Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: Ok this is my first attempt at a battle so I don't know how Ill do but Ill give it my best try. Ok here it goes.

BiC:
The moon shone brightly in the night sky above the secluded forest. The leaves on the trees flickered in the light cold breeze. The moonlight passed through canopy shinning on the earthen path below the tall deciduous trees. The wood lay in nearly complete silence, the only noise was that of a horse’s shoes clicking along the ground.

A dark cloaked figure was leading their horse through the forestry unaware that only a couple of hundred yards behind them was a beautiful Gerudo gliding silently through the trees watching their every move.

“Keep it up Sabi you nearly have them just a couple more yards.” Sabureela thought to herself.

She now lay quietly hidden in a tree barely a few feet away from her prey. She slowly and carefully drew one of the short weighted throwing knives from the red cloth around her waist. Silently taking aim she held it before her eye and then tossed it with impressive accuracy straight at the figure’s cloaked neck…..

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: Hey, I guess I'll "reserve" my spot, i'll post up later, very nice for your first battle, very good description. I'll be using Rec (click the moving girl on the right of my sig, with the teal shirt).

BiC: Rec was walking back from the fishing town on the trade route, there was a slight nipping cold in the air, she bundled up in her cloak for warmth. At the town she stocked up with plenty of supples, this was good and bad, she spent all the money Rio (her older brother) had given her on food, that's about it. She was weighed down with all the snack cakes and cookies she bought, she sat down on a log to rest, and popped a lemon cookie into her mouth. she tookm in her surroundings, she was in one of the forests that the trade route cut through, it dense with trees and animal sounds. A few birds squwacked above her, she thought nothing of it. There were flies buzzing about, attracted by the unnatural light emitting from her elemental gems, she let out a quick burst of electrisisty, they fell to the groud.

"Haha, just like fly zappers they have at home," Rec smirked. She got up and continuted to walk, she was heading to the valley, that's the next stop, about a 4 days walk from where she was. While she was trudging along, another group of birds squwacked again, flying south, the same direction as the others.

"A trader walking alone in the forest.... perfect," Sabi said to herself, smiling at the easy prey. "Maybe I'll let this one go, he's short, doesn't look like he's carrying too much," but than Sabi saw something flash, her keen eyes honed to the spot. "Gold...." she told herslef, she croutched down and stealfully approached the intruder.

"Just a couple more yards..." she thought, she layed down and realesed a dagger, with deadly accuracy.

"Ah-" Rec barely had time to screm, a dagger, coming from behind fly graz poast her, it left a gash, her cloak fell to the ground. She stood there stunned for a moment trying to relize what's going on. She dropped her food, and turned around to nothingness.

"How did I miss?" Sabu scolded herself, she rain around the clearing to fetch her blood stained dagger. "I've lost the element of surprise, but I still have strength, this is just a little girl," She threw it again, this time Rec was ready, she saw it coming and dove out of the way. She wasn't in the mood for death games.

"Show yourself!" She yelled to emptyness. "I said, show yourslef!" Her hih-pitched girlish scream sent birds flying everywhich way. Sbu didn't move. "Fine than, I'll make you show yourself," and with that, her gems flashed for a seconds, elemental rings started circling around them, and than she realesed a mighty subsound blast emmited from the rings (OoC: subsound is like the wound when you turn the bass on a song really high and blast it through your subwoofer), Sabu clenched her ears at the noise, but that did nothing, she fell tot he ground out in the clearing where Rec saw her.

Sabu quickly snapped up, her ears still slightly ringing.

"Why did you attack me?" Rec questioned.

"For those," Sabu responded, charging at Rec.

OoC: Okay, I think I set this up for you, continue onwards!

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: Ok good job you set it up better than I did. Ill try hard to keep up.

Bic:

“Crap how did I miss!”

Thought Sabi, she couldn’t believe she had lost the element of surprise but her mood lightened when she saw her opponent was a tiny little girl.

