Until Death do us Part (Avyuir)

(Here we go, Avyuir! Don't feel afraid to talk to Amy, for the only way you could hear or see Will is if you threatened her in some way. XD)

"Here comes the candle to light you to bed..." the little girl sang, her high-pitched voice soaring out over the treetops with glee. "Here comes the chopper to chop off your head." She smiled as she skipped the leaves crunching beneath her bare feet. She had left her shoes in her hands, happy to feel the satisfying crinkle of the fall season.

"Amy...please don't sing that song..." Will pleaded, looking concerned as he strolled beside her, towering over the young child.

"Here comes the candle to light you to bed..." the youngun continued to chant with a giddy jump in her step. Her fiery hair blew about her shoulders in the breeze as she smiled at a robin singing nearby in a tree. “Hm…I wish I had someone to talk to like you do.” She began to sing to herself again, heading straight for a rusted nail in the dirt road that led to the forest.

Will’s sharp gaze caught the impending possible pain for his guarded, and he leaped into the air, causing a breeze with his wings to blow the sharp object into a nearby ditch, where it posed no threat to young Amy. “I’m here, Amy…even if you can’t see me…” Will alighted next to her, continuing to keep his eyes peeled for any sign of danger. The rather serious blonde angel blinked his large dark orbs, rummaging a hand through his long locks of hair and sighing at his unnoticed presence.

“I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves…I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves…I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves, and this is how it gooooes…” The twelve-year old was oblivious to her guardian angel. To anyone looking, it was just a single child skipping along the road, singing at the top of her lungs. The only way Will could be seen was if Amy was threatened, then the object of the danger gained the ability to see the angel, not the young girl.

The young man gave a heaving sigh, rubbing his temples as he moved a hand to his guarded’s back. It faded right through the girl’s clothing, but he knew it would happen. He gave a desparate moan as she struck up a second verse. “Amy, please! I’m getting a headache!”

The little girl took no notice of her angel’s groans, for she could only hear his whispers in her dreams. “I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves…”

Will tuned the girl out slightly, turning his attention to the path ahead. They were now entering the forest, and it was going to get dark. He fiddled with his thumbs as he walked, his chest heaving with every breath. Didn’t this girl every get tired? Suddenly, he heard a sound from far off. The child took no notice, and continued to sing. Because he was invisible to others, Will didn’t worry. “I’m here, Amy…I’m here.”

OoC: Hmm, most interesting, but should other angels be able to see other angels. I'm using Lyia, link in the sig.

BiC: Lyia looked around. She was in a forest. How did I get here? Haha, must have been daydreaming to much and didn't notice were I was walking. Well, atleast no mortals are here. Time to let the poor wings out. Lyia undid a strap holding back her wings. Instantly, her wings sprung out. She couldn't handle having to strap her wings to her back. She hated mortals for making her do this to herself. But atleast I have Lutai. I guess things are still okay. Lyia new she was lieing to herself. Things were not okay. She wanted dearly to return to Einhasad, but she knew that would be impossible. Lyia sighed, she couldn't handle the mortal realm!

"Come on Lutai, let us make camp and rest for the night. Perhaps tomorrow we will have better luck."

Lutai easily found a spot on the earthen ground that was soft. The wolf curled up into a ball and quickly fell asleep. Lyia could not only help but to smile. The young she-wolf was so calm, as if nothing would ever be better. Well, atleast she's comfy. She's really th------ What's this? Lyia could sense the pressence of another being. Was it a mortal, or an angel like herself. There is only one being. Wait, now I sense the pressence of another. What could it possibly be? Lyia silently got up and grabbed her mace. Whatever it was, was going to get a nasty suprise, if Lyia felt any hostility. She outstreched her wings and took silently into the air. She stayed under the treetops cover, but she could see the forest ground. She flew silently towards the pressence. As she got closer, she could definitly sense two beings. Lyia got close enough to where she could see one of the beings. What is this? I sense two life forces, yet I only see one. But the forces are next to each other. And just who is this girl anyway? Lyia figured, she would risk being seen by this girl. She wanted to see know who this girl and the other energy was. She dropped from the air and silently landed ten feet in front of the girl.

"Tell me girl, just who are you? And why do I sense two life forces, yet only see one!?"

Amy looked to the woman who had dropped down a few feet in front of her. Her eyes lit up and she let a small gasp emit from her mouth. "Oooo..."

Will lowered his eyebrows at the new form, one hand reaching for his sword. Don't worry, Amy...if she tries to attack you, I will not allow it.

