Darkness (Zorolo)

The sound of thunder rumbled in the distance, the smell of rain already in the air. A storm was coming and would hit the village within the hour. Heavy storm clouds slowly rolled through the night’s sky, pulled by strong winds all toward the same destination.

The village of Brayre was where the storm was headed, a peaceful town with little need for guards or police, yet still they had their few defenses just in case the worst should happen. It was a very small village that would go unnoticed by most, but the storm wasn’t the only thing visiting Brayre this night.

The weak were always the first to go in times of darkness. Strong and powerful cities held their ground with pride, strength and fear keeping their society in line. However, the smaller and more innocent cities died easy and without much thought. Brayre was a weak city.

A simple looking traveler arrived in Brayre that night: An old woman the age of ninety riding on horseback. She wore a red cloak, her hood tied tightly around her head. She knew the storm was coming, and she needed a place to rest. Or, that is what the people of Brayre thought.

The gatekeepers let the lady in, as they would kindly do to anyone of her elderly stature. She nodded and smiled as the men in rags welcomed her warmly. She rode on without saying a word, and made her way toward the nearest inn.

She slowed to a stop just outside the inn’s doors, walking inside as she removed her hood. The inn keeper acknowledged her entrance with a warm smile and nod. The lady nodded in response as she approached the front desk. An eye from the corner of the room landed on the old woman, sensing something in the lady but remaining still.

“Well hello miss, shall I book you a room or are you just here for the drinks?” The inn keeper laughed. He pulled out his pad and paper.

The old woman cleared her throat. “I’m just here to get something to eat.” She said simply.

The inn keeper nodded. “Alright then, I will need to know your name.” the inn keeper dipped his pen in his ink and prepared to write.

The wrinkled woman raised an eyebrow, leaning closer to the man behind the counter.
“Sirius Amon Moris.”

The inn keeper’s eyes widened, dropping the paper to the ground. He looked up in shock at the lady, only she wasn’t an old lady anymore. A tall figure shrouded in darkness hovered before him; a black smoke of some sort seemed to float through his very essence. His eyes pierced the darkness of his hood and the very souls of everyone in the room. His true voice cracked for the first time, speaking to the man for the last time. “Prepare yourself for this will be most painful.”

He struck.

Sin smirked as the sound of metal striking metal echoed through the room. “I was wondering when you would make your first move,” Sin’s eyes rolled around the sword that blocked his hand, following it up a pair of arms to its wielder. “I almost thought you were going to let this man die.”

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

The aura master looked upon the creature that had emerged. "So you’re Sin eh? This is going to be fun," the fencer of Tasogare spoke, pushing the God of darkness’s hands back. The creature floated idly, watching the swordsman, totally unfazed by his sudden entrance. The green haired man pointed his sword at the creature and stood up, brushing a piece of his green hair behind his ear with his right hand. "Let’s see what you've got," the swordsman told the dark being, who still seemed rather unfazed by his entrance. Master, are you sure I can defeat this creature? The aura master telepathically asked the God he was a hero for and the warrior that had trained him whence he was younger.

It is hard to say Zorlo, Cenarius, God of the druids and forests told the youth. With the remembrance of his full power, Sirius is a strong foe and it will be hard to say if you can conquer him.

What is he master? The swordsman asked shakily.

He, Zorlo, is the God of darkness, locked in the sun for eons before he was finally released. All was well during that time, but he did break free eventually; when he returned to earth, his memory had been erased, but his old ways were still strong in him; however, this did not last forever. Thanks to Gorin, the God of Wrath, his full power was remembered and he is now far stronger then he was. Be careful, my apprentice, The Neko fencer, Kurenkento, informed the young fencer who readied himself to fight this most powerful foe.

Great, the green clothed man told himself, My battles with Lhaeo, the master of elements; and Gorin, the God of Wrath, both ended with them walking away, and this guy seems even more evil then Gorin. This could be very annoying, the blade master told himself, moving to the side slightly, trying to figure out how to strike at the monster that stood before him.

Suddenly, the dark creatures arm moved at the fencer, who quickly moved his sword and deflected the dark God's arm. The creature of pure evil was undeterred and quickly thrust his other at the green haired fighter, who moved again, this time knocking the monster's hand towards the ground. Sin held no sign of anything from what the fencer could sense, but the aura master knew that this man would not simply toy around with him forever. "Ready to die, little mortal?" The God of Darkness asked.

"You should be asking yourself that question," the aura master told the Dark God confidently, the fencer still had a good deal of tricks of his own to show this monster.

OoC: Good first post Quark, and this shall be most fun.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

The inn’s bar was aroused in noise and soon everyone but the two warriors fled. The sound of thunder rolled closer, only overpowered by the growing sounds of screams. The God of Darkness ignored the running civilians, they couldn’t get far even if they left the village; he would just have to track them down.

Sin eyed this man from foot to green hair. He didn’t seem like much of a threat, although his sword fascinated him. Even with Sin’s own blades, he was sure he wouldn’t be able to precisely replicate such a design. Still unconvinced he wouldn’t need his blades for this battle Sirius lunged at the boy as he flailed his armored claws.

