Project Solaris (anyone)

"Look at this Elise..... This tiny flame is our Sun God, Solaris..... We're currently doing an experiment on him to try to control time. With his power, we will go back in time and be able to correct the past sins of man!"

"We'll be able to see mommy again, right?"

"Yes we will, Elise. Yes we will....."

Passing yet another town, Shrukan was deeper into his quest. A bit closer to finding out more on his powers.

"I bid 50 silver!" shouted a women.

"I bid one gold piece!" said a man.

"I bid two!" shouted another.

"Two gold peices! That's a lot of money! Does anyone have more than that for this lovely scepter?"

Shrukan took a glance and decided to buy it. "3 gold peices." Shrukan said.

"3 GOLD PEICES?! THAT A LOT! ANY MORE?!" The people stared and just walked away. "CONGRATULATIONS! Here's your lovely scepter."

"Thanks..." Shrukan took and placed it in the bag on his back.

Deciding to go to an Inn for the night, Shrukan thought what this scepter could do. All scepters have a special powers, but what was this ones?

Suddenly, someone jerked Shrukan into the darkness.

OoC: No one post about what happens to the Scepter, I'm the only one who can right now.

Someone has to drag Shrukan into the shadows.

OoC: Ok, I am ready to battle. I am using Xantez.

BiC: Xantez became tired and hungry, as he usually is every evening when on the road. Having no money or food, he tried to find a good place he can stay. Good thinking, Xantez, he told himself. I dare you to find a place to stay at for free, although you should know that there is no such thing as a free inn!

But just then something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. In the window, on the building to his left, was a figure of a man, who had golden dragon wings and a golden dragon tail swinging around behind him. Wow, you really don't see that everyday. But the golden wings and the golden tail was not what caught Xantez's attention, but more of what the being held in his hands. A scepter, about the length of his arm, was being held by the winged, tail-possessing man in the window. Xantez couldn't make out what it looked like, but he noticed that it shimmered when the light in the room shone onto it. It looks to be priceless, Xantez told himself. I never tried this in my life, but for the sake of me being poorless, I will do it.

Xantez then walked into the inn, and avoided the person who stood at the desk. The man seemed to not have noticed Xantez walking into the inn, so he took his chances. Darting up the stairs, he wondered which room was the one that he saw the winged man. Ok, the room was left of the entrance, so I should head... this way. Going into the direction he pointed to, Xantez ran, but ran silently as possible. Once he was at the door, Xantez noticed that the door to the room was open. He slowly opened the door, but heard a voice cry out,

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Xantez had a disturbed look on his face. "Get out of the room!"

He saw a figure coming to the door from the inside of the room. Damn, I got caught. Looking for a place to hide from the man, Xantez noticed a large flower pot nearby, good enough to be used for hiding. He jumped from where he stood, and rolled toward the large flower pot. When he hid, he saw the winged man stand outside, but it was no man. The person who had the wings and the tail was none other than a boy, possibly at the age of 15 at least. This must be my lucky day, Xantez thought. One priceless scepter, and a young, small-minded kid to go with it. Maybe God likes me afterall.

Seeing that no one was in the halls, the boy went back into his room. He slowly closed the door behind him, which was when Xantez threw something into the doorway to stop the door from closing. Fortunately the door did not close, and Xantez was well on his way to get the scepter.

Walking into the room, he slowly opened the door to make sure he did not get caught again. Luckily, the dragon-boy was in the other room. Good, now is my chance. Xantez saw the scepter on the table in the middle of the table. He had his hand placed on the scepter, and was about to take it, but suddenly heard footsteps in the room. Damn, he's coming. Looking for another place to hide, there was no other choice but the corner of the room. He stood in the shadows, trying to avoid being caught by the boy.

Damn, how will I get out of this? Xantez thought of what to do. Then something came to mind. Do I have to do that sort of crap right now? Well, if I don't wanna starve...

Xantez grabbed the dragon-boy by the collar of his shirt into the shadow, and looked him in the eye.

