The Dragon Reborn (Demon Slayers, or PM to get invite!)

Ooc: Once again... this is a thread to bring the Guild together and have fun... People may PM me and I'll approve them if I find them worthy... You can, or not apply for a spot in the Demon Slayer's Guild. I'll be using Valanoth Karundir, who's link is in my sig. This will be a quest to defeat a certain person, and any loot you find along the way, provided it doesn't get destroyed you can add to your equipment...
Bic: A shadowy figure sat upon the top of the cathedral, he looked down at all the citizens rushing around, buying, and selling things in the market, getting home before the night watch comes out.

They are pathetic... Scurrying around, trying to make a living. They don't know what it means to be free...

He sat there just looking around, when he saw a cloaked figure rushing hurriedly through the streets. He jumped down, landing on the ground with a soft thud, he strode quietly after the figure. He took a turn down an alley and into the tavern. He sat down in a booth by the figure.
"Is it true? Did you get the information?"

"Yes, it is true, I saw him with my own eyes! The Dragon Reborn is really here..."

Valanoth shuddered at the name of the Dragon Reborn, it was he who 100 years ago caused the Breaking of the World, and the tainting of the ancient True Source. He listened more closely.

"He is gathering an army, it won't be completed for many months though, people are reluctant to join, most do not believe that he is the real Dragon..."

"He will be most vulnerable during the ritual, he will need more bodyguards..."

"Lets go."

Valan watched as the 2 men walked off.

The Dragon Reborn? Could it really be? If it is, we are all in grave danger...

Ooc: ok guys... lets make this a good one!

ooc: Oh you know i will make this good. i will be using Ywen and Earen. links in my siggy.

bic: As Earen walked down the street, he saw a cloaked figure walking hurriedly somewhere. Earen decided to follow him. The cloaked figure walked into the tavern, and Earen followed.
The figure sat down, flipt back his hood, ordered a pint of fire wisky, and put his head in his hands. Earen sat down across from the horned wood elf and leaned back in his chair.

" it would be wise to leave me be, stranger." the wood elf said, his head still down.

" would it be wise for a friend to leave?" Earen said. Valan looked up and smiled. the waitress came by with his fire wisky and Valan drained at least half of it. Earen ordered a cup of water.

" i take it somthing is wrong." Earen said, looking at the half empty pint.

" you dont know the half of it." Valan said, and took another long drought. Va;an slammed the tankerd on the table. the waitress brought Earen his water, and his took a drink of the cool crisp water. she poured Valan some more and left to attend to others.

"enlighten me" Earen said, as Valan took another drink, but not as much this time. Valan told of what he knew, and about the men in the allyway.

"this is urgent. we need to find this, dragon reborn. but for now, you need to stop." Earen said, taking the pint away and put it on a passing waitresses tray. he took another sip of the water and continued.

" if he is planning on doing what he did last time, we need to take him out soon."

just then they heard some noise over on the other side of the tavern. there was a table, with some obvious drunks and a young women, from what they could tell by the back of her head passing by. a big man stood up, and nodded from the others to the girl. they laughed and as she passed the appearent leader, he grabbed her arm and tryed to kiss her. she struggled, but he was too big, 6ft 5in and 250 lbs. Earen and Valan stood up as she cried out for help, but the drunks just laughed. Valan and Earen walked over and pushed their way through the drunken crowds wall. one of the men grabbed Valan's shoulder, and Valan's fist connected with the mans chin in a flash.

" stop it!" the women cryed out, her face covered by hair. the man laughed and tryed to kiss her again.

" i believe, she said stop it" Earen said sternly yet politly.

" an wot you gonna do abou' it" He said in a heavy accent.

" leave her alone." Earen said.

" ye- wait, io don think io want to" he said smoothly, as if it was a diss.

"i wont ask again. stop. he said. men grabbed Earens shoulders but Valan kicked one in the private, the other got a punch to the face.

"no. leave me be, dirty point eared elf." he said with a sneer.

Earen grabbed the girl, pulled her away, kicked over the chair, and the drunk fell head over heels. he slowly got up, only to be socked in the face. he fell to the ground, out cold. the men backed away, and Earen gave the tender a coin. as the girl brushed away her hair, to their surprise it was Ywen!

" thanks guys, i never thought i would see you 2 here." she reached over and hugged them both, and they sat back down.

ooc: well i hope this one is good!!!!

They sat back down and Ywen ordered a glass of water, "So what brings you around here?" Valan asked Ywen, "Nothing much, I was just passing through, when those guys decided to mess with me." She spat and wiped her mouth, "I still can't get that thought of him trying to kissing me out of my head..." She shuddered. Earen put his hand on her shoulder, "Its ok, at least we stopped them."