Zorlo jumped back and lashed the fiend’s claws to the side. He returned it with a slash of his own, but it was dodged without much effort. Sin shook his head at the feeble attempts. He lifted two tables from the floor, one in each hand; then tossed them toward his target still trying to test this boy’s strength.

Zorlo ducked the first, then swung his mighty blade through the second, severing it in half. He regained his fighting stance quickly; trying to determine the monster’s erratic fighting style.

Sin could tell this boy was a skilled fencer, but he wondered if he held any other sort of skills. His beam-like eyes searched the fencer. He could sense a great power within him, yet he was hesitating to use it for some reason.

Zorlo decided his next move. He jumped forward, leaping off the first table as he began swinging his sword. The blade passed harmlessly over Sin’s head as he ducked it with ease. Simultaneously, Sin thrust forward his fist toward the green haired boy’s stomach. Zorlo saw his strike, throwing himself backward just in time.

“Come boy,” ordered the dark figure. “Don’t play games with me. I know you hold great power, but you’re not using it.”

This boy had darkness somewhere in his heart, almost like a deceased vengeance how it poisons an avenger’s heart. Something inside him that was thrown away long ago was still inside him somewhere. Something that Sin knew would have given him great power. Power was something the dark god could use. He could devour this boys mind now, but that untapped power within him would be lost forever. He would test this boy for this strength instead; the city of Brayre would have to die another time.

Sin watched the young man grit his teeth in concentration, tightening his grip on his sword. The boy knew he was up against a great power, but he just didn’t understand how powerful Sin was. The boy reminded him a lot of the Rune girl, Tayler. She was confident in herself, yet at the same time she knew she was fighting something dangerous when she fought him. Sin cleared the thoughts of the battle from his head, his shame catching up to him. How could he have been so weak at that encounter? Tayler used some sort of light based attack on him and defeated him with such ease. Light based attacks wouldn’t work on him now, but still Sin wished he had his current power at the time he fought her. Now she was gone and lost somewhere in the vast world. He would find her again, and when he did he would use her to find the other two Rune children. When that would happen, he would devour their power and become unstoppable.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Suddenly, the aura master smiled, slightly loosening his grip upon his blade as he stared upon the dark creature; the fencer relaxed himself, now that the people were gone, he could fight at his potential and not have to worry about someone getting hurt in the process. To Zorlo, this was a battle of good vs. evil, it was as simple as that, and could be no easier. This dark creature, Sin, was very strong, but the hero could hold his own against other strong foes, but the fencer had no sense of how strong his current foe was; the aura master pointed the tip of his rapier at his foe, readying to strike again, but the dark creature showed no signs of anything; he held no hatred, no sorrow, only a great, stirring evil that seemed to radiate off of him.

It didn't take long for the God to get bored and decide he needed to fight, and quickly and remorselessly, the fiend struck at the young fencer, swiping his dark claws at the warrior. The fencer deflected the claws with his sword as best he could, but the God of Darkness was both fast and ruthless; the fencer deflected the monster's right claw with a quick parry, but soon found the left one had driven into his chest, or to be more specific, his armor. The sharp clang as the claw crashed into the swordsman's armor was noticeable and loud, but the fencer did not flinch, instead looking up at the dark creature.

"Nicely done," the fencer told him, making a quick swipe at the God's arm, but his sword only seemed to pass right through Sin's arm as the dark beast pulled his arm back. "How do you like my armor?" The aura master asked, five claw marks were visible in the cloth that covered his armor, but his armor itself was barely damaged by the claws the beast had. "Let me see if I can hurt you," the fencer said as he began to gather his aura around his sword, calling the air around him around his sword, creating a pale green around the otherwise golden blade of the sword. "Air Slash!" The green haired man roared as he swung his sword vertically and threw the air wave towards the dark monster that stood not far from him.

Sirius watched as the air wave drew closer and held his hands in front of him, stopping the air wave, but sliding back as he did so. Suddenly, the God of Darkness pushed his claws in across, cutting through the weakened Air Slash. The dark creature suddenly struck, thrust his claw at the fencer who, startled as he was, dodged to the side as the monster's claw crashed through the counter, and the fencer, taking advantage of the situation threw an Air Slash at the creature. The air wave ran quickly towards the dark monster, who turned to see it as it was almost upon him.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Ooc: I'm still trying to get back into the Battle Arena thing for being gone for a while, so please tell me if I'm being over controlling of your character.

Bic:

Sin was caught off guard by the sudden attack. He flew to the side, just barely avoiding the gust of wind as the blast crashed into the tables behind him. The dark God kept his eye on the fencer. He realized that now he was getting serious, this fight might be a bit more exciting then he first thought. Before anything else could happen, he needed to make a bit more room. Sin cupped his hands together as he prepared his attack. “You might want to hold onto something.” His dark voice warned sarcastically. A slight breeze seemed to suck everything toward the dark figure. He seemed to be gathering energy for something quite powerful. A black lightning formed in Sin’s arms, crackling through his claws and up his arms. Soon, his entire body was resonating with the dark element.

Zorlo had to defend himself quick. He ducked behind an overturned table, holding his buckler out in front of him for extra defense. The sound of the crackling lightning screeched through the air, deafening out all other noise. Finally, everything went silent. Sin shot his arms toward the ceiling as a beam of black lightning tore through the upper floors of the inn, battering a wide hole to the dark sky above.

