RP Dominion vs Alliance of Tasogare. (anyone from those two groups)

OoC: This is a battle starring Boomer 3.0 against Zorlo 2.0 in the match that should have taken place in Master of Combat. This will be a Clan War also, so anyone from these to groups who ant to throw in, can join.

BiC: It had been a year since Boomer began his training under the Master of Combat. He had finished his training to become a warior who could protect his people from any evil. However, he felt the need to find Zorlo again for unfinished business.

The Human had a dark side, and believed that his dark side was too much for Boomer to handle. Wanting to prove himself, the Goron ent home to ask Biggoron to craft a custom hammer, and forge steel cables for his platemail. If Boomer on against the dark Zorlo, he would be more at ease, and it may even help Zorlo control the darkness after it tasted defeat.

He searched far and wide for the Human, and found out two things: He was part of an alliance where most of the members were wanderers, but there was one member who did not wander the world as much. This member was a Dinofos named Derrel, so Boomer journeyed to where Derrel was stationed.

"What do you want with me, Goron?" Derrel asked the intruder.

"I want to know where Zorlo is. I heard you were both in the same Alliance. I want to defeat his dark side."

"I refuse to do anything to put him in harm's way. Leave my aquaintances alone."

"I pomise I won't kill him, if only you'd tell me where he is."

After some more talking, Derrel said he had last seen Zorlo in a certain town. So Boomer began his journey to catch up with Zorlo, and ask for a match.

OoC: I'll use Dan The Half Demon; in sig.

BiC: Dan The Half Demon smelled somethinin the air. Something is going to happen... Something big possibly, the half demon thought to himself. Dan was just finishing his meal consisting of a rabbit he had caught and slain. It was then that Dan smelt the scent of goron. Dan followed the scent all the way to an area he never has been to before. Just then Dan lost the scent so he decided to yell for someone. "HELLO! ANYONE HERE!" the half demon yelled.

A dinofus answered Dan. "What is it?"

"I'm looking for a Goron! Have you seen him?"

"Yeah yeah he went in that direction," the dinofus said pointing. Dan quickly set off in the direction in search for the goron. Moments later when the dinofus was out sight Dan started to pick up the scent again. He's headed for a town. Dan thought to himself. Dan reached the town with the scent of the goron heavy in the air. HE'S HERE! Somewhere... He thought to himself as he looked upon the town.

OoC: Short intro for me...

OoC: I'm here, Zorlo, link in sig. This shall settle what MoC didn't just one thing Daphnes, we should keep the battle to no more then Three on three. I don't want this battle to be unfair.

BiC: The fencer of Tasogare stood in the center of the town, not entirely sure why he had come here. The green haired man had a strange dream a few nights back, but the odd thing about it was what he was reliving. The aura master sat upon the fountain in the center of the city, relaxing as he looked about at the happy people, which made him hunger for the companionship he ever found himself leaving. This had actually caused him to write several letters and ship them out two days before. Looking back on the past few days, the fencer began to ponder what he had seen; witnessing the love, battles and many adventures that had occurred in such a short time.

"One year," he whispered to himself as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. In truth, it had been exactly one year to the day since the Master of Combat race had ended, and the fencer had been forced to surrender from fear of his own darkness. I could have been consumed by my own hatred and evil and become my other. I could not risk that happening, and I had to make sure that Tsukineko was okay. Boomer got off easily, but I don't think he'll be so lucky next time he and I meet, the fencer told himself as he removed a letter from his pocket. His lover had sent him a letter two weeks earlier, and the fencer had read it over and over again, ever wondering when he would see her again. He smelled the letter, seeing if it still carried her lovely scent; and it still did, yet faintly. His eyes scanned it over as the aura master thought about the letters he had sent out a week earlier.