"Well," Valan interrupted, "If you already haven't heard, we have a major problem on our hands," He leaned foward, "Have you ever heard of the Dragon Reborn?"

"Only in stories and legends."

"Well, there have been many who have tried to reveal themselves as the one true Dragon Reborn, but all have been consumed by trying to tap into the True Source, many have tried, many have failed. But this time, I think it is different, I just have a feeling that we are looking at an opportunity to stop another Breaking of the World..." Valan took another swig of his firewhisky, "We need to st--" Just as he was finishing that sentence the door opened and a figure walked in, Valan looked intriguedly at them. The figure shut the door and looked around, he paused at Valan's, Earen's, and Ywen's table and put down his hood...

Ooc: Ok, this is where you can come in Librairian!

OoC: You two need to be less zealous. Take life easier, it's a lot more enjoyable.

BiC: "Could it be?" Shisho said with amazement in his voice. He walked toward the trio of familiar faces. "It is!" He slammed his hands down on their table. "Earen, Valan, Ywen! Dear lord, how long has it been!"

Earen and Ywen rose from their seats. "Shisho!" They both exclaimed. Earen reached his hand out and Shisho grabbed it. "It's good to see you again." Earen said. "Likewise." Shisho replied.

After he let go, Shisho and Ywen nearly jumped on eachother. "It's so good to see you again Shisho!" Ywen said loudly. "It's good to see you as well Ywen." Shisho responded.

They let eachother go and sat down. "Hey Valan, what's up?" Shisho asked. "We were discussing something very important before you walked in," Valan said coldly. "And it would be good if we could get back to that."

"It's good to see the world hasn't changed you." Shisho said jokingly. "Have you ever heard of the Dragon Reborn Shisho?" Valan asked. "A legendary creature around here right? Well, vaguely." Shisho answered.

"It, one hundred years ago, caused the Breaking of the World, and the tainting of the ancient True Source." "Uh huh. I don't get it, but keep going." "There have been several who have tried to reveal themselves and the one true Dragon Reborn, but all of them have been consumed trying to tap into the True Source. Several tried, several failed."

"It's gathering an army. I think we have the chance to stop another Breaking of the World." "I still don't get it."

OoC: Take it away.

OoC: WOOT! Ok here we go. and librarian, i have to be zealous about this, have no life. and fury tells me of a newcomer so i hope to see somthing good!


bic: Valan stared at Shisho, obviously angry at his incopotence and interuption of the matter.Ywen seemed to have a little brighter attitude, excited to see everyone, more Shisho than others.

"i dont think you understand the gravity or the situation, boy." Valan said taking another swig of firewisky.

"and i dont think you can remember how many youve had" said Earen as he took away the firewisky.

"so let me get this straight, some guy thinks he's this dragon reborn, and if we dont stop him, somthing really bad is gonna happen." Shisho said.

"bascilly it would kill us all." said Earen.

"always good to know" shisho said nodding his head.

They kept on talking for a while about things they had seen and done since their last adventure, when they realized they had talked the day away. Just then, Valan looked at shisho, pointed his finger at him, mummbled somthing and fell back out of his chair. Many patrons looked over, and a very drunk dwarf laughed heartily and fell over. His table pointed and laughed at him as he struggled to get up and not spill his ale.

"disguisting" Ywen and Earen said at the same time. Elves had a deep hatred for achoholic drinks, knowing that it just turned men into bluthering idiots. Earen and Ywen both reached for their water and took a long drink, a habit after seeing somthing like this.

"we should all retire for the night, it will be a big day tomarrow" said Shisho. They got room keys from the keeper and went to their rooms to sleep, not knowing what great evil awaited them.

OoC:^At least I capitalize...I'll be using Zeik,by the way.Clickah de siggah.

BiC:Zeik ran down the empty streets in the darkness of night.Powerful auras were nearby.Something big was coming.He continued running,and eventually got tired and went
in to a tavern for a drink.As soon as he opened the door,a group of men,probably drunk,started laughing like a bunch f maniacs.One was even on the floor.He went to sit down.When he did,a heavily tatooed demon-like creature gave him a slight stare.

Zeik gave him a slight smirk without turning around.He looked up and ordered a sake.What is that energy?He thought as he looked at the door.Right at that moment,the aura dissapeared."Must be gone..." Zeik thought aloud.Then his drink came.Thanking the waitress,he took a small sip.

He saw a claw on his shoulder.Zeik turned around and it was the on staring at him a few minutes ago.He was with three others by the looks of it.A female elf,another taller elfish one,and a magi.Then the winged one spoke to Zeik.

"Can I trust you with some valuable information?"Giving his full attention,Zeik listened to his words nodding every so often.Then the word "Dragon" came up.This peaked his interest.