“Piece of cake, Ill have those golden gems in less than two minutes.”

She rushed to the site where her bloodstained dagger lay, picking it up she returned to the cover of the high tree branches. Once around to the other side of the youngster she let the knife fly again. This time the girl dodged easily and the blade went crashing into a tree, embedding itself in the trunk.

The girl didn’t seem too happy that she was being attacked; she screamed something that Sabi could barely make out because it was so high pitched. After that the girl seemed to go in a state of deep concentration. Sabi could feel the magical energy building in the air.

“This isn’t going to be quite as easy as I thought; she’s stronger than she looks.”

Suddenly a huge awful noise filled the night sky sending birds flying off in every direction. It caught Sabi completely off guard, raising her hands to her ears she fell right out of the tree she was standing recovering just in time to pull off a decent landing. She landed in the centre of the clearing only a couple of steps from the youngster who now had the smug look of a child that just crushed a slug beneath their shoe.

“Why did you attack me!? Why!?”
Screamed the little girl in that irritating high pitched childish voice.

Sabi quickly drew her sabre from her side. She held it in her left hand admiring it for a split second then gave it a quick twirl before turning her attention back to the annoying ignorant child. She was going to get those gems.

“Why did I attack you? For those little beauties of course.”

Sabi replied lacing her voice with the kindest of tones just for added effect. She readied her blade and then raced at full speed at the child.

Rec moved with impressive speed for someone so young she easily side-stepped the slash from Sabi’s sabre. She heard a loud “thud” from behind her. She turned quickly to she the Gerudo had kicked off the large tree which her knife was embedded, the knife which she had recovered and now lay clenched in her right hand, and now she was running at Rec again. Within seconds the knife was flying at Rec’s neck for the third time that night. Rec leaped high into the air narrowly dodging it but the Gerudo was still coming at her fast. Thinking fast Rec concentrated and then let a strong stream of air fly from her hands straight at her assailant. The blast of air sent Rec flying back through the air straight towards a high tree branch which she landed on gracefully.

While this was going on Sabi was seriously feeling the worse end of things as she was being crushed beneath the pressure of the wind that was holding her to the ground. She could hardly stand under the weight that was coming down on her. She managed to do a quick roll and get free from the current that was compressing her. She had lost a lot of time getting free though, more time than she would have liked. Quickly regaining her bearings she looked about searching for that infuriating kid. Finally she spotted her landing softly on a tree branch in the upper canopy. Sabi quickly retrieved her knife and then swiftly began the ascent to the top of the tree where Rec stood watching the scene below……..

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

Rec stood there as Sabi gracefully landed on the branch above her. Rec's gems flashed, Sabi eyed up her prize.

"You know you can't have them right?" Rec told her informativally.

"I get whatever I want..." Sabi said, she jumped higher into the tree where Rec couldn't see her, she threw another knife, Rec was getting used to this now, Sabi had a sort of routine to her, hid, throw, retrieve, hid again, etc. She knew that if she could break one of the events, she might catch Sabi off guard and have enough time to escape.

Sabi cursed her aim. "Why can't I hit her?". Suddenly she saw her prey pick up her knife. "Like she knows how to use it" Sabi smirked at Rec's inexperiance as she grasped the dagger all wrong. Her gem flashed, and Rec flung the knife into the tree, it missed Sabi by a long shot, at least 5 feet. Sabi revieled herslef "Ha, you missed!"

"Wasn't aiming for you," Rec simply smirked as the super-heated knife ignited the tree, Sabi jumped out onto the ground. "Catch me if you can!" Rec said, practically laughing. She took off, Sabi was amazed at her speed, but she knew she was faster... Rec knew it too.

She treets this fight as if it was game! Sabi told herslef after retriving her knife and chasing after Rec. I'll show her a game...

OoC: Yes, I know, very short, sorry, I'll try to post more often now.

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: Ok time to turn up the heat. Get ready.

