Ice, Iced babeh (Gaurdian dragon)

OoC: This battle will be taking place upon ice. XD

BiC: Blaze straightened up, smiling in satisfaction at the way she had succesfully tied her shoelaces. The footwear she had been supplied with had a certain spell that only allowed her to tie her shoelaces properly, or they would disintegrate. The shopkeeper had told her that they were the cheapest pair, and Blaze had taken them without second thought. Blaze looked up and scanned her surroundings. to her back were some small mountains which she had just traversed, and to her front was a large lake. It streacthed across until there was a lovely feild with which she was sure she could lie down in.

I wonder If i have enough strenght to freeze this? she wondered, as she gathered some ice magic in her hand. She cooped some water up out of the water and froze it. She quickly calculated in her head how much water there would be.

Hmm... If I did freeze it, I would be weaker and vunerable to weaker enemies attacks...

Blaze gathered more magic into her hands. This time, she brought her arms up into the air, letting moisture from teh atmosphere gather into it. Nodding, she hovered in the air for a few seconds before bringing her hands down and slamming them into the ground.

The earth rumbled slightly, and then pure ice magic shot out from her body spreading across the lake and covering it with ice. Blaze knew that it wouldnt last long, so she stepped onto the ice and attempted to run across. Unfortunately, she wasn't much of a skater and fell face first into the ice. Cursing under her breath, she got up and accidentally shot a bolt of ice over her shoulder. Thinking nothing of it, she took two quick steps across the ice when she heard a voice behind her.

" I dont like ice being shot at me.." Blaze gulped and turned around to confront the stranger.

OoC: Okay that is comical.

Testing a teleport spell over in his dimension. A man skilled in the arts of holy magic, he cast a spell. Teleportus Humitus

Then the man warped to a lush green plain. A girl froze a lake, then slipped, she got up and ice flew in his direction.
He swung his bladed end staff and sliced the icicle in half.

I dont like ice being shot at me.." he said with a kind yet surprised voice.

"I am truly sorry," she said to him. "I am Blaze, Blaze Bodylifter. Who might you be?"

"I am Marcus Gaffolia, monk for the Altar." he replied. "That was not a very safe example of your magic skills. Who were you trying to impress?"

"Uhh, no one," she replied. "I was just trying to reach the field on the other side of this lake."

After hearing her reply, Marcus noticed the ice melting, it was not melting in a normal way either.

Levitate! They were both lifted up above the ground. He then noticed the ground smoking.

"This is not good," Marcus said.

OoC: Your turn.

OoC: Oh, should we team up and fight somethign else or something? Well, Ill do that anyway. XD

BiC: Blaze gasped as the ice melted under her feet. Marcus shouted something and Blazes body lifted over the now melted water, her feet only inches from falling in. However, the water was not normal.

She hovered over to the edge of the field and turned around. Steam was rapidly rising from the stream, and Blaze could feel a great presence of heat from under the lake. She wiped her brow and turned to Marcus.

"There’s something down there..."

Marcus nodded." lets check it out."

Blaze and the monk cautiously moved to the shallows of the lake looking down. Blaze could see nothing, as the steam was constantly getting into her eyes, when...

A colossal shape burst out of the water, spraying boiling water onto Blaze and Marcus. Blaze screamed as the water scalded her skin, and she hopped backwards, pulling Marcus with her. They both observed the thing looming out of the water.

It had a large humanoid form, though it was thick and it had no neck. There were just two rubies were the eyes should be. Its whole boy was black, though veins of lava stretched across its body, glowing and turning the water to steam. Blaze pushed Marcus into the ground as the thing looked around, trying to see who had dared freeze its domain.

"It's a lava golem," Marcus said. "They are strong beings, but they are vulnerable to cold things and usually water...but this one is not deterred by it. It should be howling in agony!"

Blaze thought for a moment. "Perhaps it is more of a boiled water golem, if you catch my drift. But first I need to get rid of these burns..."

