The Azure pendant and the Ruby Blade(4 people maximum)

OoC: Ok i am making this BA to get used to my new character Louis, link in siggy. This is a quest , not a battle. try not to make any big decisions for other people's characters, as you do not know what that character would say or do, only their maker does.

BiC:Louis entered the shabby tavern. Candles gave the room a low light giving the tavern a warm atmosphere. He was breathing heavily and quickly slammed the door behind him. Louis was in luck, they were almost on him when he had seen the small town. Louis cursed Vedin under his breath and walked slowly to the table. He sat down with a large sigh and got his breathing under control. He waved off the waitress and rubbed his eyes. Louis was about to pull down the bandana covering his mouth and nose and hood but thought better of it. Even in this light he would be noticed. Louis sighed again and put his head in his hands. The meeting was a complete failure and he had barely escaped with his life. And worst, he didn't get the pendant and Vedin took the blade. Vagor would be furious, if Louis would live to report that is. Louis cursed Vedin once more before looking around. He hated to admit it but he needed some help. No one here would e able to help, they were all drunks and young merchants, here to squander their earnings on girls and ale. Louis’s neck began to tingle and he felt like he was being watched. He turned his head around slowly and saw a dark figure sitting in the corner. Yes, that was definitely someone who could help. This person didn't seem like a drunk or a young merchant at all. they had a presence about them that drew Louis's attention. Louis got up and walked over to the person sitting in the corner.

BiC:

Vaion was sitting at a table. Most people in the tavern steered clear of him- He had a notorious reputation for the evil acts he had commited. The gaurds would not approach him if they saw him in the streets; Vaion was a being of great and terrible power. He sat there, with nothing more to do, than watch the other people drinking away. However, there was one person who caught his attention. Vaion sensed that this person was a vampire.

Louis walked over to Vaion. Vaion watched, glaring at the man. Louis stopped in front of Vaion, as if he were going to ask a question... Louis stopped in front of Vaion. Vaion did not answer, for he rarely spoke, and only stared at Louis, as if he was asking, "What do you want?"

Louis stared back, never faltering, his red pupils glowing slightly. Louis slid a small pouch over to the pantheran and he folded his arms. The pantheran picked up the pouch and dumped the contents onto the table. Gold spilled out onto the table.

"Payment for your help" Louis said staring into the pantheran's eyes. he fingered the gold then put it all back in the pouch.

"Whats the job?" he said putting the pouch in a pocket.

"I need help finding and killing a vampire. He betrayed me and now he has some very important items that i need back. When i get them back i will give you a choice on which one to use. They both can do somthing for you, and you just have to choose. I will warn you though, there are some consiquences for the use of them." Louis said.

"So, will you help?"

Vaion stood up. "Vampires..." Vaion said, softly. Through spiritual voices, Louis heard the words, "He can relate...", as if uttered by a spectre which seemed decievingly innocent. Louis asked if Vaion would come along, for a second time. Vaion then turned to Louis. Vaion looked at Louis, knowing of his vampiric condition, by pure instinct. "Vampire against vampire... Should be interesting...", the voice spoke again. This strange voice had a connection wtih Vaion, somehow...

"Hunting... May it begin..." Vaion said to Louis. Louis took this as a 'yes'. Vampires have always been similiar to the demon-infested Vaion... Killing, tasting the blood of their victims... Vaion liked the idea of combating a creature similiar to his own ways.

Once again, the soft, spiritual voice entered Louis's head. "He wants to know if there will be more hunters..." asked the phantom.

OoC: Um i am placing a permanant warning of gore on this thread, just because of the nature and habits of both of our characters.

BiC:"We should get going. Vedin had told the local hunters through a tip where the meeting was and i was ambushed. I lost them but they will soon be here" Louis said.