The little child took a step closer towards the being, her hand outstretched. She listened to the question, but she had no idea how to answer the second. "I'm Amy..." She pointed to herself in wonder. "Are you my angel?"

Of course she's not your angel, Amy! I am! Will thought, following beside her as he analyzed the possible threat. She had a large mace, which looked formidable. Two wings were on her back, so she must have been...an angel...but how? How was she seen? Was she a messenger? Then why was she here? Questions raced through his mind, but he had no time to answer them. He couldn't make himself visible if he wanted to, only if someone attacked.

Amy had already made a grave mistake. She spotted, with enlarged eyes, the wolf sleeping in the distance. "Puppy!" she squealed, running towards it with her arms outstretched.

Amy! Amy, wait! That's not a puppy! Will took after her, sighing as she stopped near the wolf. "Amy, You have to learn to keep your hands to yourself!" he growled, a father's look of wear on his face.

"So, your name is Amy. And to let you know, this is no puppy, tis a wolf. A wolf from the northern reaches. Her name is Lutai. And you have yet to answer my --"

What is this? Is it another angel? But I can't see it, is it perhaps it is one of the guardian angels. Lyia new it had the energy of an angel. And it was a strong energy aswell. Perhaps, I can communicate with it? We angels are supposed to have a secret way of communication that humans can't hear.

"Tell me something, Amy. Why did you ask if I was your angel, when you obviously have one next to you?"

Lyia looked at the girl, she was either to dumb witted or she was ignoring her. She likes Lutai to much. I only have one worry, Lutai will get fed up with her and attack her. Lyia whistled for Lutai. The young girl looked up from where Lutai had once been.

"Why did you do that? I was having fun with your puppy."

"Tell me something, Amy. Why did you ask if I was your angel, when you obviously have one next to you?"

Amy looked up towards the woman with the large wings, still in awe. The wolf quickly left the child's hands at the whistle, and the girl puckered her lips. "Why did you do that? I was having fun with your puppy..." she trailed off, deciding to answer as best as she could. "What do you mean I have one next to me? Papa always said I had a guardian angel...watching...but I've never seen it..."

It... That in itself was a low blow. Will winced at her saddened face. Amy...if only I could show myself to you, I would... He turned to face the angel. "I'm sure she has sensed me...if only I knew a thing or two about being a guardian angel instead of having to come here unprepared, maybe I could ask her a thing or two about herself. She looks supsicious to me..." He pursed his lips, and slowly took a labored step closer towards the being, staying at Amy's side.

He listened to the woman's expressions, trying to figure out if he could communicate with her somehow...there was a way, wasn't there? But was she to be trusted?

OoC: ohhhhh, my dearest Sakume, this shall be most interesting.

BiC: She can't see him. But she must be able to atleast sense him. But, then again, she is a mortal. Lyia knew she needed some way to contact the guardian. But how, that question pondered her mind. Untill, it hit her. She would have to somehow transport her body, to the realm of angels. But this task, was nearly impossible. But perhaps she could somehow transport the other angel over to the realm of the mortals. No, it would be harsh. This angel, its body could possibley not make it. I have to find another method. Lyia looked again at the girl, what made her so special that she would have her own guardian angel.

"Tell me something, Amy. What did your father tell you about your guardian angel?"

(Indeed, indeed....)

"Okay....well, before daddy died, he talked about how I wouldn't be lonely..I've always been lonely. He said he'd send me a guardian angel to watch over me...I believe Daddy, but I'm just a little scared sometimes. I don't know if I really have a guardian angel or not..." She looked crushed, and a little teary-eyed. Her countenance fell greatly as she wondered. "I do hear voices at night sometimes in my dreams...and once, I saw a man..." Will's heart lept into his throat at this statement, and he listened intently for further information. "He was clothed in all white and had wings...he put a hand on my shoulder, and it felt warm...he was friendly, I could tell...I was going to talk to him, but then he began to disappear...and then he was gone. I still don't know if I have one..."

Of course you do... Will tucked a wing behind her, a supportive smile on his face, though his heart ached along with her. He hated it when she got like this.

"I wish I knew. But unless I see her, I won' t believe it."

HER?! Will almost fell over himself. Don't be foolish, Amy! I'm your guardian angel, and I'm a he!

"So daddy left to go with mommy...and I've been waiting...I've been waiting for my guardian angel..."

OoC: aww, how sad, and srry for not posting

BiC: Her, but its a him. I can feel his energy. Lyia smilied down at the young girl, she had obviously had a hard childhood.

