Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Ooc: Thanks allot. I can start it now.

Bic: Quasar looked around, the area was a desolate one. Yet there were scrub trees. Time for destruction, he laughed gleefully. This is an ideal lava pit. For what ever destruction he could cause. This place had nothing really other then the scrub, that would burn. He wished that different yet glad to be in a desert her quickly forgot about his destructive plans.

Quasar had been on the run from bounty hunters. They were always on his tail. Especially this one human. This human made him rumble like a volcanno in anger. He tracked him and unlike the others, he never lost him. They had had a few go rounds, yet Quasar had always managed to come out on top by a hairs breath. This was not an easy warrior.

A twig cracked and Lucien knew he had given away his possition.

" Here we go again" thought the warrior.

' This time we'll finish it. Good bye human." laughed Tolge uproarously.

Ooc: I just reread your character, and if heat is one of his difficulties, your in for a hec of a time with QUASAR/TOLGE.

Good luck. You'll need it.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Hehe, there you are wrong, as I never said that he was using the armor that is weak against fire He has two sets of armor just in case of something like this, but then again, fire is fire and i'm sure this will be an interesting encounter. And after rereading your character, I hold myself in contempt for making this take place in a desert <_<

BiC: "Bastard, you won't get away now!" Luce shouted at the elf. "I live to rid the world of scum like you. It is unfortunate that this is a chase, or I could have caught up to you in my heavy armor, but I suppose either way, you're done for. The grand general crusader pulled out his spear and readied it in his fighting stance. The head of the spear was tilted down and the shaft, held in his right hand, was set behind his back at his waist. His left arm was outstretched with a half fist. Quasar watched as he himself drew his own weapon and readied himself for the assualt-- but he wasn't seeing his enemy anymore.

"What the-"

"Bastard!" Came a voice behind Quasar as he turned. The elf's eyes widened as the heavy shaft of Rage made direct contact with his face. He found himself flying through the air several feet, only to catch himself and ragain his balance. "Hell, I hit him with the shaft? This heat must be making me see things..." Luce sighed as he realized that he hadn't hit Quasar with the spear tip at all.

I'll make you suffer, spearman!" Quasar shouted as he rose his hands. A small spout of lava flowed out from a crack in the ground below aimed directly at Luce. Lucky for him, Quasar was shaken up from the first attack and missed by a centimeter. "Damn... I won't miss next time, consider that a warning of what is to come if you don't leave me alone now!"

"Tch, whatever. My body can stand heat quite well. After being thrown in the burning coal pits by Zarrox in my heavy armor, heat doesn't really bother me. Another thing is how my skin is five times as resistant to everything as any normal person, because every cell in my body is working at 100% while everyone else has only 20% efficient bodies. Your lava won't burn through me immediately, and at my speeds, I should be able to get any amount off of me within the second and a half that it takes for the lava to burn through my skin," Luce explained, providing a counter to Quasar's threat.

"We'll see about that..." was the elf's only reply.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Ooc: Quasars only weapons are claws and chains.

Bic: Chains burst from Quasar before the warrior could react, and wrapped around Lucien. Even with his speed, you cant dodge an attack you never knew your opponent had. Quasar started pulsing lava through his chains.

" How do you like the heat now!" Quasar laughed maddly.

" Still standing, *****." stated Lucien. Suddenly the chains flung Lucine into a tree and ashes arose around Quasar hiding him. Lava swirled around Quasar and he fell into the pit. Lucien looked around, trying vaguelly to see through the ash. Suddenly a lava strike blew Lucien upward. Quasar once again attacked with his chains.

In the air the warrior grabbed the chains and pulled the demonic figure forward. Quasar sent pullses of lava up the chains and the warrior let go with pulsing hot hands, only to hit a tree, and land in a heap.

" We shall see who is domanant. And you will find it is not you!" laughed Tolge gleefully.

" I m not done yet, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve." replied Lucien.

" Not over till the lava bubles. Grick clasha funies vetta!!!( Lava prevails over all)" yelled Quasar at Lucien " and you will not survive its sting."