Suddenly a whole side of the tavern exploded in a big fiery ball. chunks of earth, stone and patrons rained down as the smoke settled. Vaion and Louis rolled to the side as they heard the twang of a bow being fired and two arrows landed in the wall right where they were standing. Steel rang out as Louis drew his blade and he crouched into a low run. Vaion leaped through the air, a loud roar, almost a laugh emitted from his lips as his axe connected with a hunter's head. Louis jumped through the smoke and dust, launching himself off a large piece of derbis and landed on top of another. The hunter's head seemed to explode as the axe chopped clean through and part way through the body and Vaion was sprayed with blood. The hunter louis had landed on pulled out a knife and slashed at Louis's leg. He dodged it easily with a hop back and smote the hunter's arm clean off with a powerful swing. The arm flew off into the night and the hunter screamed in agony. The screames stopped however when Louis rammed his sword through the hunter's gut. Meanwhile Vaion swung his arm and a chain whipped around a hunter's neck. Vaion wrenched the chain back and pulled the hunter into his axe. He whipped the chain back and it came off the hunter's neck. The last hunter watched with wide eyes as the two menacing figures both turned to him at the same time. Louis turned to Vaion and they both nodded. They both sped towards him and both hit him and he flew back into a tree. A satisfying "CRACK" resonated(spl?) and they both smiled slightly. Both of their heads turned as Hooves could be heard pounding up the road. Soon a group of about 3 horsemen. They rode white horses and all of the hunters dressed in black cloaks and blue steel armor with attack wolves at their sides came riding into view. They wielded long spears engraved with runes and a sword with a steel handle and the blade was a shaft of petrified wood sharpened at the end.(if you don't know what petrified wood is, it's fossilized wood that is hard as metal)

"Nothing is ever easy" Louis muttered under his breath.

OoC: P.S.- People their are still spots open, please if you are going to join, do it now.

ALRIGHT! so seraphim is going to join but he needs to get his new character approved so we will wait around for him.

Ooc: Yay! Sorry bout the wait... I'll be using Kari, link in my sig...

She was walking around the town, when suddenly, there was a loud explosion. "What in the nine hells?" She muttered, and ran towards the sound, as she came upon it she saw 3 knights they looked pretty tough, just through the hole in the wall she could see a young man, about 20 with red eyes, and a tall furry, feline humanoid. The knights charged forth, and one of them called out, "Kill the Pantheran! But keep the Vampire alive, Vedin wants to take care of him personally!" Vaion let loose a deafening roar, and plunged into the group of knights, his axe collided with one of the horse's legs, severing it in a spray of blood and bone. He was like a whirlwind of death, but he was not the only one, Louis jumped onto one of the knights, and shoved his blade through the hole in the armor at the base of the neck of one of the knights. The horse with the severed leg writhed in agony and pinned the rider to the floor. Kari ran foward, her hands bright with blue electricity, she grabbed the back of the knight and a large bolt of lightning surged through him, a scream of agony rent the air.

The dust settled, the knights were dead, and Kari's voice spoke up, "Who were those men?"

Louis looked surprised by the Elf who jumped in to help them. Wait, she wasn't a Elf though. She was too short and she had even softer features and a more petite build, this was a nymph. Louis pulled down his hood and bandana.

"They were vampire hunters" Louis said kicking a body next to him.

"Allow me to introduce myself, i am Louis, and this is, well i never caught his name. pleased to meet you"

"It's Vaion" The feline humaniod muttered. Louis held out his hand in greeting. Kari stared at the hand and looked at Louis, then Vaion. She took it wearily and shook it slowly. Kari studied Louis's features closely, and there was no doubt it was he who they had been hunting. She stared into his eyes and suddenly felt like she was in a trance. She felt numb and the sound cut out all around her. He had alot of pain and suffering in his eyes, but he covered it with a smile. She jerked and came back to reality when Louis spoke.

"I am in need of assistance, if you would like to join us. A vampire has cheated me and my ruler out of two very important items and i plan to get them back. So will you help me?"

Vaion jabbed Louis in the side. "I mean us?"

She stuck out her hand and Louis shook it.

"Sure"

OoC: 4th character arrives! Clark's jumping in this beech! (Just a note, because most of your character bios are so long, I didn't read that much, so my power play will be limited. And please excuse the broadness or my charater. He was made 2 years ago, during simpler times. A Version 2 is coming soon.)

BiC: Clark stepped through the dark, moist woods. He travelled for almost a month, and it was time for him to stop at an inn for rest and a temporary job. The boy looked at the moon, and found a dark light radiating through it. The feeling that this night gave him was so familiar.

"It must be Black Sun," Clark thought to himself, "It's power must be able to pass into certain worlds."

