Crystal Night [Anyone; Limit 4]

OoC: I shall be using my newest character, Apokalypsis. Make sure your character can hold his/her own against mine, since mine is rather strong. We don't necessarily need to fight each other, but it's likely that we will.




BiC:

Nothing. All that existed was darkness. These black lands held no life. There was no Moon in the sky, for it was a new moon night. The stars were shielded by dark clouds. The earth was black here, and broken by a massive cliff. At the base of the cliff were many big flat rocks, and sharp pointy rocks. Among the rocks were many tall gray canyon crystals, sharper than imaginable. They glinted what little starlight there was. Also reflecting some starlight were veins of silvery metal that could be seen in the face of the cliff.

The only truly living thing here was a very large warhorse, black in color, standing at the top of the cliff. Next to it stood a man covered in a black mantle, with a long and deadly halberd on his back. He scanned the lands, in search of who knows what.

This was where Apokalypsis' master, the great demon lord Apollyon, had sent him. These empty dead lands. In search of what? An artifact that Apollyon thought would make Apokalypsis unstoppable. The name of the artifact was long and hard to pronounce in Elvish, but would translate to "Crystal Night." It was a blade made from black crystal, enchanted in such a way that it was strong against Light magic, which most Dark magics were weak against.

All in all, if Apokalypsis were able to obtain the Crystal Night, he could easily fight against Light magic. Normally, Apokalypsis would be crippled and destroyed at the mere touch of Light magic. This weapon would be very useful indeed.

So, here he was. Alone...or so he thought. Supposedly, the Crystal Night was somewhere in these black lands. That wasn't all that was there though...Apokalypsis wasn't as alone as he thought he was...


OoC: And thus we may begin. This is the first RP that I've initiated myself, so hopefully it works.

OoC: May I reserve a post? I won't be able to reply for prolly a week or two, but I would really like to join.

OOC: My character esdon quicksword(link in sig (more commonly knowen as the hunter)would make a great foe for hes a guardian of light & destroyer of evil.

BIC: Esdon gazed across the dark land where notting but evil stood.
Humph so my tip off was right this place needs a good cleansing of evil & darkness he mumbled to himself. His eagle conpaion stri looked eaggerly across the plain at the darkness beyond from his pearch on esdon's shoulder plate. Stri took fight screching as he flew upwards.
So theres an anouther here Said esdon smiling as stri set flight towards the darkness. Esdon ran in persuit making sure to make as little sound as possible and doing very well the only sounds that came from the pair was the flapping of stri's wings & the soft sound of esdons footfalls followed by the brushing sound coming from his cloak. After a while of running across the dark plain esdon came to a building that appeared to once be a wherehouse but was no more than a damaged black building. Esdon came to the wherehouses edge and glanced round the corner. In the distance near a cliff edge was a black man who radeated evil Esdon glanced at the large halbrad on his back.
Wow said esdon quietly as stri landed on the wherehouse I might have found a true foe. Esdon dove back behind the corner to avoid being seen by the man as he glanced back at the wherehouse. Esdon smiled as he drew silently drew his bow & two arrows from his quiver.
Time to pratice my shotting said esdon to himself. With this he dove round the corner & released two arrows at the evil stranger by the cliff. with both arrows flying straight and true dispiet there mid jump lunch. They had a small chance of missing.

OoC: Wolfen, your spot is reserved.

lord of hunters, I don't mind if you join, but I must say, that was one of the hardest to read paragraphs I've ever read. I highly suggest you improve on your grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I mean, at least use spell check, and some decent quotation marks when your character speaks!

BiC:

As Apokalypsis stood on the edge of the cliff, pondering where the Crystal Night could be, he suddenly sensed the presence of Light magic. He knew it was somewhere behind him and did not wish to alert whomever it was to the fact that he knew they were there. Instead, he slowly reached for the battle axe on his right hip; Sphazo.

He resorted to his sense of hearing now, rather than his ability to sense Light enchantments. Footsteps... Wing beats... In the emptiness of the dead lands they were in, it was rather easy to hear anything out of place. Any noise at all was essentially out of place. Suddenly he heard a noise that he needed to react on. Flying arrows...

Using Sphazo, and thrusting the axe into the air, Apokalypsis raised a sheet of hard black stone out of the ground, which caused the arrows to break on contact. Instead of just releasing the dark stone, Apokalypsis launched it backwards in hopes of striking his foe with it. He heard a crash as the earth rammed into the wall of the old, burnt building, the remains of what had once been a storehouse for crystal harvesting. The weak wood caved and collapsed, bringing the entire building to the ground.