Sirius lowered his arms as the black lightning was already being cancelled. The ceiling began to give in, the structural support of the inn giving away. Sin turned his head to the sky and flew up and out of the building with ease. Zorlo stood back to his feet, confused as to why he suddenly retreated. A scream outside made him think otherwise. Zorlo knocked the inn door open, outside was his enemy. The dark being put the green haired boy’s teeth on edge; he must have already killed several people.

Sin tossed a human skull around in his hand, seeing Zorlo exit the crumpling building. “Ah, there you are.” He smirked; throwing the skull into its owner’s decapitated body lying at his feet. Zorlo quickly glanced down at the mangled corpse, but kept his full attention on the monster. Sin’s right arm rose to his side, level with his shoulders. “Let’s see your fencing skills.” A long serrated blade escaped his dark sleeve, the hilt landing smoothly in his armored palm. Slashing the blade twice through the air, he pointed his blade outward toward Zorlo. He stood motionlessly. Zorlo held his position, waiting for the Dark God to make his next move.

Sin tilted his head to the side, letting go of his sword. “Fly.” He whispered. The blade took off like an arrow, directly for Zorlo’s chest. The fencer lifted his blade and parried the first strike, then the second, then the third. Sin’s sword was moving by itself. It was a bit difficult to fight because there was no person wielding the sword, yet Zorlo managed with his great skill.

Sin pulled out his second sword and flew toward the flying sword and the fencer. He raised his blade and began to fight as his other sword seemed to fight on its own. Zorlo parried the first two slashes, but just barely dodged the third. He jumped back a few feet, swinging his blade for another air slash. The gust of wind knocked Sin’s floating blade from the sky; Sirius reached out his hand in response. Before the sword hit the ground, it sucked itself directly into Sin’s awaiting hand. Spinning his dual blades, he leapt at the awaiting swordsman.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

His swords fight on their own! The fencer thought worried. This is nuts, but at least now he is actually wielding them, the Aura Master told himself as he watched the dark being holding his two swords, ready to fight the fencer in combat. This guy is extremely strong; his power to make dark elements and attack with his swords without them being in his hands are interesting, but we'll see how long he can hold up with me, the swordsman told himself as he spun his rapier in his hand and then pointed it at the dark being. The fencer removed his buckler and took his combat ready stance, getting ready to charge.

The fencer charged with all speed as he looked into the glowing white eyes of Sin. The dark creature moved his left arm slightly, ready to block the fencer's attack; the green haired man leapt into the air and suddenly threw down an Air Slash upon his foe, cut it down with his sword. As the fencer shot down at the dark creature, he swung his blade down upon the being of ultimate evil. The evil one sword clashed with the golden blade of the fencer, and the dark one spun his right sword around and quickly swung it the warriors head, but the fencer ducked and rolled back, quickly thrusting his sword at the dark beast. The blade and the fencer passed harmlessly through the evil creature as the Aura Master stumbled forwards.

"What the heck?" The fencer asked as he looked at the monster. "The hell just happened?!"

The creature merely laughed at the fencer and took a ready sword stance, intent on fighting on with the swordsman. The green haired man charged again, this time in a ground attack, again throwing an Air Slash as he charged.

The God of Darkness quickly swung his left sword to the left and cut through the Air Slash with ease as the golden blade of the swordsman neared. Sirius moved his right sword forwards, the flat of the blade looking the fencer in the face as he thrust and his sword bounced off of the black blade of the dark master. The fencer stepped back as Sirius swung his left sword down at the fencer, who guarded with his rapier, but the Aura Master was pushed to his knees by the attack. Sirius pointed his second sword at the fencer and thrust it at the fencer, who slid his golden sword to the right, moving his body and his foe's sword out of the way. The fencer leapt quickly and kicked the monster in the head, throwing him back slightly.

"So, you can be hit there, can you!" The Aura Master's realization had been a breakthrough, now there may have been a chance to defeat this God of Darkness. The fencer moved his sword in front of him and readied himself for round two. "Let's go!" The fencer yelled out, ready to fight Sin now that he knew his weak spot.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

The dark figure rolled his head around his shoulders, taunting the fencer. “Congratulations, you know where to hit me now.” He chuckled softly. His hands began to vibrate as a small red flame began to form in them. “But because you know where to hit me, doesn’t mean you will.” He finished with a smirk, intentionally trying to arouse some sort of emotion in his opponent.

Zorlo ignored his words, but instead tried to focus on a plan to hit his head. It would be a bit easier now, but again it could be harder. Sin will be more wary of his head now and would be sure he wouldn’t get near it, that’s why his next hit would have to count.

Sin hovered in the air, back and forth. The sounds of people screaming and running echoed in the background, but he had to ignore them for now; he would put them out of their misery later.

Thunder illuminated the sky. It crackled twice again before a soft rain began to fall, growing in intensity until it was pouring hard, the perfect conditions for elemental attacks. A fourth flash of light illuminated the sky, and with that Sin was gone.

