Let the Lasers Hit Where They May (Free for All)

OoC: Okay, so this is one of those battles where any amount of people can join and they can join at any point. The event is a game of laser tag. Though, in this game, only warriors are allowed to play. They leave their weapons and armor at the entrance, take up their vest and “gun” and enter the combat area. It takes place in a huge arena, which is poorly lit and full of obstacles. The rest will be explained in the IC part of my post. I'll be using Kevin. :3

BiC:

Murmuring and nervous chuckles entered Kevin's ears as he, among others, was filed into a large room. How he'd gotten himself into such a situation, he'd probably never know, and, due to his many phobias, would probably not want to know. Yet, that didn't change the fact that he was indeed here. Here in a large meeting hall of sorts. Here where warriors of all ages and sizes gathered ready to do combat.

Not in the normal sense though. All of their weapons and armor was put away and in their place was a technology some of them had never seen before. They wore different colored vests with a gun type weapon attached to the front by means of a cable. The entire set up was black, all the better to camouflage in their soon-to-be battle field. These guns could do no real physical damage, as they merely shot red lasers.

Gah, these people look so scary, even with fake weapons... thought the vampire, trembling a little.

And out boomed the voice of a man upon a podium. “Welcome to the ultimate game. Laser tag may not provide the same satisfaction as the usual battle, but with warriors lining these walls, it's sure to make it much more interesting. The name of the game is shoot, shoot, shoot. That's all there is to it. You might notice that there are different colors to the vests. We've randomly divided you all into four teams. There is the blue team, the red team, the yellow team, and the green team.”

Kevin looked down, nervously. His color was blue. Seeing the warriors around him, it felt like he was in a sea of colors that were all but his. This is going to be difficult...

The man continued, “You will be let loose into an arena the size of which you've most likely never seen. There are traps, tricks, and enemies behind every corner. The lights are low and fog is abundant. You'll have unlimited lives and ammo. There is a set time limit, but we won't bother to tell you, it just kills the fun.”

He spoke clearly, yet with such a monotony, several of the warriors grew impatient. One of them called out, “Yeah, yeah. Just get to the part where you let us loose already!”

With a sigh, the man nodded, “Very well.”

A wall began to rise, and before they were even dismissed, the eager fighters pushed and shoved to get into the arena. Grunts and boasting could be heard, as was some strategizing among people from the same team.

The angel was among one of the unfortunate souls that had been tossed in there forcefully. And, as the battle field opened up before him, he could do nothing but stand there in awe, being continually pushed by the crowd.

OoC: So, any one who wants to join, I encourage you. Though, you can join whenever. ^^

OoC: w00t! A new battle on the horizon!

BiC: The man walked calmly into the large room, people walking to and fro and running back and forth, all of them blurting about lasers and guns and a battle as they strolled by. It peaked his curiosity and he headed to said place. Cirus looked down and his modified blasters and smirked. With his new weapons, this battle would be a cinch, hands down.

He saw people of a thousand varieties all lined up in front of this heavy iron door, each carrying some sort of glowing key card from a basket. Cirus scooped one up and stood in line. He saw demons, tall and gruesome. Children, happy and innocent. Many people, some glaring at each other, as if they were thinking of how to strike.

Cirus advanced further in the line and flashed his key card to the door, it opened allowing him to pass into another room, filled with these black colored vests, each strapped to a gun. Cirus went to go grab a pack when two hands grabbed him from behind.

"Excuse me sir, are you planning to play?" asked a rather rude man.

"Yeah, why not?" he replied.

"Then I'm afraid I'll have to take these and put them into the keep until the game is over," he said pointing at Cirus's guns and backpack.

"What?!" Cirus exclaimed, causing a scene. He'd rather die than willingly give up his custom made armor and blasters and his favorite rifle.

"Sorry, if you want to play, hand them over and don't worry you will get them back when the game is over or you are eliminated," the man explained.

"This better be worth my time or else," Cirus said, aiming a pistol at the man before putting it in the box the man was carrying with a number 126 on it.

"Is that all?"

Cirus shrugged and put another pistol inside. Then a dozen grenades. Then his backpack and helmet, his fold out charged sword, and reluctantly his rifle and attachments.

"Wow... uh... go ahead and grabbed a pack then."

OoC: Yeayeah. a laser tag match. Since the arena is nothing but dark and foggy, I will undoubtedly choose Kinar. Watch out, everyone XD.

BiC: Such a stupid game, where no blood is shed. Kinar was wondering how he got here in the first place. First, he was resting inside the warehouse, where he stayed in refuge. Then, after he fell asleep, it was only in a matter of seconds where he found himself here, in this large, empty space. Is this a dream? Kinar wondered the possibility that came to mind. But, my race never dreams such dreams of no blood shed, but of stupid games with devices that shoot red lasers, only as strong as a simple flashlight. Whatever this sort of game might be, I will have to deal with this.

