Guardian Angel (SharpCookies!)

Ooc: ok this is a battle for my new adoptee SharpCookies! I will be using my character Valion, Sharp please give a link to your character in your post.

Bic:

Grunting with effort, the angel swung his sword round, cutting straight through the line of trees that impeded his progress. Grabbing one of the fallen trees with his left arm, he flung the log behind him, the tree turning to splinters as it collided with 5 metal statues. Grabbing another and another, he repeated the process until the path was clear and all the trees were at the base of the statues. Sighing, Valion slumped to the floor, his face leaking sweat in rivets. With his right hand he gestured to the statues, and amazingly they moved.

“The path is clear, you may go,” Valion grunted, wiping the sweat off his head with his sleeve. The statues didn’t say anything, but each started hopping down the newly found path. Giving another sigh, the angel unfolded his wings from under his overcoat, and with a jump took flight.

Now what? I’m not scheduled to meet with anyone for a while, and no bounties except the one Nyle went after… Valion thought to himself.

Schedule shows nothing to do until tomorrow. Why are you complaining, you always say that you want a day or two off R.V replied lazily. The angel was about to reply with a witty remark when something caught his eye in the distance. A woman was crossing a bridge, and using his red eye to zoom in, he could see that the ropes on the sides of the bridge were about to break.

“Something to do at last!” the angel laughed, and tucked his wings in, diving low and fast to the bridge. Moments before he got to it there was a snapping sound, and the other end of the bridge broke. The woman screamed as what she thought was her death, but a moment later Valion caught her, her extra weight nearly making him lose control.

“It looked like you were in need of and guardian angel,” Valion chuckled. Flapping his wings vigorously, he came to a stop over the other end of the bridge that the woman had been walking to.

“Are you ok?” the angel asked as he set her down.

"Y-Yes..." Suki said in a daze. Suki smiled at the angel and said, "Thank you."

"It's my pleasure. What is your name?" he asked kindly.

"My name? Oh, it's Suki Yamato, sir-angel-sir" she replied with a laugh.

"It's nice to meet you, Suki Yamato." He smiled, but he then had a serious look on his face, "You should really watch where your going. You would have died if I hadn't seen from the distance."

Suki sighed, "I'm sorry about that. But what you said before... about me needing a Guardian Angel... are you...?"

"Yes I am." he answered, "But in any case, I now must leave. Good day, Suki." He smiled warmly as he started to fly away, but something stopped him.

Suki was holding onto the angel's leg,shouting "WAIT!". He stopped flying and landed on the ground looking at Suki curoiusly. "I-I saw you before when you were cutting down those tree's. You are very skilled with the sword and I was wondering...could you maybe train me, Guardian Angel?" she asked beggingly. The Angel first looked startled, but his face softened.

"I have nothing else to do, so I guess I could train you. Can I see your sword?" He asked, pointing to her sheith.

"No problem." She replied as she took out her sword which was glowing a light blue. The angel's eyes widened as he held the sword in his hands.




"This can't be..." He gasped, "There's no way..."

"What is it?" The young woman asked curiously.

"It is!!" He shouted in amazement, "This is the legendary sword passed down from generation from generation! This sword is what many have been searching for. This is the famous Lightning Sword!"

Ooc: okay that last bit was a bit corny, no offense, and plus Valion wouldn’t react as overboard as that to a sword. Also you didn’t need to put that picture in the middle of your post, put it in your character profile under the part where it asks about your weapon. But since im here to help not to judge, I will play along.

Bic:

Grasping the sword in his hands, Valion made several cutting motions with it, each one singing as it cleaved the air in front of it. Flipping it round with his metallic hand, he focused, trying to force some of his own cybernetic energy into the blade. At this the blade just crackled with lightning, forcing the energy back into his arm.

“This blade was made before you were born, yet it responds only to your touch, amazing if I do say so myself,” the angel chuckled. With a flick he tossed the sword back to Suki, who caught the blade with one hand.

“See if you like the design of mine,” Valion mused, bringing out his own sword with his right hand. The blade gleamed in the light, giving off a small ethereal green color. The girl had sheathed her own sword, and was looking at Valion’s with slight awe.

“This is Spring, the sword that has the blood of a thousand demons and humans alike splattered on it. Only those with powers that match an avenging angel can tap into the source of power,” the angel said silently, giving the sword to Suki. The weight of the blade nearly made her drop it, but she managed to keep a hold of it.

“What’s that?” the girl asked, pointing a finger to the crest next to the hilt.

“The mark of my family, though it means nothing to me now after what’s happened,” Valion replied silently. Not wanting to go any deeper into his personal history, the angel took his sword back.

“Do you really want to train with me?” Valion asked, eyeing the girl. She nodded her head vigorously.

“Okay then,” the angel replied. Closing his eyes, Valion began to mumble words, and pressed his right thumb to Suki’s head. After a moment she began to shiver, as waves of energy began to enter her. After a minute or so the angel broke contact, and opened his eyes.

“It is done, I am now properly your guardian angel,” Valion replied. Before the girl replied the angel pushed a hand to her chest, shooting a ball of white light into her, knocking her off her feet and into a nearby tree.

“Lesson 1, you must always be able to take on your guardian angel,” Valion shouted, swinging his sword in front of him.