The green haired fighter had sent out several letters to the Alliance of Tasogare a week earlier in order to inform them of how and where he was at this time. The fencer had been situated in this town for a few days, trying to find a way to get back to his home in the forest near the ruined city. Thanks to Rex and his old man that he had suggested Zorlo buy his maps from, the fencer had become so lost that his hopes of finding his home upon his own will were slim to none, much yet with the strange feeling that told him he should remain in Sagon for a short while more. The fencer's most long and detailed letter was written to his lover, Selene, whom had joined the Alliance when he had told her about it. He greatly desired to see her again, but for some reason, leaving this town seemed like a bad idea.

It was about midday when the fencer began to hear talk from the locals about some odd, rock like creature moving this way. It can't be, the fencer told himself as he moved towards the watch tower in the town and looked down. In the distance, a faint outline of a Goron stood, walking slowly towards the city. There is no way, the green haired swordsman reassured himself as something began to shine off of the giant rock's back. A massive hammer strapped to the giants back was all that needed to be seen before the fencer's suspicions were confirmed. "He is here," the fencer said as he sighed and bent over, looking at the ground. "Boomer's come looking for me after all this time... This could be annoying. Well, better meet up with him before he gets here," the fencer said as he climbed down the tower and rushed towards the wall to meet up with the Goron, for if Boomer was here, it only meant one thing. He was here for his match with Zorlo!

OOC: I shall be joining. I will be using Selene, link in sig, where else?

BIC: Her gloved hands clutched the multiple pieces of paper that were his letters, stuffing them down her backpack and spreading her wings, allowing her to reach heigher sights to see. If there was a town nearby, she needed to rest for a while. It would be nice to have some rest after such a hard night, struggling with her inner sense. Her self-control was weakening slowly, and she was having trouble controlling herself lately.

She let the windy currents push her upwards, enabling her to view the whole landscape below. She spotted what seemed like a rather large establishment. Wonderful! The town seemed to be active, and there were several different races below according to her sights. Now she had no reason to worry about anything or anyone worrying about her wings.

"Perfect...now if only Zorlo knew that I was coming for him...I want to accompany him." She blinked a few times, her body alighting on a nearby roof.

"I'm looking for a Goron! Have you seen him?" she heard someone demand, and turned to catch a glimpse of Dan. The figure seemed...confused, but searching, or at least that's what her emotion absorbing told her.

"Pardon...can I help you?" she asked, alighting down in front of him, slightly aware of the fact that his appearance was strange. "If I can help in some way, I will."

And so Jhans enters the fray. I fight for the dominion. Nice to meet you all.

Jhans had been following the same scent for days. Here, where the forest meets the wide plain, it ceased. His previous actions had been ceased through lack on funds, and the smell was that of a pack of rare mammals, whose pelt, when treated, formed the lining of harpoon guns used in the empire's mighty warships.
But here on the treeline, the scent ceased in its potency - and a new scent entered the image. The smell of blood.

Blyn!

Grey swoops down and joins Jhans, who sits in the last of the snow. As the sun rises in the sky, many scents are brought to him while he waits. He can smell the wolves that killed the ermine - he smells the nearby town, a village that once, long ago mine coal but now scrapes and industry available. And he smells opportunity.
A familiar scent is washed up to him - a scent of rock, and mud; it washes up to him in a wave that stretches fifteen feet high on the dawn breeze. The creatures' chemical makeup was thus; it waits and seeks. It is in a state of panic and slight confusion. It is a creature of the mountains - and it's huge amongst its kinsmen. Such was a powerful friend to have.

Jhans set off - Grey gliding behind him. Such were dangerous times for a lone goron on the plains.

OoC: I the wirter formaly known as Puck the trickster has decided to lend my pen for this most glorious of battles in hopes I will crush those foolish enough to stand against me.(For all those framiliar with Aegis member of the alliance of Tasogare, I have given him a upgrade he is now Aegis Irona 2.0)

BiC:
The thin air stood silent as a heavy figure slowly moved its way through it. The sun lingered helplessly overhead beaming light onto the man forever hidden under a cloak of metal. With each sturdy footstep the ground seemed to form around his foot as if it was unable to keep the metal beast up without sinking slowly into the bowels of hell itself. His gray eyes where fixed on the on coming town, a friend was there.

