The Dark Thing (Hyrulian Hero)

OoC: Me vs. Hyrulian hero. I got the title from my favorite book, A wrinkle in time.

BiC:

It was a dark, stormy night on earth. Kamiyaka was waiting for someone....she had hoped she would trust enough to both fight and show she was a shadow to. Kamiyaka Akura hoped he would keep it a secret.

She waited....and waited. But nobody came, at least not yet. The sky got darker, and she thought it was safe to transform. She then turned into her shadow form, her long silver-white hair covered with a misty wetness she didn't like that much. She never battled as her shadow form before, now it was her first time. She looked forward to it...but in an odd way that made her shiver.

OoC: I know its short, but it will have to do for now.

Vanyel ran his hand through his messy hair, looking around the dark street. A light rain came down in thin sheets, gathering on the vampire's trench coat and trailing down the back and arms in long trickles. The backs of large Victorian-style houses lined the alley, their figures nothing more than imposing shadows watching the lone being stroll along. Vanyel reached up with one finger and wiped away the rain drops that had gathered on his sunglasses, his violet orbs scanning the alley even as he preformed the action.

There was someone here, he knew. But who or what, exactly, he hadn’t a clue. The vampire tilted his head slightly, sniffing the air daintily. Even in a cleansing rain such as this, his superior sense of smell should have detected any mortal beings nearby, yet he found nothing. The possibilities raced through Vanyel’s mind. Was it a vampire? Somehow, he didn’t think so. A celestial being? He should have detected it, if there was one.

The vampire’s thoughts were interrupted as a dark figure stepped out into the open alleyway. The dark-haired man smiled smugly. Even if he couldn’t identify it, his superior senses had picked the being up, reassuring the vampire in his capability. As the two drew closer, he could see that creature appeared to be a young girl, although it was obvious to him that it wasn’t human, given his earlier speculations. Vanyel sketched a low bow, sweeping his arm out wide.

“How, Milady. And who would you be?” He asked silkily.

The girl, Kamiyaka, looks at the vampire person and sighed. Her black dress was soaked and her red eyes seemed to have a slight sign of being mad. She walked another direction. "I shouldn't talk to strangers." She says. she walks behind the building. The next thing Vanyel notices is an innocant-looking 4 year old walk from where Kamiyaka was, but Vanyel actually thought this was a normal girl. The girl was humming. "la lalala la, la, lalala la, la, lalala la,la, lalala" she was singing a song from a history movie she saw. Then she started humming the Legend of Zelda Theme song.

Vanyel was confused though, how that girl...the wierd girl in black had simply walked away. So he attacked the girl. The girl turned ito Kamiyaka. She screamed,"LET GO OF ME YOU MORON! LET GO!" She seemed mad. "I am waiting for someone...a....person to fight. Would you be him?" She asked. Vanyel Dropped her and she turned around. "I am Kamiyaka Asuka...Only i am allowed to say my last name or something bad happens. I am a shadow, and i come from a small town that was destroyed by shadows. I was normal girl then, until those shadows touched me....i felt cold, and then i was a shadow" She said. Vanyel barley believed her.

Vanyel smirked at the child. Of course she had transformed. A four-year-old girl didn't just walk around a dark alley corner after a mysterious non-human girl had just gone around it. He was confused, however, but the girl's sudden outburst and lifestory. People didn't generally blurt out their past to strangers. Less told them that they were looking for a fight. Even less than those were little girls, human or not. The vampire shrugged however, and reached up to grab Soul Blood.

"You desire a fight?" he asked, his slender fingers curling around the blade. "Very well. I am rather interesting in discovering what sort of being you are. You may say that you are a shadow, but I have never met one and would not expect one to proclaim their lineage to the world." His eyes flashed, glowing a black, pure white. "However, if you are what you say, know that I have a keen interest in knowing just what a being such as you can do. You have your fight."

Kamiyaka took out a small dagger. Vanyel laughed. "Is THAT all you have" Vanyel yelled at her. "No. If i touch you, you might seem a bit....different." Kamiyaka said. "Your a vampire, arn't you? Well then...." She said. Its started to become daylight. The shadow girl had vanished infront of Vanyel. The city started to get more active. "She could be anyone" Vanyel said to himself, but then he saw a sad-looking young girl sitting at the door of a small apartment.

It was Kamiyaka when she was a young girl. Somehow she turned herself into her before she was a shadow, which made her look oddly like Chii from the movie Chobits, as a matter a fact, when she was young, she seemed exacty like Chii. Chii was her favorite character when she was little, so she made herself look like it. The young Kamiyaka was humming the theme song for Chobits. "Chii sad. Chii very very sad"

Vanyel shook his head, closing his eyes. Illusions were useless against him; he was must too clever. Under the false light, people, and noises, he could still feel the rain massaging his face, could smell the crisp scent of rain and concrete, could heard the faint pitter-patter of puddles. No, he would not be fooled. The vampire's eyes burst open, and he immediately turned towards the girl sitting on the steps.

"Please do better than that!" He called, raising his broadsword above his head. "If you don't, there's a good chance you'll end up dead, and I would want that!" He whipped his arms downward, heaving Soul Blood across the alley towards the girl. Kamiyaka, back in her normal form, leapt to the slick cobblestones, the broadsword flying above her head to crash into the wooden door at the top of the steps. The wood splintered under the thrown blade's impact, sending white-washed slivers raining down on Kamiyaki.

Vanyel held out a hand, and the sword proceeded to move around on it's own, pulling itself free of the door and turning around it mid-air to point towards the fallen girl.

OoC: ITS Kamiyaka

BiC:

Kamiyaka looked at Vanyel and smirked. "Let me touch you, young vamire boy..." Kamiyaka had walked forward a few steps with her hand infront of her, almost touching Vanyel.

Vanyel knew this was a trick...She had touched him and he saw himself when he was a child. It was not an illusion, it was real. He was REALLY seeing himself. "Whoever i touch i show them themselfs." said Kamiyaka. "and while your distracted....." Kamiyaka stabbed Vanyel hard. Then she used her dark fire magic to catch him on fire, then she threw him to the ground. "Your hopless" Kamiyaka said, then she was gone for the rest of the day-until night.

Vanyel canme back to himself to find his clothes on fire. Dark fire. Patting the black flames out, the vampire noticed the knife wound in his stomach. Crimson blood gushed out slowly, running over his hands and down his front. Smirking at the wound, the vampire merely held his hand over it and waited. It would heal on its own soon enough.

Looking around, he discovered that the girl was gone. Picking up his sunglasses from where they had fallen from his face, Vanyel wondered at the strange encounter. That girl is an odd one. Never before have I met one of her ilk. The vampire shrugged off teh short-lived battle however and got to his feet, looking down the alley both ways before continuing the course that had led him here.

Kamiyaka was nowhere to be found, because she was on top of a skyscraper. Even vampires cant breathe that well up there. She was on the highest skyscraper in the world, she could breathe fine. She stood there staring into space. "I wonder were my true friend and rival is..." She said to herself.
