Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Ok, this post is basically explaining why the hell Esni is here, so you can do the same in your post and then the battle can start in the second round of posts once we come up with a reason for the fight.

BiC: Cold, dark moon, bloody ground, corpses galore, this is what surrounded the young boy as he sat on the ground burying his head in his arms. This was what remained of the city of Bimalon. The majestic, powerful wings of the once proud Bimalonians were now the torn, bloody remains of a now endagered race. It had been a whole day since the terrible prequel to the ruin that now encompassed Esni's entire field of view and thought. Thousands that were laughing and smiling less than two days ago no longer existed, and their entire culture and city was now quickly plummeting out of the divine skies. All Esni could think about was escaping the sinking city that had once lighted the skies of the Plane of Death.

"How could something like this happen? How could even Rein Aeria do this to these people... to his brother and creator?" Esni asked himself, sobbing in-between syllables. The few survivors that had survived Rein's assault had fled when the city began to fall from the sky; only Esni remained. He had no idea where his father was at this point, and all he could think about was whether he was safe or not. He knew that his father would never leave him as long as he was alive, and the thought that he was alone scared him. The picture was still fresh in his mind: the image of the arrow that membered the body of the creator of Silronia. The only survivor of the Silver Team of old was now gone, Count Christof was dead..

A day after the carnage, he still sat in disbelief. The always jovial, embodiment of innocence now found himself completely encapsuled in grief and death. Finally realizing that he had to get off of the city before it hit the plane barrier between the Plane of Death and the Plane of Light, Esni rose to his feet and began to look for any sign of life that he could bring with him. Specifically, he was looking for Rael and Eve, the two captains of the Bimalon guard. In truth, it was Rael's presence in Bimalon that drove Rein to destroy it, being that Rael was the part of him that was accepted and embraced by the gods. Rael's existence was the only reason for Rein's 600 years in the Terminus Infinitum. Now it was all going as he had planned, and Esni did not want that; he had to find and revive Rael. This was now the only reason that he remained.

OoC: Ok, I bet this is confusing to you. Explanation: The city of Bimalon is the place in the Plane of Death in Silronia where demons go when they die. It is a futuristic city (think Star Wars' Coruscant) inhabitted by a small number of people called Bimalonians. Bimalonians have the appearance of human-sized angels without halos. The god, Count Christof, was the creator of the entire Dimension of Silronia and he lived in the city. Basically, the great demon, Rein Aeria, attacked the city and slaughtered everyone in it. The damage was so great that the entire thing is now falling through the sky and will soon collide with the plane barrier between the Plane of Death and the Light Plane. I was thinking that your character could arrive there by finding a rift in space that he decides to explore and it brings him there. The reason that the two characters fight can be decided after your next post ^^;;

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

"Damnit." Redrick said, as he kneeled above dead body lying in the middle of the street, of a ruined old village. "Blue liquid... Mallitricos." he said, as he wiped the liquid off the body. Redrick got up, and looked around. "Oh, you're good..." he said, looking around the area. "Mallitricos, you've really outdone yourself this time." He said, as he decided to wander around the village, looking for any signs of life.

"Come out, Mallitricos. I'm here for you." Redrick said, as he entered an old building. Blue liquid covered the walls around him. He paused, for a moment, as a rat scurried out from behind a chair. Redrick caught the rat, and looked at it closely. There were burn and cut marks across it's face. "Must be desperate if she's attacking rats." he said, as he dropped the animal on to the ground.

Redrick slowly climbed up the stairs. Words were painted on the walls. The words slowly made out in to a sentence as he climbed, with one word per step, at least. "Red I've got a surprise for you", he said, as he read the walls. "I've found a perfect world", he continued to read. "More perfect than this village". Redrick stopped reading, for the words stopped. He looked across the stairs, and saw a door, slightly opened.