He sighed. Black Sun was a bad omen. If it's power was able to radiate through worlds, then anything could happen.

"Hello, boy," called an unfamilar voice.

Clark spun around to find a man covered in a black cloak.

"What's happenin'?" greeted Clark, hand slowly approching his blade.

"Your blood... your blood smells different. You are no regular mortal," the man said, inching closer and closer.

Clark unsheathed his katana, he never trusted shady men like this one.

"Heh, heh, heh... your blood smells delicious!" said the figure before it lunged at him.

Clark quickly jumped out of the way and thrusted his sword at the cloaked man. The blade made contact with the figure's lower back, and pierced through his stomach. The hood of the cloak flew off of the figure's head and revealed his face. It was a pale colored man, with snow white hair, and bright red eyes. The man smiled, revealing two teeth...fangs.

"You won't be able to kill me that easily!" the man laughed.

"What the-!?" gasped Clark.

The man punched Clark in the face and made him release the sword. The man then grabbed the hilt of the sword and pulled it out of his own stomach. Next the man pulled the katana up to his nose and sniffed it.

"This sword has cut many things, human, monster, and today vampire. I think I'll keep this as your present to me!" the man laughed.

"What! Give me back my sword before I kick your ass even harder!" Clark threatened.

"There are two names you need to remember boy: Vedin, and I, Italous!" said Italous, ignoring Clark's threat, "Farewell! We're sure to meet again."

The vampire began to float in mid-air, and glide away from Clark.

"WAIT!" shouted Clark.

The boy pulled out the Blade of the Black Sun, and ran after Italous. It was to late however, for the vampire, and Clark's katana, disappeared into the trees.

OoC: To get a better idea of my character persona, read [Safer] Clark's Training.

OoC: Sorry for not being able to resond. On vacation at the moment.

BiC: Vaion was about to continue speaking, but decided not to. He looked at the mess that the battle caused. Instead of continuing to talk, he said, "Let's set off."

He looked at his allies, and started to move in their direction, but stopped. He looked at them, as if he was questioning them. He wants to know what the items are... a strange voice said inside of Louis's mind.

Louis looked forward, as if he was going to speak.

OoC: Sorry for short post. Don't have that much time...

At first Louis had been uneasy about the voice, but he guessed what and where is was coming from.

"I suppose i should tell you all the whole story, but first lets move to a new location" Louis said and he started walking into the forest. The group followed and had a hard time seeing Louis in the dark night. Louis stuck up his hand to halt the group as some rustling in the bushes sounded off to the left. Louis jumped intot the bushes and the group heard a yelp and Louis came out of the bushes, his arm gripping the wrist of a boy, about 15 by the looks of him.

"Please, my weapon was stolen by a vampire and i just was gonna ask you for help" He said looking wide eyed at the group. Louis let go of his arm and The boy glared at him.

"You didn't have to grab so hard" The boy said rubbing his wrists.

"Maybe you can help us, then we can help you" Kari said. The others nodded and they continued on. They reached a small clearing where a logging crew had cut down.

"How did your weapon get stolen?" Kari asked playing with a blade of grass.

"My name is Clark by the way.Well i was minding my own business when out of the blue i get attacked by a vampire and i stab him but it doesn't do anything. so he takes my sword!" Clark said slamming his fist into the wet grass.

"Did he say anything?" Louis asked.

"Italous i think he said his name was. And he said somthing about a guy named Vedin, whoever he is. All i know is that i want my sword back" Clark said slamming his fist down again.

Louis cursed under his breath. "This is very bad. alright i will tell you all i know. My lord Vagor's wife's health is declining and He sent me to find any artifacts that could help her. i located the Azure Pendant. It was in the control of a vampire named Vedin and he was willing to trade it for one thing. A blade made of pure ruby, sharpened and fortified with magic. It is unbreakable and it sucks the life out of the enemy and the energy flows into the wielder. The azure pendant has the power to heal any wound or sickness, mental or phisical. Luckily we had this artifact and so i made a meeting with this Vedin. I was ambushed by hunters because Vedin has allied himself with them. Not by free will but by threats upon the thing they hold dearest to their hearts. He ripped the blade from my hands and i barely escaped with my life. Now i must get the blade and the pendant back so he cannot use the blade to destroy everything and have ultimate power. The pendant he has already used, because Italous is alive. He is Vedin's brother. We find Vedin and we will find Italous and you'r sword." Louis sat down and let them take it all in.

