Two of light, Two to Fight (onilinkc4)

OoC: I don't know what characters you'll be using, so I'll just put them as anonymous until they enter the battle. The links to Jayco and Lance are in my sig.

BiC: Lance took a peep around the corner. Good. Noone there. He turned around it, and, stepping delicately over a faux polar bear rug, scanned to see what was there.

He was standing in a great hall, one that could easily host a troupe of kings. On one side of the room was a large ornate carpet-like rug that went from that side of the room down to the other- this was a bright red and had gold lacings on it. The floorboards which it rested on were a faded brown colour, probably the result of time. The rest of the room looked rather homely, and two tables sat directly overlooking a magnificent balcony. They were cicular shaped and had a vase with a red rose inisde of them. the petals of the roses drooped over slightly, and petals adorned the tables.

"Wow. This room is old," Lance thought aloud.

He strode over to the table and sat down. He half expected the room to suddenly change into something else, as the dome usually did, but it did not. Lance stood up and rolled up the sleeves of his long shirt, peering inquisitively at something he had not seen before.

There was a door. It sat paralell to the tables, on the other side of the room. lance walked over to it, noting the large golden chandelabra that had just appeared as well, hanging over his head. As he approache dthe door, he notied how perfectly it fitted in with the theme of the hall. It was a brown colour, like the floorboards,but blotches of red paint covered the corners of the door. A large amethyst was fitted into teh middle of it, with pure gold circling it.

Lance reached out and twisted the handle. Nothing. Narrowing his eyebrows, he tryed again. It still didn't budge. Sighing with exasperation he fell to the floor, cross-legged.

He turned to see the door swing open. He had mixed emotions about this, but when he got up he glared at the door in annoyance.

"This is over between us, door..." he said as he walked through it.

Jayco twisted his head around, listening to the hoofbeats of Jefira at the same time.

Why are they after me?

He looked back, grabbing the reins of the stracknoch and scanning the landscape. It was mainly green and grassy, with dandelions that had been trampled underfoot by Jefira laying sadly amongst them. To Jayco's right was a forest, one that he had been following for some time. Someone had been trailing him, and when he turned to look they vanished, most likely hiding in the woods. Seeing no sign of followers, he turned his attention to his mount and urged her onwards.

Lance scratrched an itch on the back of his neck. The bugs and critters in this area were groiwng increasingly annoying as they bit and buzzed around his head. The door he had came out of had closed behind him, and looked rather out of place in a field. He was about to start unstrapping his staff off of his back, when he heard something.

It was hooves. Someone was riding a horse toward him. He looked to where the sound was coming from and saw someone riding towards him. He walked out of the way just as the man riding the horse zoomed past him. Lances hair flew in the air as the gust crated by the horse blew into his face. He watched in sadness as the man galloped away. He had hoped someone had told him where he was.

He turned the other wya and heard hooves again. he turned to see the man riding towards him again. Lance stood in the same position as the horse stopped right before him. The man ontop of it had long, black hair, and was wearing a light brown shirt that was literally coated in grime and was worn out. His pants were the same colour as his hair, and were rather baggy. He looked down at lance, a concerned expression on his face.

"Have you been following me?"

Lance blinked. "No...I just arrived here, and was wondeirng where I am..."

The rider seemed releived for a moment. "I can tell you haven't been tailing me, but a few people have. Sorry for any accusations. My name's Jayco, what's yours?"

"I'm Lance."

Jayco nodded solemnly. "I see. Well, Lance, this is holodrum."

Lance stared at him for a moment."Oh, i've heard of this pla-"

Lance froze as he heard a deep voice behind him. "Finall, I've found you!"

OoC: Sorry it took so long, but I didn’t know you already had it up for 1 week. Oh, also, I’ll be using Droz and Rayu, link in my sig. Also, sorry if you don’t like the set up for my characters chasing you, I couldn’t really think of anything else.

BiC:

Droz was in a diner, thinking about Rita, he himself was not sure if he did or didn’t have feelings for her. The smell of warm cooked meals and the smell of some red wine filled his nose. He was thinking about his past with her as a little baby dragon playing on the mountain they lived on. Suddenly, he thought getting her a gift, nothing special, but something that she would like. Droz got up on his feet and started walking towards the door. As he approached the door he saw a poster, a wanted poster. It had the name Jayco on it. The picture was of a muscular man with green eyes, black hair, and a ripped brown t-shirt. The poster read,

‘Please bring this person in for question, he was the last person seen near a crime. If seen, please bring in to the southern side of town.’