Blaze held her hand over her burns and used her ice thaw ability, pouring a healing ice spell into her wounds. She did the same to Marcus and they stood up, unsheathing their weapons. Marcus spun his bladed stuff once and Blaze fitted an arrow to her bow, enchanting it and causing it be enveloped in ice magic. She watched as the Golem turned its attention to Marcus and shot a ball of water at him. Marcus ducked and Blaze bent back her bow, scanning the golem’s body for a weak point. She took aim and the eyes and fired. The arrow zoomed towards them, landing right in the middle. The beast howled and glared murderously at Blaze.

"YOU...DARE ATTACK THE MIGHTY WATER GOLEM ISHTHRAT?"

Blaze gulped and dived out of the way just in time to duck a ball of water and see Marcus send a spell at Ishthrat. The spell did nothing and the golem shook with silent mirth.

"WEAKLINGS...YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT POWER I POSSES!"

The monster groaned, and, absorbing the water around it, expanded its body to two times its normal size. A sapphire glowed from the middle of its body.

"FACE ME, PUNY SORCERESS! I AM THE KING OF THE GOLEMS!"

It opened its mouth and a torrent of water flowed from it. Thinking quickly, Blaze gathered magic in her hands and shot bolt after bolt at the water, freezing it and sending the ice into the golem’s mouth. It shrieked and clutched its throat, staggering about. Marcus jumped up and shot a light spell at the sapphire cracking it and causing even more pain to the golem.

The holy mage ran over to Blaze. “I know its weak point! It’s that sapphire... but we need distractions, otherwise it can block our attacks..."

Blaze nodded as the Golem clenched its hands together. "Okay, but I’m sure this golem has a few more tricks up his sleeve..."


OoC: Is that good?

OoC: Sure I suppose.

Marcus changed his shape to that of an ice eagle.

Golem, up here! he shouted, landing on the golem and changing his shape back.
His boots slowly started to melt.

Now! he yelled to Blaze.

She put her hands together created a ball of ice, and through it at the sapphire on the Golems head.

No! How could this be, the golem said falling to the ground cold and wet.
It slammed against the ground, and was destroyed.

Nice job! Marcus said exitedly as he flew back as an ice eagle.
Then the sun became a dark red color, people could stare at it and it would not phase their eyes.

That can not be good! exclaimed Marcus.

BiC: Something was wrong. The body of the golem was slowly melting, turning into a Jell-O- like substance. It was a strange mix of blue and red. A great heat radiated from it. Blaze gasped as it burnt through her skin. Blisters appeared upon the surface of her flesh. She sobbed in pain and started running. The heat was still flowing, and she could not stop it. She heard Marcus shouting from a few meters away. She was losing her energy, and could hear the mocking laughter of the creature ringing in her ears.

"Hahaha....."

Blaze brought her blistered hands into the air. Gathering all the magic she could, she threw it straight at the mass. As soon as it hit it turned to pure ice. The heat suddenly subsided and Blaze dropped to the ground, her skin red and peeling. Holding her hands over her burns, she slowly healed them and staggered over to Marcus’s unconscious body. She treated his wounds the same way and cooled off his brow, reviving him. He shook his head.

"So...That is the true form of the water golems. Next time we won’t be so lucky..."

Blaze lifted him up and stared at the mass of lumpy ice which had been the golem. She narrowed her eyes. Something was moving. Blaze stepped closer to it and shrieked.

The ice suddenly transformed itself into another golem, though this one was consisted of all ice, with water middle. Inside of it was a brain like thing, the same thing that had been inside it before.

Morpha.

Blaze stepped to the side as it bashed its gigantic fist into the ground beside her. Marcus shot a spell at the core, but it only took away a fistful of ice. The golem turned its attention to him and took a step towards him. Blaze took the opportunity to take aim at the nucleus inside of it with her bow, and shot, her aim straight and true. It hit and cracked the ice slightly. Blaze shot another at its head, and it turned its attention to her. Marcus brought out his staff, leaping up and slashing at the middle. The crack expanded and a more ice shattered, leaving a small layer to where the nucleus was. The golem swung around and swiped Marcus, sending him flying. Blaze ran quickly to his side.

