Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: Well, here it is. I searched the entire BA section back to late 2003 to find a battle setting of the like, and was unsuccessful. Therefore, this will be our setting. I will be using Aleena, the link is in the usual spot. Now, let the fun begin! (Hopefully it won't go inactive)

BiC:
The villagers of the port town all crowded by the docks as the noontime sun beat down on them. Seldom was it that they had the opportunity to see something of the like. For out in the middle of the bay sat a gargantuan sized ship, awaiting her passengers from this port so that she may begin her journey out to sea. Black smoke poured out of her five massive funnels which towered over the superstructure like mountains overlooking a plain, eager to depart yet reserved and patient.

In the winding streets of the village however, a young woman rushed through the crowded streets trying to find the docks. Damn it, she thought acidly. You’d think they would put signs to such an important place. Many people stared as the white-haired youth hurried past them, creating a small gust of wind as she blew by. After turning many corners and going down many narrow alleys, the half-demon reached a break in the high walls of the maze-like town. To her relief, the docks were just on the other side of the small wall, except it was an additional fifty feet below.

Good, a shortcut, thought the youth. To the great shock of the on-lookers the woman jumped off the wall, plunging to the ground below. Yet, to their utter amazement, when she hit the ground, she carried on as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. The half-demon groaned at the sight of nearly one hundred humans on the very dock where she had to go. Yet, to her great resentment she had to get through to the small tugboat that would take her to the leviathan moored in the bay.

“Pardon me, excuse me, move please,” were all common words uttered as the young woman made her way through the crowd, like an icebreaker making a path. At the end of the dock stood a rather handsome man in a blue uniform, obviously a member of the crew reasoned the lunar demon. “Ticket and name please,” said the man automatically, spying the woman with her suitcase.

“Aleena Moteiran,” said the young woman as she handed the ticket to the officer.

“Very good, all is in order. Just in time too. Well, don’t dilly dally, come aboard.” Aleena carefully climbed on board the tugboat, she had never been on a boat before and despite her preparation, managed to fall flat on her face to the wooden deck. “Let me help you up Ms Moteiran,” said the officer, extending his hand to her.

“Thanks,” she uttered as she got up. “You can call me Aleena you know, I’m not keen on the “Ms Moteiran” thing.”

“Of course, my apologies,” the man said.

The boat slowly moved toward the leviathan, each meter closer making it look more gigantic than it already was. The superstructure was as black as night itself, while above the thin gold line was as white as the hair that flowed elegantly down Aleena’s back. Below the forecastle deck, at the front of the ship, large golden writing bore the words, Queen Anne upon the steel façade of the ship. The salty smell of the sea air filled her lungs as she took her first real breath since she left the hotel, but something told her that the ship itself was like a floating hotel.

The tugboat connected to the hull of the ship, making look like a cat next to an elephant. The black steel door creaked open, allowing the passengers to step beyond the threshold into a world of luxury. Aleena stepped lively across the rickety wooden bridge into the sturdy interior of the ship where her eyes met the most impressive sight they had ever seen. The reception room boasted a beautiful carpet that covered the entire floor in its purple-blue hue with accompanying crest-like patterns.

Aleena smiled at the sight of the regal ship, taking time to explore the maze-like passages and halls. After all, she was going to be on this ship for the next week. This is what I need, thought the young half-demon. A nice relaxing voyage. Aleena then opened the door to her cabin, B-56, and walked in. It was a beautiful room, red was obviously the theme colour here as almost everything was painted, or made red. Exhausted from all that walking, she spread herself out on her large, satin covered bed, awaiting dinner as the ship headed out to sea.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Vasili watched the gentle waves splash up on the sides of the little tugboat, the surf swirling in a green, cyan, and deep blue mix, crested with white foam. The white eyes peered over the high collar as if in a trance, the image of the swirling sea mirrored in their depths.