“What?” Zorlo gasped, blinking the rain from his eyes. He realized that Sin was much faster than he thought. His ears perked up to the sound of running feet behind him. He wheeled himself around on one foot and prepared to strike, but instead of the Darkness God, it was just an old man fleeing the site. Zorlo’s eyes widened when he realized what happened, he spun again to where Sin was originally and swiped his blade through the sky, lashing through two boulders. The rocks burst into sand and rained into his hair, but again Sin wasn’t there.

“Strike three,” a familiar voice hissed into his ear. His back felt a sudden pain and he was flung forward, tumbling head over heels through the muddy rain. He caught sight of the same old man that he overlooked before as he rolled, morphing back into the God of Darkness. Zorlo squinted his eyes in annoyance before slamming into the wall of a house. He groaned in pain, rolling to his hands and knees. “You’re out.” Sin finished. He bared his golden teeth for the first time, amused by the fencer’s shocked reaction.

Sin shook his head as he walked toward the fencer sprawled out on the ground. “Hey, don’t feel bad, I have over a hundred thousand years of experience.” He stopped walking directly in front of the sword master as he finished, “In fact, I’ve had all of eternity.”

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

"That's nice," Zorlo said, laughing as he looked up and thrust his sword up; the demon floated back, avoiding the strike, but the fencer pushed on, swiping his sword at the monster with great speed as the demon moved his claws to defend himself from the Aura Master's strikes.

The Darkness God was not amused by the fencer's attacks, his golden teeth flashed brightly against the cracks of thunder, his black hood dripping slightly from the rain. The creature pushed his hands forwards, and the golden blade of the fencer and the claws of the dark creature's clashed, sparking as the two forces pushed. The golden teeth of the creature were easily the only thing, aside from Sin's eyes, that gave away where he was. "You think you are strong, but you'll wind up like the many before you," it stated cockily.

"The many before me weren't champions of Gods, were they!" The fencer retorted, pushing his sword and pushing the God of Darkness back. Suddenly, the green haired man's body began to emanate a green flame from it; the Aura Master had summoned his aura into a physical form around the warrior and the fencer was not going to let Sirius push him around. "I'm not any normal human, I've been sent here to purge your darkness from the world. If I lose, I damn the whole world to the fate you have brought upon so many people!" The fencer roared as he charged, his emerald aura still surrounding him, the fencer fighting at his fullest power, aside from summoning his Ancient Aura, he would save that for later.

The Dark God moved forward at an insane speed suddenly, but the fencer was ready, moving at a speed that was astounding, albeit still less then Sin's. The clang of metal, the sparks of the clashes, and the quick flashes of the warriors as they turned to strike again made the scene unlike anything that the people of the city had ever seen, but suddenly, something broke the clash as the words, "Aura Slash," were heard, and a green energy blade flew through the air and slammed into the death bringer's head, throwing him to the ground.

Just then, the fencer stood before Sin, still covered in his emerald aura, still in the appearance of flame, pointing his golden rapier at the God. "You are powerful, but I am not going to lose. You are an impressive foe, but your arrogance and overconfidence are what shall bring about your downfall," the swordsman told the dark monster as the fencer smiled.

Sin still smiled as he held up his hands, and suddenly, dark thunder shot into the fencer's chest and threw him backwards through the wall of a building. The dark creature rose, flexing his dark claws, readying them for another attack. His golden teeth and his white lights that he called eyes glowed violently in the thunder in the background.

The Aura Master grabbed the shattered wooden wall and pulled himself from the rubble, his aura was still glowing around him. His green eyes were filled with determination and desire; he would fulfill what he had been sent there to accomplish.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Sin hadn’t received an attack like that one in a long time. It was painful, yet he enjoyed it. He hadn’t felt such a thrill since he last battled Gorin. There was one thing that took away from the excitement, however, and that was because Sin knew he wasn’t going to die this night. He decided that he had played around with this guy enough and learned all he wanted from his attacks. Now he would get serious; he hadn’t even unleashed his most commonly used attack yet.

Sin lifted himself off his feet, flying toward the fencer who had already begun to stand to his feet once again. He was glowing like a lantern with a green light, an odd attribute but one that hinted at power. Sin threw a fist toward his opponent, a ball of water forming in the rain hurtling toward the warrior. He jumped to the side without much trouble. His movements weren’t hindered much by that last attack.

Sin stopped moving forward, hovering stationary about a meter off the ground. “So he does have power,” Sirius nodded in approval, but still a look of disappointment lingered in his eyes. “Yet your power still lacks what it’s truly capable of.”

Zorlo dashed toward the dark warrior once again, his sword flailing through the air. Sin began flying backward at the same speed, just out of his sword’s reach. “Let me show you true power.” Sin’s hands began to glow black. Just like light would it cast itself on the objects around it, but instead it absorbed light instead of creating it. It was a spectacle to behold in one’s eye, but Zorlo didn’t have time to marvel at anything.

The green haired man swung his sword at Sin’s head once again. This time the Dark God’s hands blocked the blade. Unlike his other defenses, this one was different. A blast of a dark colored flame exploded from Sin’s hands, throwing Zorlo and his sword backward. His blade nearly left his grasp as he buckled backward, but he managed to hold onto his weapon through his pain. The blast was nearly a direct hit, but it only caught his left arm. He spun and twirled several times before he connected with the ground once more. He gritted his teeth as he slid to a halt, but before he even stopped sliding he moved himself onto his knees. His arm was burning, even in the heavy rain. Zorlo rubbed his burning arm in a puddle of water, but it didn’t help much. He quickly removed the armor on his left arm, seeing that the fire wasn’t going out.