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Ooo, sorry bout the weapon thing ^^;;

BiC: "Alright, dickhole, it's time that you realized who you are facing," Luce shouted at Tolge.

"Show me, human."

"Gladly!" Luce pulled his spear back up and ran at Tolge at 70 feet per second. The elf couldn't match the speed with his chain and soon felt the sting of Rage's tip. The spear head was an inch into the shoulder of Tolge. He let out a gasp as the pain reached his nerves and he quickly shot a wall of lava up to push Luce away.

"Damn, I won't let that happen again!" Tolge shouted as a large ball of lava formed around him, leaving only his chains exposed. The lava was floating several inches away from his skin. Luce gave a grim smile.

"Ok, I guess I'll just have to use pussy magic too," he spat as he bent into a crouch. Tolge watched as Luce shot up several yards into the air and performed a corkscrew. He quickly assumed a large attack coming and sent more lava up the barricade as the blue-aura'ed screw shot directly at him. The blue aura surrounding Luce broke the barrier first and the spear struck several inches from Tolge's foot. The next he knew, he was enveloped in a massive, blue explosion and found himself flying through the sky. The elf couldn't throw his arms out to stop himself and he struck the ground at a sharp angle and skidded several yards away. Luce on the other hand landed on his feet at the same point he had jumped. "Tch, your move."

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

" Finally. You take to long human." giggled Quasar. A wall of fire thirteen feet wide moved forward at alarming rate. The human dodged it and came around the wall thinking Quasar ungaurded. Quasar had expected this move and had a second lava wall already built and the human got crushed between the hammer and the anvil.

" Your Move." laughed Tolge.

" Ill get you yet." coughed the human who was now burnt.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Hehe, goodie!

BiC: "You will see that you have too much of an ego... more than I do," Luce laughed, as he observed the singe on his neck and face. I'll heal before this battle is over anyway, so I won't let the marring of my beautiful face stop me." He grinned, thinking about the luck that he had received this week so far. First was that she-elf in Hendro that gave him quite a fight. Then was the samurai master whom he had mistaken for Rein, and now this! It was truly a lucky break from the ordinary.

"You are persistent!" Tolge shouted as he raised his hand and threw a chain that wrapped around Luce's leg.

"Meh, whatever," Luce sighed as he threw himself to the ground and allowed the elf to drag him backwards. "Oh... watch your step!" he attempted to shout as he watched Tolge slip down into the large crater that was created by his attack. Of course the chains were now pulling him down now, and he didn't even struggle. Tolge regained his balance at the bottom of the crater and watched as Luce kicked off of the wall of the crater and landed behind him, still in chains.

"What do you expect to do?" Tolge grinned as he observed his shackled opponent.

"I dunno, I can always ask my friend's kid," Luce chuckled as he closed his eyes.

"Wh-huh?" Tolge asked, observing the mortal that stood before him as though he were about to be awarded a spiritual gift. "Whatever the hell you are doing, you had best watch yourself!" the elf roared as he shot a spiral of lava straight at Luce.

"Ahh, thank's Es," Luce muttered as he slightly dodged out of the way and looked at Tolge. The elf observed him and saw that he had not completely dodged the attack, and that his shoulder and left eye were seared now. "Tch." Luce grabbed his spear in hand and tossed it in Tolge's direction, but missed entirely, throwing it too far to the left.

"You fool, you are too injured to do anything. I will finish you off now.

"Ugh..." Luce hissed as he fell to one knee... and then on all fours.

"Die!"

But he didn't die... Tolge stared directly into the eyes of the crusader grand general. He felt three sharp pains in three different points in his abdomen and chest. He looked down in surprise to see to crystal blades sticking deep in.

"Honestly, you fell for it. That was all an act, haha! I purposefully let you hit me with that last attack so I would have a reason to act disoriented and miss you with my spear. Of course, as most fail to notice, I have two crystal swords strapped behind my back, but most see right through them, as they are clear. When you performed your finishing attack, I shot up at you when you were blinded by your own dust and stuck you with my two blades. Then I ran over and tossed my spear into your chest and met you back here, face to face. I guess I owe it to Vane's son, the little bastard is the smartest kid in the universe. He taught me lots about strategy, and I was too arrogant to listen to a 10-year old. Now I am glad that I decided to in the end," Luce explained, clearly happy with himself.