“Oy, oy. Sir, we’re here.” The officer said, tapping Vasili lightly on the shoulder. The white-eyed, dark-haired wander gave a murmuring ascent and nodded his head, turning to board the cruiser. The ship was magnificent. A deep violet-hued carpet covered the floor, polished oak coverings lined the walls and trim, and shining, golden chandeliers hung from the ceiling, swinging slightly with the sway of the ship. Tuning out the reception officer who had stepped forward to address the disembarking group, Vasili dug around under his tattered mantle, fishing out the elusive ticket. His fingers finally closing around it, the Puppet Master held it up, reading each line carefully. Looking up and finding the officer walking away, Vasili moved out from the rest of the group in search of his room.

Tuning down one hallway, the wander found it flooded with a bright orange light, the rays of the setting sun drifting in through the numerous portholes that lined one wall. His white eyes drifted out through those windows as he walked along, admiring the effect of the setting sun on the sea. The Puppet Master’s thoughts were drawn back to recent events. One of his uncles had finally decided to confront the teenager face-to-face, the countless assassins he had dispatched defeated. The encounter had been brief, yet utterly revealing. And what had been revealed was that Vasili was still a long way from avenging his mother and destroying his father’s family.

He had managed to escape, finding his way here, to the sea. Hence, his reason for boarding the Queen Anne. Although his uncle was more powerful than he had thought, he was still determined to kill him, along with the rest of the Ashkevren’s. And he had thoroughly conveyed that feeling to his uncle, which was why he had managed to escape by way of sea. His uncle was still convinced that Vasili was hiding in the same area he had been, not wont to abandon his revenge. Vasili smirked behind his collar. Although powerful, his uncle was something of a fool. He would never give up on his vengeance. Even if he left now, he would eventually return, stronger.

A small hand reached up and grabbed the tattered hem of his mantle, shattering his contemplations. Startled, Vasili looked down into the widest, bluest eyes he had ever seen in his life. A blonde-haired, dressed up little girl stared up at him, one small hand still clutching and pulling at his hem. She could only be four, at most.

“Meester. Hey, meester, can you help me?” She asked, her eyes going even wider. Shrugging, Vasili knelt down.

“Alright. What do you need?” He asked quietly, his white eyes staring into her blue ones.

“I can’t find my room!” She whined, tears rimming her eyes. Vasili groaned slightly.

“Alright, alright. Just don’t . . . don’t cry. Do you have your ticket?” Taking the girl’s hand and the presented ticket, he led her along. They found the room quickly, and surprisingly, near to his own room. Waving goodbye to the little girl as he returned her to her parents, Vasili held up his ticket, comparing it to the number on the door. This is it. B-55.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: Sorry, I couldn't find a way for the battle to begin. However, I did possibly set it up. I just can't think anymore from here, so I leave it up to you. Oh, and just so you know, your characters cabin, B-55, is on the other side of the ship, not directly beside like I think you planned.

BiC:
The gentle sea breeze blew caressing the gargantuan liner as she continued further out to sea. The Queen Anne had already been in the open waters of the Lesser Ocean for almost two days. Most of the passengers aboard her were having the times of their lives, except for a peculiar white-haired young woman.

This is hell, thought Aleena as she starred out to sea from the Lower Promenade. Her sapphire blue eyes looked as though they had absorbed the sea itself because she had starred at it for so long. The wind played with her platinum hair blowing it every way imaginable. The young half-demon was bored out of her skull, there was literally nothing for her to do that wasn’t either degrading or just plain creepy. Maybe I’ll grab a deckchair and read a book or something, resolved the half-blooded demon.

With all haste to escape the torture of boredom, Aleena rushed to her cabin to grab sunglasses and a book to read. However, when she made it to the Upper Promenade (or Boat Deck) she saw that every single deckchair had an occupant. Most of them were sunbathers, taking advantage of the summer’s afternoon sun. Others were old people who were fast asleep, or too tired to continue down the immense ship’s length.

Aleena let out an exasperated sigh. Maybe the pool will have some open chairs, thought the young woman. When she got to the outdoor pool toward the aft of the ship, she found she was indeed correct. Yet, there was something worse then sunbathers or the elderly. “Ugh, children,” said Aleena quietly. The loud shouts and screams of children at play made the young half-demon cringe at the sound. “Well,” she said at a normal voice level. “There goes that idea.”

