The Hell-Pits of Wormwood (1-on-1)

OoC: DarkZeroHyrule took the spot. No more players.

BiC:

"Gvez vrr... Yvved." Rkall said, as he wandered atop a mass of large, noodle-like tubes. They covered the landscape- In fact, they were the landscape. This entire area was made of nothing but these symbiotic, worm-like creatures. They were covered in a wet, blood-like substance, and made a loud squishing noise whenever Rkall stepped atop one.

Every now and then, Rkall would spot a moving mass of red goo, that appeared to be a multicellular amorphous organism. Whenever it was damaged, the damaged pieces would grow back in to new blobs. Other disturbing creatures were present- Such as mobile versions of these worms.

Here and there, large, moving worms would appear from beneath the piles of flesh, and try to devour anything within its sight. Small bulges of worms would move along, as if they were a single being. However, the most unique of these organisms was the anthromorphic creatures that wandered these lands.

They appeared to be hive beasts, only semi-damged. They would appear from beneath the bloody mess of worms, and drag any living organism below. Rkall could only wonder how these hive beasts, which appeared to be workers, would end up here, outside of the hive, and living beneath a pile of symbiotic worms.

Something was afoot, and Rkall suspected that it would hinder the Hive Invasion. The Gephnell searched for an opening in these giant mounds of worms, one that might lead him to whatever is responsible for this mess. The idea of there being a traitor among the Hive didn't cross his mind, however...

After a few hours, Rkall found what he was looking for. A large cave, which led to a large collection of caverns beneath the worms. As Rkall entered, he noticed that everything remained biological. There were less worms, but the walls consisted of a meaty substance. Blood-like liquid collected in giant pools, being fed by the dripping liquid from the worms above.

The blob creatures that Rkall encountered earlier would, at times, crawl up from the blood pools, and search for anything to eat. This whole area seemed similiar to the Hive, only in an unorganized way. However, despite how messy it seemed, it had to take a highly-intelligent being, that of the Hive level, to start up something like this.

Rkall wandered along these Hell Pits, looking for whatever might of caused this mess. He noticed traces of Hive technology, here and there, finally started to make Rkall suspicious of traitors among the Hive. He would become ever more catious while exploring these Hell Pits, as the site of this mass of worms would probably attract other, curious organisms.

Re: The Hell-Pits of Wormwood (1-on-1)

OoC: I shall join using DZX.

BiC:"DZX! We're preparing for lift off!" the scientist Ciel shouted.

"Roger!" the Reploid shouted back down from the controls of the space ship.

It was the first time the Resistance Base would lift off from space and Dark Zero X was to be the first one to do so since Zero's travel to Ragnarok. Ciel had launched a few things into space to test the transporter's range. After a few items, Ciel decided to send someone into space in the range of the last item and DZX was the one to raise his hand.

"Count down started! 10!" Rogue shouted.

The Reploid looked up into the sky and wondered what was out there. Maybe he could find some answer on where Zero was in the Ragnarok debris that floated in space. Of course he was worried, but Ciel wouldn't let him burn up or something out there. The engines roared with vigor.

"Lift off!" Rouge shouted.

The ship was silver, the only color the Resistance could put on their metals for ships. After a few complicated processes, the Reploid began floating in space and took the controls away from the auto-pilot.

"How far am I going?" Dark Zero X asked.

"Pretty far. You'll be reaching the edge in a minute," Ciel responded, "Who knew our ship's engines could go so fast in space?"

Soon, he saw the debris of Ragnarok in the distance and sped towards it, ignoring the warnings of Ciel. However, he didn't see the asteroid belt going through Ragnarok and by the time he saw it, the Reploid couldn't avoided it.

"Evasive maneuvers!" DZX shouted, trying to avoid collision.

The hazards of his space-travel were far from over. His evasion was driving him towards a phenomena, a wormhole Ciel had been watching for years. Once again, the sensors and warnings and sight were too late and the ship fell into it, thusly closing the door.

The Reploid awoke on an odd landscape. He picked himself up and saw some odd liquid come off of his armor and his wings and hair, which gave him a disgusted feeling. He saw some tube things covering the ground and covered in this liquid. The Reploid looked around the area and didn't find the ship.

"Ciel!" he shouted into his transmitter.

"DZX?" she responded, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Where's the ship?" he asked.

"We tried bringing you back from the ship, but some odd reaction from the wormhole combined with the burning of the ship prevented you from coming back, but actually ricocheted you onto this planet's surface," she explained, "The ship burned up into nothing in the atmosphere."

"How soon can you get me off of this planet?" he asked.

"Getting you from that range fried the machinery here," Ciel responded, "We need time to repair it before we can get you back. We also have to map out your coordinates so we can go back if need be, so I need you to find some life out there and don't let them have anything from our planet. Not a thing!"