Redrick opened the door, and looked in the room. He slowly walked in. It was a bedroom, and something was under the bed. Redrick pulled off the sheet covering the object, but sighed a sigh of dissapointment. A small girl, not past the age of eight, was laying there, dead. The eyes were rolled in to the back of the body's head, and the body was covered in blue liquid. "This isn't Mallitricos." Redrick said.

Redrick put the sheet back over the body, and looked across from the bed. There was a bathroom on the other side of the room, and Redrick slowly walked towards it. There, in the middle of the bathroom, was a blue, magic portal. Above the portal, blue words read, "See this land of beauty". Redrick slowly stepped in to the portal.

Before he knew it, he had landed in another world. He got up, slowly, and looked around. "What is this place? What a dump." he said, standing in the middle of a strange realm of destruction.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

Esni had been wandering around for over an hour now, yet he failed to find a single body. Dust was all that existed now in the once glorious city of Bimalon. Silronia was the most prosperous and beautiful place in the universe at one time... but then came the plague and Rein Aeria. Only one who had suffered the worst kind of pain could be demented enough to do this. The boy continued strolling down the street, keenly observing his surroundings to the fullest extent in case even a limb of a person remained. It was unfortunate that his godhand techniques were incomplete, or else he would be able to return the live of the target without having a piece of the body or soul.

As he continued on, he noticed that the great Tower of Shadow's Veil was completely in ruin. The tower had once been the ultimate test for any warrior that wanted everything, now it was the same as its creator: gone. Time was growing short now, and the city began to crumble even more. This caused the speed of the fall to increase drastically. Esni calculated that he could only stay another ten minutes before the city was completely destroyed. If only he knew what the place was made of, he might have been able to repair it with magic, but he had not the slightest clue what to do. This was truly the first time that he had ever had no answer to a problem.

He considered trying to slow the fall with magic, but the mass of the city equalled that of four jupiters; it could not be done by him alone. Right as the last ounce of hope was fluttering from his soul, a loud swirling sound hit the tactician's ears from the west. From what he knew this was the sound of a warp portal. With complete desperation taking control of his head, Esni ran, ran as fast as he could towards the sound. Though it had only lasted a few seconds, the boy was able to trace the sound to an area behind a large building to the south of Shadow's Veil. As he rounded the corner to observe what it was, he noticed a man standing on the roof of the building.

"Where am I?" his voice came.

"...You are in what is left of the city of Bimalon," Esni sighed, trying to be loud enough for the man to hear. "Something tells me that you aren't from Silronia."

"Silronia? No..."

"Well then you shou-" he was cut off as the ground began to shake rapidly. Redrick was taken by surprise as well and lost his footing. Before he could hit the ground, he felt something beneath him stop his fall. His head turned and he stared at what looked like a ghost holding him by his arms.

"What the?" he asked.

"It's one of mine," Esni said as he dismissed the ghost. "We have to get out of here, that shake was definitely not a good thing.

"I don't know what is going on here, but you are going to tell me!' Redrick shouted at the child, becoming rather irritated with the situiation. This was the definition of hell.

OoC: You could do whatever you want now. If you really wanted, we could join up and turn this not into a battle, but rather into a struggle to escape from the falling city. Otherwise, just try and come up with a good reason for them to fight ^^

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Alrighty. I'll add more reason for Redrick to not fight, then. Alright if I bring in a bit more involvement of my other character?

BiC:

The two climbed off the ghost. "No time..." Esni said. Redrick looked at him, as he started to run, and Redrick followed. They continued to run, dodging falling rocks and buildings. "Told you it was perfect." Redrick stopped, after hearing these loud words. Esni stopped, and looked back at Redrick. "Are you going to come or not?" he shouted.

"Ahh, Mallitricos, you're playing a little game here... I see what you're doing. You want me to find, and fight you, in this place. Hell, you pick the best locations. Well, I'll be sure to find you in this mess." Redrick said. Esni looked at Redrick talking to himself. "Are you coming?" he shouted. Redrick looked at Esni. "Certainly." Redrick replied. The two continued to run, dodging falling objects. Esni told his story to Redrick as they ran.