Ooc: ok guys.... I think we are good, it is time to really get this thing started! Oh, and BTW the Dragon Reborn is a human, he is called the reborn, because back before the Breaking of the World there was a man, Lews Therin Kinslayer, who was known as the Dragon, he went crazy from the True Source and became overwhelmed with the power, he slaughtered his own family, hence the name Kinslayer, and he caused the breaking, and the tainting of the True Source, there is a prophecy that in the final days he will be reborn and will fight alongside the Dark One, or Ba'alzamon, and there will be a great battle, that will destroy the whole earth.
Bic:
Valan finished telling Zeik about the Dragon Reborn, "Now that you know, you have 2 options, either come along with us, and help us defeat this menace, or, you can go off your way and never speak of this to anyone."

"I'll come," Zeik said, "Just tell me where we gotta go, and we'll get this done.

"Good, we're going to need all the help we can get, come on over here, I want you to meet the rest of the party."

They walked back over to the table with Ywen, Earen and Shisho, they were all in a conversation. Valan spoke up, "Guys, and lady, this is Zeik. Zeik, this is Earen, Ywen, and Shisho, you can call me Valan." Zeik waved and they all sat down, "Now, we need to plan this out, we can't go into the blight without a plan, there are thousands of darkfiends that guard the Blight, and it won't be easy getting in.

They sat there for a few hours, when Earen came up with a plan. "We will go in through the Aiel Wastes, the Aielmen won't care and the darkfiends won't go that north. We could get into the Blight, into Shajesk, kill this Dragon Reborn, and be out of there... without him the rest of the army will fall apart, cut off the head of the snake and the body will follow..."

"I agree," Valan nodded, and was quickly followed by Ywen, Shisho, and Zeik. "We are going to make a stop before we leave, but this trek will take a long time, we will only stop when it is entirely necessary, the less we are seen, the better. If anyone falls behind, I'll take care of them." Valan said.

Earen raised his eyebrow at this statement,

He has changed, last time he didn't care about anyone, just himself...

Valan put a few gold coins on the table and stood up, "We're heading out, where do we need to stop first?"

"well if we are heading north, we should probably get some heavy cloaks or somthing, or esle we will freeze to death." Shisho explained.

"your right, we should." agreed Zeik. Everyone nodded and they headed out into the early morning. Outside, it was a beutiful day, little breeze, a good amount of heat, and no clouds except for a whisp or two.They walked to the clothe merchant's store and walked in. It smelled like moth balls and clothes, and they walked up to the talor. He was a small pointy nosed man with glasses. He reminded Earen of a grouchy old school teacher.

"we would like 5 winter capes. 4 men and 1 women." Earen said politly.

"but its summer you silly man, what possibly could you want with winter capes." The man said in a nasly voice.

"we are taking a trip, so giv- please give us the capes." Valan said.

so he is trying. Earen thought.

the man went inot a back room, and came out with the cloaks. He set them down on the desk as if he was carrying a blouder or two.

"that will b-" but Earen put down a sack of coins and they took the cloaks and went out of the old shop.

" whew! that smelt really bad."shisho said, waving his hand around and breathing in lots of air. Ywen laughed and shoved Shisho, and Valan rolled his eyes.

"cmon we need to go." Valan said a little icy. Ywen shrugged at Shisho and they continued walking through the town. They passed through the northern gate and headed into the forest. they threw on their new cloaks, as it was getting cold already. Zeik looked up, and saw terz'oldar, the great mountain. he let out a sigh.

we have a LONG way to go.

He snapped back to reality as he heard a scream up ahead.

The five adventurers sprinted down the forest path, trying to find the source of the scream. The cool air of autumn felt even colder with their quick pace. The wet leaves on the ground caused them to stumble a little.

After a minute or two, they came upon a pair of frightened children. A green slime was slowly making its way toward them. The children were clearly too scared to think of running away.

"That's why we rushed all that way?" Zeik said, a hint of irritation in his voice. "A blob and a couple of kids." The blob slowly creeped closer to the kids.

"Lighten up." Shisho replied. "Kids get scared easily. And I think I might know why." He walked over to the blob and stepped on it. With that, he quickly yanked out his foot and started hopping up and down on his other.

"See, it's electric. The kids probably saw it, tried to squish it, and got shocked." As Shisho fininshed his sentence, Ywen took out a knife. She spun it around and tossed it at the blob. When it hit, the blob wriggled around for a second, and started to dissolve.

With that, Ywen, Earen, and Shisho went over to comfort the children. "Are you okay?" Ywen asked. "Yeah, *Sniff* we're okay *Sniff, sniff*." The little boy responded tearfuly. "Thank you for *Sniff* stopping that green thing." The little girl next to him said, just as tearful as the boy.