Zorlo jumped back to his feet and charged Sin once again; thankfully, his green aura was still glowing. He wasn’t ready to give up just yet.

Sin stopped in the air to a hovering position. He waited for the right moment to attack again. Zorlo came at him fast head long, and then jumped toward him. His blade spun through the air as he swung diagonally with a strong air slash. But before he even finished the move, Sin raised his hand. From his palm a black ball of fire erupted, zipping through Zorlo’s airslash and into his chest. The airslash continued its path, but Sin moved just in time for it to pass harmlessly through his chest. Zorlo crashed into the ground again, but he wasn’t even close to done. Just like he said before, he was no ordinary human.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

The dark flame that had engulfed Zorlo's arm had stopped when the fencer had ripped off the cloth sleeve of his jacket and cast it away. The left handed warrior's good arm was damaged, true enough, but he was determined to win, and tightened his grip around his sword as best he could. His hand tingled in pain, seeing as the flames had burned his hand rather badly, but he would fight through this pain. His eyes blinked, and he looked upon the dark creature floated only feet away.

The God of Darkness' eyes gazed down at the Aura Master, who was standing again, ready to fight; the god laughed at the fencer's feeble attempts to defeat him, and seemed rather bored with the attempts the fencer was making. The dark creature flexed his hands; his sharp claws were ready to taste blood. The demon struck at an insane speed, one that even the swordsman would have had a hard time following.

The green aura of the fencer covered his left hand again; the energy growing stronger then ever as the demon watched. Although Zorlo could feel his hand burning, this did not stop him from pushing forwards, ready to fight to the death; since the monster had began pushing forwards, the Aura Master did the same, holding his sword tightly as he did so as yet again, the two fighters exchanged a series of blows. The monster's claws moved fast, and the fencer's rapier moved at a speed equal, keeping the swordsman on the defensive.

The Darkness God's hands suddenly gathered more water into his right hand as he fended off the swordsman's blade with his left, and suddenly fired the water ball at the fencer's chest, throwing him to the ground and causing the fencer to roll backwards. The dark monster floated towards the fencer, holding out his hand, extending it towards the human's head, trying to steal from the swordsman his brain. The claw slowly approached the fencer, the golden teeth of the demon shined as the evil claw drew closer to the fencer.

The Aura Master's green energy began to grow brighter, and then the swordsman made his move, throwing another Aura Slash at the demon, hitting him in the head and throwing him backwards a bit. The claw moved on its own towards the fencer who moved himself up and deflected the claw and thrust his sword at the God of Darkness, who moved his other claw and deflected the blade, then swinging his claw and slashing at the fencer's back, scraping along his armor. Zorlo smiled as he turned and kicked the demon in the head and throwing him floating through a house, head first.

The fencer landed on his feet and looked at the building the demon had been thrown through; the damaged the fencer had done was bad, but hopefully it had done the trick. The fencer kept his green aura activated, keeping both a light source and to maintain his highest natural state. "I know you aren't beaten yet, so let us continue," the fencer commanded, pointing his golden blade at the God of Darkness.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

For a moment Sin gave up on the boy, thinking that he was too weak to enrage his inner power so instead he tried to eat his mind, but somehow the boy still was able to fight strong. Maybe his second judgment of the fencer was wrong, so he went back to his original plan. He would take the warrior down, give him something; then return to him again another time to see how he had progressed.

Sin climbed from the wreckage, but found himself a passenger along the way. A cry for help rattled from the wrecked home. Zorlo’s eyes widened in worry seeing that Sin wasn’t alone. In his right hand, a young man of about thirty screamed and kicked from being held only by his head. Zorlo wished there was some way for him to help, but he knew that no matter what he did Sin’s hand was too fast for his own feet.

“Let me teach you something, fencer.” Sin began, lifting the stranger’s head to his eyelevel. “See this man?” he asked without much care. Zorlo didn’t say anything, but he felt like killing the beast right there. Seeing that he had Zorlo’s attention, the Dark God clenched his right hand so hard it crushed the back of the man’s skull. A short wail for help escaped his raspy throat, but faded away into the soft whisper of his dead lungs releasing the remaining air the man once held inside himself. Sin held his lifeless body a few more seconds, sucking the remaining intelligence from his limp corpse. When he was done, he let the corpse fall to the floor.

“Ahh, now I feel much better.” The Dark God smirked, rising farther off the ground. His hands began to seer with lightning as he prepared his next move.

Zorlo couldn’t take this monster much longer, it didn’t deserve to live the way it killed people without thought. “How could you be so evil--“

“--evil?” Sin cut him off, laughing at his words. “Evil?” he laughed again. “In my view, the entire human race is ‘evil.’” Sin dropped from hovering in the sky, crashing his feet into the earth. He slowly walked toward Zorlo, his teeth now hidden in the darkness of his hood. “That man,” He said, pointing to the mangled corpse of a man he just killed without even having to look back at him. “That man was evil. He had been cheating on his wife with several women for two years before he snuck out one night with the woman of his dreams. Even after that, he wasn’t satisfied and left that woman for yet another.” Sin’s blades left his sleeves and again were gripped firmly in his armored hands. “All had to do was pluck one human from a hat, and instantly can see that that man’s sins are only forgivable by death.”