Not to long ago he received a letter from the friend himself, stating little more then how he was doing, and his location. Normally he would not bother to seek out this friend for himself, but under these circumstances he had to find him. Whilst walking solemnly along one day he heard a large rock beast muttering almost inaudibly to himself, but with his better then normal hearing thanks to his race he could hear him mention one word “Zorlo”. Now the man who is scarred by metal is no fool, it was obvious the malicious intent of the goron, and Aegis had a gut feeling that the goron wasn’t going alone. The town stood now as a dominating force covering the entire horizon, he was where he needed to be; now all he needed was to find the green haired fencer.

The beast of the rocks was slowly churning his towards the town slower then even the metal man was. As if on cue a bright flash of green caught Aegis’ eyes, of course it was Zorlo running towards the battle he was sure would ensue. He cold eyes rolled half-heartedly around before his feet decided to give chase. Aegis wasn’t sure but he could have sworn that moment that he wasn’t the only figure running towards the two forces about to collide.

Boomer saw a figure running towards him. He was happy to know he wouldn't have to search the town to call Zorlo out. The fencer jogged foward, hand on the hilt of his sword.

"You knew this day would come! All your evil side needs is a good lesson in humility!" Boomer said before the fencer even arrived.

"What are you up to?" Zorlo asked as he approached Boomer. "You think a year of taining can defeat me? And a new hammer?"

Boomer pulled out his hammer and began summoning a ing of dust around the area. "I had to promise this Dinofos I wouldn't kill you, so don't hold anything back."

"Derrel, huh? I guess he does care for people other than his own."

The Goron lunged at his opponent with great force, but he missed as the fencer made a leap. He meant to come down and slash Boomer's back staps, but the leather had been replaced with steel. The Air Slash did little. Boomer came around with a vertical swing, but Zorlo blocked with sword and buckler just behing the head. He could feel heat within the hammer, which was concerning.

"Are you able to focus energy through the hammer?"

Yes. I got the idea fom Tsukineko. Biggoron can do wonders with weapons."

OoC: This should be fun!

BiC: "Interesting that you picked that trick up, mostly considering thanks to it, Tsukineko nearly ripped you into pieces using his ice magic," the aura master told the Goron, who readied his hammer for another attack. The rock creature raised his weapon above his head and swung it down with great force upon where the fencer stood, but by the time it struck the ground, it had only hit the earth, and the fencer looked at the giant from the top of his hammer. "You are much stronger then you were, but as am I."

"You still rely on the darkness you used to defeat Illdian, and I'll make you pay for defeating him!" Boomer said, moving one hand from his hammer and swinging his palm at the fencer, who merely jumped back, avoiding the attack. Boomer smiled as the fencer landed; something was stirring on the ground as the Goron held his hand on the hammer, and suddenly flame shot from the ground. The aura master raised his shield to absorb the blow, but it quickly melted away into nothing.

"That was rather impressive," the fencer told him, throwing the handle of his buckler away and readying his sword for the next attack. "But there is one thing you should know," the fencer told him, the golden sword of the green haired man reflecting the sun off of its surface. "Not long ago, I freed myself of my darkness... Or to be more exact, he freed himself of me," the fencer told the rock monster.

"Say what?!" Boomer said confused as he raised his hammer back to his shoulder.

"I no longer carry my darkness in my heart, so if you wish to fight him, you'd have to locate him, since he is his own person," the aura master told Goron, pointing the tip of his rapier at him. "I am no longer evil, but rather completely good," the fencer said, readying to fight this rather improved foe.

"Interesting," the rock giant said, looking at the fencer's face. "I see the scar on your face is gone, so I guess that was where your darkness was," Boomer said. "I don't know how true what you say is, but I know one way to check! Fight me Zorlo," the Goron said as he raised his hammer and swung it down on the swordsman again, who raised his sword up and blocked the massive hammer with one hand. A red, flame and air mix was released as the weapons clashed. "I see you knew I was going to channel my fire magic into that attack."