"What are you doing so far from town?" Earen asked. "Well..." The boy started to say. "We got out of the house before mom could give us any chores. When she started looking for us, me and my sister ran into the woods." "Please don't tell!" The girl interupted.

Shisho let out a little chuckle. "Don't worry." He said cheerfuly. "We won't tell anyone." He patted each of them on the head, and they smiled. "Now you two should get going. You wouldn't want your mother to worry."

The kids squeezed between them, and started to run down the path back to the village. "Thank you!" The little boy yelled as he waved back.

"Come on." Valan said. "We should keep moving." With that, Ywen picked her dagger up from the ground, and the group continued their walk down the forest path.

The warriors continued through the path,with a long way to their destination."It's getting quite chilly out here...Do you think we'll get to the top of that mountain up there without freezing to death?"Zeik blew across his face,making his bangs fly up a bit."Quit complaining,or we'll le-nevermind.It won't be as cold if we keep moving,so we'd best get a move on."Valan replied,strangely changing attitude in the middle of that sentence.

The other three were still behind him,talking away.Zeik slowed down a bit.He figured with the distance to their goal,he might as well take it easy.All of a sudden,the ground started,shaking,Zeik tripped over a tree root,and everyone else just stopped and scanned the area.He stood up."What is that?" "The sign that we're getting closer.Keep on your toes,everyone.We never know what maight happen."The rumbling stopped as Valan finished his theory.

"AAAAAAARRRWRWRWRWRWR!"A huge roar came along with the sound trees falling over.
"This is just wonderful."Shisho said as he came up toe where Zeik was.Thunderous footsteps came closer,closer,and closer until you could feel the ground shaking."Welcome to the beggining of the end..."A huge sloth-like boar monster jumped over a group of trees and growled at them."I think this one will be a bit harder than the slime puddle..."It just waved its arms around,touching the ground every so often.It left claw marks,of course.

They got ready to fight the beast,weapons at hand.

OoC:Sorry about the random plot twist there,but I've only RP'd about three stories.

The beast let out an unearthly scream and charged at the group, its claws flailing at the main part of the group. Valan jumped nimbly out of the way, barely missing the claws, Ywen dived out of the way and pushed Shisho out of the way also, Zeik jumped up and landed on the monster, viciously stabbing at the creature's head. Earen jumped back and launched a bolt of energy at the beast and hit it in the eye. Valan jumped forward at it and dug his blades deep into the beast's neck, Ywen threw a dagger and it caught the beast in it's other eye, and Shisho followed up with a bolt of lightning that hit the beast square in the chest. The creature was oozing blood from it's next and had huge burn marks on it, but it still came, it flailed out with its arms and knocked Zeik back, it clipped Earen, but only pushed him back a bit. Finally Ywen took her sword and stabbed it deep into the beast's jugular, it spurted black viscous blood, and it splattered onto Ywen, Valan and Shisho. The creature stumbled, and then toppled like a brick wall.

Valan helped Zeik and Earen back up, then wiped the black blood from his blades.
"We should get moving, that was an Ogier, and where there is an Ogier, there is a Stedding nearby..." Valan said, they continued on through the forest, when they came to the crest of a hill, they saw a large black mark upon the land, "Thats the Blight, and right there," Valan pointed to a large structure, "Is exactly where we need to go." The party could see camp fires everywhere the eye could see.

"How many people does this Dragon Reborn have under his command?" Shisho asked.

"From my guess, about 100,000." Valan replied.

"We'll have to be careful then..." Earen said.

"Lets do this," And with that Valan jumped up and started flying off towards the Blight.

ooc: this is hard to play off...mmmm.

BiC: As the children ran off, they looked back, making sure the coast was clear. then they started to morph into little demon like creatures with wings and sharp claws.

"do you think thats who the master warned us about?" the girl said, now blue in color and slimy.

"yes... they seem to fit who he was talking about" the boy said, now red and scaly. they took off flapping their tiny wings, giggling and cackling as they took off towards the north.

as Valan took off, Earen seemed to change.

"alright, this is your last chance everyone, you can walk now, or come with me, its your choice." Earen said. everyone knew he was serious about this. there was no joking.

"I'm with you all the way." Ywen said.

"Same with me." Zeik said.

" I wouldnt miss this for anything." Shisho said.

