“Chuh… this town ain’t so tuff,” Kakashi said as he as he then knocked out the last robber. “I came here ‘cause I thought I’d fight someone with strength. I’ll kill Droz when I get back,” The prince said as he walked along the street.

“Sir!” yelped an elderly man. “Thank you, thank you for getting rid of those awful men, here,” he said taking out some silver coins, “As a thank you. Please, accept,” The man said as he placed it on his palm and gestured it towards the prince’s way. Kakashi chuckled at this offer and said,

“No, old timer, you keep it. As a matter a fact…” Kakashi said as he looked at the badly broken store, “…Here take some,” The Wood Elf closed the old timer’s hand and took the other and dropped a good 10 gold coins in the man’s other hand. He looked at Kakashi with surprised eyes. “You’ll need this to help rebuild your shop,” Kakashi said with a smirk. The man looked at the coins and said, “Thank you.”

“What a waste” The Prince said with annoyance. He had hoped to fight someone strong, but his journey was all for not. There was no one, but a just a few weak robbers. “Disappointing” Kakashi said as he came to a stop. He had not been paying attention at all about where he was going. It was about time he noticed he was on the side of a mountain. He was pretty high up so going back down and going around it would just use up his time. So he decided to just go up and down the other side.

‘Thinner…’ Kakashi thought as he continued to go up the mountain. ‘…the air is starting to get thinner. I’m going to have to watch my breathing from here on,’ Kakashi thought as he reached the top. “Interesting,” the prince thought aloud. “The clouds, they’re right in front of me. Heh, Brolio would get a kick out of this, or maybe not, I can’t really tell with him,” The Elf said lightly. “Well, time to clear a path to get to the other side,” Kakashi then pulled out his scythe and grabbed it in the middle with both hands. He then started twirling it with great speed. ‘Better go fast, I need to get back home as soon as possible’ The Elfin Prince thought.

He started with a quick sprint forward, but then turned into a very fast running. Kakashi started going so fast that it would be almost impossible for him to stop. ‘Good thing I can see’ He said as the turning of his scythe blew away the clouds. Faster and faster the Prince went, when all of a sudden a man appeared out of nowhere. Kakashi’s eyes widened with surprise and he neared the most likely soon to be dead man. However, the man quickly jumped out of the way avoiding the scythe’s blade. As the man jumped away, looked into the man’s eyes. His fathomless eyes reminded him of his.

As Kakashi attempted his best to stopped, he heard the man pull something out. The prince stopped and turned around and saw the man holding a cloch. ‘Damn, I guess battle is unavoidable now. I just hope this one will be worth it’ Kakashi thought as he readied his scythe and gathered his energy for battle.

The wind pulled at his form, causing the soft velvet white tunic to flap like a white standard of peace. The high sun’s rays reflected from the decorated greaves that were strapped to both forearms and shins. His dark lids were closed against the brightness, embracing the world as a whole from the precipice of this mountain. Above him, the mage lights swarmed through the air, he had never seen them this close before, in the daylight too. His gripped his Cloch tighter, the clear-blue surface peeking through the gaps in his large hand. The lights, attentively at first, came down to meet his Sky-stone. The tendrils of rainbow energy wrapped around his arm, thickening the spiral scars that ran up to his elbow captured in the gleaming depth of the Tear of the World.

She had told him to ascend this mountain, that a test of their power would surely meet them here. And the green Valkyrie needed a test, so far, she had surpassed all opponents Kylac had put her up to, and he needed something harder to better connect to the Cloch na thintri, to journey into its deepest depths. His feet were rooted to the stone, his mind flung open to the sky. He could feel the other Clochs, far far away on the spectral landscape, in another dimension.. They pulled at his consciousness, wondering how far he could have journeyed in just one day from the small town he had been in, and whose Cloch holder was now so far away.

The soft crunch of the stones under an un-stealthy foot alerted the holder to the coming of another. The thick mist, which was the clouds, hid their form. Kylac’s royal blue eyes widened, trying to take in more light as to see the man, what was once a sea of navy, was now a halo of sapphire, around a pupil of midnight black. Then a whirring sound filled the air afore him, thinning the fog as it got closer. A few tendrils melted away, being sucked back, and then obliterated by a twirling metal blade. Reflexively, the Holder of the Tear jumped back, and watched as the man stopped. Looking at him with eyes similar to his own pointed ears sticking from his head.

What creature of faery be this, the olive skinned man thought to himself, raising a thick brow, a hand going to his stone. His movements agile and light, muscles contracting and he spun to face the man he had evaded. In his cloch vision, the man glowed with a power he had never before witnessed, and with grim determination, having faith that this was the man he was destined to battle, Kylac unleashed the power of the Tear upon the world.

The clouds that Kakashi had just blown away a few seconds before had quickly come back and have enshrouded both Kylac and Kakashi, as if this were a battle to be seen in only the dark. ‘Heh, it’s good for this guy I wasn’t Brolio, ‘else he’d of died the second this started, what with the clouds and all’ Kakashi thought. ‘Thankfully, these water puffs give me an advantage’ he said as he gathered his electric energy. Kakashi started running in a random direction and then started to zigzag.

‘Crawler!’ The Prince yelled in his mind as he shot electricity in one direction. “Nothing,” Kakashi said softly. ‘Thanks to the water molecules in the air, I can change the direction and hit him even if he jumps out of the way.’ Kakashi thought as he searched for the man with his electricity. ‘Got something!’ Kakashi thought as his electric attack had gotten bite of something.

The gentle beating of wings was the only sound that penetrated the heavy mist, twin plumes of clear air surrounding giant wings like those of a dove, more pure and white than freshly fallen snow. By chance, the back draft would harry away a tad of mist, revealing the iridescent green tendrils floating in the air, or the soft sea foam of the Valkyrie’s skin. A light flashed and then the flying form moved with it. Taking the bolt of lightening in the chest, Gaia did not seem affected, her russet eyes still secreting an occasional tear to join those perpetually upon her chin.

In her slender teal hand, the smooth black of ironwood slowly rotated. The immense halberd looked ill placed in comparison to the small figure of the Valkyrie, her emerald hair streaming around her head in the turbulence of the mountain peak, earthen brown eyes vivid, almost bronze with the sheen of never ending tears. The heavy metal axe blade pointed toward the ground now, as if the warrior woman could barely hold it up, the spike at the tip digging into the hardpacked stone of the mountain peak. Her widely curved wings caught the air once, and then in a flurry, the Valkyrie darted forward, the axe blade flashing through the air at the elven figure.