"Marcus! Are you alright?"

He arched his back. "I’m fine. We almost have him- once we destroy the nucleus, it's gone"

Blaze shook her hair out of her face and got up, Marcus following her. She brought out her knives, readying them to strike.

“Ill attacks his front, and you destroy the nucleus, okay?"

Marcus did not answer, but she knew that he had heard. She jumped up and stabbed her knives into the ice, cracking them. The golem punched Blaze and she skidded along the ground, landing 5 meters away. Blaze grunted and lifter herself up, just in time to see the nucleus fall out of the back of the golem.

The result was instant. The golem suddenly shattered into millions of pieces. The shards melted as soon as they hit the ground, leaving the brain thing flopping around on the ground uselessly. Marcus raised his staff and swiped at the thing, making it explode, water flying everywhere- the water glistening like tears, blissfully reflecting off of the now normal sun.

OoC: Though it would have been cool if you let me type while killing it, not big. -_-

That is wierd? Marcus wondered out loud. Why would the sun change to such a dark color like that for that reason? It only changed to...

Suddenly a large vortex opened up above the two, sucking them in.

Is this what you plan for us? So be it, Marcus said before they were sucked in, Blaze looking at him like he was nuts.

Are you crazy!? she yelled. This could...

Calm down. I know where this vortex will take us. he cut in calmly.

After the vortex closed when they got out. Marcus asked.

Do you know where we are?

No. Blaze replied.

My dimension. he added dragons flying over, and monsters wandering the ground. They were by what seemed to be a large mechanical city with people walking all over inside it. The landscape was rough, and the sky was dark, it was starting to rain.

They went inside a building Marcus' house, they stayed there a while.

OoC: Okay they need to start with a long conversation. You start the conversation and we can finish it sometime later. Also don't forget to talk about the surroundings and other things. Make them get up and maybe move around a little.

OoC: You know, this seems more like an rpg than a battle. Do you think we should move it to the crossroads?
BoC: Blaze shuddered and closed her eyes. Rain pattered softly on the outside of the strange house. It was cold.

Blaze had known. She had known ever since Marcus has borught them to his house that it was not the end to the golem. being the leader of them, Blaze had thought that other golems would have been after them by now. But then she had thought again- How were they to know they had teleported to another realm? But she could tell- battling the leader of the golems had linked strange magical bond between them that Blaze could not dispose of. It had magically etched its thoughts into Blazes brain when it had died. She wondered if it had effected Marcus as well. She shivered, pulling her orange cloak around her. It was cold.

But not nearly as cold as the eyes of the terrible golem Isthrat.

Marcus whistled happily and bowed before a man of an age far surpassing his own. He had decided to take a walk outside, and had walked into a fellow monk that he had decided to chat to. The monk had informed Marcus of recent affairs, and then strode off. Marcus had set off to his house to check on Blaze.

Marcus twisted the doorknob and the door flung open, revealing a pale faced Blaze, her cloak pulled around her tightly and her bottom lip quivering. Marcus put a hand to her forehead.

"You have a cold I think," he said softly. "Eat this..."

He handed a small flower to blaze, its petals dotted with a deep crimson colour. Blaze looked at it distastefully and popped it into her mouth. Surprisingly, it tasted like milk mixed with something else that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She swallowed it- and only seconds after she felt her cold slowly fade away. Marcsu smiled.

"That's the liflia flower. It is very rare, and the only cure for the common cold..of course, it only grows here..."

Blaze thanked him and he got up and walked over to another room. She heard his voice from the other room.

"You can explore outside if you want...But try to get back before midnight, some of the dragons and monsters are particularly vicous then..."

Blaze picked up her cloak and folded it delicately. Placing it upon the table, she opened the door ,walked outside and was greeted by the eyes of a murderous black dragon, its tail swishing around its head. Blaze ducked just as the dragon swiped her with it, the end richocheting off of the walls.

Marcus heard a clanging noise, as he rushed outside to meat the dragon. He took his weapon and stuck it in the dragon's right front leg. The dragon flew up into the sky.