"Good. I'm glad to see none of us are turning back. We need to be stealthy." And with that Earen jumped down the hill and slide down the gravel. Zeik jumped after him. Shisho went to the edge, but looked back at Ywen. he smiled and casted fairy and followed the others. Ywen smiled and turned the knob on her belt and melded with the shadows. As Earen reached the bottom, his eyes started watering from the stench. Zeik slid to the bottom and the same thing happened to him. as shisho floated down, he changed back and almost threw up. Ywen came down, turned her knob, and with one breath she threw up. There were none of the camps nearby, so they wernt noticed. Shisho rubbed Ywens back to soothe her. Earen started walking, and Zeik followed. Ywen got up and looked at Shisho.

"Thank you, i am fine now, we should catch up." They ran and caught up to Earen and Zeik.
As they walked along, the clouds got darker and the stench got heavier. Suddenly, what looked like a small speck came towards them, flying fast.

"look who came to join us." Zeik said.

"I hope Valan got some useful info." Shisho said. the speck was getting closer, and bigger. to big for comfort.

" I dont think that is Valan" Earen said, starting to step backwards. The dot seemed to grow wings, big wings, and they were like a birds. It let out a scream that sounded like a dying cow mixed with an eagle. The group covered their ears, then the thing was clear now. It looked like a giant buzzard,about 10ft in length with lizards skin. It had scars all over it's body, and fresh cuts oozing a green molasses(spl?) like liquid. A drop fell on Earen's shoulder piece, and he wiped it off with his bare hand. It started burning his hand and it started sizzling and bubbling. It let out another one of it's cries and swooped down for the kill.

Earen dodged the thing, barely making it. it cried again and turned for another swoop. Earen rolled out of the way, and the bird slashed Ywen in the stomach as it tried for an easier target. she fell to the ground with a short cry, and Earen and Shisho ran to Ywen.
Zeik's fist started glowing green and bashed the bird's skull in with a punch as it went for him.

"hold on." Earen said, his voice sounding distant to her. he placed his hands over the wound and a light glowed and it healed over, and looked like there was never a wound. her breathing went normal,but she blacked out. Shisho tried to hold it together, as it painfully reminded him of her last wound. he saw the demon, shaking her like a doll, and saw her fall to the ground. Earen looked at Shisho and saw it in his eyes.

"shes fine Shisho, dont worry." he said, putting his hand on Shisho's shoulder. Earen then tried to heal his hand. the burning stopped but it left a burn mark with a scray resemblence(spl?) of a skull.

ooc: sorry if you thought it was too long, but i make it a point to make long posts.

With their attacker defeated, the group tried to think of what to do next. While one of their group, the one with all the info, was missing, there wasn't much they could do. Their first task would be to find Valanoth.

"Well," Shisho said. "he flew onto that structure, and a few minutes later, that bird was in his place. We can only assume he was dispatched by it."

"Don't say that Shisho." Ywen replied. "Valan wouldn't let himself get taken down by one of those. That thing was much too weak."

"Well you have to take into account, that Angel Boy's attack was better suited for taking down that kind of monster." Shisho retorted, his voice getting sterner. "While I don't doubt Valan was the one who gave it all those wounds, his fighting style isn't suited for killing something like that."

"It doesn't matter how he got dispatched, or even if he was dispatched at all," Earen interjected. "we need to find him and help him." "Good point." Shisho replied.

"I'll go and find him." Zeik said after a moment. "You guys wait here." And with that, he jumped up and started to fly. But before he could get too far, Shisho stopped him. He cast Jump, lept into the air, and grabbed onto Zeik's legs, dragging him down.

"Oh no you're not." Shisho said as they hit the ground. "Unless you have some kind of panacea, you couldn't do anything for him if you found him and he was hurt." He gestured toward the group. "I'll go, and you guys stay here." And with that, Shisho cast Fairy, and he was off.

OoC: Interesting idea, we have two separate plot directions. As in, me and Demon[of]Fury write the story from an inside direction, while you two write it from an outside one. Just an idea, we don't have to act on it.

BiC: Shisho flew towards the structure. It was a lot like a castle, but its shape was that of a group of giant twisted mushrooms. It was an old looking building, but there was no way it was more than a few years in age.

As he got closer, he could hear dull cries, like the ones the creature from before made. Shisho landed on the first mushroom capped tower he came to. There was a large, open hatch right in the center, large enough for a creature of considerable size to pass through.

He jumped into it, coming into a dimly lit room. It looked like a stable, or some kind of pen, but with bigger stalls than normal. All over there were feathers, and scales, with a splash of of some kind of liquid here and there.

But at the end of the room, there lay a body. Shisho rushed over to see who it was. And sure enough, it was Valan. He quickly cast Life on him, and as he did, Valan started to stir.

"Good, you're still alive." Shisho said. "Lets get you out of here." He put Valan's arm over his shoulder and lifted him up. "Looks like you fell for it just as easily as I did." Valan said weakly.