"So what do we get out of this?" Clark said. Louis pulled out bags of gold and threw one to Clark and one Kari.

"Also after my lord has used the pendant on his wife you will have a chance to use it also. Attempt to keep it after you use it, and i promise you that you will die. So will you help?"

Louis looked around the circle. Vaion nodded and Clark nodded also. Kari smiled, nodded and then stood up. A steel bolt stuck into the tree next to Clark's head and he yelped. Steel ran out as Louis and Clark drew their blades and went into a fighter's stance. The group looked up into the trees as a deep laugh echoed into the night. Up in the tree on a high branch stood a big man. He had a large scar on his face and he had enough weapons strapped onto his body to arm a small army. he had on blue leather armor and a chainmail vest.

"OI! YOU'S THERE! OI'M GONNA TURN YOU INTO A RUG!" said the man pointing a finger at Vaion. He jumped off the tree down towards the earth.

The figure hurtled towards the ground; he tried to pull off some flashy aerial trick and almost succeeded but landed no so deftly on his feet. There was a sickening crunch and a large amount of pain showed on the man's face. He tried to get up, but couldn't, Vaion rushed forward and grabbed the man by the head. "So little man, gonna turn me into a rug?" he took his axe and with one swipe severed the man's head. Blood spewed from the man's neck, and Vaion tossed the head away in disgust. "Well that was easy." Louis said and the party started off again. They encountered no more trouble, but at one point Louis could sense another Vampire somewhere, they had masked their presence. Because he couldn't locate them he didn't alert the others about the other vampire, but warned them to be on their guard. They continued on, when they heard some rustling in some bushes ahead. Vaion and Louis drew their weapons while Clark stayed back and Kari's hands crackled with blue electricity. The rustling went away for a bit. And then a dark shape burst forth. It charged towards the party, and burst straight into Louis and Vaion, it jumped straight at Kari, knocking her down, she let loose the electricity, and it knocked the thing off of her, and the party got ready for another attack.

OoC: First of all, Clark does have another weapon: The Sword of the Black Sun. Clark wants to attack Italous for 3 reasons, he attacked Clark first, out of spite and for a special reason of wanting the sword.

Clark unsheathed his second sword, the Sword of the Black Sun and stepped out infront of the group.

"This one's mine!"

The rest of the group looked at each other, and back at Clark, whom unleashed a wave of energy at the figure.

"A wolf," Clark said, seeing what the figure truly was.

"A wolf?!" Louise exclaimed, steeping quickly and cautiously toward the figure.

It was a normal wolf, now sliced in half by Clark's attack.

"Oh... good."

Clark rasied an eyebrow. Yes, a normal wolf. Well... not exactly. Wolves don't just attack out of the blue.

"It must have been a vampire hunter's wolf," Vaion added quietly.

"Oh... still, why are you getting so worked up about it, Louis? It can't be a werewolf!" Clark said jokingly.

Louis frowned. Clark frowned too, he was not a native of this world, and came to it through a worldly gate. He was starting to feel nervous, this world can't have werewolves as well as vampires!

Louis drew his sword and waved it across the sky in a slow wide arcing movement. At first nothing happened but then a small ringing started sounding in everyone's ears.

"What in the black suns is that annoying ringing?" Clarck yelled as it became defeaning. suddenly from the trees burst countless bats engulfing Louis. Clarck started to hack at them but Louis signaled him to stand down. Suddenly the bats were gone just as quick as the had arrived. Everyone stood dumbfounded at what had just occured and Louis signaled to the right of them.

"2 werewolves that way" then he pointed behind them.

"3 werewolves that way" then he pointed to the left.

"a town lies that way, we should head there" Then he sheathed his sword.

"From now on, no weapons or light, even magic unless i tell you too." He tossed them each a small rod, about 5 inches long. The point was sharpened to a razor edge and serated.

"Your weapons will not work on the werewolf, and even a spell would do little more than slow them down. Use these, and aim for somthing vital. They are made from silver renforced with steel, and it will damage the werewolf immensly." Suddenly somthing jumped onto Louis's back and knocked him to the ground. Louis wrestled with it and then they heard a crack and the sound of steel sliding into flesh. Louis stood up and wiped a drop of blood from his cheek. He had smashed his arm into the face of the top half of the wolf and his silver spikes on his bracer were bloody.