Levitate! Marcus jumped up and used his skill. I need to stop that dragon before... Too late. The dragon had headed toward the peak where some of the other rouge dragons resided.

He ran to the Queen of the city. And informed her of the situation, then ran back to the house to explain what was going on.

Listen to what I have to say child. he told Blaze.
Eleven years ago. There was a war between dragons and humans, the dragons and humans had lost many. My own two siblings were included in this war, at the ages of fourteen and thirteen and a half. My brother was to recieve a dragon egg to use as a hostage. The dragon noticed what he was doing. He fell off the side of the nest, on the egg, and broke it. The dragon sensed fear and terror in the eyes of the boy, then acted as a dog would for his master. Later the dragon flew over to the war with my sister and my brother on it. A stray spear had been lunged into the heart of the dragon out of nowhere. After that night dragons and humans started living together in harmony. Only so many dragons still hold a hate for humans.

OoC: I need to do other things this should be good enough for yah.

"but...where is the lair of these dragons? Who is their leader?" she asked, her mind filled with intruige.

Marcus sighed and borught a hand through his hair, deep in thought. "Well, some say that they live in caves, spread across the region. However, the leader of them is unkown...some say he is not even a dragon himself. i had begun to hunt him down and question him, and I strongly thought it was that golem we vanquished before, but a golem would not have enough strength to rule the dragons..."

Blaze nodded, her mind wondering. "Why had Marcus gone to another dimension to search for it?" As if he could read her thoughts, he provided teh asnwer to her dilemma.

"I heard rumour that a war was brewing in other land, so I decided to check it out. I figured out the coordinates but they seemed a bit off....That was were I met you. I thought the golem met the description, but he was supposed to be an almost invincible mage that was smart as well. the golem, after further inspection, showed none of those traits..."

A distant memory lingered on the edge of Blaze's mind, but shes hook it off." when do you think he-"

Blazes voice was cut off as the door banged open and a very shaken old man wearing some strange garments walked in, holding onto the doorway for support. he nodded to Marcus in greeting then looked at Blaze.

"A dragon is here...he wishes to talk to you...you may bring along master Marcus as well..."

Marcus grabbed him as he swayed on the spot. "He says that he will attack some villagers if you do not obey..."

Blaze nodded and gave a gesture to Marcus. The monk whispered some soft words to the man and he walked off, his stride rather lopsided. Blaze picked up her cloak and fastened around her collar. She looked outwards to see a great plain, with a large figure situated quite close to the village in it. She noted the wings protruding from it's back and walked to the plain.

What is your purpose here young one? the dragon asked.

I was brought through a portal, she responded.

I shall test your skills, you also monk, if you deny my offer I will burn this city to the ground, he said.

Two dragons came from both sides of the large old looking one. They were red and blue. The blue one challenged Blaze to a battle, and the red one challenged Marcus.

Let it be, on this night of fate, two young warrior's, and two young dragon's, destinies were bonded, as for I it is time for my departure from this world. Let it be, that this night, is written down on the Tablets of Time.

The dragon then fell, dead to the world. As Marcus, Blaze and the dragons engaged in a fight. They were vigerous and careful, the two humans. The dragons were ruthless, jolting their mouths forward trying to bite the two humans. They were not about to give up. Marcus released the blade of his rod, plunging it into the wing of the red dragon, the dragon cried out in pain.

OoC: Continue it.

Blaze did a somersault backwards in order to dodge an attack from the blue dragon. Blaze focussed some magic into the palm of her hand. In return the dragon opened its mouth and generated energy. Blaze could hear Marcus clashing with the red dragoon not far away.

Blaze narrowed her eyes. "Just a bit more..."

With a cry of effort she forced her magic towards the dragon, just as the winged beast shot a blast of ice out of its mouth.

"Woooooooooooooosh!"