They continued to run until they stopped, at a dead end. The ground was starting to shake. However... A strange phenomenon could be seen off in the distance. Large, stone platforms, formed from the falling city, started to float up in to the air. They continued to float up, until one was close enough for the two to jump across. And so they did.

They looked back at the rest of the falling city. Esni looked off into the distance, things looked sort of blurry. The two journeyed across the platforms, Esni continuing to speak the lore of Silronia, into the depths of this hellish place, looking for a way out... However, unknown to them, these particular platforms were covered in the same bluish liquid Redrick had seen in the dusty old village...

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Heh, I think this should lead to both of our characters fighting their enemies, that would be quite cool. And... HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT THE CITY WAS MADE UP OF PLATFORMS??? Stalker...

BiC: The many platforms before them seemed to come together as if controlled by some sort of magic. Each step they took, another piece of debris flew beneath them, holding them up. The chaos around them was not enough to distract Redrick from the trail of blue liquid that lined the platforms of the city. A minute now they had been running, on and on, following the blatant trail that was being forged as they moved. Suddenly, Esni paused and threw his hand forward to catch Redrick who had kept going.

"Watch it! The platforms stopped coming..." he yelled as he pulled up the warrior. As they regained their balance, a very loud, low shriek could be heard from the east. Esni turned his head and jumped back with a scream as he saw the massive body of a golden wyrm dragon fly diagonally up through the large platform before them. "Let's hurry this up, I don't want to fight that thing!" the boy yelled as he used his own magic to continue the path of platforms directly up to western half of the city on the horizon. He found it unimaginably difficult to control the falling platforms at the same speed that the city was falling.

With great difficulty, he moved the platforms steadily forward and down at the same speed as the falling debris around them so that they wouldn't be hit by the large falling city that was now above their heads. Finally with a huge gasp the two jumped as high as they could and landed upon the ruined western half of Bimalon. Because this side was much less damaged, it was still suspended in air and they were able to stand on solid ground again. Clearly something was up with this, as it had been falling like the rest of the city just a second ago. The two looked at eachother with uncertainty, and then continued into the wreckage.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

As they continued in to the wreckage, Redrick seemed to grow louder whenever he talked. "Oh, you're good, Mally... Just wait until I see you. Oh, yes, this will be great..." Esni wasn't really paying attention to Redrick now. That is, until they came across a heap of debris covered in the same blue liquid. Esni then asked Redrick who this Mallitricos person even was. Redrick turned to Esni, and smiled. "Why, do you ever have nightmares? Ever experience fear beyond belief?" Redrick said, in a calm voice. "Mallitricos is nightmare incarnate."

Suddenly, the debris began to move. Redrick laughed. "He thinks this is fun, leading me into this realm that doesn't involve me at all..." he said, as the debris started to connect, by a blue liquid. Esni started to feel vibration around the area. The debris took shape, and looked like a giant stone warrior. "Ah, you're powers are truly magnificent, aren't they, Mallitricos?" Redrick said, as he pulled out his dagger.

Esni prepared to fire a blast of magic at the enemy, as Redrick quickly jumped up in to the air. Redrick was jumping around the area, slicing the enemy whenever he could, and Esni was blasting magic. After a good bit of damage was done, Redrick landed on the ground, and started chanting. Energy started to store up as the beast approached. Suddenly, he screamed out the word, "Thor!", and a giant portal of lightning appeared on the ground. A figure with a giant warhammer walked out of the portal.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: This is where the actual (unexpected twist) battle begins ^^

Suddenly out of nowhere, the mass amounts of blue liquid floated into the air and began to erratically spaz. Redrick was rather stumped at this and backed away towards Esni. In the distance, a black figure could be seen. Esni focused his eyes in and then let a small yelp out as he jumped backwards to avoid what could have been a fatal wound. Redrick slowly turned his head in complete surprise to see a rip in existence itself right were Esni was in the shape of a blade slash. He had no idea what this was, but Esni knew all too well.