Defeated, Aleena went back to her cabin and collapsed on her bed. She lay there for over a half-hour, starring at the ceiling and becoming lost in thought. Beginning to feel uncomfortable, she turned onto her side and saw a brochure for the ship on the side table. Maybe this will give me an Idea, she thought hopefully. After only a few minutes of browsing, she found what she was looking for. “… Among other things,” the brochure read, “the Queen Anne sports a world class Spa open to all those 18 and older.

Perfect, thought the half-demon upon reading that sentence. “No screaming kids, a nice relaxing place to be, and just look at all these treatments!” she exclaimed, seeing the various comforts that the spa offered. I know what I am going to do today, that’s for sure, thought Aleena as she walked out the door. The spa was located three decks above the keel in the belly of the ship, right next to the indoor pool. Getting down would require the use of the Grand Staircase.

And how grand it was. The Stairs had to be by far, the most regal and beautiful part of the entire ship. It was a vast network of polished oak, marble, gold, and glass combined to make the most breath-taking structure Aleena had ever seen. She slowly descended the stairs, taking in every second she could. Although it had to be her twentieth time on those steps, it was still as awe-inspiring, as it was the first time.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: Wai~! I finally found a way to keep both characters true to their personalities, while still bringing them to a fight! It's still kinda short though. But, now that things are actually going, I'll be able to post much more frequently.

IC: Vasili’s hand rested on the curling, silver handle. He had thought to seek out his room and rest, yet now that he was here, he found himself devoid of a single drop of desire to do so. The remembrance of the recent battle had stirred his blood and re-ignited the desire for vengeance within him. Releasing his hold on the doorknob, the puppeteer spun on his heel, marching determinedly down the hall and back into the main body of the ship. The only problem was, his determination lacked both an ends and a means. His body tingled, every molecule within him longing for combat. Oh how he ached to jump overboard and swim back to land, just so he could confront his uncle again and rip his throat out.

Of course, even at the height of bloodlust and desire for revenge, Vasili would never do so foolhardy a thing. Pausing to survey his surroundings, the Puppet Master found himself at the foot of the grand staircase. The room was devoid of life, save for one silver-haired girl making her way down the grand structure. Practically seeping with frustration, Vasili stomped up the staircase, putting as much of his feelings into each step as possible.

“One day . . . One day I’ll kill all of those demon bastards.” Vasili spat.

What did you say?!” an incredulous voice blurted out behind him. Vasili's anger flaired. He was not in the mood.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: I'll hold you to that H.H, you can count on that. Anyway, here's my next post. Oh, and if I get his personality wrong, scold me via PM.

BiC:
Aleena continued down the Grand Staircase, admiring every one of its features along the way. Turning the corner down to the Reception Room, she saw the most peculiar of people coming towards the stairs. He was one of the most enigmatically dressed humans she had ever seen, most of his clothing was foreign to her, even if she wasn’t a half-demon. Despite his attire, she tried to pay him no mind, however, it was exceedingly difficult because it seemed like he was trying to crack the marble stairs with each step.

The half-demon cautiously passed the seething man on her way down, hearing him muttering to himself as she did. Someone’s in a nasty mood, she thought. Hopefully, there are not many others like him onboard.

Just as she reached the bottom step, Aleena heard the man she had passed speak.

“One day … One day I’ll kill all of those demon bastards.”

The half-lunar demon stopped dead cold, burning fury bubbled in her blood as her indignation got the better of her. “What did you say?!” Aleena blurted out. She wheeled on the spot to face the man that had offended her so, and he did the same.

“What does it matter to you?” spat the man.

“Trust me, it matters,” responded Aleena. “Now, tell me what you said!”

“I told you, it doesn’t matter! Now leave me alone.”

She could not stand that kind of attitude, as if she was inferior to him. The man had begun to turn away, continuing back up the stairs as though nothing had happened. Unable to control her rage she drew her sword from its scabbard, the sound of which caused the man to turn around and face her.