Blaze closed her eyes, and then opened them. The whole plain as covered in pure ice, its surface sparkling mischievously in the moonlight. She grinned, turning to look at Marcus he smiled and they nodded their heads. With a fearsome screech Marcus transformed into a great eagle, its wings glowing like fire. It swirled around Blaze three times before zooming for her and letting her jump on his back.

The eagle transformed into a much larger version. Blaze held on grimly and shot a bolt of ice at the blue dragon, hitting its eye. It roared, and the red dragon flew up to attack them. Blaze leapt off Marcus the eagles back as he rammed into the head of the red dragon. Now both of the dragons were groaning horribly from their injuries. Blaze cocked an eyebrow.

"You know, for mythical beasts these aren't as strong as I thought they were..."

Marcus didn't answer, but he kept his eyes peeled to the dragons. After a few seconds they both got up, staring with loathing at the two combatants.

"Now, we will show you a form more suited for this battle..." said the red one.

Suddenly the dragons features swivelled and dissolved- they shrunk, and finally they were in the form of two elves.

One was sleek and had long blue hair, while the other looked murderous and had long red hair. They both grinned and unsheathed their katanas. In response Blaze brought out her shards and Marcus readied his bladed staff. The blue one leapt towards Blaze suddenly, but she was ready. She jumped out of the way and watched as the elf slid and stumbled across the ice. She remembered before when she had been like that. But this time, she wasn't a klutz. She skated smoothly across the ice and knocked the elf across the head as he attempted to push himself back up. She tilted her head to the side in amusement.

"Try using your katana-"

Blaze gasped as his sword cut through the air. The blade caught Blaze in the hand, causing it to sever the hand almost right off. She wailed in agony and clutched it. Her eyes burned with anger.

"That's it. Now your gonna get it!"

She leapt up and brought a knife deep into his stomach. Thinking quickly, she skated around to the back of him and kicked him in the back, shoving him forward. He turned and swung again at her. This time she brought up her knife and deflected it with ease. She twirled around and caught him in the nose with the butt of the knife, but he barely felt it and he swiped at her legs. She hopped over the blade, but unfortunately in doing so she lost her balance and fell over. She rolled to the side as he brought the blade down right to where her head was a moment ago. She pushed herself up and pushed him over, sending him skidding. Yet again he got up and hacked at her a few times, this time swiping her tunic open to reveal a soft undershirt. She snarled at him.

"Won't you give up?"

She brought a knife up, and with deadly precision, sent it right into his forehead. She watched in amazement as he fell to the ground, a blank expression upon his face. She raised her hand in triumph.

"Yays! I beat a dragon!"

Be careful Blaze, that dragon may not be dead yet, Marcus said dodging the red elf's katana. Persistant are we not, elf!

Ahh, but yes you have not yet witnessed our true power monk, he replied.

The red elf grabbed the body of the blue one and revived it, fusing with it, he said.

I have become one with this dragon, fear us, for we are life and death, he said.

Life and death? What is the meaning of these words Marcus? she asked.

No time, we must defeat these beings. he replied. As for your hand, bring it over here.

She walked over to Marcus, he put his hand over her's and healed it.

Perfect timing! Marcus exclaimed, shoving Blaze out of the way. He then grabbed his staff, releasing the blade, he stood firm, and stabbed it into the creature's heart as it jumped towards him.

OoC: Make it good Jay. By the way, onilinkc4 has a dragon that can go elf just so you know.

OoC: Yeah, lots of people have characters like that. That's why I did it

Blaze closed here eyes as she heard the elf scream in agony. She opened them to see Marcuses blade right through the elf's heart. Time seemed to stand still for a moment, and then marcus pulled the blade out. The elf shuddered and started dissolving, its features melding back into that of a dragon. The beast groaned, then got up.

"It's still alive!" Shouted Blaze.

Marcus took a step back. 'Never understimate the power of a dragon, Blaze."

The dragon swirled high into the sky, and Blaze watched in horrified fascination as many spectral enegeries gathered to it, turning the dragon a multitude of colours. Blaze looked at Marcus.

"What is it doing?"