With that, the hatch closed. The grinding of gears, and the clicks of locks started sounding throughout the room. "It's a trap."

"Now that there's only three of us,we won't be as much of a threat to those monsters.Plus,that last attack I made is rarely used,and wears out my ki."Zeik said to Ywen and Earen,looking slightly worried.Ywen stepped up."We can't let that stop us,though.Remember,the Braking of The World could happen again." "You're right,let's continue."

The three walked down the path,hearing a rustling sound in the bushes every so often.They ignored it,but soon,a bunch of goblins jumped out of the bushes."Little weaklings..."Zeik commented,unsheathing his sword.As he did,the goblins revealed two short-swords each.One in the back wore a helmet,most likely a symbol of power."ATTACK!"It commanded the others in a rather raspy voice.They all started charging,holding their weapons in the air.

Zeik,Ywen,and Earen walked forward,assuming the creatures were weaker than peanut shells.Earen kicked one over,and Zeik took a good poke at others with his sword as Ywen ran towards the leader.As soon as she struck,it pulled out a shield and blocked the attackas if it were nothing at all.It's eyes glew red,same with the rest of the army.They immediately assumed fighting stances,and fought in a more civilized way,with much moe strength and fury.This actually gave them trouble.Ywen swapped the helmet off of the 'leader',and they stopped.Eren pulled out his own weapon,and took one down.Zeik kneed one in front of him,and it fell down lifelessly.

"Seems the source was exposed..."Ywen said,laughing."We'd better destroy it so none can do that again.The smell is...almost gone too."

"We must get a move on.Who knows what may have happened to Valan and Shisho?"Earen replied,almost rushing the group.

They came down to a part with a few mountains,seeing the structure just ahead."Let's go,to the place where Valanoth and Shisho have gone."Zeik said,pointing to the fungus like building in front of him.They jumped up the cliff edges to get on level with the castle.
That's a funny wy to build a lair.They went to the main mushroom,through the mouth like door.When they got inside,it looked like the insides of an animal.The large doors shut,making a loud noise from the slam.

Ooc: I would like to say hello again all... It is me... Demon[of]Fury... Lol... BTW thnx for making this an awesome thread guys...

Valan sat back, gingerly at first, putting his back on the wall, "Why do they always go for the wings?" he muttered. Shisho looked over and saw that Valan's wings were bent in odd directions.

"So how do we get out of here?" Shisho asked, and Valan just shrugged.

"I don't really know... My guess is that the Dragon Reborn has been alerted to our presence, and he is probably on his way here..."

"So much for the element of surprise..." Shisho said.

"Well, there isn't an exit except for that door there," Valan pointed, "And it is locked down tight, and pro-- Aggh..." Valan bent over in pain, his yells grew, but then they settled,

Shisho ran over to Valan but he saw that Valan was out cold. "What was that?" Shisho
muttered to himself, then suddenly Valan's body erupted into flames, Shisho stood back,
but could still feel the heat strongly on his skin. The flames continued, and the
temperature in the room grew almost unbearable, but then the flames died down, and it
grew quite again. Shisho walked back over, carefully, to Valan. He was muttering
something, "Dragon... Watch out! I'll stop him! No, Laurana!!!" and Valan became quiet.

Shisho sat back, wondering how the others were doing. "How are we going to get out of here?"

ooc: Man Kin you always give me the hardest things to play off. ugh ugh ugh.*hits head couple of times on desk* ok i gots it!!!!1.

bic: As Shisho sat watching Valan wearily(as in carefully). Valan just layed there proped up slightly against the wall. Shisho got up and wandered around. it wasn't too big, it had 5 little sections for whatever on either side. the floor was covered in black berry vines, feathers and scales, along with a puddle of the green goo in a couple of spots. Then somthing caught his eye. He opened a gate and there was a clutch of eggs in a big hammock. the eggs were the size of his whole torso. there were 4 in all.

Dont want those to wake early thought Shisho as he backed away.

just then Valan stood up, and he seemed to be floating about 1/2 a foot off the ground. His eyes started glowing a bluish color, and the blue light also seemed to come out of his mouth. Then he spoke

" Help me please, im trapped in this horrid place! find the reborn and you will find me! i have been taken captive by the nameless one and i am to be his bride." it sounded like Valans voice but also anothers. a soothing voice, and it sounded elflike. Shisho snickered, for it sounded funny those words coming out of Valan's mouth.

"wait is the nameless one the dragon reborn? who is it?" Shisho questioned hastily.

"no its not the reborn one. he is the nameless one, you speak it and you will die from your worst fear. if you come, he will try to make you say it. hurry!" then the light cut out, and Valan fell to the ground, but he was fully healed.

"whoa!? what happened?" Valan questioned.