Interesting, the black dragon thought to himself. Droz then scrolled down to see something, Wow! Droz thought as he looked at the zeros on the reward. With this, I can buy anything she’ll want. All right then, it’s settled. I am going after this guy, the black dragon thought. He then looked to his left and saw through a window the same man on the poster go by on a horse. Droz then ran outside and looked around. The black dragon saw in the distance the man on his horse. Droz then turned around and saw a man with horses for sale. I could catch him by flight, but I don’t wanna tire out, he looks strong so I’ll need the energy, the black dragon thought. He immediately grabbed the reins of a horse and dropped a few dozens of gold coins. Droz mounted the horse and rode after the man.

“Hey! You need to pay for that horse!” the salesman yelled. Droz looked back and yelled,

“It’s on the ground!” Droz then turned his head back and rode off.

Rayu was patiently awaiting another assignment from his teacher when he decided to roam The Dome. He slowly walked to his door heavy metal door and opened it. He stepped out of his room and into the hallowed halls of the dome. His side of the mystical land was always eerie in his eyes. Plus, the blindingly white walls with a very little, but very bright light over him always hurt his eyes a little. Rayu then started walking around; his curiosity nagging at him to see more. As he passed along the hallways, his eyes skimmed the doors. Red door with black stripes, green door with a big white blotch, a pink door with roses; all these doors were making his eyes slightly hurt. The fire mage then stopped suddenly.

“This place…” Rayu took a pause then said, “…is boriiiing!” The Wood Elf yelled with his hands in the air. Then out of nowhere the area he was in started to shake.

“Then why don’t I take you to some place exciting then?” A voice said laughing eerily afterwards.

“What?” Rayu asked as a door opened right next to him. When the door completely opened a flash of light appeared. Then all of a sudden a slight pull happened. Rayu was slowly being pushed into the direction of the door. “What the?!” Rayu said as he was then thrown into the door with Rayu having no idea what was on the other side.

Droz was riding his horse as he reached his target. Then out of nowhere a body flew out of nowhere and knocked him off his horse. The horse went running for a few seconds until it stopped. The black dragon sat up and looked around. What the f*** hit me? Droz thought to himself. He then saw a familiar face getting up from the ground.

“Rayu?” The black dragon said. The person then looked over and had the same reaction.

“Droz!” The Wood Elf said. They both got up and approached each other. “Good to see ya old friend,” Rayu said with a smile.

“Old? I’m only 24?”

“Yeah, in dragon years. In elfin years you’re seventy-two hundred!” Rayu replied. They both shared a small chuckle, but then Droz stopped suddenly. Rayu noticed this and asked, “What’s the matter?”

“I’m on a little mission right and I have to do it as quickly as possible,” Droz said as he walked over to the horse that was just standing there, eating some grass.

“Why’s that?” the fire mage asked.

“There’s a reward in it for me and I’ll be able to use for a gi-” Droz then stopped, but Rayu knew already what he was gonna say.

“A gift? For who? It’s for Rita isn’t it? What ever happened to that: “Oh no we’re not a couple, we’re just friends” thing you said during the war between Rabana and Lussu?”

“Th-That’s none of your business!” Droz snapped. Rayu just lightly chuckled at this and followed him to the horse. Droz then mounted the four-legged mammal and scooted forwards a little to give Rayu some room to get on. Rayu mounted the horse and rode away with Droz to get this man.

Rayu and Droz then reached their target and saw that he had met up with a friend.

“Finally, I’ve found you,” the black dragon said as he jumped off his horse, then soon followed by the Wood Elf’s presence.

“Psst, Droz, what are we doing?” Rayu whispered.

“This guy is wanted for questioning and I’m gonna take him in. Apparently he’s accused of doing something really bad, that’s why the reward is so big,” Droz answered.

“You two, what are you two doing?”

“We’re here to take you in. You can go in the easy way…” Droz then stopped to pull out his sword. Rayu saw this and pulled his out as well. “Or you can go in the hard way. You’re choice. Which is it?” The black dragon said.

OoC: Well…there ya go.

OoC: Jayco snt bad, but it would be fitting if someone set him up ^^ Tis good.

BiC: Lance unsheathed his spear and grasped it firmly in his hand. "Hmm. I think I'll do what I want, because you have no command over me. I have done nothing sin-worthy, if that is what you are after. However, if you continue to bother me that could certainly change"

Lance folded his arms, feigning weariness." Um, Jayco? There probably not worth worrying about..."

Both of the elven-looking people stepped forward. the white haired one waved his sword menacingly.

