Battle in Forest (Anyone)

OoC: I’m using my character, Raven. Link in sig.

Bic: The young warrior slowly and silently took out his bow, took an arrow from his quiver, and took aim. Crouched down so that no one could see him, Raven closed one eye and stared down his bow at figure standing just ten feet away from him. The figure's back was turned so Raven was full of confidence. Raven carefully pulled back the unicorn hair on his bow and then released it, unleashing the arrow at his unsuspecting victim. Raven did not intend to kill his target, just to warn the target that he wasn't afraid to fight.

As the arrow flew through the air, the target disappeared into thin air, leaving behind no trace. Raven jumped out from behind the bushes. "Damn you Furiae! I will find you, and when I do..."

But Raven was interrupted by a sound in the trees behind him. "Who's there!?"

OoC: I'll be joining as Marcus link in signature.

BiC:
"GET OUT! We don't allow monks in our peaceful village, they usually bring some demon with them, without even knowing it!" a man shouted.

"Sorry for any inconveniance sir, I was only traveling," Marcus replied. Walking out of the village.

"Ugh... No money left to do anything. How am I gonna do this," he muttered. "I thought monks were supposed to be happy people..."

He started walking off in a random direction. Nothing in sight for miles, but he just kept walking. He was hoping for another village so he could spend the day there, but no such luck. Marcus was walking for three hours, nothing in sight, until he noticed a forest not to far away. He felt a dense magical feeling coming from the forest.

As he walked inside he saw a man standing there. "Who's there!?" the man asked. Pointing his bow in his direction.

"Woh! Hold on a second, I'm only a monk, don't start aiming bows at me please," he replied with his hand up.

OoC: Yah! Really short, but I just wanted to make an intro before somebody else.

OoC: Nice, not too long, and not too short.

Bic: "A monk?" exclaimed Raven. "Hmm... Never met a monk before. None the less, Furiae must have heard your footsteps! That’s why she disappeared!" Raven, still aiming at the monk, began to move closer to Marcus. When he reached his opponent, Raven lowered his bow and drew his sword. "Prepare to die, monk!"

Raven took a few steps back and readied himself.

OoC: Sorry it’s short; I wanted to post tonight but didn’t have a lot of time. They'll get longer though.

"Woh! What do you mean? I don't want to fight? I was just passing through. I'm a monk. I don't fight people, and you don't look like you are on Altar's wanted list either," Marcus was getting jumpy.

What is the deal with this guy? Who is Furiae? This is nuts! Why does he want to fight me, I didn't do anything to him, Marcus thought.

He transformed into a lizard and scurried off. He tried his best not to be stabbed by the man chasing after him with a sword. Why me? he thought. Afterwards, he again changed his shape, but this time. He changed it to an eagle and flew away. Figuring that the man was a good shot with a bow. Marcus made sure to fly low into the forest.

Unfortunately, the man shot an arrow, and it hit Marcus' wing. He fell right in front of this 'Furiae' person.

OoC: Did I mess it up?

OoC: Nah, you didn't mess it up. But can we keep Furiae out of this battle? Sorry of should have said that at the start.

BiC: "Come back here!" yelled Raven, running to the place he saw the eagle fall.

Quickly, Marcus changed form once more, this time he changed into a mighty bear, ready to attack the man chasing him.

"We can take him together," growled Marcus, turning round to talk to the women behind him, but she wasn't there. She had disappeared once more, and although Marcus knew she couldn't have gone far, pursuing her would be a bad idea. She obviously didn't want to be found.

Looks like I'm going to have to do this on my own, thought Marcus.


OoC: Just wanted to say, at the moment Raven look like he's evil or something. He's not, just a little angry at the moment.

"What do you want here? I don't know who you are, or why you are after that woman, nor do I know why you want to kill a lawful monk such as myself. But I am going to tell you now, killing me won't bring any rest to your soul," Marcus told the man, changing back into his human form, and grabbing the arrow. He snapped it in two, and pulled the other end out of his arm. It had peirced straight through, because he was an eagle at the time.

He held his staff firm in his arms, and engaged the blade, ready to block any moves the man thought of making. Thoughts of his duty ran through his head, as he was standing just before death's door... This man was clearly more skilled in combat than him. He more than likely would lose.

OoC: Okay, let’s start the fighting.

BiC: Raven looked at the monk before him. He drew his sword once again. Marcus closed his eyes, certain that these would be the last few seconds of his life. But nothing happened. Marcus opened his eyes to find that the man before him had thrown is sword to the ground.

"My apologies monk," said the man. Some of the things Marcus said made sense. Killing this monk would only waste more time. All he wanted was to find the women he loved, Furiae. "I am Raven, and you are?"

"My name is Marcus," said the monk, lowering his guard.

"I'm sorry I attacked you Marcus, I'm just a little angry with myself right now." Raven sat down on a log lying on the ground. "That women, Furiae, she is the women I love. She is the reason I am in this forest."

"Well, while we're both here we might as well do something," replied Marcus, sitting down beside Raven. They both sat for a while, thinking.

"A duel," said Raven getting to his feet. "All I ever do anymore is fight to kill, what do you monk? Do you accept my challenge?"

Marcus got to his feet and answered Raven.

"A small bout never hurt anyone," Marcus replied. He stood up, and changed form to something... more fitting for a battle. A gryphon. "I may be a monk that doesn't like it when people fool others into doing things, but I need to survive. Am I right?"

"I suppose... Well, get ready monk," Raven replied.