"See what i mean about your weapons? Even Clarck's energy blast didn't kill it. Now lets go" Louis drew his sword, and as they slipped into the forest, howls emitted deep within the dark forest.

The crew decided it was best to do away with the werewolves. Most likely, if the creatures were not finished off soon, they would return, and attack the group while they were in the village. This would cause a rather large commotion, so, instead, they crept silently through the forest, following the howls. Vaion noticed a few wolf tracks, here and there. The group followed the tracks for a while. It seemed as though they would never end. However, excitement would soon ensue. Kari suddenly spoke. "Hey, where's Clark?"

Clark wasn't with the group. It seemed as though he dissapeared. Vaion looked back at the trail. He started moving in the opposite direction, not speaking or making a noise. They traveled back to a particularly strange tree. Below the tree was a small hole. Vaion saw Clark in the middle of the whole, struggling. Clark must of been in there for a while, struggling as the others moved on. The remaining group members watched as Clark was struggling, with a horde of small, grotesque creatures climbing atop him.

Vaion glared at the boy, and stuck his arm in the air. He started waving it slowly, but silently- Trying not to attract the werewolves they were hunting. Suddenly, as he put his arm down, a mysterious, young, spectral figure materialized. Violet looked down at the struggling boy, about to make an action.

Ooc: It took some a tiny bit of digging to look up Violet... But I found her... Lol...

Bic: She moved forward towards Clark. The grotesque creatures were now all over Clark, and as one bit him, he let out a yelp. Violet moved a bit faster, and then, she reached the tree. She let loose a blast of demonic energy, blowing the closest creatures to smithereens, and knocking the others back. The creatures got up, and charged at her, one of them leapt at her, but just went through her, landing in a heap on the other side. A bolt of black lightning shot forth, hitting the last few creatures, they disappeared in a puff of smoke. She moved forward towards Clark again, her hand outstretched. But she dissapated as Vaion, Kari and Louis all ran forward to help Clark out of the hole. Vaion reached him first, and with one arm, grabbed Clark by the collar and yanked him out of the hole, but as he did black tendrils shot forth, and grabbed Clark's leg, pulling him back. Louis ran forward and grabbed Clark, while Kari shot a bolt of light at the tendrils. There was a screech of pain and Clark, Vaion and Louis all flew backwards in a pile. The tendrils shot back into the hole, and they heard more howling, they all pulled out their metal rods, and they continued down the path.

OoC: Wow, it IS my turn to post! I was waiting for someone else! Hehe, my fault. Anyway, this is getting old. I notice that almost every post has some occurance with a random monster, like this is a videogame RPG or something. We have to move on with the plot before things get too stale.

BiC: "Hooooooooooowl!"

The group's heads turned. The wolves were getting closer. Clark was starting to have second thoughts about attacking the wolves.

"Why can't we wait it out until the morning?" he asked.

"These aren't the werewolves you read in stories," said an unknown person.

The entire group turned around to find a familiar vampire.

"Italous!" Louis and Clark said at the same time.

"That's right kiddies!" confirmed Italous, "and this is the end of the road for you."

5 werewolves surrounded the group. They were large and freakesh. There eyes were bright yellow, fangs about as large as a man's fore-arm, and huge legs and claws. The 5 formed a circle around the group and sat down. It seemed like they obayed Italious.

Vaion looked around questioning his surroundings.

"Why would werewolves obay a vampire?" he asked.

Italous smiled at the pantheran.

"There are somethings you don't need to know."

"Where's Vedin?!" Louis asked, raising his blade.

"And where the hell is my sword?!" added Clark.

Italous backed up, "both of your questions will be answered if you can defeat my wolves."

The wolves stood up and growled. The group pulled out thier silver weapons and prepared for a difficult battle. Italous smiled and sniffed the air around him.

"Blood, your blood smells even more delicious by the minute! Hurry my pets! Kill them so we can have our dinner!"

The wolves jumped toward the group. Everyone braced theirselves, something different from what they expected happened. The wolves seemed to stop in their tracks. Italous also looked confused, even slghtly afraid.