OoC: I posted this eariler (like more then a month ago), but the post was not recognized as new, so I deleated and re-posted it. Also, sorry about the quality, I wrote it during a dry spell. =s

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Everything within Vasili broke loose as the blade came free of its scabbard. Within half an instant, his hands had flown into the gloves hanging at his sides, and a large black globe had materialized in front of him. The orb swooped down and hung above the stairs below him for a moment before it vanished again, leaving Vasili’s look-alike crouched on the floor. Wordlessly, faint strands of blue energy attached themselves to the puppet. The silver-haired girl charged forward, blade raised. Curling his index and pinky fingers on his left hand, Vasili flicked his right index finger out. Kidoumaru leapt into the air, flipping backwards as a blade shot out over one of his hands. The puppet fell to the floor, landing in front of the girl and halting her progress.

Eyes narrowed, Vasili turned his right pinky in a little loop and pulled back with his left hand. Kidoumaru blocked the incoming katana, grabbed the blade and leapt over it in a wide arc, coming down on the opposite side and kicking out at Aleena. The girl sucked in her stomach and leapt back, but the blow still grazed her, knocking her off balance. Her foot twisted on the edge of a stair and sent her tumbling down several feet. Kidoumaru followed and Vasili flicked both hands outward, turning his right one over and curving his middle fingers. Blades sprung out of the puppet’s middle arms, angling downward as it descended on the half-demon.

OoC: After this, my posts should be both longer and more frequent.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: I left off where I did becasue I did not want to take more control then nessisary over Vasili. Plus, I could not think of anything after the last paragraph.

BiC:
As though in slow motion, the puppet jumped on the half-demon, like a spider on a fly caught in its web. Aleena rolled out of the way, despite the pain from falling down the stairs, just as the puppet’s blades made contact with the ruby-red carpet that adorned the Reception Room. As she rolled, the half-breed stuck the tip of her blade in the carpet, allowing her to stand upright.

By that time, the puppet had freed his swords from the carpet. It looked at the half-demon with a blank gaze that caused a chill to go down her spine. Then, the mindless contraption charged at Aleena with full speed, four more swords coming out of its four other hands. Before it even got halfway to her, she used her ability to manipulate Gravity to force the puppet into the ceiling.

With the puppet disabled, she then turned toward the puppet master, and charged again. However, with blinding speed he managed to avoid her every attack. The half-demon swung blindly, hoping she would get a hit eventually. When he saw an opining, the puppet master stuck, sending her flying into one of the railings. The force of the collision caused the delicate wood and gold railing to splinter and shatter as the young woman passed through, throwing light in every direction.

She hit the ground hard, then rolled uncontrollably across the floor, only stopping when her limb body made contact with the oak wall. The puppet, now free of the Gravitational upset, fell to the ground, landing gracefully on its feet. Aleena quickly recovered, and just in time as the puppet charged like an angry rhinoceros. It collided with the wall, having missed its quarry who got out of the way just in time, throwing dust and wood scraps into the air.

The puppet master moved to the bottom of the stairs, trying to get a better view of the battle unfolding before him. “Coward!” Aleena shouted. At this, she tried to charge him again; however, the six-armed puppet tackled the half-demon before she could get anywhere close. A sharp pain went down her side as the puppet and herself went flying through a door that separated the upper decks from the lower decks. Tumbling down the stairs that lay behind it, the puppet and half-demon descended into the more natural-light deprived section of the ship.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Vasili swore as the two entangled forms tumbled out of sight, the echoing crashes of their fall drifting up to him from the open doorway. Vaulting over the broken railing, the Puppet Master sprinted towards the shadowed opening, craning his head and peering into the darkness. Nothing. Orange, flickering lights stood as inhumane sentries at regular intervals, yet their limited illumination revealed nothing to the young man. Iron pillars stood in similar intervals, further breaking up the light. Crouching down, the puppeteer stalked forward, his soft boots making barely a whisper against the iron stairs. As his toe touched down on the bottom stair, it encountered something hard, long, and thin. Vasili’s breath caught in his chest and his head snapped down, his white eyes squinting to see what he had just stepped on.

