Ambush on Redstar IV (Mikey B)

(OoC: Okay Im going to be using Krayt, and I see lament is a wee bit weak for Krayt, so Im gonna go to a planet that weakens his powers, K? Wether it weakens lament or not is totally up to you, but I have kinda an unfair advantage here!)

BiC:

The night sky covered the small little town of Whitewood. The lights slowly dimmed, and the sounds of horses hooves clogging the cobblestones slowly faded away. The only sounds that could be heard were crickets chirping and the rustling of leaves from animals in the nearby forest...

As sleep lingered over the citizens, just about putting them to a deep sleep, a strong wind blew through the middle road, blowing up nearby leaves, pebble, and litter amongst the street. The wind made a sharp cracking sound, awakening everyone in Whitewood!

"What was it?" "Who was it" "Was it the wind?" "Are we under attack?" the citizens whispered amongst themselves, as the sharp wind blew away in the forest....


I gotta hurry to that portal, it may contain information about what happened on Sytonia! Krayt thought to himself as he dashed through the trees at lightning speed.

He had been told from a mysterious voice that the portal would have information on his homeworld, rather it was true or not was entirely up to fate, yet fate seemed to have a major disliking towards Krayt...

As he neared the end of the forest, he saw it! A huge red vortex, spinning in the distance! With only hope at hand, Krayt entered it....

One second later he stepped out on what appeared to be a barren deserted area. Much like Sytonia, but the ground was literally red! Red sand covered the surface, with small rock formations jutting out of the sand.

Not only was the terrain new to Krayt, but it also made him feel funny. He tried to jump, but he jumped no higher then two feet. He then tried to lift a small boulder nearby, but could barely lift it! It couldnt have weighed too much more then 1 ton!

"Foolish boy" rang a voice.

Krayt turned to see a cloaked figure, smaller then he.

"Who are you?! Where am I!?" Krayt asked angrily.

"My job is not to answer questions, but to finish you off" The figure answered calmly.

Krayt tried to hurl the boulder at her, but he was barely even able to toss it! She had definately caught him at a weak point. No longer would his super strength or jumping ability apply here, he could have to use his other abilitys!

With that he drew his sword and motioned for the figure to attack....

Lament cracked her knuckles, already noting how the gravity on this planet was many times that of Earth. Of course, soundwaves weren’t affected by gravity. The only way that this planet would hinder her was in a fist to fist fight.

“I wonder why Master wants this man dead,” she thought, beginning to circle Krayt. “It’s obvious that he has incredible strength, but that’s not something uncommon. All of us homunculi have similar strength, and there are other beings with three times our strength. Strength must not be the motive…”

The homunculi lurched towards the Sytonian and found herself stumbling. She’d anticipated that the gravity would be different, but not this different. It took just that one moment for Krayt to thrust his sword into Lament’s gut.

He twisted the blade and swung it horizontally, tearing it out of the homunculus. Lament fell forward in a pool of blood, her hood coming off. She lay there for a moment. Just as expected, the Sytonian seemed to be hesitating about attacking again.

Lament didn’t know if this man were afraid of killing somebody, as it certainly would seem that he had. She began to breathe heavily so as to sound as though she were in her death throes. The homunculus rolled onto her back, sloshing in a puddle of blood as she did so.

The wound had regenerated long ago, but the fact that her clothing regenerated with her made it so that the Sytonian didn’t see. She looked up at Krayt as though pleading with him not to harm her. She was often told by Deceit that she was a good actor. This was one of those times when acting could lead to a quick finish.

Lament added a nice touch to her performance by coughing blood between heavy breaths. A foe with their guard down would be much easier to kill. She closed her eyes, unable to tell if she was fooling him or not. Regardless, she decided to strike up a pre-fake death conversation.

“Th-they told me to k-k-k,” she said, taking heavy breaths between words. She was making this story up, of course, but her goal wasn’t to tell the truth. “They said they’d kill my s-son if I didn’t kill y-y-you…”

“That sounds pretty real,” she thought to herself. “If he tries to kill me again before this whole act is over, he’s a smart one. I wonder if I should choke him or try to impale him on one of those rock formations…”

Krayt hesitated, After all of that she was dead? She lured him to another planet for a trap and it was over this quickly? Yet she seemed dead, never had Krayt seen so much blood come from someone, yet he had encoutered beings that bled alot and still lived.

Krayt peered over her, no breathing, and the blood seemed to have stopped flowing. Not taking any chances, Krayt stabbed her one more time in the stomach, to his surprise she bled again! Before Krayt could react she pushed him off of her, and kicked him. But not just anywhere, she kicked him right in his weak spot. Weather it was luck or an advantage she already knew of was beyond Krayt.

He stumbled, holding his side from the blow. He was offguard and she hit him like a sledge hammer. As he looked up he noticed she pulled the burning dagger out of her.