As the door slammed shut, they all jumped. They all drew their weapons, Ywen and Earen intently remembering the barracks on their last adventure. it was dim, candles lit all along the wall. They began walking forward and as they went, their ears picked up muffled cries and screams from all directions. they heard roars once in a while, and some of the cries were silent. The group came to a three way split. All of the ways had signs above them, but they couldn't read them. in the middle there was an old suit of armor. it had skulls and spikes on it, and it looked like the owner had been powerful.

"should we split up?" Ywen asked.

"i dont think so but it increases our chances of finding them. maybe we should. what do you think ?" Earen asked Zeik.

Zeik blinked for a second. "Well i dont know, we know this guy has some formidible opponents on his side, i say we stick together. no use getting more of us captured."

As he said he said this, the armor seemed to shake. They all turned to it, and its eye slit began glowing red. It looked down at them and took a step forward. it was about 10feet in hieght.

"this really is not helping." Zeik said as it drew a giant 2 handed rusty sword from its back. it had a searaded edge running up half way up the blade, and the other half was razor edged. Earen sheathed his sword and put on his gauntlets. The suit did a overhead cleave, but Zeik rolled to the side. Zeik then ran and jumped onto the blade, and it bent very closely to breaking. Ywen jumped beside Zeik and the blade snapped in half. the suit dropped the broken blade, and Earen locked hands with it in a power struggle.

"Go! i will hold it off! just run!" Earen yelled as he pushed against the suit. they ran down a hall, and just as Ywen looked back she saw the suit break both of Earens arms with a sickening crunch then throw him across the room.

" no!" she screamed and tried to run back to him but Zeik grabbed her and held her back.

"no, he said run, lets go, we need to find Valan and Shisho, its what he would have wanted us to do, now lets go!" He continued hauling her back as she struggled to go back. her last glimps as they turned a corner was of Earen slowly rolling on the ground, tears in his eyes as the suit advanced.

"Well apparently," Shisho replied, with a light tone. "We're not the only ones held up in this place."

"You mean the others got captured as well?" Valan asked, clearly worried. "Then we've got to get..."

"No, no, no." Shisho interrupted. "The others are fine... probably. Anyways, I'm not suprised you don't remember, but you were just possessed by a woman with cold feet."

"What?" Valan responded, switching from worried to confused. "What do you mean by that?"

"I'll explain everything as we walk." Shisho said, finally getting more serious. "But untill then, I'm going to get us out of here."

With that, he took out his Spell Book. He ventured over to where the door, that was the exit to the room, had been before the lockdown. He flipped through the pages, looking for the spell that the situation called for.

When he finally came to the one he was looking for, he pointed to it and read its name off to himself. He bent over and dipped a gloved finger into the puddle of goo that was closest to him. Using the stuff like ink, he began to paint an intricate web of symbols within a circle.

As he completed his drawing, he muttered the spoken portion of the spell. And as he let out the last syllable, he lay his palm flat on the circle. It absorbed itself into the wall with a faint yellow glow.

Shisho then took a few steps back, and motioned for Valan to do the same. After a few seconds, the wall began to sag. At first, it was just a few wrinkles, but eventually, that entire portion of the wall had melted into a pile of sludge.

"Come on, you lead the way." Shisho said. "I've got your back." "Right." Valan responded.

They entered into a gently curving corridor. The dank smell of the hall was like a field of flowers compared to the horrid, animal smell of the pen. Every few feet, there was a door with a deadbolt firmly fastened to it. An educated guess, would say they were in some kind of prison.

"I guess this is the cap of the mushroom." Shisho said. "Now we need to find a way to get into the stalk."

Zeik and Ywen hurried through the halls of the mushroom,finding many corpses and skeletons on their way."How many people have come here?"Zeik asked himself,not paying attention at all to his surroundings.His boot hit a soft spot in the ground,and they both fell into a slimy pit.Ywen got up and wiped some off."Eww,what is this goo?"They looked around the room,finding two more of the monster that took down Earen."Ooo,this is a mess.Let's try not to awake more than one at a time..."Zeik whispered,tiptoeing towards the one on the left.Ywen melded with the shadows and crept behind it.They took out their weapins,and the sound of Zeik's sword unsheathing awakened the armor they were going to take out first.

It took a huge swing around,trying to eliminate both of them at the same time.It slammed it's weapon into the soft wall,making a deep rumbling sound.The two jumped on the shoulder of the armor,but it freed the sword from the wall and flailed it around,flinging Zeik across the room,and hitting the other armor in the back of the head.It awakened,and drew an even bigger sword than the other one's.They took vertical slashes at the same time,just missing Ywen.The sound of of static was in the air,and Zeik came down on one with his thunder fist,and smashed the other one in the chest,shattering the armor.