His breath came out in a sigh of relief; it was Kidoumaru. Quickly reattaching threads to the fallen puppet, Vasili brought his metallic clone to its feet. The two moved on, Kidoumaru crouching ahead of Vasili on all eight. A light overhead flickered, it’s dingy, white light causing the shadows on a pile of crates stacked against the nearest wall to dance and twist wildly. The white-eyed young man froze as his eyes locked on the dancing forms. For a moment, he had thought that they had looked strangely demonic, but he quickly dismissed it as a trick of light and shadow. Turning softly on the balls of his feet, the puppeteer preformed a quick scan of what he could see of the room. Again, he saw nothing.

And it was as quiet as it was dark, the only noise the churning and hissing of pipes and gears somewhere overhead and beneath the iron grate floor. But the hissing grew louder, rather than recede as it had been. Alarmed, and wondering if something had happened to the ship, Vasili turned on his heel. Just in time to see a demonic black thing fly towards him. Both arms came up on instinct alone, Kidoumaru leaping up to intercept the demon in midair and literally rip its arms off. The beast disintegrated with an evil hiss, the puppet falling back to the ground empty-handed. Another hiss drew Vasili’s gaze to the right. Two more of the shadow creatures were separating themselves from the wall, razor-sharp claws rising to the ready. Alright, so maybe it wasn’t a trick of light and shadow.

Another pair of the creatures dropped down on his left, and Vasili smoothly eased back against a pillar, Kidoumaru skittering back to his feet. Despite his bad mood, the Puppet Master’s mouth twisted up in a wry grin. Two of the creatures, one on each side, crouched down, their legs tensing and their clawed hands steadying themselves as they prepared to leap. Vasili’s own legs tensed, and at the same time the demons launched themselves at him, he leap straight up, kicked off the pillar behind him, and flipped through the air, landing deftly out of harm’s way. As he did so, the puppeteer yanked both arms up and back, Kidoumaru following through the air behind him and slamming into the colliding creatures.

A flick of two fingers, and blades sprung out of two of the puppet’s arms. The blades pierced through the creatures. Vasili rotated each finger and tugged outward, Kidoumaru’s arms following suit and ripping through the shadowy hides. The puppet came down once more; the demons didn’t. Grinning openly now, Vasili curled his index and ring fingers, turning his hands over as he did so. Kidoumaru’s bottom two arms extended and disconnected at the elbow, the forearms folding up over the biceps. Another flick, and twin daggers shot out of the revealed openings in the elbow joints, soaring through the air and impaling the remaining beasts in their throats.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: It's short, but I have to respond to some of these soon. Take your time responding, the end of the year "crunch" is starting to happen. -_-

BiC:
Deep within the belly of the ship rested the lunar demon. The once muffled hum of the engines became more predominant this far down, what with the lack of soft surfaces to absorb the sound waves. She watched with interest as the man stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking anxiously for her. Resting in the shadow of a large piece of machinery, she was safe for the moment.

Damn, thought the half-breed. Her Necrals, slaughtered systematically, returned to the shadows taking on the shapes they used to. The fall down the stairs with the heavy, metal puppet injured her more then she would admit. Buying some more time, she summoned more of them to attack the puppet and its master. However, like the ones before them, theses shadow creatures also met their demise.

Shrugging away the pain, Aleena carefully crept up behind the puppet master. Using the element of surprise, she was going to catch them off guard, and end this foolish skirmish. Like a tiger on the prowl, she circled her opponent using the crates to hide herself until it was too late for him to strike back. Silently, the half-demon managed to work her way behind him, in the perfect spot to pounce.

Still ignoring the pain form the fall, she dashed at the puppeteer with a surprising burst of speed. However, he seemed to be aware of this maneuver because the puppet immediately jumped in front of its master, shielding him from her blade. It quickly struck back, using its six arms to overpower the half-blood, sending her flying into a nearby crate.

