Out of Character Thread: The Papaya Regime

New OOC Thread time, brought to you by yours truly.

The Community Thread serves the following purposes as regards the BA:

1. The discussion of anything BA related such as characters, battles and writing technique

2. Writing in general may be discussed as well. Giving helpful hints about writing style and helping others to improve their writing are very welcome

3. Immersive situations can also be discussed in this thread wher a member may come up with a situation and ask other members to share their opinions or answers to such a situation.


Now, beyond that, the Community Thread also exists for casual chatting and general discussions on any number of topics. Serious discussions are also catered for, as writing often draws from internal reflection. Just remember that this is not the I:SB. The Community Thread may be somewhat lenient, but that doesn't give you the right to abuse it.

The Rules

The following rules are non-negotiatable and will be adhered to:

1. Posts that contribute nothing to the discussion will be deleted on-sight.

2. Posting without an approved character is not allowed.

3. Flaming will be severely frowned upon and may lead to an infraction.

4. Blatant sexual content will be met with an immediate infraction.

5. Excessive swearing will be rewarded with an infraction.

6. Evading the swear-filter will warrant a post deletion or editing.

7. Picture plugging is to be deleted on sight, this is not an image-board. Supply links instead.

8. There will be no exceptions or special favours. Those who deserve an infraction will get one, regardless of gender, status, popularity, pwnsomeness or Councilorship.

9. Mods are expected to fullfil their duties and you as BA'ers must demand that those duties are fullfilled and that any violation of these rules is immediately reported to them.

Overall, this is to be kept family-friendly. Smutty behaviour is not outlawed, of course, but not at the expense of intelligence. We're here to have fun, humour, discuss and socialise. Just don't step out of line.

Anyway What gave you your idea for your charcater?

I got the idea for Krayt by basing his appearence off of myself, his outfit off of danny phantom (Original outfit, current outfit is something I just made up), his origin and race from the Saiyans of DBZ and his attitude from my moral values. He ended up sounding like a Super Man rip off, but Ive strayed away from that with his new upgrade!

It's not so much a matter of time as it is of usage. Entering the Dome with your character, or engaging in, like...one or two good battles/RPs/character fics should be sufficient enough to show that you actually will use your first one.

Hmm...

Cain was created 'cuz I wanted to make an original vampire. At first I tried to do this by basing him off of the original myths (Something that not even Dracula was based on), but that only got him so far. Then I thought of giving him the ability to assimilate other vamp's powers, and huzzah.

Lament came about 'cuz I was bored of Eiro, and wanted a homunculus character.

TDC was simple. I wanted a kid character to horribly punish, so voila. He's the kind of character that you can't help but pity.

The original Ziran was a blatant rip-off of Jin from Yu Yu Hakusho. After I retired him however, I noticed that there was a lot of demand for a return. To make the new Ziran more original, I made him into a hyper catboy. ^_^

Anyway my character esdon is a nearly completly original character with the idea of lossing his parents at a young age from oot link but apart from that all original off my head sort of stuff.

I got the origional idea for Keldar from watching an Inuyasha marathon while incredibly tired. Then I messed with his appearence and personality and biography and pretty much everything until I liked it. Plus demons are just plain cool.

Ahem. I saw your picture in VGRC's scrapbook. Two things:

1) I have that EXACT same guitar. And...

2) YOU BE TEH HAWTEST AZN EVAR O-O

Oooooo, New OoC: thread

J and Roery where obviously first based off of mega man, but then I took their same pictures, and gave them a completely made up, original history and story, along with a few more different powers and whatnot.

J is based off me. Roery is based off a bunch of girls I know, all mixed into one

Akira is quiet original. I think I originally was going to make a night elf druid... then a night elf druid demon... then a blue ice cat demon... That’s weird how that came about <<

New OoC - woot~!

Joker was a random side character in another RP that I made up on the spot really. Then I fleshed him out to make him my first BA character ^_^ He holds a special corner of my heart hostage.

Kyralie... I wanted to make another character so I kind of just thought up different races and landed on a Valkyrie. Then I just... went from there, thinking of quirks for her til she was completed ^^

The guitar belongs to a friend's brother, but awesome. And thank yoooou! XD

As for the question, I can only remember where the inspiration for Tracey and Hunter came from. Tracey's an obvious one: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and Dame Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. As for Hunter, he more or less came from Cress Albane of Tales of Phantasia, mixed with various chivalrous knight and prince archetypes and characters. He's since then branched out into his own a bit, thanks to the people he's met and the places he's been.

I';m tired of these OoC questions, they keep repeating themselves in different forms.

We need more situations, not questions.

J would have his armor on, which can cover every inch of his skin, and then start punting penguins left and right :XD

Roery unfortunately doesn’t have a helmet... but she would also kick and shoot the hoard of horny flesh eating penguins

Akira would die... she would glomp the penguins... and die...

I have thought of that question and the answer to that question since I joined here. Keldar would fly away as fast as he possibly could and fire blasts of dark magic at them until they were all dead.

I am not too sure anymore where she came from. However, her distinctive hands came from The Girl with No Hands from Grimm. And her personality was patterned after Pearl's from the Scarlet Letter.