"Tch, you think that your plan worked?" Tolge chucked as a small drop of blood trickled from his mouth. Look," he said as he pointed down at the three puncture wounds. "I actually did figure that something was up and covered my body with lava at the last second and cooled it. Your weapons barely pierced me.

"...Incredible. You are truly one that I am honored to face, elf," Luce complimented. It was rather unexpected, as Tolge thought that he would have made a bigger deal out of it. "There is one thing I wish, and that is to know the name of the one that I fight."

"Tch, tell me yours first," Tolge hissed, suspicious.

"My name is not important, as nobody calls me by my real name. I can tell you that my nickname that I go by and that I would prefer you to call me is... The King," Luce replied with a half smile.

"The King eh? Well..."

OoC: I left it so you can put whatever you want ^^

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Ooc: Thanks.

Bic:

" I am... Tolge, yet all who know me call me Quasar. You have fought well. I will knowyour name by the end of the battle." stated Quasar with a true respect in his voice. Suddenly a lava wave arose and engulfed every think in its path. The warrior dodged out of the way just in time and the wave stopped leaving a massive fire pit in front of him. Even a human with one hundred percent could not leap this, and it would take to long to go around.

" The advantage is mine. Over distances you can not attack, yet my chains have no end to thier length. You loose Master king." Quasar staed knowing that this warrior was different. Chains launched and pulled back and launched again, each of witch missed by incredible flips and turns. Finally a chian hit home and the warrior was dragged towards a fiery demise.

" No, YOur name." lauched Quasar.

" Games not up yer." replied Lucien. Suddenly a spear landed blade first into the body of Quasar, wich was still covered in rock. Quasar reacted out of instinct and launched the wariior to the other sied of the fire pit.

" You are not the only one who has tactics." laughed Lucien. " The advantage is mine now."

Ooc: Your turn.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Hehe, I am going to abandon what I was doing with the whole name thing, as I figured it wouldn't be fair.

BiC: "You see, I respect you as a warrior and I must let you know, nobody calls me the King. My name is Luce Speaseten," Luce confessed, "I originally planned luring you to the nearby town and letting all of the guards hear you talking about killing the king. I knew that they would take you down and slay you in a second, and I wouldn't have to do a think. But, I definitely can't let myself do that. You aren't someone who wants trouble with our empire, and I was wrong to chase you for that reason."

"What the?"

"Now, I wish not to fight you as a heathen, but as a fellow warrior whom I hold no grudge against. Show me your strength and I shall show you mine in return. We shall make this one to remember for sure," Luce smiled as he got to his feet.

"..."

OoC: Once again, make him say whatever you want ^^

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Ooc: Okay

Bic: Quasar looked at Lucen slightly suspicoulsy but mostly surprised. He had misjudged this warrior.

" To the death... I believe not, that would be a waste of a life, a warriors life." stated Tolge for the first time since Samen respectfully. " Let us indeed, make this a battle to remember!" Chains launched at Lucen. He jumped and did a barrel roll to avoid them quite nicely.

Lucen ran toward the elf, and jumped swords poised in striking position. Quasar snatched him out of the air and flung him back across the pit.

" Time for a fair fight." Quasar launched himself over the chasm and landed next to the heap that was Lucen. Lucen had grabbed his spear and jabbed it up at Quasar who grabbed it and flung. The warrior had gotten just enough time to get back on his feet again though.

Lucen retaliated with a series of swipes, and strikes putting minor wounds all over Quasar. Quasar couldnt defend himself at this distance, but he could attack. Quasar razor claws came in an upward strike catching the warrior on the chin, lifting him into the air. The damage was minor, but it moved the warrior from his vantage point.