Reducing the crate to splinters, the half-demon pulled herself out of the wreckage, still reeling from the blow. Just as she stood on her feet once more, the puppet flew over and sent her flying once more. Unfortunately, instead of a crate, this time the young woman flew into one of the steel pillars. The sickening sound of breaking bone met her ears as her shoulder made contact, a shock wave of pain spreading from the source.

Her limp body hit the floor; the sword she had held the entire time flew out of her hands. Even if she could get to it, she would not be able to hold it; the pain in her fractured arm would be too great. Doing her best to ignore it, the half-demon ran to collect her blade. She could use it in her left hand if she had to anyway. Just as she was about to grab her sword, however, the puppet grabbed it and jumped back to its master.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Vasili contemplated the sword in his hand, glancing up every now and then to look up at the girl. She looked a bit battered . . . perhaps he ought to leave her as it is. Such were his thoughts . . . until he remembered that she was the one that attacked him. A fresh wave of anger washed over the Puppet Master, his hand tightening around the hilt. Grinning wickedly, the dark-haired young man hurled the sword up over his shoulder, the blade whirling through the air and into the darkness, hidden from view by the various stacks of crates and iron pillars. Whipping his hands out, Vasili brought Kidoumaru to the front. A slight twist of his fingers and Kidoumaru’s six arms shot out, inch-wide barrels opening in the palm of each hand. Aleena’s eyes widened as he guessed at what was about to come, and the girl leapt to the side, just barely avoiding the spread of needles that tore into the already smashed crates, reducing them to splinters.

The puppet followed the half-demon as she danced around a pillar, Vasili circling around behind it. The Puppet Master rotated his middle fingers, numerous curved blades popping out from two of Kidoumaru’s arms. Aleena zigzagged backwards, leaping onto a pile of crates. Kidoumaru followed, arms slashing. Ducking under a wide swipe, the lunar demon jumped over the puppet, grabbing its head with both hands, curling her legs and placing her feet against it’s back. Using her momentum to pull it back, the girl kicked out, sending the puppet flying over her head and into a pillar. Aleena rolled to her feet and watched the puppet intently, waiting for it to rise again. It didn’t. Confused, the lunar demon backed up. Into the waiting maw of another puppet.

Grinning from behind Shukaku, Vasili twitched his hands, opening the large, circular mouth staring Aleena in the face. A blast of fire caught the girl point-blank, sending her flying through the dimly-lit room to disappear from view.

OoC: How uninspired I feel...

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Thankfully for the half demon, the blast caused by the puppet did not do much damage to her, other then a couple of mild burns. It also seemed luck was on her side, the blast having thrown her just inches away from her precious blade. Using Gravity, she pulled the sword towards her and into her good arm. That was when it hit her; she could end this fight anytime she wanted just using gravity alone.

Using her sword as a walking stick, the half demon slowly emerged from the shadows to face the puppet master. “Now you’ve made me mad”, she said with blatant disregard to her own safety.

However, the man in front of her remained silent.

“I guess it’s time I end this,” she said with a wicked smile upon her face. She then lifted her good arm and pointed it at the man in front of her. “It was a good fight though, so I guess I should thank you for you effort. However, you must die now.” With that, she focused as much energy at him as she could, and using her powers over Gravity, sent him flying backwards, his body piercing into the solid steel wall behind him.

A series of loud thuds later; the popping of rivets could be heard coming from the holes the lunar demon’s attacks had made. Aleena cursed at her own enthusiasm when she heard the sound of rushing water coming from that direction.

OoC: So basically, Aleena sent Vasili thorugh a few steel walls and into the hull of the ship, causing several rivets to pop, and thus start flodding the ship. Unfortunalty, the damage to the ship is fatal, seeing as how all the watertight doors are not working. =P

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Vasili groaned, heaving sheets of torn steel off his body. He hated going through walls, really he did. Eyes flashing menace, the puppeteer started chanting. A large globe, devoid of any real color, appeared for a moment, depositing a heap of tangled limbs before disappearing. Vasili tossed out his hands, threads of energy flying from his fingertips to attach to the puppet. The creation lifted itself up on eight legs, Vasili hopping onto it’s back as it climbed back through the hole.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: Please don't make me wait that long again. -_-

BiC:
As the eight-legged freak of a puppet wiggled its way through all the holes in the walls, the half demon smiled. Sure, she wanted to end the fights as soon as possible, but she had to give him credit for being so tough. In fact, this fight may just help her vent a lot of frustration and anger, always welcome in her little world.