"Ohh, but your angel has been with you the whole time. And to tell you the truth, its a him, not a her. I am not your guardian angel. I'm the exact opposite, I'm a fallen angel."

"A fallen angel. But you don't look like a fallen angel. You look like you have the angels beauty, not one of a fallen."

How does she know what a true fallen looks like? Has she seen one? Has she confronted one before? They are dangerous, I'm sure her guardian angel would have steered her away from them.

"Tell me Amy, have you ever seen a fallen, I mean a true fallen?"

"Fallen..." Amy stooped down to her knees, taking her backpack off and rummaging through it, taking out an old, faded book. "This..." She pointed to a picture with an angel and a human, the angel with blood on it's hands.

She held the page, holding it up to her. "This is a true fallen, isn't it? This is my book of angels..." She looked behind, seemingly staring straight into Will. "Papa is my guardian angel. My guardian angel...papa."

Will knelt down beside her, absorbing her emotions as she spoke. Amy...I'm...I'm not your father...he's not coming back...

"He said he'd never leave me...he said when he got to heaven..he'd send me my own guardian angel...and he must have...he must have. But...he couldn't have." Tears began to gather in the back of her eyes. "I can't see him...it's my fault..."

The tall blonde guardian stretched to his full height, walking over to the female fallen. Why was she fallen? What did she want? She was making his little girl saddened...he stretched a large wing to brush against her own, unsure of how to communicate.

Lyia felt the soft touch of an angels wing. What?!? I can fell him, but not see him! Lyia could feel the energy of this angel even stronger now. How unfortunate for this little girl. How sad she must have been. but with a guardian angel, she is protected.

"I am sorry for you, truly I am."

"Are you a true fallen?" Amy asked, the tears still welled up in her eyes.

"I am not a true fallen. I didn't really even break a true Einhasad law. I was unfortunatly caught in the wrong place at the wrong time."

"How sad. You must really miss your home."

"I've gotten over it. And yes, I do miss my home."

Perhaps, the longer I talk to this girl, I can find a way to communicate with her angel. Or perhaps, he is her guardian angel, I could trick him into revieling himself. A sly smirk appeared on her face, that is what she would do, she would trick him into showing himself. I just hope this angel doesn't get mad at me.

"Amy, can I get you to come with me?"

"To where?"

"Ohh no where special, just a little walk around."

"Okay. . . ."

Perfect, she won't even see it coming. Lyia started walking and Amy followed her. Lyia started to slow down but Amy did not notice and kept walking. As Lyia got behind her, she knocked Amy out with an attack to the back off Amy's neck. I can feel the aura of an angry angel now. Time to get out of here! Lyia picked up the girl and easily flew off into the east.

Will's eyes flashed briefly as he rocketed after her, his speed increasing every moment. He knew it! Angels of this kind were not to be trusted! How interesting...this was going to be a rough battle. He could now be vividly seen with his thick blonde hair waving out behind him, and appeared in front of Lyia, his heart thumping.

"Rose of Sharon!" He drew his sword, halting the blade inches away from her face, where it glittered like a silver sliver of doom. "Put...her...down."

"Wait! You don't understand!" Lyia protested with a shout.

"The hell I don't!" Will shouted, his eyes snapping towards her like a trap.

Suddenly, Lyia seemed to drop Amy, letting the girl seemingly drop out of her hands. "Drop your sword! Or I'll let her go!" Will couldn't tell if she was serious or not. They were at an extremly high altitude...would he be able to catch her in time?

"Okay! Okay! Don't drop her! Please!" He slowly sheathed Rose of Sharon, blinking in submission temporarily. "Don't...drop her." He was planning to soon attack her the instant she relieved Amy.

OoC: finally, some action.

BiC: "As I said, you do not understand. I normaly hate doing this kind of thing, but i know how you guardian angels work."

Will still had his blade point in her face. My, is he not cute. This shall be most ineteresting.

"Let her go, now!"

"My my, a bit touchy aren't we."

"I'll say it once more, let her go!"

"Alright."

Lyia slipped out of the air and right as it looked like she was about to hit the ground, she stopped. Lyia let Amy slip from her grasp and as Amy touchedthe ground, Will attacked! Luckily for Lyia, she had predicted this.

"You really want to attack me. If you do, I only have one choice, to use my skills. But then, your little girl over there would freeze, and I have no intention of killing an innocent!"