"What is it now, Dayrose?" came a harsh voice in the direction of the figure. "This guy that is with you, I had no idea that someone like him existed outside of my periphery. This Mallitricos is not what you think it is, Master Redrick," he spat as the blue liquid dissipated.

"What is this!?" Redrick shouted looking at Thor in case he needed to issue an order. The figure stepped forward, revealing a man in a black cape with majestic blue and black armor that seemed to glow with a azure haze. His long silver, almost white, hair flowed down to his mid-back, and on his side lay the most ornate sheath that Redrick had ever seen.

"I am the Undying Evil of Silronia, Rein Aeria. I used this blue stuff to lure you here so that I may enjoy watching you make this kid here squirm," he explained as he looked in Esni's direction.

"Where is my father, you monster!" Esni yelled, trying to control his feelings.

"Vane is not going to be able to help you this time, and neither will your head!" Rein yelled as he pointed each of his fingers at Redrick and Esni. Within seconds, each could feel their minds slipping away completely. Instead of the thoughts that had been in their head, they were each thinking of how to murder eachother now. "Now Redrick, until you kill this boy you will be under my control, and Esni, you will be under my control until you kill this man. Once you are done entertaining me, I will give the victor the gift of a few more days of life before I hunt you down and kill you!"

"You murdered everyone I know!" Redrick shouted at Esni, ready to strike. Rein had filled his mind with images of the boy murdering all of his friends and family.

"You will tell me where my father is you scum!" Esni shouted back at Redrick, thinking that the man held his father captive somewhere.

Rein laughed from the side and then disappeared into dust, his voice echoing, "I'll enjoy watching this one."

OoC: There, best thing I could think of that would actually turn this into a battle between our characters. I was looking at something like we were going to do before and it got locked by mods, so I had to turn this into a battle ^^;;

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

Redrick stared at the boy. "And I thought Vaion, Mallitricos, and the rest of those fools were evil... You'll die here, Esni." Redrick said, as he started to circle Esni, from a distance.

"Me? You kidnapped my father. YOU'LL be the one dying, this day." Esni replied. At the end of his words, Redrick pulled out his crossbow. Esni gasped as he was struck by a shot from the weapon. Esni pulled out the bolt from his chest, and tossed it aside. He was bleeding heavily.

"I doubt it." Redrick said, as he put away his dagger and started to rush towards Esni. Esni was barely able to dodge a slice from Redrick's blade.

Rein, watching from the distance, started to talk to himself. "Hmm, I wouldn't want this to end that easily... Maybe I should interfere, just a bit." With a wave of his hand, the wound in Esni's chest healed.

"Ahh-ahh, father gives me strength... I won't let him down!" Esni said, as he shot a fireball at Redrick. "DAMN!" Redrick yelled, as he was knocked back. He was able to get rid of the fire quickly, but suffered a from a few burns. "Alright, alright... Fire, is it?" Redrick said, as he started to stand still.

Both of the fighters, Redrick and Esni, lifted their hands up, and each seemed to be forcing magic up from the earth. After a few seconds (Rein was eagerly watching, off in the distance), a blast of Esni's Flamequake spell hit Redrick, just as Níðhöggr flew up in fiery wrath, damaging Esni.

Esni backed off, looking at the mighty reptile. Redrick called out to the boy. "You like playing with fire? Good, I do too. Níðhöggr, finish him!" Redrick shouted, as the beast started to breath fire towards Esni. The boy was covered in flames, seemingly defeated. "Ahh, good job, Níðhö-" Redrick wasn't able to finish his sentence, as a fountain of water appeared from under the flames. The beast backed off, obviously damaged by the water.