Quasar leapt and his height gained him the chasm. Lucien was good with his spear, so I must defend it. He shot chains at the warrior, witch e dodged with tallent, yet one struck him on the chest and he fell, another chain wizzed by and Luciens reflexes caught it and as the chain flew back across the pit, Lucien came with it. The warrior slammed into Quasar, and both fell, yet Lucien got up and rolled to his feet. Quasar arose.

Lucien sighted his spear, and dove for it, he grabbed it, rolled, and stabbed it deep into Quasar, forcing him of the edge of the chasm. Into the lava.

" Sorry, but a fight to the death was not neccesary. I did not mean t kill you."
stated Lucien solemly.

Suddenly lava arose sky high and Tolge reapaered.

" Not over till lava freezes!" laughed Quasar who was obviously having a ... good time. Death will never take me that quickly. Lava spurted out at Lucien who was sent flying, to land in a heap of sand.

Bic: Your turn.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Awesome! I have little time now, so i'll save this post for when I can do it decently. I just posted in my advanced class at the Dome, so I need to regenerate my juices...

Ready now!

BiC: "Alright then, I guess this will have to be decided by our skill and not our tactics!" Luce shouted as he readied himself once again and ran straight into Tolge. The elf was surprised at the upfront assault and could only watch himself be carried over the chasm below. They both hit the ground hard and rushed to their feet. Tolge noticed Luce already next to him readying an attack, and all the elf could do was try and defend. The speartip slid off of the tip of Tolge's claw. The warrior turned around 360 and struck again at Tolge's right side, only to be blocked again. The two combatants found themselves in a close-range flurry of movements and techniques. Luce's spear came in from the top and made a slight gash in Tolge's cheek, but the blow left him open to a strike at the ribs from the elf's claws.

Both warriors stumbled for a second, but only for a second. They were back at eachother immediately throwing blow after blow in random areas, hoping for a landed blow. This continuous strain left both warriors only fighting at half-efficiency, but it was't as much as a problem for Luce, as it affeced him 1/5 as much as it affected Tolge. They had worked their way around the crater and were now completely on the other side, clanging steel on remium. Chaos enveloped the entire surrounding area, as with each blow the ground shook and earth cracked.

"This isn't half bad!" Luce yelled as he shot up into the sky and began a corkscrew motion pointing at Tolge. The blue aura once again surrounded his spear and he shot forth directly into the solarplex of Tolge. His body became surrounded by the aura and Tolge remembered what that meant. The elf quickly let a smile loose and quickly dodged off to the far left where he watched Luce hit the ground. Smoke filled the air and all Tolge could expect was another strategy by Luce to use the smoke to his advantage. He would have to stop it this time!

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Quasar lookd at the fallen warrior. " That was unexpected. Although you obviously beat me close up, is because you cant miss me. Im ten feet tall!" he exclaimed laughing, and enjoying the battle, hoping it wouldnt end in the death of one of the two noble warriors.

" That was a nice tactic yourself." exclaimed the other. A slight wind blew over head and sand came down into the crater. Quasar shot his chains to the opening and halled himself up. He quickly filled the crater with lava. But Lucien was out faster then the lava filled.

" Nice try." he laughed half heartedly. " Maybe next time though." The opponents stared at each other, waiting for the other to attack. Both injured, yet enjoying themselves. Quasar made the first move and retraced another tactic. He launched his chains, one after another at the warrior, who was at the other side of the crater. If he tries the same trick Ill be ready. But I dont think this is that kind of warrior.Quasar thought.

Sure enough a chain struck home and the warrior was launched over to Quasar He is that foolish.thought Quasar. But then the warrior spun and landed a kick to the center of Quasars chest. Lucien landed, then triopped the demonic brute.

" Your move." he stated to Quasar.

Ooc: Pretty lame. I know. But I also am saving a grand Finale.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Heh, who says you are the only one with a finale

BiC: Quasar was now deep in thought on how to gain the advantage in weapons battle, as he knew that there was no way he could lose if he had advantage of both close-range and far-range fighting. The only problem was that Luce's spear had the distance to hit him from any range within 15ft and his swords were just so fast that Quasar just couldn't keep up. The elf kicked himself up on his feet and struck his chains into the ground; a smile crossed his face.