Now, and only now, did Apokalypsis turn around to face his attacker. He saw a man, covered in steel. His legs were covered with small throwing daggers, and two short swords. In total, the man was carrying at least five swords. This alone was an indication of the strength of this man, as it would take a man of great strength to be able to carry so much heavy metal and not fall to his knees.

The oddest thing about the man was his blue hair. Apokalypsis had never seen anyone with blue hair before. It just wasn't...natural. Still bearing Sphazo, and now also brandishing Nikao, Apokalypsis slowly walked towards this newcomer.

"Tell me, blue-haired...one," Apokalypsis wasn't exactly positive as to his race. "What brings you here? And what is the reason for your...assault?"

Apokalypsis stopped moving, and swung his battle axes in his hands a bit, showing his dexterity.

"Well?" he asked.

OOC: sorry about my grammer I was in a hurry to write that one so I didn't have time to check anything.

BIC: Esdon was surprised how his arrows were deflected and countered. Earth magic used by someone who is producing shadow energy like smoke from a forest fire the area around the man was full of evil like that esdon was use too. The man turned to him and spoke.
"Tell me blue haired one what brings you here and what is the reason for this assult"the man said in a wicked vocie. Esdon didn't repliy for once he was to buzy guaging his opponients strengh. " Well" said the man speaking in the same tone. Esdon stood up for he was lying on the ground still after his mid air arrow fire.
" I'll the hunter" said esdon smiling proudly but his opponient haden't even flinched. Esdon looked affended "what you haven't heard of me" he said in surprise. The man shock his head."Damn it half way accross the darkness and I still haven't been heard of by anything more than stray demons" Esdon frowned acting like he didn't even fire two arrows at this guy.
The man looked anoyed "tell me why you tried to harm me "he said in an even wickeder vocie.
"Well then thats simple" he said calmly " I hunt evil because I'm a guardian of light pretty much an angel on earth". At this esdon dove forwards drawing both his swords on his hips he pushed himself to full speed which ment his opponents only saw him as a blur. Esdon slamed his swords into the mans chest sending him backwards into what remainded of the wherehouse. The man crashed into the building with huge force because Esdon put all his speed and but only about half his strength into the attack for he wanted this battle to last.

OoC: Darn hackers deleted half our RP! Just so you know, Sweet Simplicity, you're still in this even though your entry post got burned.

BiC:

Apokalypsis lay in the shattered pile of wood for a moment, planning out his next move. Finally he slowly rose up, brushing himself off. He tossed his axes into the air, spinning them. Then he smirked as he spoke.

"An angel on Earth, you say?" He stopped smirking and lowered his voice. "Well then, you give me reason to show no mercy!"

He reached for his battle axes and launched a few fireballs at the Hunter. He dodged them, but Apokalypsis leaped into action, furiously sending attack after attack, blade hitting blade. The Hunter was good, but not good enough.

As they fought, Apokalypsis moved them ever closer to the edge of the cliff. As they locked blades again, Apokalypsis was ready. He kicked the Hunter in the chest, knocking him back. He laughed a couple times, and then caused the cliff to collapse below the Hunter, sending him downward...ever closer to oblivion...

OOC I take this spot... since this seems good.... any of my charaters can hold out... I guess... (Thinks strategically) Exin would be the best choice
Bic: In the pure shadows, Exin walked, with only his fire staff for light. In the distance, he could make out a few figures attempting to fight, with one just pushing the other off a cliff. "Now that wasn'r very nice" Exin thought as he sent a flame torrent at this mysterious person. she was knocked of the cliff tumbling after the man she had just thrown off. Using his earth magic, Exin followed them of the cliff, using his magic as sort of an elevator, to avoid causing harm to himself.

The feild off the cliff was even darker, so Exin started watching arfully. Shadows are often not seen...

The two that were blasted off were lying on the ground, knocked out. Casting his magic, he pinned thir legs with ice, put chains of fire around their arms, and made a huge part of earth surrond their bodies.

OoC: Note, Bladewave, that the cliff is a very long drop, and that Esdon can fly. Also, Apokalypsis is actually male, so what's with the female pronoun (she)? Anyway, lets assume that Esdon slowed his decent by flying and that Apokalypsis slowed his decent with earth magic, so that we don't have them both dead on the ground, mkay?