Esni smiled. "I got more than just fire, you know."

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: How do you pronounce that? XD Níðhöggr

BiC: "Also, magic does not affect me in any way, so your elemental summons are pretty much useless," Esni explained as he manipulated the water directly at Níðhöggr's face, blasting the beast a football field away. Redrick looked over at his fallen summon, but he was too blinded by Rein's spell to care. The man readied his blade and began to rush the boy.

"You bastard!" He yelled a he closed in.

"Hmph!" Esni jumped up high into the air and began to propel himself with water around the area at a very high speed. Redrick only knew where he was because of the large stream of water behind him. In the boy's hand appeared a dark ball that slowly began to form into a black sword. Redrick could not see the blade because of the high speed and was helpless to the strike that came from his side and sheared off his left arm. Because of Rein's spell he felt no pain.

"Is that the best you can do, kid?" Redrick shouted in a rage as he took out his dagger and threw it into Esni's left leg, causing him to lose balance on the water. Rein watched, laughing laughing as the boy toppled from the sky and was drenched by his own water spell. Rein wanted them both to die, but he much rather wanted to see Redrick put his rival's son's life to an end. Vane, Esni and Braiden now together couldn't even pose the slightest threat against him, so all he could do was torture them until their gruesome deaths.

Using more manipulative magic Rein got into Esni's head and removed the viscious thoughts that had made him attack Redrick.

"Oww..." Esni whined as he felt the cut on his shin. "What happened?" Before anything could be said, Redrick was upon him, his blade unsheathed and ready to strike. Completely on reflex, Esni let loose a blast of dark energy that knocked the warrior through a large glass window on a nearby building. "What was that for? I thought we were trying to get out of here!"

"You bastard, whatever you are trying won't work, I will kill you for what you have done!" Redrick shouted.

OoC: So yeah... the spell is undone on Esni so that he can experience his "final moments." BTW, Rein is in my sig now. It's from another site because he is far to powerful for ZU, but you will get the idea of who he is.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Well, it can also be spelled "Nidhogg", said the way it sounds. Writing it that way, though, makes it seem more Norse mythology-y.

BiC:

Redrick sliced Esni right next to the throat. Blood ran down his dagger. Redrick laughed, softly. "Heheheh..." Redrick withdrew his dagger, and left Esni, who was breathing heavily.

Redrick looked over at Rein. "It's done... Now, get me out of here." Redrick said. Rein smiled softly. "Oh, you're not getting out of here." he said. Redrick's jaw dropped, slightly, as the stone was crumbling beneath him. Rein started to laugh, and walked away. "Damnit..."

Redrick started to feel as though something was returning to him.

"Where's that... Esni? Oh, damnit!" Redrick yelled, as he ran back to grab the boy. Redrick picked him up, and rushed past all of the crumbling debris.

As Redrick reached what looked like a long bridge, he started to run much faster. However, to his surprise, the golden wyrm from earlier appeared, and landed on the bridge.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

Tears of pain fell from Esni's eyes as he performed the spell that healed the wound on his throat. At this point he put two and two together to realize that Rein turned them against eachother. He had noticed also that Redrick was now free of the spell and in need of a lot of help. Rein was now invisible but omnipresent in the falling ruins of Bimalon. He watched with great satisfaction as the golden wyrm cast its tail into Redrick's forehead and knocked him through a stone wall.

"Hey!" Esni yelled as he propelled a prodigious fireball at the face of the wym. His resolve turned to horror as the ball of flame bounced off of the surface of the carapace. It cannot be that magic doesn't harm that thing, he thought. He tried again, this time with lightning, but got the same results. The boy knew that it he would be very hard-pressed to face that thing on his own and decided to stall until Redrick was back up.

"Dammit..." Redrick groaned as he tried to cover a gaping wound on his head; blood poured down like a crimson waterfall. He had hit a spike that had left a deep gash in his cranium. "Well at least the kid's okay, hopefully he'll forgive me so that we can beat that thing!' With that, Redrick pulled himself up and ran back as fast as he could in that state.

