A Shopping Excursion Like No Other (Niku)
OoC: Thar we go. Using Ixchel. ;D
BiC: Constant swifting, moving, talking flooded into Ixchel's ears. And, yet, despite the countless distractions and lack of room for thought, she hadn't felt so at home in a really long time. This, even with the noise pollution. or perhaps because of, made the young woman comfortable. Why was such a setting so fitting for her? Well, any woman in her right mind would find a mall the place closest to her heart. Oddly enough, the rainbow mage was in her right mind, making her face shine with glee upon seeing even the most trivial of trinkets. “Oh, hey look at this thing! It's so very... colorful, don't ya' think?” Her expectant green eyes looked down at the teddy bear in her arms, its wide smile not at all showing its opinion on the article of clothing she was looking at. “Oh, come on, show more enthusiasm!” She said this quite pointlessly for there was really no way for it to do so. And, what's more, she didn't even know what the 'colorful' thing was. “Pst, it looks kind of like a hat, don't you think?” “Yo no se! Porque me preguntas?” retorted the stuffed animal, defensively. “Pero... se ve como... ropa interior.” It ventured so far as to say that and quickly nuzzled its head into her shoulder, only muffled cries coming out after that. “Fine, whatever you say,” Ixchel said, letting out a slight chuckle and turning back to the clothes. Within moments she had wrinkled her nose in disgust, exclaiming, “No, this clothes is too... ugh. Why am I even shopping for clothes? I mean... I have the best set of clothes known to man on myself at this moment. Where is the kick ass stuff around this place?” Stricken with a sudden urge to get out of the clothing shoppe. she pushed past several people, most of which exchanged vicious glances with her. “Shoppers, the worst species known to man. Completely willing to leave you for dead for the sake of a sale...” She shuddered slightly and rushed Teddy and herself out. The small animal was huffing and puffing, the foul stench of new clothes still rich in its button nose. “Gracias...” it breathed out, leaping out of her hands and sprawling itself across the floor in exhaustion. “I wouldn't do that if I were you,” the girl said snidely. Her posture was all cockiness. She sneered down at the teddy bear, a confident smile on her face. “I certainly wouldn't want to get trampled.” “T-trampled?” it questioned, not knowing what that word meant. It shook it off, figuring it was nothing. “Porque no?” Its beady eyes became as questioning as they could possibly be, considering they were beads themselves. It sat up, assuming a dog like pose on the floor and cocked its face to the side, smiling eerily. Once more Ixchel laughed, “Because--” Before she could finish her warning, a group of people, most likely in their teens, came strolling by, laughing and talking amongst themselves. And, just as the colorful female had imagined, they kept walking, right over her stuffed animal, without so much as a second glance. “Eyah!” the bear cried out, its complaining drowned out by the other noises. In fact, all the accumulated noise could be enough for a life time. Especially when one takes into consideration the five floors that made up the edifice and the countless stores on each and every floor, along with the multitude of people bargaining for thousands of items within each and every shop. This was certainly the type of hustle and bustle that one did not have to deal with. But, it was obvious with the goers that they did not care. It was, after all, part of the shopping experience. “Told you,” the mage retorted. “This place shows no mercy to the inexperienced shopper! That is exactly why it is called a 'mall'. Very similar to the word 'maul'. You need to learn to get used to it, Teddy.” Careful not to disturb someone near her, she bent down, picking up the trembling bear in her arms. “It's survival of the fittest. Much like a battlefield,” she continued, half-jokingly. Obviously Teddy did not take it as such. “'Battlefield'?” it repeated, placing a paw thoughtfully on its chin. “Si! Entiendo!” With this violent thought in mind, the toy knew what it was to do next. “Good, good,” she replied, smiling and turned to walk into the next store, which looked far more promising: Stuffed Animal Emporium. “Hey, maybe you can make some friends.” Laughing a bit, she took a few steps toward it, only to bump shoulder to shoulder with some innocent bystander. “Oh, sorry 'bout that,” the woman apologized. And, here was where the bear took its chance. “Rawr!” it yelled out, leaping at the black haired man, whipping out a knife and laughing maniacally. “No tocando mi Ixchel!”

Re: A Shopping Excursion Like No Other (Niku)
Kaien calmly walked down the mall’s parking lot that was filled with cars and people walking around. He could see the city’s large mall and knew this was a good place to find great history. He had no idea what kind of history he was going to see, but it was the best place to find people. He heard music off in the distant were teenagers danced along with what sounded like hop-hop. The wild moves that the kid pulled off was stranger. Kaien watched and learned the odd-looking dance moves that the kids did. He wasn’t sure how the wild moves like those would be useful to him, but he thought they were interesting.
His odd smile made the people that walked pass him think nothing odd about him. He didn’t look odd in the groups of people and yet, he had powers they wouldn’t understand. Kaien reached the front door of the mall and as he walked up to the lager glass doors they opened. This wasn’t odd to him, but he felt the rush of cool air brush his face. It was a relief to feel cool air after walking out in the heat for so long. “So, where should I start at?” he asked quietly to himself as he saw all the people walking around. The place was so noisy that it was hard for him to even hear himself. He glanced to his left smelling something that smelt good and that’s when he remembered that he hadn’t eat. Kaien pushed his way through the pack of people trying to reach the sweet food. “Hey!” a few people yelled as he passed them, but he didn’t care. All he wanted was to reach the stand for some food. All he did was turn his head back at them and replied back, “Sorry.” After what felt like an hour of walking, but really was only three minutes of pushing his way through people Kaien reached the pizza place. ”Hey, a slice of pizza,” he ordered looking around him thinking about what should be the first place to look at. Many stores lined the walls and many of them Kaien wouldn’t want to go in. He never liked big stores so he had his eyes on the smaller ones. He looked, but found there weren’t that many small stores in this place. “Your pizza sir.” “Thanks,” he said grabbing the pizza and paid the man. Kaien strolled out into the crowd of people passing a doll shop when he dumped into a lady. He glimpsed into her past, but only could make out blood. He couldn’t make anything else out, but he stopped to think about it. While he thought about what he saw he heard something screaming at him. “Sor-,” Kaien begun to say as he turned around to see a bear in the air attacking him. He quickly turned the plate in his hand to a knife and sapped the bear and cut it down the middle. All the people around them ran, but he slowly stood up with his friendly smile as he saw the woman for the first time. She wore the most colorful set of clothes the awaken had every seen anyone walk around in. What the hell is up with this doll? he thought as he looked at her. Kaien tossed the ripped doll back at her and turned around. “Keep that thing under control next time.” |