"Human, what are you? Your blood changed!" he said.

Louis looked at Clark and immediately noticed the same thing. Something was different.

"I will not die here, I will not allow you to kill my new friends, and I WILL GET MY FATHER'S SWORD BACK!! shouted the boy, "BEAST OUT!!!!"

The boy's anger and determination caused him to transform. His eyes became silver and bloodshot. His tribal clothes became armor. He grew taller, stonger, and crazier! The group's jaws dropped. Clark never mentioned the fact that he could transform. Italous apparently didn't notice this ether, for he backed far away from the group.

"Don't worry about these things!" Clark said in a deep voice, "Louis, go after Italous and get my sword back! We'll beat these things!"

Louis nodded as the group brandished their silver spikes. He didn't argue, Clarck could handle himself, and he wasn't about to let the others get hurt. Italous started to fly away but Louis jumped up and grabbed his cloak.

"GET OFF YOU FOOL!" Italous screamed. Louis swung with all his might and let go at the critical point of the swing. Italous flew off into the trees, and smashed into a trunk. Louis drew his sword and jumped at the now disoriented Italous. Louis's hood flew back as he let out a wild screech. the group covered their ears and the werewolves looked frightened. Louis collided with Italous and a loud "CRACK" sounded. as wood chunks fell to the ground and the dust and leaves cleared, the group saw Clarks father's sword protruding from Louis's back, the sword had entered through a small opening in Louis's armor in the gut and out the back through a small crack. Italous held the sword up even with Louis's extra weight. Italous however was even worse. Louis's sword had gone right through his sternum and out of the back, pinning him to the tree. The force of Louis's blow had splintered a small portion of trunk. Italous was laughing and Louis reached down and grabbed a large chunk of wood, blunt but jagged on the end where it had splintered. Italous kept laughing, but keeping his eyes on the stake.

"It doesn't matter. Vedin will kill you all. HE WILL SLAUGHTER YOU! HAHAHAHAHA" Louis dorve the stake through his heart and Italous's arms went limp. Louis jumped back as suddenly Italous burst into flames. He stood up and started screaming. he turned into his full vampiric form. his skin darkened and red tattoos covered the now flame engulfed vampire. he jumped up high in the air and with a loud "CRACK" he exploded and bats poured out from the cloud the explosion had made. The werewolves snapped out of the control of Italous, and all of them turned to Louis as they sniffed the air. One ran forward flailing his arms at the group. Clark jumped and stabbed down with his sword and it made contact with the top of its head. Then Clark expertly flipped the silver spike in his fingers and stabbbed the werewolf in the throat. Two ran to the right and the other two to the left. Kari launched a handful of fireballs at a werewolf, its greasy coat immediatly bursting into flames. It charged her and Vaion threw his spike like a throwing knife and it stabbed the flame engulfed werewolf in the neck. The other werewolves thought it best not to continue and started to flee. Clark however had different plans for the attackers. He ran after them in his crazed state into the darkness and the others ran over to help Louis. He pulled out Clark's sword with a sickening slurp that made Kari blanch and look away. Vaion just looked at the tree where Louis had killed Italous. Louis sat up against a tree and winced as he tried to get into a comfortable position. Kari placed her hands on his wound and her hands started glowing. Louis screamed in pain and shoved her away. the wound began sizzling.

"I am sorry, you cannot use those powers on me, it would cripple me" Louis said, tears of pain dripped down his cheeks.

"Hopfully i will heal up, if not, you guys are going to be really annoyed" Louis said taking off his chest piece. Kari and Vaion took the piece of armor from him and Vaion took off the back piece. Louis pulled out a roll of black gauze as he unbuttoned his shirt and paused as they hears wimpers sounding not too far off. Kari grabbed gauze but then dropped it. It had felt like she was touching a stove.

"Sorry, i forgot, you can't touch that, it has spells cast on it by a friend" Louis said as he wrapped his middle in it. he replaced his shirt and armor and Clark came out of the shadows looking exausted. Louis tossed him the sword and Clark's face lit up. but suddenly it dissolved and a sad look came on his face.

"FAKE!!!!" Clark screamed as he kicked a small rock and it shot off into the night.