"Hey, how you doin'?" Xantez said with a smile. "Do you mind me taking that scepter?"

EDIT: OoC: Damn, this whole post was for nothing. I thought you said your character was in an inn already. Damn, sorry about that TL.

OoC: Its ok. I liked it anyways.

"No. Its mine and give it back!" Shrukan reached for it but Xantez pulled it away. "I said give it back damn it!"

Shrukan jumped on to Xantez, causing them both to fall on the ground. Shrukan tried to get the scepter out of Xantez's hands, only to get sucker-punched in the face. He fell off, blood dripping out of his nose.

Xantex then rushed out the door, but Shrukan dashed after him.

"Theif!" Shrukan called out. "Get back here!"

Both of them were outside, ducking and dodging between the crowds of people. Shrukan slammed into a few people but continued following the theif.

Then Xander took a wrong turn and ran into a dead end. He cursed a few times and turned around, only to see the anger of Shrukans face.

"Give it back now...." Shrukan said.

Xander stepped back and then dashed to the right of Shrukan. But before he got passed him, Shrukan grabbed him and both of them hit the ground.

Then there was the sound of broken glass. The scepter they fought over had broken into peices.

Shrukan cursed and punched Xander in the right side of his face. "Nice job! I payed 3 gold for that!"

The scepter then glowed an eerie purple. Shrukan and Xander looked at that, then Shrukans Shadow. The shadow extended and began to form into something solid. It looked like Shrukan, but it was crystallized.

"What the...."

"Hahahahaa...... Oh how ironic fate can be.... To be reformed by your shade." it said, "I thank you, Shrukan Caelestis."

"How do you know my name?! And who are you?"

The figure, head still down, walked ever closer to Shrukan.... "Don't tell me you've forgotten me........ ......Mephiles.....Mephiles the Dark is my name...." The figure raised its head and glared at Shrukan and Xander with its green velociraptor looking eyes.

"What you gave to me..... I now return to you..... A ONE WAY TICKET TO OBLIVION!" Shooting a purple orb at Shrukan and Xander, Mephiles was one step closer to his plan.

OoC: Mephiles has shot us into the future.

OoC (directed at people who just joined): You are not affected by the Time warp, but occiasionally Mephiles will send you to the past or future, depending on how I choose.

OoC (in general): Mephiles is a NPC that will only be in this thread, and used only by me.

OoC: So sorry for the wait, but school is a bit of a nuisance at the moment. By the way, my character's name is Xantez, not Xander.

BiC: What is this? I hate it when I get into some sort of portal-thing. It drives me nuts! Xantez, flying through the purplish tunnel, going through time, wondered about this, while he kept his body from spinning around as it would usually do. Hey, it happened in the movies, so why not here?

"Hey, you," Xantez heard from afar. It was the dragon boy from before, who he stole the scepter from. Great, another moment of his complaints towards me about stealing this scepter of his.

"Since we're both stuck in this wormhole, why not work together to get ourselves out of this mess?" Xantez became shocked as he heard this. Join with him? Hell no!

"Sorry, but I have to decline." Xantez grinned sarcastically. "I have no need of your help. Besides, you attacked me, so that makes you my nemy. Secondly, and finally, I have ben in bigger problems than this. No doubt that I can get myself out of this myself."

"Damn you, thief!" the blue-haired man heard the boy shout out in anger towards him. "First you steal this scepter from me, which I bought from, and now because you broke the scepter, we are in this mess!"

"What do you mean 'I' broke the scepter?!" Xantez became angered by what was said. How the hell did I break it? It was his fault for jumping onto me to retrieve it from my hand. Nowhere close to my fault.

"Let's not blame anyone here, but nonetheless, we are enemies. And as enemies, we will fight untill a victor is chosen by fate."

"Good enough for me," Xantez replied, a smile across his face bloomed. After this fight of ours, I can be on my way. Thank God.

As their conversation ended, the wormhole ended, and both were shot into a historical event, or a future event.