Kinar noticed tht his colour was red. Well, at least this is something worth my taste, he told himself with an evil-looking grin. He walked in line, with his other team mates who appeared weak to the blind demon. Wearing the vest, and holding the gun that is attached to the vest with a cable, he walked with a calm pace, holding the keycard he picked up from the basket earlier with a tight grip. Kinar showed the keycard infront of a scanner, and walked forward. When he got to the second doorway, which lead into the arena, a man stopped him from entering.

"I am sorry, sir, but you must leave your weapons here." the man explained apologetically. If you do nt cooperate, then you will be eliminated withoiut a second thought."

Without a second thought? That's even better. Kinar held onto the vest, ready to tear it apart and leave, but something stopped him from doing so. But... maybe a game isn't so bad, as long at it involves with killing people, without killing them. The thought that came to his head made him smile wickedly, as he took his hands from the vest he wore. He brought his hands straight to the man's neck, letting the blades shoot out from his braces. The man was frightened by the sight of the weapons appearing too quick for him to react, but it was not Kinar's intention to kill him. The demon showed his smile under his scarf, and took off the armour and braces, along with his blade strapped to his wrist. He felt lighter a tiny bit, but better than nothing if he wants to quickly strike his opponent down.

This will be one fun game, he thought to himself. As he entered into the arena, he saw all the obstacles in the dark, knowing where everything is, all the possible hiding spots, cover fire spots, every single thing. The dark was his ally, and so was the thick fog that lingered in the large battleground. Well, I should get to work. With that in mind, he stepped into the shadows, and disappeared from sight of the other contestants.

OoC: My turn. Character in sig if you want to look at him.

BiC: Lazer tag huh? This should be fun. Shrukan gave his blades and dagger to guards and was handed a lazer gun. Small and light, he wasn't too sure how to handle it right. Darn it. I'm too used to my swords. *sigh*

Shrukan stepped into the arena and took a look around. There were a few men standing around in diffeent colored vests. One happened to be yellow, so he was on Shrukan's side. Another was red, and a blue and green one were a bit passed him.

The darkness isn't bad, but this fog is the real trouble. Shrukan noticed a wall he could hide behind and quickly snuck behind it. It seemed the only close one was the one in blue.

"no just my swords thats all ", Angel unstrapped her swords and gave it to the man. " and then was handed a lightwieght gun that she had neve seen before " man what kind of weapon is this? " she said to her self. she was handed a vest that had a color and it was blue. " Im guessing we will be in teams " she thought to herself.

She heard a voice that was explaining the rules and how the game was going to be. she heard a man shouting at him to get to the point and let them in so thay can begin the game. OoC: You pick anyone you want to be with.

BiC: Shrukan noticed another Blue person go near the one he saw. Great.... where's my team. Aw well... He aimed at the girl a shot her in the shoulder. It didn't hurt but Shrukan got one point. This is too easy..... he said as he ducked behind the wall.

OoC: ML, that's not true... X3

The vests are four different colors. There are technically teams, but people don't have to get into them.

OoC: Yesh but in laser tag you have coloured lights on your shoulders, chest, back and gun which is what you aim for to get points.

BiC:

Joker stepped into the room lined with the vaarious colour vests and grinned. He was looking forward to the match before him, a test of skill, stealth, trickery and evasion. A chance to surprise enemies, confuse players and in the end enjoy every minute of befuddlement in his wake.

"Excuse me sir, I will need to collect you weapons and armour if you intend to join the match," the officious voice belonged to an officious looking man, the type Joker never got along with.

"Ah, Joker has no armour. Take these~!" Joker threw his daggers casually at the man who squeaked and ducked, the daggers embedded in the wall behind him.

"Sir, I real-" his voice was cut off as Joker skipped to a vest and strapped it on confidently. It was a red vest.

"Joker knows the rules~!" with that he strode into the labriynth that was the arena.

Turning a corner he was confronted with a group of people, a mingling of colours who were standing around as if unsure of what to do. Shrugging, Joker bypassed them and worked his way deeper in the maze, crawling on the floor as he peeked around corners or leaping from various platforms to try and get a high vantage point that would allow him the best manouverablilty.

He only wished he'd had a chance to wear black... his ice blue shirt stood out against the darkness.

OoC: woopz, i was writing my post and didn't realise Cio had responded to that already XD

OoC: Wow, we're getting a lot of competitors. I will post my part soon after Masked Legend does, so don't be taking my spot in the line, mkay?

BiC: Shrukan looked directly to his right and noticed a red beam touched him.

Crap. I got hit..

Apparantly it was someone in Red...

OoC: Oh, I got confused... I thought it was a free for all, literally. Sorry, my bad. I'll post when I have time later.

OoC: And, I post! Even though it's so short it makes me sad... <<;;

BiC:

Kevin turned just in time to see a girl introduce herself and in the same instance be shot by a red laser, he shrieked, obviously scared by this little light display, “Woah! What was that!?”