"Yes, and I moved the air around my sword and created as barrier to disperse the flames," the fencer said as he pushed his blade up and repelled the Goron. The giant stepped back slightly, looking at the swordsman who was pointing the tip of his rapier at the Goron again. Suddenly, the fencer made his move to attack. The aura master ran at the Goron, who quickly swung his hammer, hitting the ground, missing the fencer entirely and by the time that Boomer noticed that he had missed the fencer had already pushed himself from the Giant's back into the air. A light green aura coated the fencer's sword as he slashed into the Goron's armor strap, snapping one of the supports with his energy enhanced blade. The aura master then jumped back, landing on his feet upon the ground and sliding back. "This shall be most interesting," the green attired man said as he readied to strike again.

Dan heard the noise of clashing and felt the earth move a little. I wonder what's going on? "I gotta go bye," Dan said to the angel as he darted off towards the noise. Dan came to a sudden halt to find the goron he had been searching for. I just knew something fun was going to happen if I followed the goron but... It would be wrong to jump in right now. Dan thought to himself as he watched the battle rage on. Fire poured from the goron's hammer towards the other fighter. The other fighter dodged the blow. Dan, not ready, took the blow with full force knocking him down.

"Hey watch it!" Dan shouted at the two fighters. "Well, maybe you shouldn't stand so close to a fight." said the fencer. This made Dan kind of angry and he withdrew his sword.

"Watch it bub or I'll slice you!" Dan said at the fighter pointing his sword at the fencer.

OoC: another short one I promise my next post will be longer.

As the metal warrior charged into battle, something rather unexpected happened, a cloud of dust rose from the ground engulfing the two warriors. The great metal man skidded to a stop upon this unnatural phenomenon appeared. It must be the goron trying to cover their battle up. he contemplated to himself quietly. Slowly the dust dropped leaving aegis looking at three warriors standing there, where did that third guy come from! Enough of this what is going on here . It appeared the two forces actually fighting didn’t take notice to the two bystanders watching in slight confusion.

A mistimed strike by Aegis’s green haired ally almost connected with the strange looking warrior, if he had not moved swiftly. The gray haired stranger drew his sword in fury pointing it at the fencer of Tasogare.

“You’d better watch it bub or I’ll slice you,” He bellowed.

“Enough!” Aegis roared charging towards the demon. Dan, taken by surprised attacked quickly at the large man running towards him, but the ever careful aegis brought his right shoulder forward causing the blade to merely bounce off it, then with a swipe of the Sancttis’ metal hand the half demon was brought down onto his back a few yards away.

“Aegis?!?” The fencer said in confusion, Irona turned nodding his head slight as a sing of respect towards the man he considered his equal. The metal man opened his mouth to speak, but a snapping of a twig behind him shut him up, he spun around the attempted sneak attack of the half demon. Ending up behind his new enemy he bounced back a step, and changing his arm into a whip snapped at the legs of Dan sending him face first onto the ground. The hardened metal warrior stood silently as Zorlo, and Boomer started fighting again.

The stranger turned face up, then jumping to his feet he swung hard towards. The gray eyes of the metal man caught the blade shining in the sunlight, and blocked it by bringing his arm in front of his face. “You are going to have to do better then that,” Aegis mocked.

OOC: Short posts rule!...With me, anyway...

BIC: Selene cocked her head, puzzled at the half-demon's reaction. Out of curiosity, she followed from above, spotting a fight below. Her happiness level greatly increased as she noticed one of the two in the fight...the one she knew. That was when she heard it...the battle shout of another.

"Watch it bub, or I'll slice you!" Just before her insticts kicked in and she replied, another took her place.

Silently, she surveyed the two fighting, noticing that Aegis seemed to know Zorlo from somewhere. She watched Dan and Aegis exchange multiple blows, impressed with the power of both. Hovering to the ground beside Aegis, she gave him a glance, but turned to face Dan. "You will do no such thing..." she stated, her eyes narrowing.

