When Sun and Moon Meet...

ooc: Pardon my absence. My Mom basically murdered my net time -_-'

This is a continuation of a battle previously started by Lady Elvenarcher.

bic: Thrusting her sword into the ground, Lani levered her weight against it to stand. Without the use of her left arm mere swordplay would prove more difficult. Her shifting eyes were the only sign of awareness, she was calm, and her body still.

A blitz of energy caught her attention, the air above Lani was cut by Alys' stave, she nearly impaled her head. Slashing upward to catch the elven angel, Lani cut only a fading image of Alys as she disappeared once again. It was clear that sight would not be of much use, if she could not see the angel then there was no use in searching with her eyes. Lani's lashes met, her eyes were closed and her mind in a paraless void. In that void there were two strong energy sources, one stationary and the other on a constant move.

Lani fixed the remaining four of her senses onto tracking the second source. Her search proved successful, she had a solid lock on her target. In a sudden advance towards the second source she lashed her sword out in a thrusting position through what seemed to be a joint of the source. Lani opened her eyes again to the desolant field, she found Alys grasping her right arm. Her elbow had been utterly destroyed, Lani's falchion broke through flesh and bone, leaving her cartilage in ruins.

Alys let her right arm fall uselessly to her side. She fixed Lani with a cool gaze. Without saying a word, she launched her whole body at Lani, Lunar Crescent Stave flashing. Lani thew up her falchion to ward off the blow, but she wasn't fast enough. The stave struck her left arm and shattered her ulna (ooc: Uh, one of those arm bones. I forgot where it is...). Lani's left arm dropped heavily to her side, and Alys faced her and smiled. "Now, we are even once again."

Lani thrust a few strands of her hair out of her eyes and and used her energist to heal herself. He smirk turned to disbelief as Alys channeled Light, Wind, and Water to weave a healing spell to heal her own damaged arm. Lani growled slightly and shifted her weight forward for an attack. Alys sensed the changed in Lani's weight distribution and was able to catch Lani's full-body charge on her stave. Alys smiled briefly at Lani before she threw her back against the ground.

Before Lani could regain her footing, Alys channeled a stream of Fire and lightning through her stave and formed an orb of Fire encircled by lightning. She launched it with incredible speed at Lani who wasn't fast enough to block the attack. She screamed as the Fire burned her flesh and the lightning electrocuted her whoe body. Alys stood by and watched the smoke rise from Lani's prostrate form, ready for Lani's next attack.

Lani propped her resonating body onto her hands, the surge of the electricity made her twinge every time it rounded its course. She shook her head viciously and let her amethyst hair fall about her shoulders once again, after standing on end from so much static.

A slender figure snaked its way up the vibrating falchion and spread itself about the blade. Lani's lips rounded in a slight smile as sudden burst of lightning protrude from the soul bearing blade. She sliced the air at such a velocity that the lightning lashed forward from the blade and entertwined with itself, creating a sort of lightning whip. Alys instinctively leapt out of its path, a sharp trench embedded in the ground as a testimate to its power.

Lani retracted the whip and closed her eyes in deep concentration. The crackling whip hovered just off the ground, swaying hypnotically and gaining some familiar features, mostly associated with dragons, as it morphed and grew larger by the second. Alys' pupils reduced to only small grains at the prodigious size of the dragon, though it was purely energist it was still mighty in all its entirety. How fitting that one of the yellow gemed falchion's stronger spirits was that of thunder.

Jerking the thunderous dragon back, Lani readied herself for the likely recoil of her next attack. She lashed it forward once more, it was hard to tell when she actually executed the attack because of the sheer speed and force she placed upon the blade. The energist dragon connected with Alys before she could even scream. She jolted, and her body spasmed by the high voltage dragon. Lani braced herself, she knew it was coming, the recoil.

All the lightning was sure to produce some booming thunder, which it did. Bass drums beat at decibels inaudible to human ears, but well heard to Elven ears and those with higher senses. The monstrous mass of dragon shaped energist arced its long neck to the sky as if the thunder was its almighty roar and fell limp to the ground, dissipating back into tiny energist and scattering in the wind. Lani held her head. That sound... it had her utterly shaken inside, and that was not her first time hearing it. She could only imagine how the Elven angel felt.

ooc: A long one, I know. Well, not really. I had plenty of time to think about it though, being grounded and all...

Alys covered her ears against the pounding sound of the roaring thunder. When she finally brought her hands away, blood coated them, but Alys wove together a healing spell of Water, Wind, and Light to stop the blood flow and heal her wounds delivered by Lani's electric Dragon.

When she was done, she faced Lani, weight slightly forward and ready to attack. Lani dropped into a defensive position just as Alys charged toward her. With Lani's weight all out in front, Alys easily feinted to the left in order to put Lani off balance and then swung her Lunar Crescent Staff around in arc over Lani's head to bring it smashing into the right side of her neck. Bones snapped, and Alys crescent kicked Lani on the left side of her neck, wreaking even more havoc with Lani's internal neck structures.

Channeling the element of Wind, Alys wrapped the flows around Lani's staggering form, picked her up, and slammed her repeatedly into the ground. With one final blow, Alys let Lani collapse to the ground.

OOC: Yay! You're back!!! *throws confetti* I know that was kind of short, but, hey, at least it was something.

The silence of the field as the dust settled was suddenly broken by Lani's laughter. Alys stared at her strangely, but more so at the A small threads of light that seemed to spring from her back. Soon enough there were hundreds of these, and all kneeled down from there high reaches and wrapped around Lani, her body glowing with their brilliant light. The rays slowly dimmed but their white purity stayed constant. Feathers of two angelic wings clasped around her body. Lani's laughter was muffled through the wings but Alys could tell they were not of the mocking sort. She extended the feathery masses that sprout from her back and flapped them with the strength of a great eagle, generating a rather gusty wall of wind. All whilst rolling her neck, showing the lights convalesce.

Alys countered the gale by channeling wind through her stave and the conflicting directions canceled each other out. Like a moth, Lani's wings began to emit a powdery white energist. This energist loomed in the air like pollen. Very small, and easy to inhale. Suddenly, Alys grasped her neck, her eyes widen. She began to cough hackingly to clear her throat of the now burning energist that ravaged the walls of her esophagus.