An opening appeared,and Ywen followed Zeik in.The walls changed color,from pink and red to green and orange."Where do you think they are?"Ywen asked Zeik,now running beside him."If they really were captured,I'm guessing higher up the towers.If not,they could be anywhere.Plus-"Once again,Zeik was interrupted.This time by a huge flash that wasn't more than a few paces away.

They looked around the corner,and a stairwaywas there,looking as slippery as ever."We might aswell go up the death trap,there was no way out in that last room."Ywen nodded,and they carefully walked up the slime covered passage.When they got up to the top of the seemingly endless stairs,they met up with Shisho and Valanoth who were about to go down the stairs themselves.

ooc: ok i know im always obsessed witrh order in this, but because of plot, fury, err kindslayer gave me permission to post first.

bic: As Earen woke up, he sat on hard cold ground and he could feel that his arms were bandaged, but chained. He was so weak he couldnt even open his eyes. Then he felt somthing cool and wet on his forhead being pressed down and wiping his face

" thanks leana that feels nice..." Earen said in a dream-like state. Suddenly he jerked around and opened his eyes. he instinctivly reached for his back for his sword but nothing was there.
In front of him was one of the most beautiful elf he had ever seen.

"wh wh who are you?" He said staring at her.

" i am terra " she said continuing to dab a wet rag on his forhead.

"wow, your pretty." He said looking at her.

"well i am part nymph, part elf im sure thats what it is. what is that terrible burn on your hand?" She said looking up at the bruised, cut up hand.

" it was some blood from a creature, it dripped on me. wait, where am i and where is my stuff? i need to find my friends please help me." he said trying to get up, but fell back down in immense pain.

"sit down, we arent going anywhere. first, your stuff is over there in that basket, but he took your sword. second, we are in the reborn one's fortress(spl?). and i dont know where your friends are, but i contacted one, so hopefully they will come." she said.

"please, you need to unlock me, i need to leave here."

"i am sorry, i cant, if i had the key, i would have left a long time ago." she said, pointing to a chain and clamp on her ankle that connected to the wall. Earen closed his eyes, and looked like he was in immense pain. tears slowly dripped down his face, but then his arms seem to get their color back and the bruising dissapeared.

"who, how?" she said staring.

" i am a paladin, and i can heal people including myself." Just as he said this he heard the door click, and they both stared. The knob turned and the door swung open...

The door swung open, and there stood the rest of the group, Shisho, Valan, Ywen, and Zeik. Valan stepped in first, and saw the elf, "I've seen you... Was it you that contacted me?"

"Yes, I'm glad you found me, we need to get out of here... Lews will be here soon and he will not be happy."

Valan walked forward and took Earen's chains in both hands and snapped them, he did the same with Terra's bonds. He helped Terra up, "I can't leave until this "Reborn" is dead... If I die trying then so be it... but He needs to be stopped, and soon the ritual will be performed and he will be the most vunerable..."

"Valan's right, we can't just come here and then leave... We need to take this guy out." Shisho said.

They turned to leave, "Earen... I want you to go with Terra, protect her so that nothing happens to her." Valan said.

Then, they heard a loud banging, it was coming from one of the cells, then a roar rung out, "Lets see whats behind door number 3..." Valan opened the door and a large figure jumped on his and started slashing at Valan. The party moved forward as one and knocked the figure off of Valan, and they saw that his face was bloody. The figure stood up, and started to charge again but stopped, "You're not the demons... Why are you here?"

Zeik stepped forward, "We're here to defeat the Reborn."

"Well, it's a lot harder than you think it is, I tried, and look where I ended up. Who are you?"

"I'm Zeik, this is Earen, Shisho, Ywen, and Terra, and I see you've already met Valan."

"Valan? Now that isn't a common name, is it short for anything?"

Valan stood back up healing his wounds, "Yes, its short for Valanoth, and you are?"

"Kyrne, Kyrne Vyrdune, I've been paid by the Arcamenel to take out the Reborn, since they recently lost one of their best assassins."

Valan's mind flashed back to 34 years ago, he was in the arena, he was fighting an opponent, then everything went black.

"You were the Arena Champion for a time weren't you?" Kyrne asked.

"Yes, until I was defeated, and now that I remember, it was by you."

"That was long ago, I no longer fight in the arena. We need to get our weapons back if we are going to take out the Reborn, we, err... you, can't fight with just your hands."

"Well lets get going, we could use the help."

They headed off towards a hallway, when they found a lesser demon, Kyrne rushed forward and grabbed it by the throat, "Where is the armory!?" The small demon pointed off in a direction. Kyrne tore the demon's throat out, "Lets go..."