"Watch out, this thing is immune to all magic, and I don't know about physical attacks," Esni called over. He noticed Redricks wound immediately and formed a small, white aura ball that he launched at the wound to heal it. Redrick said nothing but shot him a "thank you" look. With that, the man ran and jumped off of the ledge, landing on the center of the colossal wyrm's back. He plunged his sword straight down, but the blade bounced off the scales just like the magic had.

"No choice... gotta run!"

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

Redrick jumped back, and he, with Esni, started running frantically across crumbling ruins. The wyrm fired several large blasts of fire at the two, as they constantly ran across the crumbling stones, dodging any debris that came towards them. When the group reached a dead end, the wyrm had caught up, and was preparing to attack.

Suddenly, with a loud yell, Redrick called forth Jörmungandr. Redrick and Esni jumped on to the back of the colossal serpent, as it dove down into the depths. "Hopefully this works..." Redrick said to himself. Esni was wondering why he and Redrick had jumped on to the beast, that was falling straight down.

OoC: Sorry for the short post. I have to go get dinner.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Haha, short is ok, I might do short too because I have done Thanksgiving chores all day and am wiped out. Also have another battle to post in after.

BiC: "This isn't going to work, I think I know that that is!" Esni yelled as he looked back to see the serpent taking its sweet time in chasing them. "That thing is product of Tome Arts, which means that there is absolutely no way we can defeat it and it's just playing with us!" They continued through the falling debris, swaying to the left and right to try and throw the pursuer off of their trail. They were now traveling upwards through an aerial tunnel that the wyrm barely fit itself into.

"What the hell is Tome Arts?" Redrick asked, concentrating on directing his summon in the correct direction.

"Sürokâtù! Continue to entertain me!" Rein shouted from nowhere at the giant behemoth dragon. At that, Esni's eyes filled with shock and horror and he almost fell right out of his seat.

"There is no way that... Sürokâtù can't be under Rein's command... THAT CANNOT BE THE WYRM OF THE VAYEBYSS!" the boy shouted in disbelief.

"Explain this all to me dammit!" Redrick shouted, extremely angry about the whole situation.

"...There is this place outside Silronia called the Vayebyss. It is where all life and existence originated from. Basically the whole thing was an experiment by the gods, but it actually became their factory for creating all living and non-living matter. Because it has always been so unstable, as it is the creation point of existence, the gods decided to place a guardian to keep anyone who ever found the place from ending existence itself.

"What does that have to do with this?"

"Well, that guardian was a black wyrm called Sürokâtù. The thing is... Rein Aeria found the tombstones of the three greatest heroes that you could imagine. Each of them had the power to single-handedly overthrow the gods with their genius in creating magic, and then suddenly they disappeared one day. Their tombstones were in the Terminus Infinitum, which leads me to believe that Sürokâtù was the creature that destroyed them. The explanation for Rein controlling it would be that Ka sealed the creature in his tome with his last breath, and now because Rein ahs the three tomes, he can control the wyrm. This theory would also explain why it is now golden, as Ka used Tome Gold as his element.

"Oh dammit..." was Redrick's only reply. Now he had to deal with something that could kill three people as powerful as Esni described.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

With great speed, Jörmungandr swerved through all of the debris, trying to escape the powerful creature that was chasing them. However, just when Redrick and Esni thought that they had escaped, beams of dark energy had fired at Jörmungandr. The might beast fell below, disentegrating. Redrick, thinking fast, tied a rope to one of his projectiles, and shot it, with his crossbow, towards a ruined stone statue, hulking over them. The projectile latched on to the statue, and the two climbed up.

When they reached the top of the statue, they turned around to look below.
Things were falling beneath them, but this area seemed to be stable. However, when the two looked up, the wyrm that had been chasing them was there, flying, right in front of them.