"Alright..." the Reploid said, shutting the connection.

With that, he ventured around this place, hearing this squish every time he stepped. Soon, he reached this cave structure that seemed to lead downwards and it dripped the earlier secretions into pools. He continued walking down, constricting his wings to try and keep them dry. Soon, the sounds of other footsteps squished through this cave.

"We're ready to take you out of there," Ciel informed him.

"Not now," the Reploid answered, "Things are about to get interesting."

He continued forward and saw a figure. It seemed metallic, but the face was that of an odd creature, but that was covered as well. On each shoulder were some tentacles and on the face were four eyes. The Reploid looked at it cautiously and readied his blade in his left arm, the shield in the right.

"I don't know if you can understand me," DZX shouted, "I'm Dark Zero X. Nice to meet you. What's your business on this planet?"

Re: The Hell-Pits of Wormwood (1-on-1)

Rkall armed himself. All of his guns and weaponry were about ready to fire. One of his eyes produced an odd glint.

"Partially mechanical being. Intelligent." Rkall muttered.

DZX backed up, a few steps, at the site of Rkall's weaponry. "Why are you targeting me?" he asked.

"You may either assist us in the Hive Invasion by helping me collect information on this location, or you can be disposed of. Choose." Rkall said, in an emotionless voice.

DZX was about ready to respond, but the ground started to shake, and a mess of rocks, worms, and debris started to fall from the cieling, interrupting him.

"Gze vqkse raf gii! Osgov gze mascqe!" a loud, booming voice exclaimed, over a speaker.

Rkall looked around, frantically, and started muttering. "Vggill... Fver bos fi rte csque?" he asked. The alien suddenly pointed at DZX. "Help me destroy the traitor, or we will fight.

OoC: Sorry for the short post. Don't have much time, heheh.

Re: The Hell-Pits of Wormwood (1-on-1)

The Reploid looked at the alien as it armed itself. Guess they're not very peaceful. However, the weapons he had would overwhelm the Reploid quickly.

"Why are you targeting me?" DZX asked, still hoping the alien understood.

He stepped back in fear that this creature would attack.

"You may either assist us in the Hive Invasion by helping me collect information on this location, or you can be disposed of. Choose." the alien shouted.

He can understand me?, the Reploid thought, Wait! Hive Invasion? like I'd let someone invade a planet!

Before the Reploid could answer, rocks and worms started falling around them. The ground shook. Is this place going to collapse? Soon, he heard something shout, but in some language foreign to the Reploid. Next thing he knew, the alien pointed at him.

"Help me destroy the traitor, or we will fight."

Another choice? The Reploid knew he was caught in a triad. He could leave and let him and this traitor fight it out amongst themselves. He could fight this being in front of him, knowing he would probably defeat an evil, or he could help him defeat this 'traitor', knowing he would help an evil. His choices weren't very good. He readied his blade and charged at the alien, but stopped halfway.

"As much as I hate helping this Hive Invasion," he said, "I'll help you. This isn't over though! I'll stop your invasion someday, but today may not be that day."

This is too much like Weil's want to rule the world. he thought, as he waited for further instruction from this being. However, wait would soon be out of the question as a portion of a wall collapsed, revealing a small passage to enter through.

"After you, whoever and whatever you are," the Reploid insisted.

Re: The Hell-Pits of Wormwood (1-on-1)

Another loud shout could be heard above.

"Wormwood... New Hive?..." Rkall asked himself.

Rkall walked forward, with DZX following, close behind. Afer a few minutes of walking, the two saw a flickering light, straight ahead of them.

As they proceeded in to the flickering light, they found themselves inside a larger room, filled with robots and weaponry. A few Vsken could be seen, operating on the robotics below. Rkall listened in on their alien conversation, with DZX waiting for him to speak.

"This place may not seem like it, but it is very much like the Hive... In fact, one of my fellow Gephnellr is here, operating it. He plans to spead these worm-like beings across the planet, through massive earthquakes, infecting it, and turning it in to a Hive of his own. After the extermination is over, he will wage war on the Hive... And begin galactic conquest." Rkall said, quietly.

One of the Vsken suddenly looked up. "He must of read our thoughts." Rkall said. "DZX, prepare for combat." DZX followed Rkall, as he jumped to the ground.

These weren't any ordinary Vsken, however. Ingrained in their bodies was mechanical weaponry, unnatural to other Vsken. Rkall started firing at one of the Vsken, destroying it, easily. The other two Vsken jumped on top of the tables, with long, metal, spider-like legs, and started firing, with two large machine guns, one on each arm.

The loud, alien voice could be heard, once again. The traitor had caught on to this, and started to yell loudly, as if calling all of the other mechanically enhanced Hive beasts to fight. It was only a matter of time before this facility would descend in to chaos, as legions of these squid-faced cyborgs started to stir...
