wonder you havn't become a Vice-Captain,” Juri was looking at Kazuya with new eyes. Despite her harsh words, and vicious tounge that always accompanied her, she couldn't help but respect him, he was stronger then she had anticipated, and even managed to put up one hell of a fight against a Vice-Captain. His speed, strength, and tenacity where more then she expected, and she had to respect him for his abilities, even if she didn't like him.

“I guess I never will, since I am going to be executed,” For some reason Juri couldn't keep that sill charade up anymore, he knew it was fake, and she knew it was fake.

“The truth is, I didn't come here to execute you,”

“I know, but that leads to the question of why you decided to come here” He said with a slight smile floating above the ground.

“The truth is I came here on my brother command. He doesn't trust you. He thought you where hiding something from the soul society, and since he is in charge of of real world patrol he deserves to know your powers to put a lock on them,. Your too powerful to go flaunting your powers, and then lying about them Kazuya, and if anyone but me found out your Would have been executed for your actions,”

“So...that's the truth,”

“Yes...Kazuya. I know you have a Bankai, your spiritual pressure, and connection with your blade is far to strong for you not to. I don't want you to die, and if you hide that from the Soul Society you will be labeled a Traitor. So fight me now with it, and we shall end this battle in a blaze of glory, and fire. Then no matter the victor, we will both survive.” She said with a sigh, “Your strong Kazuya...more then I thought, so lets finish this,” At once her entire Spiritual energy emerged from her forming a Fox like Aura then turning into a giant red flame aura around her, “Kazuya, you will die if you don't. I am not holding back. Please show me your true strength, and live!” Holding her bow high above her head, she said the words every Hollow feared, “BANKAI!”

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: Short post, but I didn't know what her (Juri's) reaction would be to his Banaki, and I didn't feel like bothering Puck-kitty.

BiC:
Seconds seemed to pass like minutes while in front of him raged the torrent of spiritual energy. He looked on with a cold stare despite the harsh winds whipping at his being. Only on rare occasions would a vice-captain release their Bankai in the real world. Kazuya had to feel a little special at that. Yet, there was no denying that he would have to show his in order to beat her now.

Finally, the pressure stopped mounting, allowing him to get a good idea of her power. “Well, looks like I’ll have to stop calling your Bankai weak,” he said with a short chuckle afterwards. She was strong, much stronger then even he could overestimate. It appeared to him that this fight might just prove entertaining yet.

“Well,” spoke Juri Lee. “I’m waiting.”

“Eh,” shrugged the third seat. “Your funeral, or whatever.” Lifting the tip of the blade until it was vertical, he placed the blade of energy in front of his face, the humming edge just a breath from his nose. “Bankai.”

At long last, Kazuya though as a tornado of light engulfed him. An opponent strong enough to withstand my Bankai for more then a few seconds. This should be good.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

Juri had to shield he eyes with her newly formed wing to stop the light from blinding her. After a few minutes of the powerful light tornado twirlling around her opponent it finally died down spreading the light winds outwards blowing sand, dust, glass and dried blood into the atmosphere. Juri slid her foot back, and took flight, dashing into the air, then dive bombing downwards, not waiting time waiting for him to explain every last detail of his Bankai, like she expected him too.

As she split through the air towards him, she found her left wing blade arm suddenly blocked by a strange force. It looked like an oddly colored light blocking her attack. Disappearing she reappeared a little ways back hovering over one of the many sand dunes. The strange light reformed, and charged towards Juri at near light speed. Even at her highly advanced level she was just able to move out of the was before the light particles crashed into the dune in a blast of sand.

Moving higher in the air she attempted to survey the battle field. Catching sight of her opponent she noticed that the light seemed to swirl around him when not attack, it must have been his Bankai. It was to be expected given the name of his weapon. It meant light princess after all. Quickly moving to dodge another blast, she turned to see the light blast ad turned to strike her again. She had to move quickly to dodge that strike, and the one that followed immediately afterwards. His attacks where fast, almost too fast. She couldn't move at that speed forever, and he wasn't even getting tired at all standing there. It was a very useful Bankai she must admit, he was able to attack and keep his opponent far away, without risking injury, or getting physically fatigued. She had no idea the extent of his Bankai, nor the length he could hold it for. So playing a game of cat and mouse would not be a very wise move.

Dodging yet another blast, she flew upwards high into the sky, so that that she was directly in front of the sun. “Ame no Ohabari” She yelled into the wind, pointing her black wing downwards, shooting off nearly a hundred different pointed feathers. One of them had to hit, and when they did, she would be able to get in close to attack.

OoC: Another short one...Sorry....I am just having trouble describing your Bankai...

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

A cloud of black feathers blocked the radiant sun from view for what felt like an eternity as the barrage came down upon the Shinigami’s head. Kazuya’s expression remained unchanged as they descended upon him, for just a simple thought could stop them. Doing just that, he made the light he controlled form a dome around him just before the storm came.