"So, whats it going to be? If you don't obey us, we will take you in- of course, if you want to stay here, we would gladly help you do so..."

Lance had suddenly come to the realization that they were deadly serious. He brought out his staff and twirled it in his hand for extra effect.

"Ha. I think your forgetting that I am the Laitari! Bringer of light and justice!" He held up his hands and pretended to o some kind of demon-banishing spell. The two stepped back slightly, though they did not sheath their swords. lance felt kind of foolish, but he kept up teh act. Jayco seemed to catch on and held his spear into the air.

"I am jayco, gaurdian of the laitari!"

Unfortunately, Jayco's pose had given it away due to the obvious smile playing on his lips. The white haired man stepped forward.

" Laitari or not, we will take you back to where you belong."

He leapt forward, sword high in the air. Lance neatly stepped to the side and cuffed his neck as he reached the ground. He grinned cheekily.

"Oops, you slipped! How clumsy."

The man quickly whirled around and swiped at lances torso, but Lance brought his staff up to deflect the blow, though the force of it sent a shuuder up the combatants arms. Lance grimaced in pain, thanking his swift reactions for the move. The man swirled back and readied himself for another attack. Lance gathered energy into his hand. It was time to bring magic into play.

Jayco was watching Rayu closely. The warrior wa sunpredictable, and Jayco had only been able to parry his moves. He couldn't find a way to snake throughthe elf's defenses, either. They bothed stared at each other right in the eye, never blinking. Jayco suddenly lunger forward, intending to stab the elf right in the chest. However, he merely jumped backwards and slashed Jaycos arm, blood spilling out onto his ripped shirt. jayco bared his teeth.

"Now....You've just given me a reason to hurt you!"

He lunged forward, throwing his spear right at the opponents heart.

OoC: The whole set up thing was what I was going for. Also, could you delete your post? I don't really like spammy battles.

BiC:

Lance quickly moved his hands in an odd, but before Droz knew it, the Laitari lunged at the dragon warrior. The Laitari swung his staff, but the dragon warrior dodged the Mornama. Droz then lifted his sword and was about the bring it down on Lance’s right arm when Lance quickly lifted his left hand and shot a small blue bolt and it hit Droz’ arm, freezing it immediately. Droz jumped back and looked at the frozen limb. The dragon tried with his might to bend the limb and did to and broke off the ice. Some pieces stayed on Droz, but the black dragon quickly stuck his sword in the ground and picked those pieces off.

The spear was heading towards Rayu with incredible speed. Rayu put incredible strain on his eyes, but figured out where the spear was going to hit. Then in about half a second Rayu raised his hand and put it up in the direction of the spear. “Temperature Control!” Rayu yelled as a big red-hot flame blew out of his hand and burned the spear’s wood half off. Unfortunately Rayu thought the head was made of iron, but it was made of steel so it kept and embedded itself into the fire elf’s left hand. Blood shot out and splattered on Rayu’s shirt. Rayu immediately dropped his staff and pulled out the spearhead from his palm.

OoC: Sorry for the shortness and the time it took me to make this. I’ve been busy replying to other battles.

OoC: that’s okay, you responded to the battle which is what I was hoping XD

BiC:

Jayco looked on in horror as his beloved spearhead was detached from the pole and thrown to the ground. He had forged it himself and was one of the first things he had made in the heat of a blacksmith’s workshop. The warrior quickly rolled to the side as the elf’s sword thudded into the earth only inches away from him. Jayco threw out his arm to grasp the pole of the spear, and then swung it straight into Rayu’s stomach.

“Ooh!”

Jayco jumped to his feet just as the effects of winding Rayu kicked in. the wood elf staggered backwards, clutching his stomach. Jayco looked down to see the bloody spearhead lying forlornly at his feet. The fighter quickly reached down to grab it and screwed it onto the pole, noticing something strange.

The spearhead’s nail had literally melted into it. Jayco also noticed that it was also very warm and that the figure was deformed. Jayco sighed and lunged towards Rayu as the adversary readied himself for a strike.


Though lance knew he had a small control over the elements, he had never figured out that he could FREEZE things before. He would have to keep this in mind when he was on his travels and memorise the mind sequence to do so.

Something disturbed him about the opponent also. He hadn’t tired even slightly and seemed to be getting progressively stronger. Lance did not fare well against hand –to hand combat and really was only good at defending. The mage-warrior held out his hand at the opponent and a swirl of flame erupted in it.

“Like fire, wood elf?”