Zorlo raised his blade, ready for the battle to continue. “One man’s deeds cannot speak for an entire race.”

The dual swords in Sirius’ hands began to glow with the familiar blackness he used before as he spoke. “Every human I’ve devoured has had a similar past,” Sin smirked, “whether it’s lying, cheating, raping, killing, stealing, or vengeance, all of them horrible sins that I’ve treated with an execution.” His swords burst into the familiar loathsome black flames, floating from his hands to either side of himself. “You see, Zorlo, evil is all around you and you don’t even see it.” Sin finished, using the fencer’s name for the first time.

Zorlo’s eyes flashed in the lightning, “How did you know--“

“--Your name?” Sin smirked as he cut him off again. “I’ve apparently devoured the mind of someone who once knew you, because you seem a bit familiar to me.” Ending the conversation with those words, his blades darted toward the fencer as the prepared to strike. Sin jumped in after his swords, taking on his opponent from three sides. Once he had this boy beaten, he would leave him for a while, but return another time to see how far he had progressed.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Zorlo watched the sword to his left and the sword to his right, along with the monster in front of him; all of them struck at once, with lightning speed the fencer could barely follow. The Aura Master moved quickly, deflecting the left sword quickly and guarding the right one as a sharp claw drove into the fencer's right side, in his armor clanged loudly as the demon moved back slightly. The fencer repelled the flaming sword and moved at the demon, who watched him attack and raised his claws, stopping the golden blade from cutting into the demon's head.

"I don't know whom you could have killed that knew me, demon," the fencer told him, shocked more then anything. "Know this, I will defeat you," the fencer said as he pushed his blade down, but quickly jumped back as the two flaming swords flew at him. The two black blades flew through Sin, who looked at the swordsman who landed and slid back on his heels. This guy is good, Zorlo told himself, tightening his grip upon his sword. But I won't lose, I can't let this man go about what he is doing, no matter how evil man is! The fencer told himself bravely.

The two flaming swords flew around to the Darkness God's sides, floating, ready to strike again. Sirius flexed his metal claws, readying them to attack again at the sword fighter who stood ready to hold his ground. The swords suddenly struck again at a high speed, swiping at the evading swordsman fiercely as the dark creature watched from the white lights that stood out ot be his eyes.

The swordsman parried, dodged and struck back at the two swords that attacked him fiercely; the fencer gathered energy into his sword, making it glow a brilliant green color as the fencer fended off the powerful swords that the dark god used as he slowly floated towards the fencer. The Aura Master jumped back and smiled as he spun in midair and swung his sword in a vertical arc, throwing an energy wave at the powerful foe. "Aura Slash," the fencer said as the blade moved past the swords with such force that it threw them back.

The two black blades flames vanished as the blade past and continued towards the Dark God, who dodged the blade at the last minute, just to prove a point. As Sin floated past his swords, which floated into his hands and he held them tightly. He spun his swords, looking down at the fencer, and was ready to fight. The dark warrior began swinging his swords at the fencer at high speeds, but the swordsman quickly blocked and parried the swords, holding them off with the best of his ability.

The Aura Master's green aura was growing stronger; the emerald flames moved around the swordsman's body powerfully and the fencer's sword was covered in the green flames that surrounded his body, making his power seem to grow. The fencer pushed back the swords of the dark god, and slowly pushed towards the dark creature away, and finally the fencer made his push, jumping up and swinging his sword down.

Sin crossed his swords and guarded the attack, but he fencer threw an Aura Slash as he attacked, hitting the demon in the head and throwing him back, releasing his swords in the process. Sin's head hit the ground and he thrust his claws into the ground. The claws dragged along the ground, slowing the God of Darkness to a stop; he rose up and looked upon the fencer, still showing nothing aside from the white lights he called eyes and the black figure he was.

The Aura Master pointed his golden sword at the dark creature, but his green aura was slowly fading away from around him. He took a deep breath, trying to hold onto the power he had summoned for just a little longer, but his natural energy was drawing towards its end. The time was drawing near, he would have to use the Ancient Aura, but there may have been some time, perhaps the fencer could bring down the monster before that became necessary.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Sin was growing more interested in this man’s skill by the minute. The green aura that seemed to hang around him was the main thing that interested him. The force seemed to give him great power, making an excellent emergency ability Sin would be able to use if he were able to wield it. But he wasn’t exactly sure if this power came directly from his opponent, or from an external force. If he were to devour his brains, he would risk a chance of losing this power, but on the other hand he would discover where it came from, but only if Zorlo himself knew that.

Sin already had his plan set anyway, so he decided to fall through with it. He thrust forward both his palms toward his target, trying for a slightly different move. The ground in front of him rippled slightly then tore itself from the earth as it slowly began to raise itself off the ground. Zorlo realized the size of the rock was far too big to defend with his sword, but it didn’t matter because the rock below him started to rise as well. A small platform raised both himself and Sin off the ground higher and higher into the sky. Lightning boomed overhead, growing closer to them as they rose toward it through the air. Finally, the rock stopped moving and halted in the middle of the sky. Sin seemed to be holding it in the sky with his elemental abilities.