Each black feather pounded the barrier of spiritual energy, but that was not what the third seat was worried about. Given her past attack patterns, if any, Kazuya figured this might be just a ploy: something to cover her true attack while distracting him at the same time. If he didn’t know any better, then it just might have worked. Sadly, Juri had no idea that he practiced almost daily ever since he graduated from the academy.

Sure enough, when the barrage ceased and the dust began to settle, he sensed her charge at him. Not one to disappoint his opponents, Kazuya lifted the barrier and reformed some of the light onto his arm, creating a three-foot long blade of light. Spiritual energy clashed as the two made contact inside the torrent of uplifted earth, neither willing to stand down to the other.

Without thinking, the Arrancar slipped behind his opponent using a light step. Then, concentrating some of his spiritual pressure to his foot, he jumped into the air and landed a kick to her back, causing her to fly out of the dust cloud and into a crane. As he walked out of the cloud, all he saw was naught but a twisted section of frame where she must have landed. Alas, she was no where in sight.

“I must say,” spoke the third seat out into the emptiness of the mine. “No hollow has ever last this long against me. However, I’m afraid it’s about time I break for lunch. I’m sorry, but this will have to end now,” he finished while adding a small grin.

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

“No hollow has ever last this long against me. However, I’m afraid it’s about time I break for lunch. I’m sorry, but this will have to end now,” Just as he finished his last words he was kicked in the back, and flew forward. Turning his eyes widened as he say a flock of feathers raining down at him as he fell. Above him Juri lee with smiling, he gave himself an opening by opening his abnormally large mouth. He deserved what he got, you should never open your mouth in that sort of situation, especially against an enemy of such a high caliber. He learned his lesson well though, I doubt he'd make that mistake again, even if it was partly a trap.

You see as Juri Lee flew towards the towering crane, an idea struck her, as she flew she used her blade arm to strike through the crane, giving it the appearance of her hitting it. She figured his mind would be too caught up with that, then he'd leave an opening for her to capitalize on. Lowering her output of spirit energy it was easy sneaking behind Kazuya with a shunpo, and the rest as they say, is history.

The smoke from her attack was soon pushed away by his spirt energy, judging by the numerous new cuts on his body, Juri figured he brought up his light shield about one tenth way through her onslaught, so he blocked most of that attack with ease. He didn't look very happy, on the other hand he didn't look angry either, it seemed as though he rarely showed emotion at all, and other then his stupid jokes it be hard to tell what he was thinking at all. “I'm must apologize, but your going to have to miss your tea, and Crumpets today. As you wont be in any position to eat soon enough,” A cocky joke, even though she knew that Kazuya was much stronger then her, despite her higher rank. As her Onii-Chan had predicted he was hiding his accomplishments from the soul society, but for what reason she could not deduce.

“I said I'm going to finish this, don't go and struggle or you'll only wind up getting even more hurt,”

“By what? Your Bankai that doesn't exist?,” She said with a smile, “Of course you'd be interested to know that the Soul Society is watching this fight with great interest, my brother in particular. It may be true that they didn't send me here to kill you, but they did send me here, and that was too find out two things. One: What exactly you are hiding from them, and secondly: Why. You have already answered the first by your actions here today, and now it is time for you to answer the second. Its better you do to me while they watch, or keep it longer, and find your head truly under the chopping block.”

Re: Reasons for Fighting (Ciroton)

OoC: Excuse the shortness.

BiC:
“Of course you'd be interested to know that the Soul Society is watching this fight with great interest, my brother in particular,” Juri started. “It may be true that they didn't send me here to kill you, but they did send me here, and that was too find out two things. One: What exactly you are hiding from them, and secondly: Why. You have already answered the first by your actions here today, and now it is time for you to answer the second. Its better you do to me while they watch, or keep it longer, and find your head truly under the chopping block.”

As much as Kazuya hated to admit it, he could not help but mentally commend Juri and her skills. In just under an hour, she managed to uncover three hundred years worth of secrets. Not only that, but she confirmed his feeling that Soul Society was suspicious of him. This tiny tidbit may satisfy them for now, however, soon enough they may try to find out more. No, he wouldn’t worry about that bridge until it came.

“Well, answer me!” Juri boomed. It was more of a command then a request.

“The truth of it?” Kazuya said lightly. “The truth is… I didn’t want all the attention. If everyone knew I had achieved Shikai and Bankai, they would flock all over me. Possibly, they would tell me that I should try out for a Lieutenant or maybe even a Captain position. I’m happy where I am, and I don’t want to be pressured by my peers to do anything.” Giving a small sigh, the Shinigami continued. “Just so you know, I’ve never told another soul about either until this very day.”