"We should continue. I know where we need to go now. No doubt Vedin will revive Italous"

"Where?" asked Vaion.

"Wolfenguard, thats where we will find Vedin and your sword Clark" Clark smiled at the thought of meeting Italous once more.

Vaion looked straight up when he heard the word, "Wolfengaurd." He motioned towards the group. "Follow." he said. The group started to follow him. Vaion heard the name before... An old building, in the shape of a church... Used for torture, and was now haunted by evil spirits.

The group moved for a couple of nights, following Vaion, until they all came across an old church. Outside, the gruesome, mutilated bodies of warriors could be found. Most likely, they were vampire slayers, but their prey was too powerful to handle. Vaion and the group moved inside. However, unknown to them, the bodies were enchanted- They reanimated once the group entered the old building, and began to follow.

Kari started to sound uneasy. "I don't like this place..." she said. Louis also spoke up. "I can hear the spirits whispering..." he said. Vaion, however, liked the place. He felt at home in the gruesome dungeon.

Kari looked around, cautiously, she didn't have a good feeling about this. The party moved onward, and then they noticed it. They heard some loud sounds from behind. The party whipped around and saw the undead mass coming towards them. Kari turned to Louis, she started to panic, but there was an obvious effort of trying to keep her head cool. She looked like she was about to say something but stopped. The party then heard more noises on the other side of them. They turned around and saw another mass of reanimated slayers coming towards them.

Vaion pulled out his axe and licked the blade, ready for battle, Clark drew the sword of the Black Sun, Louis pulled out his sword and Kari's hands started to glow with blue flames. The undead host charged forth as one, Vaion was in the battle first, his axe whirling, smashing undead this way and that. The undead surged past Vaion and Kari lobbed a few blue fireballs at the coming tide. A few of the slayers burst into flames and lit the others around them on fire.

The stench was horrible, the smell of rotting flesh was now burning, rotting flesh. Kari cast a web of magic onto the ground and the undead were entangled in what looked to be webs. "Louis! Clark! Come to me!" she cut her thumb with her knife and drew a rune onto Clark and Louis' blades with the blood the blades glowed with a red light. Louis and Clark both ran into the fray with Kari casting spells left and right. The broke through to Vaion who was hacking apart enemies on all sides. Louis ran and shoved his blade through a slayer and light shot out from the slayer's eyes and mouth. The body crumpled to the floor and he moved onto another foe. Clark went into the fray like a mad beast.

Vaion ran and finished off the last of the slayers. The party was fatigued, they hadn't had any rest for a while, but they could keep it up if needed. Then, they all heard a voice, "Looks like you made it past my 'guards'... You won't be so lucky this time..." and they heard a loud warcry from another large group, the party all got into their battle stances ready for another fight.

"Damn..." Clark said to himself.

He wasn't too fond of battling one zombie after another. And now it sounded like a small gang was after them.

"I think we should leave," Kari said slowly backing up.

"I agree," Clark added, "At least we can come back during the daylight."

SREEEECH!!

The group jumped and looked to the side. It was nothing but bats. Clark sighed and messaged his temples. He didn't have the nerve for this.

"We can't return at dawn, you'll never see a vampire in the daylight," Louis answered.

The warcries grew closer and closer. They desided it was best to save their energy and run away. There was no point in wasting time fighting minions.

Blood. Old dried blood painted Wolfenguard's walls. Clark continued messaged his temples, he really hated seeing blood. With so much of it, he began to wonder where the bodies were.

CREEEEECK!!

Both Kari and Clark pulled out their weapons only to find that the enemy was a weak wooden floor. They put up there weapons and sighed in relief. Louis and Vaion however didn't seem the slightest bit scared. Determination was written on Louis's face, and Vaion, oddly shown bliss.

Wolfenguard grew darker and darker as the group walked down the stairs. Louis eventually had to light a lantern for sight. The bodies that went with the blood was soon found. Skeletons covered with rats, ants, and roaches, decorated the hall. The flesh fell off the bones, showing that the bodies were fresh.

"I though you said this place was put out of business?" Clark asked, looking at the body.

"If Vedin and Italous took over this place, it wouldn't be surprising to see this place would become worse then it was before," Louis answered.

That wasn't the answer the boy was looking for. He was already nervous as is, and the glowing eyes of bats didn't help.
