Re: A Meeting at the Crossroads (Cio)
OoC: I'm only posting in this because I know that I'll forget to later. Anyway, this shall be my first RP with my brand new character Ixchel. Woo. : D
BiC:
The sun shone forth, displaying a wide array of colors on the world beneath it. Among these were the ever popular red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. They filtered through the trees of a forest, illuminating the most peculiar things. There were an assortment of bugs and plants of various colors. They changed hue as the light brightened them up, darkening and becoming more vibrant with each ray that fell upon them.
One of these things was a teddy bear, commonly referred to as “Teddy”. It strode through the forest, an eerie smile apparent as the scattered beams of sun pegged it. Its fuzzy paw twitched at its side, the knife he held quivering nervously. “Yo siento como algo está cerca. Yo lo puedo pelea fácilmente.” The small toy peered up to a woman who stood just a few feet behind him. Every word he said met her ear with ease.
She replied in English for the sake of her cover, “What is it? Not threatening is it?” The female knew that he would not have said fighting would be easy unless it was absolutely true, but Teddy wasn't always known to be the best in judging other fighters.
“Es solamente una niña,” he explained walking a bit brisker, hands continuing to tremble.
Ixchel Morales could not help but raise an eyebrow at this remark, “Only a girl? And, yet you plan to fight her? Teddy, don't fight that which you don't have to. Unless...”
“Si,” was its simple reply. It let out a single word in the language known as English, seeing as his vocabulary was questionable at best, “Magic.”
That was all the human needed to hear. She quickly bent down, lifted the armed teddy bear in to her arms and began to sprint out of the remainder of the forest. Magic users were never something to ignore, especially for one so enveloped into the art of magic as she was. As the end of the thickly condensed trees became visible, the gaps between each trunk got wider and wider and a halt was in order. “Time to spy a bit, eh?” she whispered to the stuffed animal in her arms.
Peeking her head a tiny bit out, she could see what was going on. There was indeed a girl, and, with her, several men, none of a very good looking nature. Hm... I wonder what is going on. And, as though answering her question, words could be heard coming from them.
“I'm quite capable, I assure you.” She heard, the voice's tone indicating its owner to be female.
“I'm warning you, love, you'll regret it if you don't.” Came the reply. It was gruff and deep, belong to one of the men. And, in the matter of a few blinks, Rainbow found herself to be looking at a bolt of lightning. Roars came from the group of men, rowdy and loud. Seeing that more magic ensued, Ixchel could stand being in the sidelines no longer.
Those men are in the way! With a thrust of her hips and a swing of her arms she landed between the girl and the males. In her hand she held a wand, colored bright shades of the most upbeat hues. “Rayo de Arco Iris!” she called out, aiming the magical stick at the group of men. She waved, and waved again. On the second wave, a steady beam of color poured out of the wand.
And, as if following an invisible cue, Teddy rushed in, carrying a lit stick of dynamite. With a quick throw into the middle of the crowd, the bear scurried back, a maniacal laugh ringing out.
“Good job, Teddy!” Ixchel yelled in approval. Quickly, she turned back to the girl, smirking, “Thought you could use a hand.”