BiC:

Before Apokalypsis could do anything, something had bound him with ice and fire, and covered him with earth. Probably the same person who'd knocked him off the cliff. It was not too hard for him to melt the ice and douse the fire, as he possessed the magic to control both water and fire. He then lifted the earth that surrounded him, and rolled it into a large ball.

He looked around for his new assailant, and called out to him. "Who is it now who attacks me, and once again, for what reason? What is it I have done against you?" Apokalypsis brandished his axes but didn't wait for an answer. He sent the ball of stone flying in the direction of the newcomer.

He heard it crash and break, and went over to check out the damages, hoping it had killed or at least injured his attacker...

OOC: Curse the hackers we have to start the next part again.

BIC: Esdon knew something was amiss when he was bound with elemental magic as he was falling causing him to hit the groung covered in earth fire and water which frankly was enough to make anyone loss there temper and when a paldin losses his temper the comment"run for the hills" comes to mind.
Esdon used his body to focus light magic into his skin then while he was doing this a mound of earth fired up at the man who did this to him and he knew that his opponent was just as angry as him. Then esdon added after his opponent yelled the same questions he had asked him.
"Who dares attack the angel on earth the lone paladin more commonly knowen as the hunter" Esdon then released the magic he was preparing causing a shock wave that destroyed his binds and left him lying in a crator.Esdon then clamly stood up and brushed himself down he was know in no mood for there fight to be interfared by a man who has to resort to surprise attacks. He wanted this man dead for this crime and he didn't care if he had to alline with his opponent to do so.
" HE WHO DARES TO ATTACK ME SHELL PREPARE TO BE DESTROYED" Esdon yelled for theres one thing paladins believe in and thats fare rules in combat unless vsing demons or powerful monsters that treaten the planet. These rules were broken when he was surprised.

OOC:Note theres one thing worse than my character trying to kill you and thats my character trying to kill you while he angry.

OOC: OH, soory about the mistakes, you guys, i'll do better

BIC: They knew he was here, but where they didn't know. The So called hunter was trying to find Exin, failing miserably. Smiling, he concentrated his magic into a flare storm, from behind Edson. As soon as it hit, he fell backwards and landed on a sharp rock. He immedatly turned away from Exin's hiding point and looked in the other direction...

Quickly, Exin contacted Tensai and asked for help. She would be there shortly. Until then.... Exin now focused on the one with dark enegry. it was obviios he need darkness... and Light would severly harm him... Luckliy, Exin had something to take care of both.

Staying low, he appeared in front of him, and quickly broke his spirit cuffs. "Beam of light!" Exin shouted as a dazzeling light flashed in the air. The man with darkness fell down and was now breathing heavily, Exin could tell that the man had only a few onces of life left in him. Further more, th e feild was lit up, being completly rid of darkness.

Darkness was suddenly eradicated when a fierce beam of light erupted from the interloper. The beam struck Apokalypsis hard, annihilating his dark energies. For a few long minutes all he knew was light. Although light was painful and harmful because he had a lot of darkness in him, it couldn't completely destroy him, as he was not made of darkness.

He stood up, still blinded and lacking his darkness. He raised his halberd up, and called upon his demonic powers. Suddenly the air was filled with evil, and Apokalypsis was surrounded with a net of darkness. The other two people could feel the evil leeching into their souls, beginning to bind their hearts.

"You're a powerful one, for sure..." Apokalypsis said. He reached for his battle axe, Sphazo, and called upon the power of Famine, draining some of the energy from both his opponents. Then he stood back a bit, and wrapped himself in stone, for protection while he restored his darkness...

Exin could tell how weak he was, since he was defending and healing, the weakest tatic of all. With his spirit cuff s broken, he now had access to powerful light magic. "Starburst!" Exin said, as a star suddenly fell down from the heavens, landing right on top of Apokalypsis. He fell to the ground, shreiking in pain as the bright star waws slowly taking his dark enegry. He'd be stuck under there for quite a while.

He turned his attention to the darkness, eleminating them permently seemed like the best idea, he called a gaint bird with his magic, and it spread it's feathers every, lighting the place with holy light

OOC: sorry about the latness. Oh bladewave thanks for the boost.