Marcus shook his head. "I have no idea-"

His talk was interrupted as the dragon dove towards earth, the spirits surrounding him flying out to meet Blaze and Marcus.

A strange shaped one that resembled a tiger leapt towards Blaze. She used an ice bolt to stop it in it's tracks, then it vanished with a howl. Anotehr few came at her, all of them disapearing with one hit.

The dragon flew up again, and this time it opened it's mouth, unleashing a stream of fire at Blaze. She held out her hand, and using ice enegry, shot some at the fire. It created a shiled that held between them, though she could only keep the ice there and unmelting as long as she had enough power. She lfet her strength weakening...She let go, and fell to the ground, not getting up.

Blaze! Are you alright? Marcus asked, there was no response, he knew she was just out for a bit, he stayed by her so the dragon would not attack her.

Why do you bother human? You may stay alive for now, but we will destroy you, this is not a mere test this is your path, the path you chose to take, the fused dragons said.

I am here to protect my friends and family from the renegade dragons, you can not stop me from doing what I have chosen to do, now. Begon! He cast a fog around him and Blaze, conseiling them from the creature.
Then he ran up and thrust the bladed end of the staff into the creature's heart, it dropped to the ground, it died in a puddle of its own blood.

OoC: Your next.

Blazes eyelids fluttered and she looked up, seeing marcus crouching in front of her. "Ughhh....Stupid dragon..."

She pushed herslef up, balancing her wight on the ice. She looked over to see the dragon laying dead in a pool of its own blood. She arched her back in pain and plucked something form her back. A splinter. There were more, so she pulled them out. She took out her bow to see it had been snapped n half when she had blacked out. She sighed and strapped the bow to her back, the edges constantly poking into her back. The ice mage turned to see Marcus looking concerned at her. She waved her hand in dismissal.

"Im fine. So we took don these dragons, huh?"

Marcus nodded, the blade on his staff stained slightly with red. She turned away and brought out her dagger. She bent down, and turning ehr head way, plucked a scale from the dragon. Marcus looked at her inquisitively.

"Whats that for?"

Blaze got up, tossing her hair out of her eyes. " I heard somewhere that dargon scales are magical"

Marcus wiped his staff on his shirt. " I see. You'll need something like that- it will help you on whatever quest you may embark upon. What I'd like to know is, how could you turn this whole plain into ice?"

Blaze shrugged as the ice slowly melted under her feet. "I don't know. Sometimes my spells are a lot stronger than I think they are...I guess it would explain why I blacke dout so easily in that fight." She blushed. "I think i need more practice"

Marcus turned around, his staff gripped tightly in his hand. His hair blew along with the breeze, his serious eyes scanning the horizon. Blaze watched him curiously for a few momenst before bending down to tie her shoelaces. She sighed oin annoyance as she tied it wrongly and the enchantment kicked in. They turned to ash. She cursed several times and wrapped her feet in some cloth. She got back up and stopped, seeing how Marcus was walking back to his town.

Blaze was about to stop him when she heard a buzzing noise behind her. She twisted around to see a portal glowing mysteriously at her, rays of light emenating from it. She called out to Marcus and he looked over his shoulder to see her. She saw his confused face just as the portal swallowed her up.

There was a dull thud as Blaze fell to the grass. She brushed a bug from her hair and got up, watching as the portal slowly started to dissipate.

I guess I wasn't meant to be there, she thought.

She started trudging along, smiling slightly when she saw the lake where they had defeated the golem. The lake was half full, probably due to the fact that it had been raining for quite a while. Blaze turned back around to see a light flash in the distance. She watched as a figure ran out to meet her.

"Just thoguht I should say goodbye, young one," Marcus stated, beaming at her.

OoC: Well that seemed like a short battle O.o

BiC:
I see that this battle is over for now Blaze, I will return to my own time now. Keep practicing your magic skills, as he said this he grabbed his staff and swung it, opening a rip with his staff's blade, then he went through it.

After getting back to his own time, he went to see his siblings, still mourning over his parents supposed death. Though thy never actually met there doom just yet, but he had no idea of there fate. (See his bio)