OoC: Sorry for the short post, not much to say.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

"We stand no chance against that thing... I didn't happen to mention that it took every single one of the gods to seal that thing in the Vayebyss. It was a lesson even for them not to create something that they couldn't handle," Esni whimpered as he looked at the flying dragon below them. The wind bit at their skin as if it were the breath of Rein Aeria himself. They were now standed on the only piece of the city that was not falling with the wyrm of the Vayebyss circling them.

"So you realize what danger you are in, eh Dayrose?" came that cold voice from behind. "Sürokâtù can bring himself up or down to any level, so I am going to make this a fair fight in which I can gain some enjoyment out of." With that, the Undying Evil's right hand rose up into the air and the color of the dragon faded from gold to rust.

"This bastard, we're gonna end you!" Redrick yelled.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

The villainous figure stood there, floating in midair, and dodged every one of Redrick's attacks. Rein caught Redrick by the neck, and cast him back down into the rubble. Esni fired several strong blasts of magic at the enemy, only to have them reflected off Rein's hands, flying in to random directions. "Esni, you persistant fool..." the villain shouted, as he fired bolts of magic down at the group.

Rein looked around at the rubble before him, and seemed pleased with himself. However, just as soon as he had started to look for the bodies of his opponents, a projectile had stabbed him, right in the shoulder. Redrick was there, holding his crossbow. "This is going to end, now..." Redrick said, as he put away his weapon. Rein painfully pulled out the bolt, and, with a powerful blast of magic, shot the projectile back at Redrick. Redrick was barely able to dodge it, for his cape was somewhat burned.

"You all shall tremble..." Rein shouted, as he held up his hands in the air. "...Literally." he said, as the ground beneath the two heroes started to shake. "A quake...?" Esni asked, as he tried to regain balance. "Fall... This is the last of the city, and without it, you will have nowhere to stand... Fall in to this glorious hell..." Rein shouted, as the final bits of the stone city started to fall.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Hehe, Rein can't feel pain lawl. Also, since you said the bolt hit his shoulder I'll specify that he has no armor, because nothing imaginable could even dent it. I could also say that he acted as though he were in pain, as it would go with the games that he plays. If ever you are interested you can read his bio in my sig.

BiC: "He's sending us to Inscarem!" Esni shouted as he let Rein's words pass through his head. Fall in to this glorious hell... "Redrick, we have to get out of here! He's toying with us, that guy can move at over three times the speed of light if he wanted to. Your bolt only struck him because he wanted you to feel like you could do something... something he does to everyone before he ends their existence. The ground still falling beneath them, Esni's words fell on ears brimming with too much anger to hear anything.

"I don't care how powerful this guy is, I'll kill him!" the man shouted as he began to fire several bolts into Rein, piercing his flesh a dozen times in the solarplexus. The demon let out a gasp as blood funneled down his cloak and he began to fall out of the air. "I got him!" Redrick shouted, feeling as though he had defied fate itself. Esni stared at the falling figure in the cloak, amazed at the power in Redrick's bolts that could pierce the Boraku Armor. But then his thoughts were proven correct, as he saw that there was no armor at all beneath the cloak: another cheap trick!

"Redrick, we have to go, you have done nothing to him!" Esni yelled, pulling on the man's shoulder. Instead of saying something, Redrick just nodded and went along, knowing that they had no time to stall; the entire platform would soon hit the planar barrier. Esni beckoned Redrick over to the souther area of the platform, yelling something about a portal. With that, the warrior and prodigy dashed into the pitch black dome in the southern area of the platform. It was the only building still left intact to the point where no light was able to get in.

Suddenly, a flux of luminescence flooded the half-circle dome and Rein stood before them, unharmed and in a regal suit of what looked like light armor. In his hands was a bue bow with a massive aura, and stuck in the ground in front of him was a red blade with a similar aura.