BIC: Esdon wasn't prepared for that attack but he knew how to stop himself from being cut on a gaint point of the crystals bellow as he flew towards the points bellow he spread his wings and changed his coruse so he flew over the top of the crystals point. As he flew over he pushed his hands against the crystal and flew upwards avoiding all damage apart from the impact of the attack. Then as esdon looked back towards the fighting he saw his foe crushed by the strange man with starfs. He appeared to be being crushed by a sun. At this esdon flew towards them as fast as he could and stop to obzerve from behind a crystal. Just then the man with starffs summoned a huge amount of light energy into a large bird. Esdon knew it was time to get his magic back. He flew at the bird of light feeling his power return to him the closer he got to it. Then he flew straght inside the bird of light and it disappeared instatly leaving esdon there glowing like he and his clothing was made of light.

OOC:My character can't be knocked around by simple spells so take a note of that.

OoC: Whoa. My post went away. That works well actually, as I'm too swamped to continue this. Sorry.

Exin glanced at the angel, he figured that the angel would try to get his enegry back... with the dark one complelty piined with life being sucked away, Exin knew just how to get rid of light boy. He summoed his bird...or, if you like, seven birds. Every bird is capable of healing and restoring abilites, and ordered them to fly straight at them.

"There is such a thing as too much power."

Esdon saw seven birds appear out of nowhere and start to fly straight at the man who had condered the first bird. Esdon knew he had to act fast and did so first in a fration of a second he had brought his hand down towards his oppoent who was being pinned by a sun and then took control of it bringing it off him and hovering it in front of him. Then he focused on all the different energyies inside it and took out all the light energy and let the rest dissappear. After this he was left with a orb of pure light which he split into eight peices and sent each of them at a target seven towards the birds and one towards the man. All this happened in about a second for esdon having his full power ment he had all of the inhuman advantages of the paladins.
"You stand know chance aganist me" esdon yelled as the seven birds were destroyed by his attacks and the last orb hit the man square in the chest sending him falling towards the cyrstal but for good measure esdon sent a few explosives orbs of light after him for good measure and then spoke to stri who had just land on his shoulder and started glowing like him.
"Lets see if he can handle that fall as well as I did" esdon said crually as stri nodded in a un-bird like manner.

Now it was time to show the true power of darkness. What the two fighting Light magicians hadn't noticed was that Apokalypsis was not underneath the bright star. When Esdon lifted the bright star off of where they'd assumed the Black Elf had been, no one noticed that he wasn't there...

In the blink of an eye the entire land was covered in a thick layer of darkness. No one could see a thing through it, even though they both tried to cast some light. Loud laughter began to echo through the darkness, sending chills down the two men's spines. Then they heard Apokalypsis' voice resonating in the blackness.

"You thought you'd seen the last of me, didn't you? You'd thought I was through. Light cannot kill me! It may not be the most pleasurable of things, and it may be potent against dark magics, but I am not composed of darkness. I am filled with Blackness, true evil and power. When I cannot use my dark magics, I am still filled with black magic and of course, courtesy of my master Apollyon, my demonic magics.

"Prepare to experience those demonic magics now."

With that the black curtain receded, and standing at the top of the cliff was Apokalypsis and his black horse. He raised his halberd and from it poured destruction. The powers of Apollyon ravaged Apokalypsis' two opponents' souls. They both fell down on the ground in pain, their light magic temporarily extinguished.

With that, Apokalypsis continued his search for the Crystal Night...

OOC: Lysis if you read the top of the second page Esdon had sent exin falling to his doom with orbs of explosive light chasing him so your post had to have happened after the fall and him being hammered by esdons spells so lets skip to that stag then.

BIC: Esdon gasped as he stagger to his feet a feeling pure terror in his heart he knew he shouldn't have saved that man he thought and then he rembered back to when he lifted the sun and swore under his breath. He wasn't there when he lifted the sun and it wouldn't have made a difference if he had left her there. Well he thought to himself at least I'm not human which means he has recovered very quickly from the attack and he would survive without any permanent harm. But the other man esdon wasn't so sure about. But as esdon is he didn't think on this much and just looked up to spot Stri circling above the battle field waiting for esdon to get up. As esdon pushed a fairly small crystal that had landed on him when he hit the ground he heard a moan for nearby and so drew his two handed blade and one of the weapons on his hips. Then he spotted a man with starfs on his back struggling to get up and decided to make his foe obay his will. Esdon approached the man and pointed one of his blades at him and spoke very clearly.

"You move and you die".