She did not wish to interfere with Zorlo's battle, for the fencer could do fine on his own. She did, however, know that no one was going to threaten him without going through her first, and she wasn't afraid to show her hidden power, even if it meant giving up her body to her darker form.

As Jhans came skidding down into the settlement, he hears the clashing of blades. From a distance, he sees a massive being, a goron despite its size, dueling with a human in a tower of dust. A smaller man in black was trying to get to the battle, his way blocked by a huge man in what looked like skin-tight mail. A young female hovered to the ground beside him on silken wings. Jhans sidled round so he was behind the black-clad man, always keeping at least one building between him and the battle.

We have, (he told himself) a three-on-two situation here. The man in black seems most likely to pay for my services. What team is he on? The one that's going to lose.

Bears can think in italics. Such beings should be watched, preferably from a safe distance.

"If you want to lay a hand on Zorlo, you're going to have to go through us, kid. And I assure you that that is a phsyical impossibility."

The roof creaked under Jhans - he was yet unseen. His unintroduced ally had back right under the lip of the roof he is on. This was the right moment - steeling himself, extending his claws, Jhans jumped.

THUD

Rearing above Aegis and Selene, a ton of bear and iron roars mightily - a mere shillouette against the dust and sun. Ten claws lash through the air before the bear drops to all fours, letting all its teeth pass within an inch of Aegis' face.

"'Passing through you shall be no toil at all."

(OoC)
Ooh. Drama.

"Even if you are telling the truth, Zorlo, we were meant to have this battle. If I see no trace of evil within you during this fight, then I will believe your words." Boomer said.

Zolo made an attack, sticking sword to hammer. He used the momentum to launch upward fo a powerful downthrust. Boomer bent down to take the blow on his back, and bucked his opponent off.

Turning quickly, the Goron slammed the ground before Zorlo landed so the fence landed in a ditch. Vents opened in the ditch, spewing flames. Combining Air Slash with dual wielding, Zorlo raced up the ditch while deflecting flames. Boomer took an air coss slash full in the platemail, but Zolo was buned by the heat.

"Hasn't Illdian taught you yet that speed is better than brawn?" Zorlo asked.

"Don't tempt me to roll you over." Boomer replied.

Through their periphrial vision, they saw the other four fighters that had gathered. "Who are these people?" Boomer asked.

"Two of them are friends of mine." Zorlo said.

"I guess that makes the other two with me."

The battle slowed down a bit, and both sides took opposite ends of the field. Introductions were made, and each side eadied themselves for a three on three fight.

The Alliance of Tasogare members and the fighters that were helping Boomer were separated by about a twenty yard space. The fencer smiled as he looked at his allies, looking up at the metal man who's face was stern, as always; whereas, Selene was aglow as she suddenly hugged the green clothed man tightly. The Aura Master hugged her passionately back and kissed her on the cheek, for there was no time for heartfelt displays, mostly since it seemed the other side was still planning.

"Zorlo, who is this woman?" Aegis asked tonelessly.

The green haired man let his lover go and turned towards the semimetal man and smiled. "This is Selene, and she and I are lovers now," he said giving the giant a wide grin.

"I see..." The metal warrior responded without much care. "So I'm guessing she is an Alliance member as well?"

"Yes I am!" Selene said cheerfully as he stepped to the fencer's side. "And who exactly are you?"

"I am Aegis Irona, and I am a member of the Alliance of Tasogare as well... I feel it may somehow help me," the metal man said staring at the Aura Master.

"Well, now that we are all introduced, we have a task before us," the green haired fighter told the group as he turned his gaze back to the Goron. "Boomer, that Goron over there, and I have an unresolved battle to complete, but it seems that others are stepping in to aid him," the fencer told his friends in a very serious tone. "What do we know about our other foes?"

"One is a weakling, and the other is a polar bear," Aegis stated without much more then a hint of annoyance. "That Goron on the other hand may be fun to fight," he continued, his eyes glistening with a desire to fight.