The pair of fighters began to run between the massive trees, sprinting like cheetahs. Sabi’s sight blurred from the immense pace she was travelling at. Her eyes burned from the wind rushing into her face, but still she could make out the figure of a little girl a couple of feet ahead. The Gerudo was gaining ground on the retreating human. Inches lay between them.

Three inches…….two inches……..one inch.

The Gerudo could have ended it within that moment, the bare girl’s neck less than an inch from her, but she wanted pay back at this little wretch. She was going to make her suffer for her games.

Sabi raced past the little child, a smirk lining her face. Quickly Rec lost sight of the women who was now metres ahead of her. Sabi had once more retreated to the shadows. Rec continued on, wanting to be as far away for her assailant as possible.

Something glittered in the corner of Rec’s left eye. She pulled her head back. A knife flew by, shining in the moonlight. The blade missed the young girl’s neck by a single centimetre. Rec’s gaze followed the dagger as it embedded itself in a nearby tree trunk.

“So predictable. She’ll just recover it n……”

“SMACK!”

Sabi’s stoat left shoulder smashed into the human girl’s jaw. Rec lost her balance. Blood sprayed on contact.

Rec looked up, no sign of anyone.

“SMASH!”

A cruel heel kick crashed into the back of the young girl’s head. She toppled to the ground, blood streaming from her mouth and soaking into the soft ground.

Slowly Rec began to lift herself from the ground. Her clothes were covered in dirt and crimson blood. He stood on her two feet, shaking slightly, her hair covering her face. Her fists were clenched, her mouth tight. Every muscle in her body was shaking from tension.

“SHOW YOURSELF!”

Rec’s gems flashed. Her head tilted back. Her hair rose. Her arms lifted.

A giant pillar of fire erupted from her fists. Flames quickly licked up the dry ground. Sparks flew everywhere. Leaves caught fire. Embers flickered at trees. Huge flames of yellows, oranges, and reds coated the entire forest. A horrible dark smoke filled the air. An awful red glow lit the whole area.

Rec lay panting in the middle of it. Her body exhausted. She was near a state of collapse.

“I’m right here.”

Sabi’s slim figure stood, slightly charred, towering over the little girl, her sabre drawn.

OoC: Sorry if that was a bit over the top. I think you still have a fighting chance though. Remember my characters just had to avoid a giant pillar of fire, which, by the way, is still burning.

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: O, Sry for not responding, here I go, elemental spirit time (sheck her profile, click her sprite, the right one in my sig)

BiC: "Are you finished fighting yet little girl?" Sabi said as she approached REC. Rec was laying on her kees, gasping for air,Sabi came up and kicked her over to her belly, drawing her saber and pointing it at her throat.

"Surrender your gems, or you die, and I take them, either way, I win," Sabi pressed it closer.

"I.... can't!" Rec muttered out beneth the blade. "They are attached to me, and can't be used by anyone else!

"I don't think the attched to you part is much of a problem," Sabi drew a samll knife out, Rec's eyes gew bigger, "and as for the using, who said I want to use them, selling these will get me just as much money." Sabi's knife drew closer to Rec's skin

"No!" She screamed out, all of the bird flew away, her gems flashed, Sabi didn't notice. "I can't let you kill me!" she blinked, her eye's turned a glowing white, her hair begain to rise.

"AHHH!" She realesed her aggression on the blade, her arm over threw Sabi's, and her other hand snapped the saber in two. She got up, Sabi knew Rec was in pure rage, and Sabi knew she was the target.

Rec clased her hand together and realed a fireball, 3 of them. Sabi skillfully jumped to dodge. Rec wasn't thinking straight, her only goal right now was to killl Sabi, nothign else mattered. Rec threw ice, and produced lightning, and summoned tidal waves. Sabi drew all of them, than Rec summoned the two things Sabi couldn't protect against.