The fire jettisoned out of Lance’s hand and erupted on the opponent’s clothing. The effect was obvious- the elf shouted and desperately tried to put the fire out, but to no avail. Lance looked on as he started to burn and his mouth twitched with a frown.

“I didn’t…mean to…”

Droz’s clothes and some skin were burning. Droz had enough of this heat and decided to put an end to it. Droz then sprouted his wings and started flapping them. The extreme winds put out the flames, but his clothes were almost completely torched. Droz’s eyes cruised around and looked at the one called Lance. The Laitari looked amazed at the dragon. Droz’s scarlet eyes looked at the human with anger; Droz opened his lips and said,
“I’m not an Elf. I’m a dragon,”

Rayu was running towards the Zercurian and vice versa. Jayco shot out a ray of light and hit Rayu in his left arm. The light magic had a small effect on him however. Rayu still was hurt, which gave Jayco enough time to pierce Rayu’s left shoulder with his Harkelberdia. Jayco then started turning the spear and caused more pain upon Rayu. The fire elf quickly raised his right hand and shot an icy blue flame on the left side of Jayco’s face. The black haired human then immediately and jumped back and put his hand on his right cheek which was now completely numb.

"Oh...that's not good...."

Lance narrowly missed a sky-attack from Droz as he plummeted towards him, intent on causing him as much damage as possible. Lance sidestepped the attack, twirlihing his staff and jumping towards droz, the blade flashing in the sun. Droz dodged it with apparent ease and shot a beam of energy straight at Lance, catapulting him towards the other two.

Jayco and Rayu turned to see the teenager skidding to a stop in the grass. The mage jumped to his feet and ran towards the black dragon, Jayco and Rayu wtaching in interest. He threw his staff into the air, and with a tremendous leap, grabbed the weapon and blasted droz with a bolt of pure ice magic, completely freezing Droz's wing over. With a howl of annoyance, the winged opponent sunk a few inches, one of his wings flapping madly to keep him supported. Lance manipulated the air to lower himself to the ground to see Jayco jump out of nowhere and brought his halberd down on Rayu's head, knocking him out cold.

Droz slowly descended to the earth, the ice on his wing melting off his skin. The dragon glared at Jayco and Lance, his muscles bunching up for a fight.

Jayco rushed towards him, swiping with the harkelberdia. With a lightning quick reflex Droz grabbed the handle and spun it around, throwing Jayoc off balance. Lance sh0ook his head, then gathered energy in his hands. A cloud of shadow erupted form them, drifting towards Droz and blocking out his vision. The enraged opponent roared and headed straight for Lance.

‘Two versus one. I have to wake Rayu,’ Droz thought as he approached Lance. Droz still couldn’t see and was relying solely on his other four senses. Droz finally located Rayu, but realized he had been going in the wrong direction for his scent was getting weaker and another had been getting stronger.

The black dragon immediately stopped and was now in front of the other scent. The black shadow had disappeared was now able to see that Lance was now right in front of him. ‘S***!’ Droz yelled in his mind as Lance quickly attacked him with his staff. Right in the middle of the forehead was where he got hit. The hit had a lot of force behind it; it had caught Droz off guard and he was well on his way to the ground. Droz, now at a forty-five degree angle quickly acted and blasted Lance with an incredibly strong magic blast. The blast connected and both Droz and Lance were temporarily open the ground.

OoC: Sorry for the short post.

Lance grunted and rose to his feet, the staff he had previously been clutching now flung out of his hands by the magical blast Droz had endeavoured in. The mage stumbled over to his weapon, grabbing it and simultaneously dropping and rolling to one side, the grass where his staff had been charred to a cinder.

The dragon-man above him raised his hand once again, determined to dispose of, or at least knock out, the young magic user. His spell was interrupted by a shout that forced itself from his throat; a ring of flame had suddenly surrounded the combatants, forcing Jayco outside of his viewing position and causing the prone figure of Rayu to catch fire. Lance turned, cursing inwardly at the sight. The elf was an enemy, though if he didn't douse out the fire, the burning boy would surely die. Letting his conscience take control, he held out the palm of his hand and thought out the words of an incantation in his mind.

"Water rush!"

Molecules of air gathered in his palm, the extract converting into water. A stream of pure, magical water erupted from his hand, pouring over the unfortunate Rayu, then, bringing his opposite hand up as if scooping something from the ground, some wind gathered underneath Rayu, forming a small vortex underneath the elf and bringing him over to the centre of the battlefield. His task done, the mage turned and faced the entity that had been watching them all along.

OoC: Ooooh, it gets mysterious...also, it's the 9th...so...I fail. D8