"Thanks for the information, Aegis, but that Goron is mine... For now anyway. He is much stronger then he was, but so am I," the fencer added as he spun his short sword in the palm of his right hand and then quickly returned it to its holder. "So, one is a polar bear, and the other is some kind of a sword fighter... Man I feel bad for them," Zorlo muttered.

"And why is that," Aegis asked him, cracking a slight smile.

"Yeah, so do I," Selene added to the conversation as she stepped forwards.

"That is right milady, and the time has come to teach them a lesson."

"I want that guy with the sword on their side, he wanted to interfere in your battle Zorlo," the red winged angel stated, kissing the fencer on the cheek. "Be careful my love," she whispered to him.

He turned and kissed her for only a moment and whispered into her ear, "Same to you milady."

Aegis watched and then sighed slightly, his massive build slouching slightly as he stared at the fencer and the angel. "I guess that means the bear is mine for now," he stated blandly.

"Right, now then, let's slow them the power we have!" The Aura Master stated as he stepped forwards and looked over at his foes, all who stepped forward slightly. "Ready to continue Boomer?!"

"Yes," The rock giant called back as he stepped forwards, hammer in hand. "Let our battle resume!"

OOC: Let's get this battle started then! HalfDemonDan, you're mine. X3

BIC: After introductions, the angel seemed more at peace. At least she knew somewhat of her opponents. She normally wouldn't have wanted to fight like this, but Selene surveyed her opponent before charging into battle. She saw no logic in simply attacking someone she didn't know. She would see who he was first, what he acted like in battle. Furious, or careful? Powerful, or speed-oriented? Still many questions needed to be answered before she could jump right on in.

He looked young under his jet black kimono... Her eyes flashed towards him in a sudden angry impulse. He would not escape this battle, whoever he was. She sensed a deep feeling of anger within him that seemed to prove formidable.

"Why are you so angry?" she asked, her angel's senses picking up the emotion, though it seemed somewhat dormant. A long, sleek sword seemed to be his weapon of choice, and as she eyed it, she drew her own.

He did not answer her, obviously not a person that spoke a lot. Selene found this to be a little annoying, but she didn't exhibit in on her features. "You don't talk much, do you? Well, I'll tell you what. If you want to walk away now, I wont' hurt you...how's that?"

At that sudden remark Dan got furious. His anger just about exploded. Dan's eyes were starting to change from green to red. Must resist... temptation.... to.... become........ enraged....... Dan thought as he felt his inner anger making in its way into domination over himself. Dan's sword started to glow faintly. Frenzy of the Gods is the frenzy he is going to use. He looked over at his opponent and smiled slightly.

Dan's eyes were completely changed to red now. The opponent looked somewhat confused at the smirk he gave her. Dan roared and charged towards his opponent. Selene moved out of the way just as Dan slashed his sword at her but before she can do anything else he quickly slashed towards her direction. She blocked the blow with her weapon but the impact told her that he gained strength from becoming enraged. Dan lifted his sword and starting wailing at the weapon she was wielding uncontrollably.

Dan was trying to break the weapon but to no avail. Then the sword glowed brighter as Dan swung the sword at her one more time. The impact knocked Selene onto the ground. She looked above to where Dan was standing to find that he was not there. She looked up and saw Dan coming down from the air with sword pointed at her. She quickly moved out of the way making Dan pierce the ground instead of her. Dan was stuck for a moment, and this was the angels chance to launch an attack.

OoC: adequate i suppose...

Aegis

(Ic)

This human is slow but immense. His flesh is forged from steel, but he is not immune.

Gripping his maul in both hands, Jhans swings it in a horizontal figure-of-eight at in creasing speed, making an advancing, spinning wall of stone, wood and freezing air.

"That will not harm me - I am hewn from metal, Bear. Your surface armour is muslin in comparison."

"Steel will bend, Human. Iron will rust. My armour is of no mortal metal."