Will hesitated for a moment, as if deciding whether it was true or not. "If what you say is true, then I will relinquish my weapon, for I cannot allow harm to befall my guarded..." He slowly lowered Rose of Sharon, staring at Lyia. "If that's true, then you are not interested in fighting...why would you pretend?" He stood up to his full height, moving so that he was over his guardian's figure. "Explain youself, then...who are you and what do you want?! I must tell you, I'm not very happy with you because you knocked her unconcious..." he trailed off, brushing her hair behind her eyes.

Lyia bit her lip, how would she explain her current actions. How could I possibly tell him that it was only to make him appear before me?

"Well, lets start with the first question, who am I. I am Lyia, the ice angel. And what I want, is to get back to my home Einhasad. You see, I was banushed because I was caught at the wrong place at the right time. A demon, name Luana, had stolen a sacred scroll, that just happens to be my element, ice. I was blamed, but my snetance would not have been that harsh. It would have been a simple either locked up in the holy jail for a week, or grounded for about a month. But I just had to bring up the name Luana, and bingo, I get banished."

"You still did not answer my question, of why you pretended like you wanted to fight?"

"It was to be able to see you. I could sense you, just not see you. And when you touched my wing, I felt your touch."

"You had said something about you knew how we worked, what did you mean?"

"Well, most of the guardian angels that I used to know said that if the one that they are guarding is in danger, they would appear and save them. It seems that I was right."

"It seems you were."

"Now tell me, were you truly asked by her father to protect her?"

"No." Will stated, a bit sadly as he brushed Amy's hair out of her eyes once more. "Her father...is...well he's...he didn't ask me to protect her. I was ordered here without my consent. In my heaven, I was in love..."

"In love? With whom?" The angel asked, tilting her head.

"Her name was Selene. She and I planned to someday wed, but she...died, the king said...and I was left alone. I found out a plot by the king to overthrow all of heaven, and that he was slowly poisoning the queen, I also found out that he had sent Selene to earth, and not that she was killed."

"Wow."

"Yes. Well, I was going to tell someone, but the king found me out. I was sent against my will to be a guardian angel to Amy, and I can only leave her if she dies. I will find Selene, if she's here, and tell her of her...difficulty, as well as finding a way to be visible...to her." He looked down towards Amy.

"Sounds like we have a lot in common, seeing as we were both unrighteously banished, and we both have a difficult problem.." the angel muttered under her breath.

"What do you mean we both have the same problem?"

"We were both banished unfairly. Though, we were banished differently, it still comes down to the same thing."

"I see your point. But still, it doesn't change the fact that we are somewhat fallen angels."

"I am, but your not. You were sent to be a guardian angel. So technically, you are still an angel."

Amy began to stir next to Will. Damn, looks like she's waking up. We're going to have to cut this talk short.

"Look." Will stated, holding his hands up to the female. "I hate to be rude, but I'm not really in the mood for chit-chat...I have bigger problems. Not that you're not interesting or anything, but I have to worry about other things." The angel said, crossing his arms.

The little red-head stirred, and already he was becoming slightly transparent. "Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't attack Amy again...or I may be forced to harm you." His voice began to grow slightly echo-like, as if he were in a cavern of some sort.

Lyia looked at the guardian angel, was this hostility that she was sensing. She figured that he did not want to be seen.

"Yea yea, just do your little disappereing act before she fully regains consciousness."

"I'm warning you. Hurt, and I won't be so forgiving. Bye for now."

"Yea, maybe another time."

Just like that, the guardian angel had disappreared. Lyia looked at Amy. Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up.

"What happened, and why does my neck hurt?"

"I'm sure its nothing to worry about Amy. Come on, lets find somewhere to sit down and have something to eat. I'll find Lutai!"

Will watched the female angel with growing disdain. She reminded him too much of Selene, a part of him still ached to hold her, to kiss her...he missed those nights so long ago. He began to think. Guardian angels did not age...not like humans. When she grew old enough...would she...would she be as pretty? Would his feelings towards her be justified? Probably not...but then again, it was possible. He at least hoped so. The things he felt now were rather wrong.

Amy turned to look at Will, confused for a split second. She could have sworn she felt that warm feeling she always knew only in her dreams. She shook her head and gave Lyia a small smile. "Okay." She began to skip a little as she walked in barefeet, humming to herself. "I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves..."

Lyia looke at the girl. Not that song! Anything but that one! That song, is soooooooo anoying. Please dear lord, don't make her sing! As if the lord had ignored Lyia, Amy began singing the horribley annoying song.

"Amy, you wouldn't mind not singing that song. I have a headache right now."

"Nope, gotta sing it."

"Why?!?"

"Because, it gets on everybodies nerves!"

"But -"

Amy started singing again, this time louder. Can't her guardian angel do anything about this?!?