"Interesting, your blade burns as hot as flames, lets see how well you handle it," The girl said as she glared at Krayt with the dagger in hand.

Krayt tried to dodge, but it was to late, she nailed him on the side of his neck. However it did not cut through, it merely burned his skin slightly.

"Hehe, Im a little bit harder to break then that!" Krayt said proudly. Having recovered from his wound, Krayt came up with a plan. The girl tried to slash at Krayt again, only this time she missed....

Before she could react she noticed the blade in her hand disappeared! Looking around frantically, she turned and noticed Krayt behind her, smirking.

"Lose this?" Krayt said as he held up the dagger. Before the girl could do anything, Krayt picked her up and tossed her into a nearby boulder.

Now I see why my masters want him dead... The girl thought.

"So you gotta name?" Krayt asked.

The girl stood up from the dust and said in a low tone, "Lament".....

Lament cracked her neck. The impact from the boulder broke several bones in her back and shoulders, but those quickly healed. Even as she stood facing her opponent she could feel the bones reconnecting.

“His weak spot must be his side,” she thought, remembering how her strike to his side did much more damage than her second attack. Knowing this man’s weak spot would help her a lot in this fight.

“And your name is?” she asked, trying to start up a conversation. Having a conversation with an opponent usually caused them to lower their guard slightly. The lower his guard was, the more likely she’d be to deliver a crushing blow to his side.

“You’re trying to kill me and you don’t even know my name?” Krayt replied. Lament shrugged. It was true that Master had simply told her to catch and kill this man once he went through the portal, yet he didn’t even tell her the man’s name. It didn’t matter though. She was Master’s servant, and she’d do anything he told her to do without question.

She suddenly lunged towards Krayt, catching the Sytonian off guard. She performed a roundhouse kick aimed at his side, only to have her leg severed by his blade. Before her leg even fell to the ground a new one grew in its place.

Lament used the momentum from her kick to spin around and drive her heel into Krayt’s side. The blow caused him to stumble, just as it did the first time, but he managed to counterattack with his sword. The homunculus didn’t seem to notice when her head was cleaved off.

Her body fell to the ground just as her head started to regenerate. This time Krayt wasn’t taking any chances. Lament scowled when she saw that he was bringing his weapon down on her.

The homunculus rolled out of the way and snapped her fingers. She focused on the soundwaves produced from this gesture, morphing them to form a perfect sonic boom. The attack knocked Krayt off of his feet and into a nearby rock formation.

Lament charged after him before the dust even settled and tackled the Sytonian to the ground. They landed on the ground with the homunculus on top, punching him relentlessly in his face. She knew that it wouldn’t do very much, but she wanted this fight to at least last for a while.

OoC: Kay, I underestimated Lament and will most likely lose. (not my own words, someone told me so in a PM) So Im gonna give Krayt his full strength back. (Like it will matter as Lament is significantly more stronger then Krayt, Also not my own words)

BiC: Before Lament could nail another punch Krayt reached up, grabbed her neck, snapped it and tossed her into another boulder. Krayt knew she would recover from that, but it bought him enough time to come up with a plan.

Okay, this gravity limits my strength, my jumping ability, and probably my durability, But it doesnt limit my speed and my other ability.... Krayt thought to himself as he dusted himself off.

Lament had just recovered from her neck injury as well as the other wounds she had suffered from the collision. She then eyed the Sytonian. He wasnt very big, and wasnt very old yet he had quite alot of power for his size and age, But Lament was given this mission and she intended to come out the victor!

"Okay Boy, lets see how you handle this attack!" Lament yelled to Krayt. She then waved her hand in a circular motion and pushed forward, creating a very large sonic boom, heading straight for Krayt.

Krayt tried to dodge, but the blast caught him, sending him into one of the few remaining boulders on the field. Krayt stood up and realized something. The sonic boom was going at the speed of sound when it hit him, perhaps if he went at the speed of light he could tear open a portal to a diffrent dimension, hopefully it would lead him to earth....

Knowing he wouldnt get another chance with the sonic boom, Krayt used his last ability, Time rewind. Suddenly Krayt flew away from the rock, making it recover, and the sonic boom rewound right to the part where Lament had released it. With less then a second left, Krayt went into time freeze mode, and charged at the slow moving soundwaves.

Krayt dashed through the forming boom, at light speed, hoping that his plan would work. With only a small chance of success, it did! As Krayt halted and turned he noticed the air began to tear and form a small red vortex. Krayt ran and dived into the portal, followed closely by Lament.

As Krayt opened his eyes he noticed he was somewhere in a forest, possibly close to where he had departed. He could also feel his full strength returning, as well as his jump power.

"So you think you have an advatage now, think again, I know your weak spot," Lament said calmly.

"Then come get me," Krayt snapped back proudly....
