The Crystal Caverns

OoC: This is a 1 Vs 1 battle between me, and the first person to join. You can’t reserve your place here, you have to post. I will be using Vulgan, link in sig.

BiC: Vulgan studied his surroundings, the crystal reflected the light remarkably, there was only one spot where light came through, it was a tiny chip in the crystal, but the light had deflected and dazzled the room.

The cavern Vulgan was in was enormous, about 200m in width and depth, but about 500m in height! This was just one of many caverns but it was one of the largest.

Vulgan had originally gone in the caverns to find a beast of some sort that he could kill for food, but what made him stay was the unnatural beauty of the crystallised rock that formed the Crystal Caverns.
He was in the opening cavern, and already he was stunned, we pondered what could be ahead.
He thought if anyone else knew about this place, then it would be known throughout the lands. The land he was in seemed quite deserted, as did the caverns, he wondered if there was anyone, or anything, about.

As Vulgan stepped into yet another cavern, this time slightly darker, he noticed something that was visible in the lighter caverns. Footprints. But there were none leading back, so something must be ahead. As this thought entered his mind he turned into another cavern and found that which had made the footprints.

OoC: Sorry, really short but it was late when I wrote it.

A buzz tittered throughout the room when the sliding metal door jarred open. The white lights flickered on and electricity hummed to life as two men walked into the room. One walked ahead to the other side of the room while the other closed and locked the door.

"So, you've been building it in here?" Cirus asked.

"Yes, but it is a classified invention and I need your help fine tuning it before I show it to the public," the scientist, Lucas, said.

Lucas beckoned Cirus over to the other side of the room and the two gazed at the figure hidden under a white cloth. Lucas grabbed the sheet and yanked it off, revealing a giant cylindrical machine. It had a computer interface with a keypad which glowed blue in the light.

"What... exactly is it again?" Cirus.

"A teleportation machine!" Lucas explained.

"A teleportation machine?" Cirus asked. "are you crazy?"

"On the contrary, it have all the component's but I need someone experience to install them and then test it," Lucas said.

"Some I'm your guinea pig?" Cirus asked.

"No, listen, I'll give you some new armor or weapons if you do," Lucas bribed.

"Ok fine!" Cirus said. "gimme some time and the components and I'll have it up and running."

After an hour, and integrating everything, the panels and machine roared to life. But something went wrong. A malfunction fizzed in the machine and a circuit overloaded. The terminal on the panel went berserk and the buttons turned on to off frequently. The beacons inside the cylinder portal activated and a blue vortex spun. It started to pull everything inside it will a gale force. A tingling sensation numbed his foot. Cirus looked back and saw his foot was submerged in the vortex. His hands lost friction and he was sucked inside, surrounded by a blinding blue light.

On the other side, Lucas ran to the machine and tried to undo the action, but the machine overloaded and finally combusted, sparks flying everywhere. The last thing Cirus heard was the call of his name before passing out under the swirling pressure.

An echo woke Cirus up, when he opened his eyes, he was in a pitch black void. He rubbed his sore head and got to his feet.

"Activate!" Cirus said, his backpack hummed to life and his armor soon covered his body. His helmet visor turned on it's night vision and he was in a dark, dank cave. Crystals glowed off a his armor as he wondered deeper inside the cavern.

Vulgan crouched low behind a stalagmite, watching the shaodw carefuuly. He seem extremely scruffy, if it weren't for his sword Vulgan would have doubted his fighting skills. But his sword showed that he must have some skill or experience. His blade seem to glow in... Energy.
He looked as though he had only just entered the caverns, he look surprsied and confused. Vulgan took this oppurtunity to strike, when he least expected it.

Vulgan lept from his hiding place, the person swung round and drew his extraordinary sword. As Vulgans blades met his sword, the person spoke surprsingly carmly and asked Vulgan, "Who are you?"
Vulgan spoke quitely but firmly, "Vulgan".
The stranger replied casually, "Ok, I'm Ciris!"
Then without any implication, battle commenced.

Vulgan whipped his blades at Ciris, who was struggling to defend against Vulgans speed and quick thinking. all of a sudden, Ronan slashed a tiny bit of skin on Ciris's arm. It burnt the skin, but the reall effect was on Ciris himself. He fell backwards, a look of utter fear on his face. The heat had confused and frightened him, his weakness was exposed. Vulgan whispered to himself, "He doesn't understand magic."

After that, the fight was fast and furious, Ciris was extremely cautious, he didn't understand what had happened, but he knew that something had.
Ciris flew up about 10 ft in the air, shooting at Vulgan relentlessly. Vulgans managed to roll out of the way and hide behind a series of crystalized rocks. His image was magnified to Ciris so he couldn't determine where Vulgan actually was.
He let himself fall to the floor, and crept behind the rocks in pursuit of Vulgan. But Vulgan decided to take advantage of his enemies ignorance of magic.
Vulgan stabbed Ronan deep intot the heart of one of the crystals, melt it into a thick paste that flowed across the floor.
Ciris saw this and when the paste reached him he jumped back away from it. He stumbled in confusion and fell straight into the path of Vulgan.

Ciris looked up in fear and the glaring eyes of the assassin...