"With these chains controlling my direct movement, I will be able to move myself around at a similar speed as yours and still have the high ground, you are outmatched!" Quasar laughed.

"That's not half bad thinking... only thing is that I hang around with this kid who could put you, or anyone for that matter, into checkmate in seconds. He taught me to find the flaw in my opponent's tactics before creating one of my own, which is why your current plan is destined to fail, as I have found quite a blatant flaw," Luce replied.

"You bluff," Quasar hissed as he shot forward at Luce, spouting lava from directly in front of him. Luce shook his head, finally realizing how arrogant he looked when he was so full of himself as Quasar was now. The warrior, instead of dodging the lava, went directly underneath the elf and the lava and stuck both of his swords into the bottom of the chains. Quasar looked down thinking that this was all Luce was doing, and knowing that his chains grew from him and not the ground, so this would be no problem.

"We'll see how tight your grip is now!" Luce yelled up as he grabbed the hilt of each blade and drove them upward, pulling the chains right out of the ground and causing Quasar to fall over 20ft. He hit his head very hard coming down and was dazed now.

"Argh, I guess that was foolish of me..."

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Ooc: figured you would.

Bic: ...even if the only thing that hurt me was the blade. My own lava can not scorch me. You being so highly trained were expected to know that. But I guess I did not mention it. I am a creature born of Lava. And what I have shown you are not my only tricks." Suddenly wraiths appeared." You are also out numbered with an equal foe. That I believe puts the advantage on me. Oh and some of these are fallen wizards." Quasar laughed as he got to his feet.

This was an unexpected move. Lucien hesitated before blue fire lanced from a wraiths hands. Lucien was caught between as another one followed the firsts example. Lucien felt the bur, yet the damage was minimal. He ran out of the middle of them knowing that at this point he was out manuavered.

Aiming at the still running Lucien Quasar shot both his chains and caught him on the legs, bringing him down and dragging him towards himself. But fast as lighting luciens two swords appeared and Quasar ordered the wraiths after him. Lucien was no having... fun. Quasar launched two more chains. But Lucien avoided and they wrapped themselves around trees. Lucien laughed.

Quasar gave a mighty tug, and ripped the trees in half( scrub trees, just in case your wondering were the trees came from) and launched half a tree at Lucien witch he neatly dodged. Then the other half and agian with no problem he dodged with wraiths still on his tale. The wraiths suddenly disaepeared.

" Have you no honor?" asked Lucien laughing at the experience.

" No. I have honor. But mine is a different code from yours. I just had to get the upper hand." Quasar laughed too. This battle was differnet then he had expected. But he met a warrior, that he had learned how to respect. A warrior he still respects. A warrior who had taken everything he had dished out and sent it full force right back at him. Quasar was happy with this battle. Quasar had not been happy in a long time.

Ooc: Just trying to lengthen the post.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

"Well, perhaps I shouldn't be such a stereotypical crusader who states that anyone's ideas that are different are heresy. I have never believed in that and neither does my lord, so I shall continue this with the same feelings that I have had since the beginning," Luce chuckled as he dashed behind Quasar and began to engage him in close combat once again. Quasar attempted to pull far away, but he was slower than Luce and couldn't control himself when moving backwards. The elf let out a gasp as his foot hit a stone and he fell into the ground. Luce's smile broadened this time as his spear shot forth, unhindered by any stone, straight through the center of Quasar's chest.

The elf's mouth opened so wide and fast that he almost broke his jaw; blood was everywhere. Luckily for him, no organs or blood vessels had been hit and he wasn't quite done for yet. Using a sly trick, Quasar made himself appear to be too injured to fight anymore to take Luce's attention off of his surroundings. "I can't do this much longer..." he coughed.

"Surely you aren't finished yet, as I would be slightly disappointed," Luce replied, his smile fading. Behind him a large wave of lava began to form, silently.

"No... I do not give up just yet, but I need just a second to regain my breath."

"What bull is that? This is a battle, not some game with rules!" Luce shouted as he ripped the spear out and readied a second piercing in a less deadly location: the pelvis.