"That thing you shot back there wasn't even me, it was a clone that I sent in to test your arrogance," Rein laughed. "Now which should I kill you with? The bow that tears apart any dimension it is shot in, or the blade that slayed the Creator of Silronia? It is your choice."

"They choose life!" came a voice from behind as a tall man with a long, majestic spear walked in the back entrance.

"Luce!" Esni yelled as he recognized the man immediately.

"Let's see how your 'invulnerability' fares against the spear that can never break, let's see which gives out first, let's see the power of Shareyu versus the power of Aeria!" Luce yelled as he charged in forward with his spear outstretched and pointed at Rein's head.

"Tch, still you have no gratitude for when I spared your life, oh well. You'll see how inferior you are!"

...All hope faded from the three mens' hearts as the tip of the spear met with the bare skin on the Undying Evil's forehead. The loudest shattering sound that any of them could imagine resonated through the entire dome and the city outside as the spear shattered at the tip and the wood down to the handle splintered, the pieces flying all over the ground. It had been decided that escape was the only choice left, as fighting this monster would lead to all of their deaths...

What they had forgotten, though, was that the great Wyrm of the Vayebyss awaited them outside the dome.

OoC: I had Luce sense Rein's presence in one of my other battles, so this is kinda like after that when he actually comes to help them. ^^;;

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Yeah, no wonder he's too powerful for this site. Playing that guy's basically playing God mode. Anyway, since I was gone for a week, you still want that other thread ressurected, or not?

BiC:

"Esni. You start running, and I'll summon Níðhöggr. He'll distract the wyrm, and I'll start running away after I summon him." Redrick said to Esni. Esni nodded, and started to run. After Esni ran off in to the distance, Redrick crossed his wrists, and shouted, "Níðhöggr!" The fiery creature arose from an inter-dimensional portal, and flew towards the wyrm. Níðhöggr, hold out for a while. We're going to need you to endure... Redrick thought, as he ran away.

Níðhöggr was circling around the wyrm, flying rapidly. The wyrm fired several large blasts at it's opponent, but Níðhöggr was moving rapidly, dodging any attacks. After several minutes had passed, the wyrm fired a large blast of energy, wounding Níðhöggr. However, as the fiery serpent began to disentegrate, it fired a large blast of fire at the area surrounding the dome. This caused several large chunks of debris to fall around the area, stalling the wyrm.

Redrick ran extremely fast, trying to catch up with Esni. He finally caught sight of Esni, and joined up with him. "Now... How're we supposed to get out of here?" Redrick asked.

OoC: Sorry for the short post. Ran out of stuff to say.

Re: Vestiges of Rein Aeria (Andross)

OoC: Heh, he's actually a character from my story, so I didn't weaken him down there because I wanted a complete bio for him that didn't leave things out. Also, I'll do a short post to so that I can get back to my other battle where the minimum post is 2 pages ^^;;

BiC: "Well, that thing might be stalled, but if Rein really wanted to he could make it get through faster, so we'll need some help," Esni explained when Redrick had caught up. They continued running through the falling debris, the one piece of the city that had withstood the initial assault was now falling with the rest. Many of the other platforms had already hit the planar barrier and were now less than dust in the wind. Also, Luce was nowhere in sight.

"Well, what can we use to speed up?" came Luce's voice from behind as he landed in front of them at an acute angle that suggested that he had jumped out of the collapsing dome.

"I will use my wind element to force the wind beneath us and allow us to fly at very high speeds, even break the sound barrier," Esni said, placing his hands together to summon the wind. "I'll have to control the wind, so you guys just have to balance yourselves." The other two men nodded.

"I actually brought help wi-" Luce began, but was almost swept off his feet before he could finish. "Argh, I meant to say that I brought a friend along with me. She is an elf who Rein has apparently been stalking. We have to get her out of here before this place falls!"

"Then to rescue her we shall go!"