Sin’s face remained emotionless as he kept his eyes on the boy. All around them lightning crashed, striking dangerously close to the platform each time it flashed. Sin’s blades left his hands, floating on either side of him. “Let’s try this again.” The beast bellowed.

Sin knew that if somehow he were defeated, the block of earth would fall from the sky and possibly kill this fencer. Unless he could sprout wings and fly, there was no way he could survive. Sin dropped himself from the sky and onto the platform, creating a small cloud of dust and rock. As he did so, he breached his hands into the floating earth at the same time. He slowly pulled them back out as he held two brown colored swords made from the earth. His swords struck again toward the fencer, this time both behind him. Zorlo turned to parry, but knew Sin was coming at his back with his newly formed blades.

Sin narrowed his eyes as he leapt at the fencer, swinging both his blades horizontally as his floating swords attacked from the other side vertically. He didn’t have as much energy at disposal as before having to keep the platform of ground afloat as he fought, but he would have enough.

Zorlo twisted toward the oncoming Dark God and whipped his blade through the air with another air slash. The blades behind him struck into his back armor, piercing it and embedding in the surface of his skin underneath. Even though he was hit, his air slash was successful. Sin’s head got hit, blowing him backward through the air and toward the clouds, but at the same time he tossed both his blades in Zorlo’s legs controlling the earth element still inside them.

The platform gave way suddenly, Sin losing his concentration from the attack. With nothing to crash into he quickly regained balance in the air and faced the floating rock once again, quickly catching its fall with his earth element abilities.

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

As the two blades pierced into the Aura Master's back, he lost some concentration, but his Air Slash had been successful, wounding the annoying God of Darkness; the demon launched his earth elemented swords at the fencer, who soon found them cutting into the fencer's armored upper thighs, causing less damage, but still causing pain to course through him as he fell from the rock platform the dark god had summoned. The green eyes of the fencer watched as the demon descended towards the ground, happy to see that this creature would finally get what it deserved, but what of the fencer?

The green haired man spiraled down towards the ground, his green aura finally flickered away into nothing; his eyes were nearly devoid of all life, seeing as four swords had pierced his body, but he knew he could hold on, he just needed a little more time. As the fencer fell, his life began to flash before his eyes, but a voice cut off the visions as he continued to plummet towards the earth. Don't die! A female voice cried out. Zorlo's eyes closed and then snapped open again; his eyes were filled with life again, and something had saved him from the approaching death that seemed to be drawing ever closer to him.

"Selene..." His voice spoke her name as death drew closer; his time grew shorter and shorter as he fell from through the air, and the only thing he thought about was her. Selene, forgive me, he told himself, his eyes now facing the ground as he descended like a bullet. Lightning rained down with great fury, rain struck the ground like falling leaves and the green embodiment of, what some called, good fell between the two, the boundary between destruction and peace.

Then you will just leave her? The voice of Cenarius echoed through the swordsman's head as timed seem to slow as he fell. After all of the battle you've given this god, you are just going to roll over and die and let him walk away. Perhaps I was mistaken to make you my hero... The god's booming voice told the fencer.

Yes... And never did I think I'd see the day you would just give up on yourself and allow something to be unfinished, the fencer's master, Kurenkento told him.

Un... Finished?!

Yes Zorlo, unfinished. If you die here, Sin will continue to live and destroy far more then just you. Whence he eats your brain, he will hunt down those you love. You MUST stop him! The Neko demigod ordered.

I will not allow that! The Aura Master stated to himself as a pair of golden wings suddenly emerged from his, allowing him to land softly on the ground. "I will destroy you this day," the fencer told Sin. "You will harm none ever again," the fencer commented in the form of an order. The fencer moved quickly and pulled out the beasts swords and threw them at his feet. "Come!" The Aura Master ordered as he waved his right hand at the demon. "Let us settle this," the Master of the Ancient Aura said, finally ready to use his full power to fight the monster. Pain faded, anger and despair disappeared, leaving only the burning flame of determination in the swordsman to conquer this foe. "It is time you were ended, once and for all!"

Re: Darkness (Zorolo)

Sin was impressed, but he was a bit more surprised by the sudden transformation even though he was expecting something like it to happen eventually. The power he sensed in this boy was far too great to be what he was showing earlier, but now his power revealed itself. Sin was ready for a real fight.

Pain faded, anger and despair disappeared, leaving only the burning flame of determination in the swordsman to conquer this foe. “It is time you were ended, once and for all!” Zorlo boasted.

Sin acted as if he were brushing a speck of dust off his sleeve, the same way he would brush this person from the battlefield. He realized that this boy’s mind was set and stubborn; he wasn’t going to turn to darkness, not by Sin’s power anyway. He would just have to defeat him here then return again another time to see if he had embraced the truth yet.

Sin watched the rain fizz off the empowered warrior’s wings; they seemed to be made of pure energy. If they were made of a simple lightning energy, he would have no problem dispelling it, but this energy was different.