First gravity, Rec threw her to the ground, she was pinned inside ofa purple sphere of hell. Than Rec casted sound, much worse than the last time she did, Sabi couldn't move her hands to cover her ears, she took the blast, nearly defining her. Rec than casted two final attacks, ice, shortly followed by water, it created a blast of humid steam. Rec stopped glowing and fell to the ground. Sabi saw and felt the feild around her diminish.

OoC: Okay, we're pretty even now, Sabi is really, really beat up, and Rec is extremly tired, I think its pretty even now.

EDIT: Post #600, w00t w00t, I rule.

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: I'll try to keep this going for a bit longer but I can't garentee it, I have to stop messing with you sooner or later . Oh and thanks for breaking my sabre by the way

BiC:

The striking Gerudo lay gasping with her back to the ground. Her whole body shook with each breath, her hands quivered and her legs trembled. A deep red blood tainted her smooth skin, spreading across her tanned body. Dark burns lined the sides of her soft middle, cuts where a frequent sight on her thin stature.

Several metres away from her lay Rec, she too was in a pitiful state. Her hair fell down over her young face; her midnight black eyes seemed dim. Her chest heaved up and down at regular intervals. The rest of her body lay still.

All around the two young women an immense fire continued to burn. The once serene forest lay in waste. Greens and browns had turned to red and yellows. Giant tree trunks stood half upright, crumpled. Bare branches coated the barren forest floor. Deep punctures riddled their ways between vast black burn marks. Smoke continued to rise into the chaotic night sky.

“Come on Sabi, get up! What are you a coward! You will not lose to such a pitiful human child!”

The Gerudo turned herself onto her flat burnt stomach, tremors of pain coursed through her body at the touch of the hot woodland floor. Slowly, cringing with pain Sabureela began to lift herself. First went down the left arm, followed by the right. Gradually her toned abdomen started to rise from the charred earth. Inch by inch, her total mass rose from the floor. She stood shakily, her hand clamped across her left shoulder, her long dark hair flowing loosely down her back. She ground her rows of teeth against each, pure and utter determinate controlling her complete being.

Like lightening her legs bent, her stomach tensed. With her full pace she launched off towards the young girl.

Rec to had begun to rise from the ground, she was half up. A vicious heel caught her below the ribs.

She screamed out in pain.

Her breath was crushed from her lungs with the force. She toppled back to the ground her arms wrapped around her gut, rolling across the dirt in excoriating pain. A bunch of dirty fingers gripped into her dark hair, pulling her head from the ground.

“Crack”

A truly nasty punch smacked into the side of her face.

“Smack”

Another one followed it. Then another and another and another, a cruel barrage of knuckles were crashing unmercifully into the young girl face. Fist after fist after fist. Her head was spinning. Her sight was flickering, going black.

“Crunch”

With one final lethal swing her body collapsed to the charred forest floor once more, the fingers releasing her stinging locks.

The dark Gerudo’s tough bloody knee pushed down on the little child’s poor chest. Her breathing shortened considerablely, the weight began to compress her lungs. Rec felt the sharp ice-cold blade of one the Gerudo’s throwing knife against her soft quivering neck.

“So… Are you…ready…to give… up…those…?”

The Gerudo gave a wide tired smirk as the words shook through her exhausted lips.

OoC:Lets see you get out of this.

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

OoC: Wow, you really gave me a lot to work with[/sarcasm]. Nah, this is good, one of us had to gain the edge at one point in time. Just remember not to kill me, that would really suck. Sorry about your saber, lol, its a general consensious after the battles your healed and all your weapons are back, etc. I know, Rio (my other character) has los his sheild so many times... I'll post later on.

OoC2: Okay, since there is no way Sabi is going to weaken physically, or Rec is going to power up, I'll play on emotional sense. Please tell me if I said something that does not fit, I double checked the bio.

Sabi was hanging over Rec like a hungry-wolf over its dead prey. She was ready to kill the young girl, inyet, the girl had no fear. Rec simple layed there, eyes barely open, no emotion showing. The only noise present was the deep breathing of both warriors. Sabi looked apon Rec, and suddenly a vison came to her, and a tear feel out of her eye.