Aegis advances, holding no weapon. He lunges, and the maul reaches resistance. Like a wall of steel, it clashes as it meets the stone, and knocks it to the ground, Jhans still holding it. Still standing, both arms gripping the hammer's handle and defenceless, the bear looks in awe as the sword turns back into an arm.

It's alive. And it's part of him.

"Truly mortal metal is the strongest there is, Bear."

“I see you stand in awe of my arm,” The large member of the alliance spoke with a grim smirk, as battles raged around him, unnoticed, by his steady glare, “My arm, my body, my curse,” He shook his head sadly, before looking up slightly with a malicious smile, ‘But I have learnt to use this curse, this power against those who appose me,” The ground seemed to shake as he spoke, “Now do you see bear, I am no normal human by any means,” A heavy footstep crushed a single rose which seemed to grow apart from all others, “No, I am not human, no human would be capable of surviving the curse this long,” Another footstep left his imprint forever in the soft ground, “No human would be able to turn pain and suffering into triumph,” His smile grew more, and more malicious as he spoke ,”Lay down your arms now, and no harm will come, but if you chose to fight,” As he spoke t words the ground began to shake violently knocking all around off balance, “The you will pay,”

Before the bear could think, a giant metal axe was aimed at his pure white head, within a second, his hammer was blacking it, along with the cold gale that followed the hammer. “Powers or not, you will still fall,” The beast said pushing the man back, while showing his pointed teeth, “Every enemy bleeds, you are no exception,”

“Your making a terrible mistake,”

“So be it,”

“The price,” he said looking down mocking sadness, “Is your life,” His head shot up full of deadly intentions, as his arm turned into a deadly sword, preparing the next attack.

“If I fall,” The bear said grimly, ”I’ll take you to hell with me,”

OoC: Sorry for shortness, I just can't get a proper feel for this battle.

OOC: I expected this thread to be busier. I suppose others are as busy as I am. *hums the Gummi Bears theme* I miss the old cartoons. Sorry for the suckiness of this post, but I wanted to keep it moving along.

BIC: The instant Selene saw the crimson tone in Dan's eyes, she knew he wasn't human. Demon, probably. He charged her before she had much time to think of anything, and she jumped out of the way, slightly confused as to what his weapon was and why it was glowing.

A series of him trying to break her stance took place, but she dodged successfully, even to the point of him having his sword stuck deep into the ground. Launching a swift attack, she gave him a roundhouse kick, the point of her heel slamming into his shoulder. She heard a slight crack, and alighted into the air. "Let's see you fight me from the sky, huh?" With that, she disappeared, using the wind currents to her advantage.

When she came down for an arial attack, she was surprised to see him nowhere in sight. Obviously this wasn't going to be the easiest fight. Her sparkling eyes searched out every possible corner of the arena, her swords constantly at the ready for a sneak attack from him, wherever he was.

"Hell? You of all creatures should know that there are things worse than death."

Aegis came thrasing down upon the bear, hacking furiously in a spinning style, trying to find a weak spot in the bear's defences. Jhans spun the maul like a staff, creating a wall of wood, stone and cold. As Aegis came again, his metal arm was caught by the spinning lump of stone, and his arm was cast aside down to the ground. Smiling maleovently, Jhans kicked him in the gut. He met steel. Aegis rolled back and stood again, sitriking blows onto Jhans' mighty armour.

The melee continued, Jhans mostly deflecting blows - but lunging and swinging claws, trying desperately to find a vulnerable spot. He fights too hard and then recoils, Jhans thought, if he were any mortal man he would soon be slain.

Jhans found the defense became almost mechanical, and allowed his mind to wander. His predator's instinct slowed down his perception of the time around him, allowing him to concentrate on the fighting style of Aegis. A glimmer of thought...

"Hah!"

Jhans looked down. The katana has struck him on his rearleg, and the armour appeared dented. Jhans saw his chance. He's not expecting me to fight like an animal. He bent slowly down to move the dent to one side, to allow easy movement. And as Aegis came in with a thrust, Jhans has leaped upon him, pinning him to the ground.

"Yes, there are precious few things worse than death. I am one of them."