The girl looked down at her vest to see it shut down, “Um... I got hit.”

Despite the plainness of her words, the vampire jumped, “Hit!?”As if on instinct, he ducked, hoping to avoid any stray lasers. “You should get down, miss.”

He looked up at her just as her vest jumped back to life, “I guess it only lasts for a few seconds.” She said, cheerfully.

“Erm... that's a few seconds too long if you ask me,” he said nervously. “I really don't know how I got myself into this mess...”

“Don't worry, it's just a game,” the girl named Angel said. Her tone was sweet and sincere. “Just... do your best!”

“S... so... I just press this button and a red beam goes out?” he asked, trying it at a far away red light and seeing it go out. His eyes widened and he quickly exclaimed, “Sorry!”

The girl next to him chuckled a bit, “Wow, not everyone apologizes once they've shot their opponent.”

“Well... I... I'm not like everyone,” he stuttered, “I'm afraid of pretty much everything...”

He coughed over and over again when the fog swelled around him. Cirus stepped into the arena, with a blue vest donned, his laser gun at its holster. Cirus hated the thought of exchanging his favorite and deadly custom guns for some flashlight toy. He sighed as he felt naked and unprotected walking into battle without his suit either.

"What modifications can I make to this little thing?" Cirus asked himself, gazing at the technology.

He sighed again, it looked rather simple and primitive, not much to do without his pack. He left it in his holster and walked further into the arena, beams of red light blazing in all directions. With his military training, this would be just like practice.

"Ok, first move of strategy," he said to himself. "Familiarize yourself with your surroundings and find a vantage point to keep enemies at bay and use as cover."

Cirus sprinted around the arena, it was larger than he expected. Suddenly, a beam hit his shoulder pad, and his vest started vibrating. He panicked for a moment and immediately took the vest off, thinking it would self destruct. After a few seconds, it stopped. Cirus sighed in relief and put it back on to resume his trek.

After a minute, he was a maze like area in the arena. Cirus stood behind one of the walls. He could see through a hole near the top of the wall. He was only vulnerable from the north and west direction, but from a north angle, it'd be impossible to strike one of his pads.

"Perfect situation, time to start," he said.

Cirus flung the pistol out of its holster and twirled it around one finger before holding it steady. There he waited until someone strolled by. Cirus remembered his vigilant training of missing a crucial shot was missing a chance to win. He pulled the trigger, and the person's pack shook like crazy. Cirus hid back into the corner and continued his strategy, keeping an eye on his blind spot.

"Piece of cake..."

OoC: I am going after you, MaskedLegend. Watch out.

BiC: Kinar, despising this sort of game, was rather enjoying himself. Even if this game is with something that does not pierce the body, and bring forth blood from the victims, he was amused. This is just like training when I still was a child. He slowly walked forward, simply passing the lights that shot by, since they were not being fired at him at that moment. Kinar pulled out the blaster from where it was nestled in, and shot forward, hitting two other competitors. The demon formed a wicked smile across his face, as he placed his blaster back into its holstler. No one can hit me in my domain. It is simply...

A light shot through the darkness, and hit Kinar in the back. What!? Kinar was surprised he was shot. This cannot be! Not in my domain! He looked back, and heard the trigger being let go from the person's finger. That is him, Kinar thought. He may have shot me, but I will do much more than a simple shot.

The demon leaped in the air, silently approaching his prey. The brown-haired man was situated behind a wall, attempting to hide from the demon. So, he thinks he is good at firing a gun? Let's see how well he is at noticing my presence. With that, Kinar landed in the dark corner in that same hall that his prey was at. He took out his blaster from the holstler that it sat in, and pointed it at the man that was infront of him. One thing you will regret doing, Kinar said in his mind, which was addressed to his prey. He shot forward, hitting the sensor on the shoulder, with a fast punch to the face after the shot had fired. The man fell to the ground, spitting a bit of blood from his mouth. Kinar growled quietly, but loud enough to be heard by his prey. Looks like there is a bit of bloodshed, afterall.

"Damn, what was that for!?" the man asked in shock and anger. "This isn't supposed to be with contact, last time I checked."

The demon noticed that the man he knocked down was going to point his weapon at him, so he quickly left the scene, avoiding to be fired at.

"Who are you!" the demon heard the man call out. "Where ever you may go in this arena, I will find you. Do not underestimate me!"

I will do what I please, Kinar thought as he smirked. He knew very well that the same thing will not happen again. He was pretty sure he was getting ahead of himself before that certain incident happened, so he made sure he would not be overconfident of himself. That is one thing I must avoid, is overconfidence. He stopped suddenly, as he had that statement go through his mind. A laugh bursted out from the demon, as he knew where he got that from. You damn old man. I hate it when your pitiful advice is in my head.

OoC: Sorry he punched your character, ML, but my character is just not a nice guy. He has to at least make someone bled a bit to be satisfied.