Quasar said nothing, but let a simper cross his lips as the colossal wave of lava fell from behind and washed he and Luce down into the dark chasm. He knew that it would be worth the fall to have Luce be hit by such a large amount of lava... and he was correct.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Quasar snapped his jaw back into place. He then put lava on the wound and it dried to rock. He could talk, but that would also let the wound heal faster. " Of course I know this is no game. I have fought with you for over an hour now. I figure you would know me better then that by now. Foolish of you to let down your guard. Even if you cant hear me. After all, you are under a pile of lava." laughed Quasar knowing that any second this warrior would remerge. This was not a normal soldier. Quasar knew that and gave him credit for it.

A hand shot out of the lava, then another. Lucien took himeself from the lava. Quasar prepared himself. He would not attack untill the warrior was ready. He knew honor. He would honor honor( had to put that in there).

Lucien was faster then Quasar had thought in healing. In a matter of seconds he was up and running again. ***t. I underestimated him. thought Quasar before the glowing red form of Lucien launched himself into Quasar. Quasar hit the ground on his back. Lucien standing over him, smiling at what seamed to be victory.

" For the record, I could hear you just fine." Lucien stated as he raised then dropped his spear. Quasar was ahead of him though,. He shot out his chains and grabbed the warriors legs. The spear missed his head by a hairs breath and Lucien hit the ground. Now things were going to get interesting. quasar quickly turned up the heat.

Ooc: Have you noticed we dont even have a page yet? I blame you( not really. I think your cool so I woldnt do that.).

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: Heh, we'll have a page soon enough, and that'll be both our faults

BiC: "This battles seems as though it can be decided neither by magic nor by skill. What then can it be decided by? My mind tells me that it is in fact the mind that shall triumph in this battle, and I can't wait to see what you can cook up," Luce chuckled as he rose from the ground. By now Quasar had already hit almost twice the heat of lava and was still charging up his body heat. Sweltering Helios above added to his power.

"We'll see then, won't we?" Quasar roared as a big eruption of flame bursted from his chest and knocked Luce even farther back. He was so hot at this point that when the flame burst out, it was too hot to be near itself and shot very quickly as if it were parts of seperate magnet ends. Even Luce at his top speed couldn't have dodged that.

"Damn... What good is the mind against something like that? I am always hailed as the most powerful normal mortal in Sirlonia, but this guy seems to be just a step further. If only I had been able to continue that final lesson with Es... perhaps I'd have learned to ascend as well," he mumbled, letting some blood drip from his mouth. "This is all Rein's fault, if he hadn't attacked Bimalon I would have been able to continue my training."

"Get up, I have more for you!" Quasar laughed as he let out another wave of smoltering heat that now began to leave patches of missing skin all over Luce's body. What could he do now?

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Quasar knew that the battle was near an end. So he threw up a lava cage around his opponent. He looked luce square in the eyes.

" Well fought... Lucien. You have earned my respect this day. Your whit and strength have made you a winner in my book. But this is not over.

Ooc: Running out of Ideas. Its not over by the way.( still your fault( agian just kidding))

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

OoC: That's ok, I have to do a short thing too because I want to work on my character bio. ^^

"Bring it," Luce said as he broke Quasar's head.

Just kidding. Notice I didn't use BiC

BiC: "Fine, you can keep me trapped as long as you want, but you'll have to finish me some time, and that is when I'll make my move," Luce laughed, confidently.

"Talk talk talk, let's see you get out of there without me setting you free!"

"Pft, fine, maybe I will."

OoC: Yep... *checks again* ...still crap. Oh well, you can make him do whatever.

Re: Battle in the Dry Desert (BlueFox)

Quasar looked at the cage. Too easy. He thought. he started collapsing it.

" Now get out of it. You r on a time limmit now." Quasar laughed ruthlessly out of nature. He had come to admire this warrior very much. He wished the battle would not end so soon.

" I think I will." Lucien laughed in return. He dove through the quickly closing bars of the cave.

" Dumb luck." sputtered Quasar who expected a move such as this one. " I bet you couldnt do that agaqin.