“Looks like I’ll be having sushi tonight,” she joked as it poked through the final wall, its owner riding on its back. Suddenly, she changed her open stance to a defensive one, holding her sword across her, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. She had no idea what that puppet could do, but she didn’t like the look of the gems embedded on its face

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

A flick of Vasili’s wrist sent a clawed tentacle flying out at the lunar demon, the silvery-haired female leaping out of reach and up a pile of wooden crates. The claw opened wide as it fell short, the hole within its center glowing orange. A burst of fire escaped the claw, soaring up at the girl. She fell back quickly, the flames just catching the ends of her hair.

OoC: Shortest, crappiest post ever. :S

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Aleena quickly patted out the stray licks of flame that clung to her hair, extinguishing them before they could do any real damage. She dodged a barrage of tentacles as they sprung forth from the puppet, each just missing her by the width of a hair. Realizing the multitude of appendages could trap her; she wheeled around and sliced a couple off in a single stroke.

Using the momentum of her slices, she faced the monster puppet and swung again. This time, massive air pressure built up around the tip of the blade, and exploded forward as the swing finished. Using gravity to air the already powerful shock wave, it connected with the puppet with such force that it flew through the steel wall behind it. Much like the puppet master before it, when the half-demon thought about it.

OoC: I think this battle has lost it's appeal. =/ I mean, look at the time between posts. Hard to get excited and inspired, isn't it?

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

Vasili winced as he crashed through the wall, his bones cracking.

Damn demon! The Puppet Master plunged into water, the tentacled puppet falling over him. Blinking, the white-eyed man looked around the flooded chamber. It took only a few moments to spot the rift that had popped open in the hull. Swimming closer to the opening, the Puppet Master slung his minion forward, its clawed tentacles gripping the sides of the fissure. Its legs bulged as it tore the rift wider. Water rushed in, the pressure pushing Vasili back and spreading into the other chamber even faster.

Wrapping an arm around the puppet, Vasili sent the construct up, a tentacle extending to wrap around a support beam overhead. The Puppet Master flew out of the water and landed deftly on the beam, the puppet hanging from it. A few muttered words and a last harnessing of his energy summoned a portal next to the white-eyed puppeteer.

"A parting gift, before you sink to the depths, you damn demon girl," Vasili declared, controlling the puppet with his hand. A tentacle angled down towards the flooding water, the opening in it's claw charging with electricity. The charged shot slammed into the water, electrical currents immediately spreading across it. Chuckling, Vasili disappeared into the portal, the glowing opening closing behind him.

Re: Seas of Dissolution (Hyrulian Hero)

She had to float in the air to avoid the rapidly rising, electrified water, but she managed it all the same. Coming up to more dry decks, she saw the people scurry around like rats, the order to abandon ship sounding throughout the dying vessel. It was a sad sight to see a ship go, but the Half-demon had to be swift if she was to recover her belongings.

Running past a myriad of people, she came upon her cabin. Like a flash, she gathered up as much stuff as she could before putting her life vest on and heading for the Boat Deck.

Still, as she got loaded into the Lifeboat she could not help but feel it was her fault. Anger had caused her so much trouble in the past, but now it led to lives being in danger. She looked at the floor with slight shame at her rash actions, the pain in her broken arm surfacing as though to punish her.

She deserved it.

Never again would she let her emotion push her that far. Never again would she put innocent lives in danger just for emotional gratification. She may have thought she was grown up before, but this reminded her she still had a lot of growing to do. The boat lowered slowly into the water beside the sinking ship, and so too did Aleena’s eyes, tired from the exhaustive fight.

OoC: I finally declare this thread, "Complete!"