“Well, Zorlo, come and end me.” The darkness god finally responded, taunting his opponent. He knew that even if he were defeated here, he wouldn’t be killed, not by this boy.

Zorlo ignored the taunt, but attacked anyway. He burst forward with an incredible speed, his sword glowing in both hands. With a powerful swing through the air, it clashed with Sin’s claws. Instantly, Sirius felt the power behind the sword. He pushed off, flying himself back several meters. Yes, he could feel it from the beginning when he noticed the sword’s unique design. The power was focused around the blade, not the boy; yet somehow it was connected to him. The boy’s aura was fed into it, giving the blade its very power. If Sin were to wield the blade, his power would be tripled. Of course, Sin knew such a blade was usually bonded to its wielder thus useless to him.

“Where did you get that blade, boy?” Sin asked his curiosity too great for him not to.

Zorlo didn’t say a word, but instead continued his attack. Sin blocked each blow with his armored hands. After each strike he found it harder and harder to hold back each blast. He couldn’t stay on the defensive the whole time. A blade such as this would most useful for him, but he knew that he even he himself couldn’t have every power forged.

Zorlo struck over and over again, his power ten fold what it once was. It wasn’t the greatest power Sin ever encountered, yet it was quite strong indeed. Sin saw little reason for this battle to continue much longer, so he needed to find a way to end it quickly. Before he could finish his thoughts, he was struck across the face by the glowing Apollo sword. His mind raced as he flipped backward through the air, he crashed through building after building as he leveled the homes completely. His mind spun, stunned from the attack. That blow actually hurt. He couldn’t let him land another hit like that again, he would have to keep his full attention on the battle alone. Now things would get serious.

Sin slowly hovered off from the ground; his hood had been knocked down. He reached for it slowly, far enough away from the fencer to where he wouldn’t be able to see his face. He grabbed the hood and placed it back on his head, shrouding his face once again.

Sin’s white eyes pierced the dark rain, meeting Zorlo’s head on. Zorlo could sense his anger, even from their distance, at the same time he could sense Sin’s body had weakened from the blow. Zorlo felt he could kill the dark god if he had the chance, but a familiar feeling suddenly emanated from the beast a dozen meters away from him. The dark one had something in his heart Zorlo threw away a long time ago: Vengeance. Sin didn’t need his health to finish this fight.

In the blink of an eye, Sin left his position. He moved with incredible speed through the sky, sound following a full second behind him. Sin was going to finish this battle in one quick move.

Both of the dark armored fists struck into the fencer’s chest, the sound of chain-links snapping. Zorlo felt his body convulse once before the sound of the blow caught up with the strike. The winged fencer twirled backward through the sky, slamming his back into the outer gate of the city, the entrance’s support weakened. Sin’s feet crashed into the ground, sliding toward his fallen target. Zorlo saw the approaching monster in advanced. Raising both claws, Sin brought them both down hard. Before he hit, Zorlo swung both his wings in one quick movement. Sin’s claws crashed through the rock of the ground where his target once lay.

Zorlo turned in mid air, pushing toward the dark master’s exposed back. He raised his blade for the finishing blow, but instead felt two swords piercing the backs of his shoulder blades. He felt little pain due to his concentration, but the blades prevented his arms from moving.

“Forgot about my blades?” Sin smirked, his back still turned to the fencer. They remained on the floor ever since Zorlo pulled them from his body.

The darkness master spun in a quick movement, landing a sharp kick in Zorlo’s chest. The green haired boy stumbled backward, balancing himself with his wings. Sin extended his right arm, clenching his fingers. The water covering Zorlo from the rain froze instantly, preventing him from moving for a short period of time, but his strength would break through soon.

“Forgot the rain?” Sin spoke again, similar to the way he said before.

Zorlo swung his powerful wings, breaking the ice, but the swords remained. Sin shoved both fists forward, his swords reacting. They pulled backward out of the fencer’s back, pulling him with them to the ground.

“Forgot the rock?” Sin smirked, dropping his arms. Zorlo's eyes looked up in shock as he saw the platform he fell from earlier racing down to meet him. Zorlo swung both wings once more to escape, but was pinned by the dark god once again. Sin held the warrior to the ground with his hands and feet, the giant rocky platform descending at an incredible speed toward the two. “Don’t worry, Zorlo, you can ‘end me once and for all’ another day.”

Sin shoved off the fallen warrior, flying directly through the oncoming rock and out the other side as it crashed into the motionless swordsman below. The earth shook as it made contact, dirt and dust kicking up into the air. Sin slowed himself in the air, standing once again on the earth. He was shamed that the boy never noticed the rock he held in the air, never letting go of it even after they left it. The bottom of the rock was soft from the dirt in the land, but Zorlo wouldn’t be moving for another hour or so.

Sin eyed the island that buried his opponent. “You have failed, Zorlo.” He said, eyeing the water as it pelted the muddy earth. He waited a minute or two, seeing no movement. “I will return to you again in the future, Zorlo, and you best be ready.” With those words, Sin descended into the ground, off to hunt and devour the dirt of Brayre.

Ooc: Well, I guess that ends this fight… for now. You can post another post if you wish, but I believe it’s over. I look forward to fighting you again someday.