Sabi saw a little girl, Rec's age, in a fight with 3 other older woman. The odds were agaisn't the girl but the she still tried. After a few minutes of fighting, on of the older woman beat the girl down. The others walked away while the one scolded her.

"Get up! Get up now!" the older woman said.

"I... can't," the girl whimpered.

"You have failed as fighter, and as a daughter!", the older woman walked away, leaving the child to cry to herself. Sabi's eyes opened wide, that was her. She was the little girl. All of these flash-backs came to her of her training. If she wasn't good enough, she was scolded, if she was too good, she was beaten down as not to be a threat to the elders. Nothing was ever right.

Sabi than looked onto Rec, a young girl who has so much to live for, on the ground with a knife pressed to her throat.

Rec felt the cold blade relive itself. Sabi got up, and looked down onto Rec.

OoC: Well, I tried to "end" the fight without one of us dieing, I can see the angle where you could continue it, but this might just be it, i donno, see what you can do with it.

Re: Forest of Knives (1 vs 1 anyone)

Slowly, ever so slowly the totally exhausted Gerudo rose to her shaking feet. Her silky hair fell down across her face in a chaotic state, her tanned skin burning and racked with thin hairline cuts penetrating deep its tender surface, her body hunched over. With every separate breath you could see her chest rise and fall heavily, with each breath you could hear her lungs searching for oxygen among the smoke filled air.

Slower still she stuck a trembling leg forward, slower still she placed it down quivering, slower still she lifted the other, slower still she placed it down shaking uncontrollably. Faster then, she fell, her entire body collapsing forward, falling forward onto the burning floor. Frozen then, her body lay, slung motionless atop the fiery ash. A cloud of dust rose from where she fell into the thick air and then fell once more covering the limp body.

The young girl, Rec, watched the scene in complete and absolute silence. She lay motionless, unmoving, unanimated. Dark thoughts entered her mind.

“Finally its over, finally its finished.”

A voice whispered in the deeper depths of her mind, an innocent voice, her true voice.

“What are you doing? She’s dieing and you’re lying her watching doing nothing? She spared you! This is not you. You are not this person. Get out my body, fiend!”

Her emotions began to surface once again; her mind was returning. Ashamed with herself she rushed to her feet and sprinted full pace towards the collapsed body lying atop the mountain of ash. The young child fell to her knees, a look of true distress apon her youth full features. Drawing power, power from the deepest extents of her body she concentrated.

Her mind filled with a single word, a single order.

“Heal. Heal. Heal. Heal. Heal. Heal. Heal!

Every cell, every inch, every atom, every part of her body gave its energy. The young girl’s destroyed hands began to glow, her face began to radiate and shine silver, her body began to exude a thick golden light. Her entire body shone like the brightest star, illuminating the darkness of the secluded forest.

Slowly the light began to flow from her hands. The light began to pass across the bruised and battered body of Sabureela. Slowly the glow coated her and her body began to shine but still Rec radiated. The two young women lay unmoving, joined together by a thick beam of dazzling light. They lay there for hours. Rec’s concentration never once flickered.

* * * *

The fires of the forest began to diminish. The sun started its ascent to its throne apon the white clouds. Still the light shone around the two bodies, shining stronger than the sun itself.

The ash heap stirred. Finally the beam of light was severed. Rec pushed Sabureela onto her back. Coughs churned out of he Gerudo’s thin parched lips, a laugh of relief escaped those of Rec. Slowly the Gerudo lifted her heavy eyelids. Her eyes met those of Rec.

“Thanks kid, I owe you.”

The Gerudo made a weak attempt at a cheerful smile as her raspy voice spoke the words.

“Just repaying the favour.”

The two women let out a joyful laugh.

OoC: OK I think this ends it very nicely, you never know after this the two may even become friends and for an added bonus Rec has just discovered a new skill hidden deep within her (you might be able to get an upgrade because of this!)
